I know I rarely post much these days but behind the scenes I am still at it but between a full time job and giving my all to creating content for D&D games, progress is a tad slow. I have a lot of comic content that I'm hoping to drop at some point but I'd rather get it all done and schedule release dates.. But anyway, this ain't about me.

Things have come up and I'm going to pump the gas a little bit. A really good friend of mine, NineTailGoddess has fell upon a hefty bit of hard luck and got screwed out of just as hefty a sum of money, leaving her dangerously in the red with the bank. She'd worked really hard to get her hands on the money to afford a decent PC rig so that she can get into the world of content creation herself with V-tubing, streaming and making videos but things didn't go to plan with the seller who sold her botched goods. She got a refund, initially. But after a couple of months when the money had been put to other things already, the seller pulled some scummy tactics with the bank by being unresponsive to emails and knowing what they were doing to get that cash unexpectedly charged back from her bank. Hey, everybody, long time no see!

It's been what, three years? A lot has happened over what feels like both a short and really long period of time. Things were great for a while and then 2020 happened to all of us. I'll cut to the chase with this part- There were a slew of complications before Christmas, a motorcycle accident in January and finally - being made redundant from my job, courtesy of COVID-19 and the lockdowns in March. It's really been rough for everyone in the world lately, hasn't it?

Well, on the bright side, after being done feeling sorry for myself I had been thinking about how much I miss drawing and creating. I've done a few creative things, started DMing a D&D campaign and finally picked up my stylus again. I've been wanting to get back into art, feeling so rusty and out of touch. Struggling to get back into the flow but I feel it's coming back to me little by little. So, since I have the time to do it now, I decided I'd throw myself into a comic project I've had in my head for many years and finally set up a Patreon properly. It's a Sci-Fi action adventure. No naughty stuff planned for it but it's still going to be "mature" because of a few scenes of implied torture right off the bat, peril and plenty of bad language. Although I'll probably decide on a more NSFW project soon as well to run along side it.

The first 11 pages of the comic are already up on my Patreon, check them out if you fancy pledging. But for the first 11 or so introductory pages, I'll be releasing them here and on other sites every couple of days instead of a whole month later. After that, people will have to wait for the month. Hey everyone! Merry 2017. Already it's looking to be a good year [at least better than that last one, that many have resolved to never to talk about again.] and I hope the positive trend keeps going!
But I do have some bad news- I'm afraid artwork from me is going to become a lot more scarce than it already is. I'll still be drawing when I can and posting whatever I draw here when possible though.

This is because I went and got a job! I had the interview yesterday and they hired me on the spot, so Nox is joining the ol' nine-to-five grind. But not so much. I've managed to get myself a really great job [I won't say where] but I'll be selling to people a couple days a week, learning products and getting to know the customers. And for the rest of my time I'll be managing the company's social media accounts, so I'll be playing around on their facebook and twitter. They even want to buy me cameras so I can make youtube videos for them and do product reviews. They also have their own brands that are designed and manufactured in-house and I may also be able to get in on that to with my design background. There's a lot of possibilites and everything has been looking up for me these last couple of days. The end of 2016 really was a huge downer but this is a really huge change. It's really scary too but it's the good kind of scary.

So wish me luck! It's too bad that I won't be able to post as much work as I thought I would be this year but it's such a relief knowing that I'm going to have a stable income and I'm not having to live on the cheap week to week.
I start at the weekend so I'm going to use today to get what artwork I can done that I've promised [just the one raffle prize to do, if I'm not mistaken and maybe some other casual pieces with frineds]

Hello, everyone!

Just an update for everyone regarding my life, some cool artists I'd like to introduce you to and maybe some other topics if I can think of any as I'm writing this.

First, about my life at the moment-
Well, it's pretty good right now! I was awarded my Master's Degree, so that's a load off with not having to worry about homework deadlines and it's been nice just drawing things because I want to for the last week and not worrying about them being graded or having to worry about recoding my processes and annotations blag blah blah. I don't have to work like an academic anymore.

Downside is that it's job time. I'm looking for work so that I can pay rent and start living. I've been told not to worry about rent too much but I do, I really worry about becoming a deadbeat. But for now I'm grateful I can just work on some things for myself.

Sorry I've been more or less absent and haven't posted anything in such a long time, my university work has been kicking me in the nads lately. Both fortunately and unfortunately- I only have a couple of weeks until the final deadline. And I've got a lot to do. But! I'm turning this into something positive! I decided I'd like to get back into streaming my artwork and since I'm working on stuff anyway, I might as well stream while I'm doing my uni work. Comic pages are both tricky and expensive as there's a lot of work involved in them. this is because they take up a lot of time to do and to get them done in a timely manner I have to more or less put all other projects on hold while I'm working on them. But I do think my prices are fair considering the amount of work that go into them and the amount of time I give up to make them.
Level 1: Lines- $30+ [£19.77+] depending on the level of complexity
Level 2: Flat Colour- $50+ [£32.94+] depending on the level of complexity
Level 3: Full Shading- $70+ [£46.12+] depending on the level of complexity
Backgrounds in Comic Pages
If you want your comic to have backgrounds in the panels, an additional $25 [£16.40] will cover the whole page's worth of panels, no need to pay for each little panel one by one.
Having a Story
If you have no story prepared but you're sure you want a comic and you at least know the nature of the comic- you can either have me work on writing a story for you for an additional $25 [£16.40],or you can add me on Skype and we can quickly write up a story together.
For people who want to spend large amounts of money on a comic project, $500+ [£327.25+], you can have my Skype address and we can talk regularly throughout the project- I'll even stream when I can. I'll also throw in a full colour front cover page free of charge.

Confused?
All of these prices are a sort of base/guideline- if your character [or characters] is especially complex and have a lot of detail- it means it'll take longer for me to do and so the price may go up a little bit. So if your character has wings, extra limbs, more of anything than what is necessary or complicated colouring - there are additional fees starting at $5 [£3.28] and will go up the more complex the content is. Please message me in some way for a quote if you feel this will affect you or even if you just want to be sure of how much you'd be paying- I am open to deals for loyal customers or people purchasing lots of commission back-to-back. So if I know you and like you- we can negotiate.

Some of these are also pretty old but I will be updating them as I go and improve more and more over time, so slight changes might appear here and there but ultimately- things should get better and better.
Patreon
I will soon be launching my Patreon in hopes of having just a little extra trickling in. It's where I'll be uploading all of my work a month before anywhere else- including commissioned work. Now- I'm not saying that if you commission me, you won't be able to see your work for an extra month. Commissioned work won't be affected and will be posted to all of the sites I upload on at the same time, including Patreon.
Payment Information
I'm based in England but my prices are in USD [$] since that's where the majority of my business comes from so I accept payments in USD- but I have also provided a British Pound Sterling equivalent [£] for those in the UK so you don't have to look up how much you're spending- But please- send payments in USD regardless of where you're from. Things are just simpler that way and there's no arguments that one place is paying less than the other even though that's not the case. Believe me- it's happened.

Wait Times **
Wait times are subject to change. I'm a university student doing a masters degree so sometimes the class work is going to take priority. Usually I will be able to tell people wanting commission work that I'm unavailable due to class work overload and can't accept commissions until I'm done but it can happen in the middle of bigger projects as well- so please be understanding.
Where The Money Goes
Some may be wondering "Why the price increase? What will you do with this money?" and other such questions.
Firstly- I don't smoke, I don't do drugs and I only drink alcohol on special occasions- so you can be assured that your money is not fuelling any bad habits. I'm a good boy.
What I will be using the money on is keeping myself fed, paying electricity bills, paying off my motorcycle tests and when those are done and I finally have a motorcycle- paying to keep the tank full so I can keep getting to class.
As for the price increase- it's simply because I have to make the time I'm spending on making artwork for people worth it for me. I don't think they're unreasonable- I've seen prices much more steep than mine. But I am open to feedback regarding my prices and whether they should change. I may suck at it and prefer playing on PC whilst using an Xbox controller but I'm still having lots of fun with it and I pre-ordered the Digital Delux download. I'm sure I'll get better at it with a bit more time though and when I'm able to play hardcore mode. I find I can get the drop on players and get them with the first hit of a sniper rifle but it gives them way too much time between reloads to duck, hide and recover. So hardcore mode will see me right back into a positive K/D ratio when the full game is released ad I won't have to be so picky about head shots.

I'm AthestNox on Origin for any of you Battlefield players wanting an extra pal to play with either fur the Beta or when the whole thing is released at the beginning of November.

My computer was being weird a while ago, not letting me send messages on Skype and such, so I thought "Okay, I'll restart my computer and see if that fixes it." After I restart it, it goes into Startup Repair, which is fine, go fix yourself, PC. But then, after over-an-hour of waiting, it basically tells me that there is no problem, yet it still won't let me into my system and use my computer. And it does this every time now; I'm stuck in the startup repair loop. I've tried everything from using command prompts to trying to run Safe Mode and reset the startup sequence. It gave me nothing. So after some digging around on the web with my craptop I think the only method left available to me is to wipe/reformat my Hard Drive, reinstall my OS and start over again. I'm not so pissed off about having to redownload programs, I've already thought up a list of the key software that I need to get back to work such as Photoshop, Sai, Maya, Camtasia, etc. and games are no problem; Steam remembers all of that for me. What I am pissed off about is that I'll have lost a metric fuck-ton of irreplaceable files like aaaaall of my work I was doing and a lot of music.

On the bright side; at least this happened before I go back to university on Thursday, otherwise I would be flipping tables over losing homework that's due for hand-in.

As a games designer, artist and very interested consumer I thought I'd make a journal about this game and share an idea with everyone.

Now first off; I never played the DayZ mods for Arma II although they greatly interested me but just as I was thinking "Alright, time to give this a go." I remembered they were working on the Standalone version using the Arma III engine. So now, being the patient Nox that I am, I'm waiting for the standalone version which will hopefully have a public release of the Alpha at some point. I know there's a leaked version out there going around but I'd rather not spoil the game for myself by even going near it; it's not fair to the guys making the game and it's a very early build filled with a lot bugs and missing a lot of features.

But I really can't wait for the game to come out, it's looking great even with just the Dev-Vids posted quite a while ago and even though it's still wasn't quite finished I was impressed with what they showed off at E3. It's gotten me quite inspired and given me a great idea for a comic. Not only will I be recording my experiences on the game as lets plays when it comes out but I'll let the events that happen while I play influence what happens in this said comic, be it that the main character/s meet with new survivors, the places or they go, encounters with dangerous people and even their deaths should they happen.

Or better yet; who else is interested in the game? How would you feel about being in the lets play videos and teaming up in game some time? You yourself can influence what happens some and even have your 'sona appear in the comic, as well as have an ally in the zombie apocalypse whether you're only around just a little while to do something specific or you're seeking a more permanent partnership. Or maybe you just want someone to play with in the game and I'm completely cool with that too! We could get a whole group going. Fortify somewhere, raid bandit camps the whole lot!

Well my mother's not going away anymore, so I'm not really needed to stay over and look after the dogs but I'm still invited to stay at hers. My main incentive for going was some time away to myself, so I guess it's not happening 'cause it's not much of a vacation if all I'll be doing is her gardening. Hey everyone. Just letting everyone know that I may be disappearing for a week or so from Sunday. My mother's going on holiday and I said I'd stay at hers to look after her two dogs. Problem is I don't have a working laptop anymore to take with me but I did tell her that I have a lot I want to do and that I'd like to bring my PC with me so hopefully I can get it all over there and have a nice work-holiday away from home with my good pals Harry and Pinch [the Dogs, of course].

To be honest, I only said I'd stay at her place while she's away because I need the vacation away from here. I was sad enough as it is with stuff that's happened, the things that have been on my mind and now there are problems here at home making me even more miserable and upset. All I want is to be happy, y'know? So, I'm gonna get away for a week-ish. But as I said, I'll try to take my PC with me so I can carry on working.

Maybe I'll take a proper holiday soon. Save up some cash until either January or my birthday and take off for a couple of weeks abroad. Anyone fancy a visit from Nox? Maybe have a sleepover? Oh god I have to find hotels and.. Taxis and stuff.. Oh well. It's a ways off yet.

So I've thrown together a little survey that I'd like people to fill in so that I can shape this new project properly in my head before I go and draft. Hello, everyone. I'm back, after an absence of sorts. Plenty has happened during my short break and some of it.. in fact most of it.. has been rather saddening. But despite this; I'm back now and back to work. So I've been working on a few things, getting stuff done that I should have gotten to a while ago and drawing a fair bit to keep my mind occupied in the mean time. So expect uploads from me sooner or later.

But.. this free time is also a downer. Basically I found myself thinking "Time to get back in the saddle. Meet someone you really like, let that guard down and take the risk again." So I did. I got to really liking someone. But.. Have you ever met someone and they seem perfect.. But then after learning more and stumbling across things about them you realise that they're one of 'those' people. Not as morally inclined as you, lets just say. And they're up to things that really wound you, even though you're not with them. Although you wanted to ask them if they would like to be. It's like that, right now. Free time and room to think when that stuff is on your mind is just awful. So, I've come up with even more projects to keep my mind occupied, putting the guard back up and leaving it there for now. At least until I meet someone who wants me enough to chip away at it. Hopefully I'll be able to get any out standing work out of the way and get to business with my personal plans such as the comic and other stuff. Feeling inspired and creative, or rather forcing myself to be and it's sort of working.

Anyway, as of this moment; I'm not longer taking commissions unless I say "Oh hey, I'm doing x amount of slots." which won't be unless I really need it. People can feel free to make requests but seriously; Request. Not requirement. Send it to me and then forget about it, if I want to do it then I will let you know. Don't ask or pester because I'll ignore you and just not do it. Plus please, make it interesting for me as well. It's my free time and I want to enjoy what I do with it, not just get endless requests for "Oh hey I want my character with his fifty-inch dick pounding this chick." No, bro. Just no. I will say though that adding my character/s into the piece or if it involves an interesting/hot/fucking awesome character or idea that those chances go waaay up.

Heya everyone, it's been a while since my last journal. It's weird, it feels like both a lot has happened yet also nothing has happened. I suppose that just comes down to me being busy with university work.

First off: If I owe you shit; get in touch. I have big plans but I'm missing all my old notes and stuff somehow, so I can't see what I still need to do for people and before I get to my personal plans I want to get stuff for other people out of the way first so that I can get on with it relatively leisurely and care free. If you've paid for shit and you think you've waited too long; wait a tad longer and you can have a refund, I've got a few spots of cash coming in in the near future hopefully.

As for personal plans: I hope to be doing a lot more free artwork. I miss being able to just draw for people because I want to. So if I like you, you can likely expect free work at some point in the future.

Also, here's the biggest announcement, I think. I'll be starting.. Well no, more like continuing my comic with a twist. It's LHM but here's the catch. The new name will be LHM: Dice Roll. In this comic, although I'll be drawing it and I'll have a fair bit of control over how the story goes; you, the viewers, also get some control over what happens. Whenever a "Roll" page comes up, it's up to the viewers to post their ideas for what should happen next and those ideas will be selected by me [and perhaps another person] to fill a six, ten or twenty sided die. The dice will be rolled and you can guess what happens next; the rolled submission will be what happens next. But the thing is, like in DnD or something, from one to six, ten, or twenty, the outcomes have to go from progressively bad, to really really awesome. So rolling a 1 could mean Noxy here runs out of the room embarrassed and stubs his toe on the door frame. Whereas rolling a 6 on a six sided die, means he could further his relationship with a character by asking them out, giving a kiss, or just fulfulling generally awesome. And this'll go for all the characters that appear in the comic. So, you get the idea, right? What do you think? The comic -will- contain nudity, -may- contain sex and -could- contain blood and gore should it develop in such a way. I'll have a page made gradually where Shira explains the rules for me <3

Well, it's been a hectic little period over Christmas and the New Year celebrations. A lot busier with family and stuff than I thought I would be. Usually I wake up at Christmas, watch people open presents and then just go back to bed. For me going back to bed was my present but I didn't get that this time 'cause I had places to go. But, I got free meals out of it so I can't complain. Even got Hulk PJs and socks that have my name on out of it. Wearin' 'em right now. The new year was the same just with even less sleep with all the fireworks going off. Oh and my computer scared the shit out of me by making me think my hard drive had fired it;s self when really all it had done was sort of remove it's self from my boot-up sequence. A quick reset to defaults and all was dandy.

Going back to university was cool too, a few worries at first with my student finance but it was all fine in the end. But uni means I'll be quite busy with homework. I get an extra day off but I don't see it being quiet. It'll fill it's self up as a homework day very quickly.

Anyway, not a whole lot of art to show for here yet. And this year I'd really like to do more projects for myself if possible. Like actually get a proper comic going and even set up a little "Ask Shira" kind of thing on Tumblr or however people do it, when/if the comic takes off.

So, anyone who's commissioned me and thinks they've waited too long note me if you'd rather just like a refund than wait, while I can afford it. In the note include your paypal, how much you're to be paid back and if it was ordered through Ramona so I can clarify it with her. I certainly wouldn't argue with having the back of my mind free up a bit to fit in some new ideas of my own and they've been looming over a while now.

Just letting everyone know I'll be on and off a while. My net's been playing up a lot lately and keeps disconnecting randomly and these disconnections are only getting more frequent. Apparently it's 'cause the line's being tested or something, I don't know why they're picking now to do it but it's damn annoying and certainly makes having conversations a pain over Skype or MSN. My dad did mention switching ISPs earlier this week though so maybe it's something to do with that and there's a rumor floating around that a "new box" will be arriving today. Hopefully it's a newer and faster router. According to the complementary but still annoying as hell broadband help message this could last anything up to ten days. If we go by when my net first started being a bitch, hopefully that means it won't go on for more than a week. So until then you'll either see none or very little of me. I'm hoping it won't be -that- bad though.

The holidays have arrived, my end of semester interview went brilliantly for university, everything's submitted, nothing new set as holiday homework. Feels good, man. Now; on to the real work. I need some good music, lots of tea and something to watch.. like a movie that's good but I've already seen so I don't have to look at it as much. I may stream as well in the upcoming days while I work on stuff, in which I've grown to quite like talking as I work.. or rather listen, I don't talk all that much in group chats. Not because of the getting presents. I never get presents and I'm okay with that; can't miss what you've never had. But what I am looking forward to is the bloody time off from doing uni work. Seriously, I'm losing sleep and overworking myself to the point I'm ill because of all the work I have to do. And it's work I have to do mostly at home! The tutors at university are great but I'm paying £9000 to be given a shitload of homework, I had to fork out for a bus pass when really I could more or less be doing this from home. I really can't wait for the next couple of weeks to end so that I have some time to breathe and some time actually sleep. At least until it all starts again in January. Then it's just two more semesters to go before my adventure in America begins. Hopefully the homework eases up at least a little bit over there so I can experience that thing people call "a life".

It's a bi-monthly [or as close to bi-monthly as I can afford to get] raffle where if I think you're particularly awesome and I love oyu, I drop your name into a jar and on raffle day I pull a name out and see who I'm drawing for. the first draw for that will be either tonight or tomorrow morning. Then I'll draw something nice for them in the time around my other work. So if I like you and you're awesome; you could be in there.
