I have to say.... It has been so long since I have been to a furry convention and eurocurence did not disappoint. I came in knowing two people.. I leave.... Knowing a shit ton of furries. I have sat and drank with Russian furries. Bullshitted with UK furries. Been hit on by furries from the netherlands. Met furries from back stateside. Chilled with many germans and enjoyed some of the most authentic amazing chinese food. Danced with Norwegans.... got a insane commission done for a MASSIVE custom note book. Meet furries that had just found the fandom and loved it and remembered good times with furries i longer than the dozen years I have been a furry. Well, it seems my last few days of having any kind of free time is coming to a close and what has an Athroun been doing with his last week of free time? You've not seen him anywhere?!? Well folks, thats because after all the traveling over europe, the last week before leaving for training and deployment this game called Final Fantasy XIV came out.

I started playing because what the hell. Final Fantasies TEND to be good. Not always though. Have to say this one is pretty addictive even though it is a MMO. Normally I hate mmos because it is quest this quest that. Boriiing. Plots in there... somewhere... if you spend months playing all the factions and leveling all the way up. In Final Fantasy XIV though, the plot is there from the get go. You can follow it, or wander off and do other things and come back to it. Theres a plot that follows your class and the main quest so that is pretty cool. Yes, it is kind of sappy do gooder kind of thing and a lot of movies, but square enix has done it in a way that keeps my attention. Which I have to say it pretty impressive as all other MMOs have failed. EQ 1&2, WoW, Guild Wars, Lineage... and a few others I've tried that I cannot even remember.

With that out of the way, I bid many of you farewell till summer of next year. I will be around... -ish- but do not expect anything more than brief contact at best. Deployments suck you in like that.

Mostly everyone knows I have been a big RTS players, but this past year I've barely had time to really keep up with gaming at all. Now 2013 is here and well... This just fuels my desire to get back into RTS and wage myself into the middle of SC II yet again. I know I've introduced more than a few friends to RTS through sc II and mopped the floor with them, but some of them stuck around and have been playing a good year or two now... I wonder if they've caught up to me?

Plus on a side note, all the sci-fi and cyber punk has been really itching at my urge to play shadowrun ESPECIALLY since this year they're releasing shadowrun 5.0 rules in June/July. I hear the 4.5 anniversary addition is pretty amazing as well... It remains to be seen as I am suppose to be the DM... I mean story teller to a WoD campaign soon.

Is something it seems so many lack or is something that is just set in stone which is why when I find something that is innovative in its own way, inspiring, and so on n forth. This past week I stumbled across something I found years ago but never had the opportunity to get into. Now? Heheh... Well I'll give you a bit of insight into it. It's a graphic novel series called 'Mouse Guard' and set in a fantasy styled world that brings the hardships and struggles of mice to perspective. Now I know this concept isn't new, but the classic feel it has and the way it expresses them is original. It reminds me of another series called Redwall written by the ever imaginative Brian Jacques where back at home I've got long shelf of nothing but that series, but his stories are for another time.

I've have always wanted there to be a furry convention in my own home state. We've had stuff like anime conventions all over, but no furry convention! I know this is a ways off... 2013... And it only just turned 2012, BUT! An early start like this is all we need! Now I need all my furiends to sign onto this and try their damnedest to make a showing!

Where you feel the beast coursing inside of you? For the past few months I have been bringing my fitness back up to what it was and even past it. I had been ignoring my jog TIME and been focusing on the distance, you know worked myself up to like 3~4 miles, till about two weeks ago. Then I did sprints for one week then took a week break. This morning I felt like doing a full run and timed it. Holy shit... I brought my average 9 minute mile jog down to about 6~7 minutes with sprints~jog~sprints. A week of rest and the beast? When I pulled out my stop watch to stop it after jogging my mile... 5:27. Now I want to see if I can get it under five minutes. If I keep this up, Airforce boot camp will be a playground. Next thing I need to bring up is my situp speeds... Sure 120 is easy when you have 3~4 minutes... But for maximum bar fitness, I need to whop out an insane 70 in one minute. My top speed so far has been 53 in one minute.

History is fun. Especially when you can really step into it. Honestly though, I don't understand history classes. Up until your advanced college courses, all they gave a shit about is so and so happened on so and so date. Really pa-fucking-thetic. Music has been in my life about five years. It may seem something strange to everyone having grew up with a selection to music, but to me? It is precious. It's an endless sea of pure expression. Hmm, for those of you that have seen my tales in motion or have been in extended roleplays that ran several generations, you should know what is to come... One big story, then a massive lack of updates on it! *cough* Well, thats how it tends to happen...
