SO my friend is taking night classes and I discovered something remarkably stupid. She told me she was working on a project with a vegetable head, and I though HMMMMMM that sounds familiar. I asked her if she was given an ugly gondola picture with a blue tarp on it, and YES...yes she was. Turns out she's being taught the exact same material I was taught in middle school, which was over a decade ago, and they're using a CS2 manual.....wat.

So I email them, all cordial and adultlike RIGHT, to be like UMMM what are you doing, how are you charging money for this, and I get this little gem back:

"For your information, we are not using the textbook you referred to in your email. You are mistaken."

You sassy bastard. I have the syllubus right here in my hand, why are you lying directly to my face.

And I wrote a lot too, and I got that and another couple sassy sentences, and that's it. I won't name the school but let me tell you, everyone knows who they are.

This is the most ridiculous shit I've seen in years, just wat.

SO I'm mad about it and now it's on the internet, we'll see what he says after I send them their own syllubus back with the textbook highlighted in neon.

Heeeeeeey, I disappeared for kind of a long time o~o Doesn't feel like a long time, but just so everyone knows what's up. It's kind of a long story, but not a bad one.

So I was at my buddy's place around the fourth of July and I got an email at midnight from BLT Communications. I was like uhhh, prolly fake, but okay, I'll treat it like it's real. So I answer and say I'm interested in the offer. I got a call at my job makin' t-shirts. Not like sewing the shirt...just like...screenprinting designs lol So I was doing that for Bluemoose and I got a call from the Creative Director for the Disney section at BLT Communications. We talk and stuff and I agreed to an internship in Cali instead of the job right off just to get a feel for it. (Not to mention I was still not 100% certain it was real) So I agree that I'll be out there in five days. And I was in Texas. I'm smurty pants.

SO I pack a bag and my cat and drove out to stay in my empty grandparents house. *coughcough*not like two people died there, I'm fine I'm totally not scared* So I inflate my blowup bed and then nearly throw up every meal with anxiety waiting to start this internship.

Okay So BLT Communications is the company for marketing and posters. Like.....they do pretty much all of it. Dreamworks stunts, McDonalds stunt ideas, billboards, posters, movie trailers, DVD covers etc. I personally work on Netflix stuff, like the trailers and such, and Disney posters and After Effects motion stuff for Marvel things etc. So it's super fun, it's a job, and it's in Hollywood. So for those that don't know, Hollywood be expensive. Like, $1200 a month minimum. That's not including parking. And at that point I had been commuting about an hour and a half to get to work, and it's not uncommon to leave work at around 8pm. No bueno. Los Angles is Spanish for too many humans. Didn't ya know?

Sooooooo, my parents decided they would invest in real estate in Cali and help me out. So we went hunting for a house. LOL.....just...lol. Houses are like a million dollars. So no. So we found a Condo and they bought that, with two rooms for roomates. So here we are, present, and I'm living in the condo, begging friends to be my roommate in Cali lol So I ripped out the carpet, painted all my furniture and the walls, build a table, we put in doors and changed out lights and fixed stuff. (Oh....I also had to figure out movers and stuff for my bed and things over Christmas break. Totally not stressful at all. Nope.)

It's been busy, but fun. But sadly, very little time for anything that could be called Illustration. I mean, work stuff is heavy NDA to the point I'm not even allowed to point at something and say I worked on it, and even if I did, it's a group effort y'know? Gotta give credit where it's due. So until I'm settled, I'll be MIA, and that's the story. I wonder if anyone made it this far haha

Whelp, my cat is happy, and I have my black and white and red kitchen and some fun industrial style thanks to my Dad and my family's old furniture. I'm really fortunate my parents could help me out, cause I know exactly where I'd be if they couldn't. (With two great gals in a 40 sq ft room and three huskies) So things are looking good, despite the fact I'm kinda alone out here, but I have a lot of people looking out for me and I'm happy ~ Who knew I'd end up in California PSH I had to learn the way of the parking meter.

Hey guys! Updated my logo/bought my company name as Inbound studios! Yay! The site now has updated prices and info. Not every example is as recent as I want it to be, but the work I've been doing recently can't be shown to the public, so isn't that just the pits.

You know when you're about to send an email or a text and you're so nervous about what the other person is going to say you almost throw up?

I just sent an ex-friend (is that a thing???) an email asking if we could clear up the awkward. We had a pretty big fight that almost ended in me suing her blah blah blah but I felt weird just leaving it like that. She said some pretty mean things about my family, which I won't forgive her for, but I feel like the whole ordeal is stupid, and it happened a year ago.

I see her sometimes and we just ignore each other like we're strangers, and it feels super weird. IDK I hope I didn't make a mistake asking if she wanted to just forget it. I feel like crying or throwing up and it's kind of stupid.

It's not stuck in that shape by any means and the vet saw him do it and thought it was adorable, so he's not injured or anything. Prices for large paintings vary largely on species, background, color, and character. A rough overall estimate could be anywhere from $150 to $600. It's usually +$100-$150 for each additional character.
