Now onto the reason most of y'all are here...

This year, each Kinktober picture will be $25 USD ($35 for 2 Characters). These are meant to be fun, fast, and cheap. There will be NO approval sketch, as these are meant to be posted daily. You're encouraged to suggest/link a pose, but I may take artistic liberties if necessary.
My wonderful patrons have already taken a whack at the list, but there's plenty of sinful scenarios left! ;D

While I finish off the last of my current queue, I've decided to reevaluate my Commission Information. I will no longer be offering colored sketches-- it's either a B&W sketch or an Inky sketch. I have also bumped up the prices of most commission types that I offer by 5 or 10 dollars, depending.
The most noticeable change will be Painted Commissions, in which I have raised the price a significant amount. The images always come out very lovely, but they take an exceptional amount of time to complete. I've decided to price them accordingly.

Posted 5 years agoWhile Alexxi's death is still an incredibly difficult and painful event to process, I can't just stop creating forever. He wouldn't have wanted that. So, I'll be moving forward in completing owed commissions this month, as well as returning to my various projects and pin-ups that are in the works.

HusBeast and I are currently cuddled up snug as some bugs in a rug... he was ill for a bit and I definitely caught what he had. We don't believe it's THE virus, not that there's available testing for non-celebrities, anyway...
Ahem! Art will continue to be slow as I battle my new fever, although I intend to open commissions within a week or so, illness permitting.
Please stay safe out (IN!) there. Look out for your loved ones, and those who are sensitive and immunocompromised. Follow the guidelines so that we can all beat this together, and minimize the damage.
Like many others, HusBeast has been laid off until things get better. If you'd like to drop a few dollars to help support us while we wait for unemployment to go through, we'd be eternally grateful.
Thank you all for your endless support and patience. It truly means the world to me, especially in such uncertain times as these.

No stream today, unfortunately! I’m currently on a train to visit my mother and have dinner with the family. I’m getting free lobster, so this is one of those rare moments I’m not complaining, haha!
Work will resume Monday, when I return, and then it’ll be GO GO GO time!
I’d like to apologize for how slow I’ve been with art this month, and getting back into the swing of things. This time of year seems to hit a lot of folks, and I’m not exception.
I was intending on having a February Wing It sale to gather up funds for Texas Furry Fiesta, but those plans have fallen through. I may have a sale closer to BLFC, around April! We’ll see how it goes.

What To Expect In 2020!

2019 has been... a lot. I quit my job of 6 years, found another job that only lasted 3 months because of an abusive work environment and have been working freelance ever since! Went to my first furry convention in January (FC), and took HusBeast to HIS first in May (BLFC) right after he got a HUGE promotion! Things haven't always been sunshine and rainbows, but as of right now I can confidently say that things are AWESOME! Like, really amazing!!!
Y'all are to thank for that! With your commissions, wonderful comments, and Patreon support, you're helping to make my dream a reality. I know I tend to gush to you guys often, but I really do appreciate you! <3
So, what can we expect in the new year?
January Commissions will be started the 6th, although I will be accepting orders as soon as the 1st. I need that week that was eaten up by the Christmas monster in order to finish December's work!
Now, I have to get back to tidying up, as I have a guest coming over to help ring in the new year. <3

Scheduled Streams!That's right! I've noticed other artists broadcast fairly regularly, and while I love streaming I've never had a set schedule for it until now! Starting January 4th, streams will be every Saturday! This will hopefully open up the possibility of In Stream/PWYW commissions, as well.Pin UpsAs I mentioned before, these will no longer be done on a monthly basis. Instead, OC interaction and audience participation will be offered in other ways (see next paragraph). Instead, I will be completing the pin-ups at my own pace, and once the image is finished, the poll will re-open for the next vote. This also frees me up for more holiday themed images, as it never felt right to post something for the holidays when the monthlies were still in my queue. ^^;Ask My OCs!This will be open to my patrons first, with about 4 drawn answers a month. If I don't get the required amount of suitable asks, the prompt will then be open it up to the public! :D Y'all seem to like my OCs, and I want to be able to share more about them with you! They each have their own unique personalities that I think would make for entertaining answers. ^^Prices!No worries! The commission prices aren't being changed anytime soon, other than the Reference Sheets. They had actually changed early October 2019, I just forgot to make an official announcement! ^^; So here it is! Sketch Ref Sheets are now $85, and Inked Ref Sheets start at $150.UNTITLED PRINCESS BLU CLASSIFIED PROJECT...okay I know this is a 'what to expect journal' but trust me when I say the less I talk about this, the more inclined I will be to complete it. Posted 5 years agoJust to let everyone know, I'll be out of town and away from my set up for all of December 24th & 25th, which means I won't be able to work on art!
Work will resume on December 27th. ^_^ (The 26th is HusBeast's only day of rest, so I'll be snuggling up with him and enjoying a Hot Toddy or two~)
After that, it'll be major crunch time for me. <3 I'm actually looking forward to seeing if I can beat the New Years Eve deadline for everything I want to get done.
I have some big projects in the works for next year that I'm super excited about... I'll also be making a point to explore my OCs a bit more publically for y'all to enjoy. <3

December Commissions! [CLOSED!]
Posted 5 years agoHello all! Sorry this is being put up a bit late, things have been pretty rough in the House of Blu. Nothing to be too worried about, just makes me a bit slow to get to things. <3
I've decided to continue doing Pin-Up Votes, however they will no longer be "Monthly". I still owe you lovely folks 2 as of right now, which I expect to finish before the end of this year. Afterward, I will simply have a new vote whenever I finish the previous image, rather than give myself a hard deadline. ^^ It'll give me more time to make them extra awesome, and the lack of self-induced pressure means they'll probably come out faster.
I'm excited for the new year, as I have a lot of projects that have been simmering that I'd like to put into motion... we'll see where the future leads us.
I'll also be taking a look at my commission prices. I don't expect much of a change, although I may modify the examples and what I offer to be a bit more streamlined. Bust vs Fullbody doesn't really make a lot of sense, and it can feel a bit stifling when working on a composition. We'll see! ^^

And I couldn't have done it without all you wonderful people who participated, and those who cheered me on. I also gained a TON of new Watchers during October-- HI LOVELY NEW PEOPLE! If you enjoyed my Kinktober series, stick around. Pin-ups, muscular/curvy ladies and character driven work is mainly what I'm about. <3
As expected after such a gauntlet, I'll be taking a week to rest my wrist (mostly it's my thumb that's sore. I don't get it, either). I also have a best friend flying in on Monday, as we had to push back his visit in order for me to finish the last week of kinktober. <3 I'll be enjoying pure LA food hedonism, cartoons, and horror movies, although I'm sure I'll still glance at social media and check my messages.

I've also considered changing how monthly pin-ups are done, as I tend to fall behind due to how much extra work they take while making sure my commissions get done in a timely manner. There are 2 that I still owe y'all, and I am adamant of finishing them soon! (Because of this, I'm sorry to say there won't be a new vote this month.)
I was thinking of having something like a monthly OC Q&As with drawn answers instead, since so many people seem curious about my characters! I'd love to share more about them, possibly even do some comic work, but that means my painted pin-ups would have to become far less frequent.
Let me know what you folks would like to see more of! I've got plans of my own, but I also love audience participation and hearing your thoughts. ^.^

I was thinking of having something like a monthly OC Q&As with drawn answers instead, since so many people seem curious about my characters! I'd love to share more about them, possibly even do some comic work, but that means my painted pin-ups would have to become far less frequent.

That being said, I've already sent out invoices to everyone who filled out a Form.
If you have not received an invoice, it is because you haven't filled out my Kinktober form, or I'm waiting on an updated submission with the proper information.
Normal commissions will remain closed as I finish up September's queue, and play catch up on monthly pin-ups. They are incredibly beautiful pieces, but they take a lot of work and are difficult to focus on knowing I have clients waiting on art. ^^;
I'm hoping to do a Halloween themed pin-up, but only if I made a sizeable dent in my backlog.

My new parrotlet is doing well in case you were wondering. It's slow goings, but I knew what I was getting into when I picked a neglected animal. His name is DeVito! <3 We just call him Vito, though. <3 He's mama's lil' toughguy.
I'm still playing a bit of catch-up this week, but I expect to get one of the owed pin-ups out! When it comes to art, my clients are my top priority and often the monthlys get put on the back burner because of it. I've been lucky enough to have a full queue every month, which is thanks to all of you wonderful people! Unfortunately, that means some projects have to be put aside from time to time. I hope that explains things. <3

Posted 6 years agoHey all! I know I've been a little quiet/inactive here, and that's due to my helping my mother move. I was kidnapped and away from my art set up for literal days, and I've just gotten back home and settled in.

I've been shopping around for about a month and a half, and while my mother and I were out we stopped by a bird store that had a "problem child" of a parrotlet. His previous owners didn't give him the love and attention he needed, so he's a bit flighty. He's 2 years old already, so it's not the "baby" I wanted, but neither was my last one.
I guess I'm a sucker for older, damaged birds that nobody wants ^^;;; Ehehehe.
He doesn't have a name yet, as I haven't gotten to see his personality beyond "I'm scared holy shit it's so noisy in here aaaaa". He's going to take A LOT of work to rehabilitate, but I think he's the perfect pet for me. <3

June's Pin-Up picture is going to be late. It was a choice between finishing commissions, and doing the Monthly on time-- which is an easy decision. I'm still playing catch up on some things, but Makea WILL be given the attention she deserves. ;DI'll be waiting a week to post July's Vote, just to give me a little more time.
