Just checking in to keep y’all informed that I have in fact chosen the slots for this round!
Oddly enough I actually had to let this seep into round 6!
I will be sending out invoices for rounds 4 + 5 tomorrow morning, however:
I was going to do it tonight but my husband and I had to FILE OUR TAXES lmao
Exhausted rn but back on the horse tomorrow!
For round 6: I will be holding the slots in place, and will individually message everyone picked! I’ll be leaving that as a waiting list for now but trello links will be distributed to everyone who got a slot! :)

Posted 4 years agoOH HECK! UPDATES! ME!?? TALKING?!?! It's more likely than you'd think..
I'm sorry for essentially being radio silent here for so long between uploads, I'm working on getting better at that! I'm going to be putting together some neat stuff pretty soon, but for the most part, in case it wasn't super obvious I mainly post to Patreon, and then Twitter these days, I also stream as often as I can, mood depending.. but the whole mood thing?? I feel like I'm finally getting on top of that, and it feels kinda heckin' good tbh! I'm on Vyvanse and I've been doing a lot of "self reflection" and I've come to the conclusion that.. well.. I'ts kinda of obvious.. But if I wanna change things, and get better? That's on me.
I've been reaching out and reconnecting with a lot of good pals and I feel like I'm finally on the right path, and honestly, I'm kind of excited to see where things go from here!
And heck, While I'm here, I'm gonna work on making better use of my gallery and post more, but yeah, stuff still gets posted to Patreon first, but there's gonna be a little less paywalling for most things.. the rest I still gotta work on~

I've just been so focused on getting stuff done and sent out I've not had a real chance to be able to dedicate an evening to posting!

PC BROKE, WORKING WITH INK FOR A BIT!
Posted 5 years agoOKAY SO.. MY PC IS CURRENTLY DYING.. Streams keeps crashing, software keeps failing... I'm running on an 8 year old machine with a few frankenstein'd bits and bobs shoved in here and there, it's lasted this long.. But I feel it's on it's last legs. Sadly this means I won't be able to complete any large digital pieces any time soon until I have a replacement. IT'S NOT ALL SAD NEWS THOUGH!
UNTIL I HAVE A NEW PC; I have a significant backlog of traditional pieces to get through, which I've been holding off from completing due to the ease and profitability of digital works.. what can I say, I'm a slut for validation and I'm used to just working on what I feel will give me the best traction online, digital art just FEELS cleaner.. But it's about time I go back to my roots for a little while.
I started out back in 2009 with my first set of copic markers, and honestly, I was smitten, love at first swipe! boy howdy alcohol based markers just FEEL SO FUCKING GOOD TO WORK WITH! I've always been faster when I don't have the luxury of the CTRL+Z command function. It's time I made the most of that *strokes copic collection* "boy how we've grown, buddy!" *smol sob*
ALAS. This sadly means I won't be open for any digital commissions today like I'd hoped, or for the immediate future until I have a hardy replacement for this beat up old box! As soon as I have everything back up and running though, it'll be REGULAR STREAMS, MEMES, GLORIOUS DIGITAL HD PAINTINGS, FRICK!!!! AAAA!!!!
HOWEVER!!!! I am open for traditional pieces to cover replacement costs for a new machine, the form for which is on Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/posts/36363786 along with a few WIPs and scraps of other pieces
I'll be leaving the form up over the weekend, Work from this new list will be done as in-betweens throughout the process of clearing up my Badge Backlog, starting from oldest first.. I know I said no streaming, but if I can McGuyver together some means of working around that, I will! Periscope is one option! we shall see!
I super appreciate your support during these difficult times, I will be doing my best to keep you all informed with progress on both the upgrade, and of course all my wrist wrenching hand drawn artworks!

I'm back to a good point in my life and I feel like I can finally work more thoroughly on both clearing my queue, and taking more commissions in-between (yo, ya boi has bills to pay!)
I'm posting more frequently on patreon, too~! if you'd like to support me there too it would mean the world!
I'll be posting high resolution artworks there before anywhere else, plus the odd sketchdump that won't be uploaded elsewhere!
As for stream, I'll still be posting links to those when they happen both here and on twitter!
for commission openings and updates though, patrons get priority!

IT'S ABOUT TIME that.. I made a Journal addressing where I've been and what's been up! So
FIRSTLY!
I've been VERY SAD
Because this year has been a BIG OL HECKIN PAIN and I've been overexerting myself and giving myself TOO HIGH an expectation for output when in reality I'm living in a bedroom struggling to feign productivity between bouts of self doubt and VAPID dissociation.
I have a very serious problem with that, I work productively in bursts, often better at night. however my living situation right now means that during the day I'm subject to choosing between admin work, self care, or actual art and I'm just REALLY bad at managing my time.
Kai isn't here. I'm in the UK waiting for whatever visa I need to process so I can get home to the US.. I feel like I'm in limbo. I'm sad. I haven't consistently left the house in months except to walk to the post office.
I'm struggling a lot with self worth and anxiety in regards to my artistic output. I'm CRAZY FUCKING BEHIND on commissions... All that said I am actively doing my best to be as productive as I can, and I find that tends to work better at night time but every time I have a productive night I have the inevitable fact that I will be forced into a nocturnal cycle until I break it out of sheer will. but sometimes I like the dark. It makes my creativity flow better. I think better when I'm alone.
My health has been kinda sucky in general. I have a sizable gallstone. I discovered this fact during our excursion to Melbourne after HCFC (which, btw, awesome con, I'd love to go back, Sydney is pretty cool!) and was promptly thrust straight into A&E. They didn't remove my gallbladder in Australia, but instead sent me back to the US with a pocket full of painkillers and enough stress to make me forget that "oh yeah we gotta reenter the US and I've been in the country a pretty heckin long time already..!"
Two hours of being grilled by border patrol later, I got to spend one last week in the US, attended Anthro Weekend Utah.. that was heckin LIT and honestly I needed it. y'all who were there.. you know ;D
finally back to England I go. Here I stay until I know what's up. I'm missing Thanksgiving. I'm missing my Husband.
I'm missing my FREEDOM.
But I'm working on it.
I've got a week before my Surgery on the 22nd November.
After then.. I'll likely be out for the count for a week or so, depending entirely on how smoothly the procedure goes!
This next week will be spent trying to get the last of MFF PreOrders done, as thanks to my wonderful friend muzz I now have an extended window for sending out Traditional Badges before y'all enjoy the last FurFest of the year!
I've gotten my computer repaired somewhat, some doofus bumped the cooling fan clean off the CPU, WHAT A DINGUS, but it's reattached now, winner winner, chicken dinner~
SO MORE STREAMS HECK YEAH!!! OH BOY OH JEEZ I'M HYPE ABOUT THAT~

Speaking of which, We've (Kai and myself that is) made a few changes to the way things are posted and promoted on Patreon, it's still a big work in progress but for early access and High res unwatermarked versions of my artwork, head there, but I'm gonna do my best to not paywall ALL OF MY CONTENT that's kinda garbo, but I guess you get to see sketches and stuff there? Q: WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES I CAN'T FIND THEM ANYWHERE?!!
A: I generally don't keep my prices online when I'm not open for commissions, mainly because I like to hide away whilst i'm working on art I've taken on, I should probably get on top of that at some point but my commissions vary in price, a lot! often price is announced just before I open a batch of commissions of qa single type, I.e: Badges are roughly £25-£40 depending on type

A: TUMBLR is okay, I like seeing my art on there, facebook, IG, Twitter, I suppose it depends on context, but please if you do, make artists name known in credit, if you're unsure, just ask!
Also if you ever see anyone post my art without credit I don't really mind, i guess it's more exposure, just don't claim my work as your own and we're good!

A: I generally don't keep my prices online when I'm not open for commissions, mainly because I like to hide away whilst i'm working on art I've taken on, I should probably get on top of that at some point but my commissions vary in price, a lot! often price is announced just before I open a batch of commissions of qa single type, I.e: Badges are roughly £25-£40 depending on type

Posted 10 years agoHAHA. Yeah.. I may or may not or definitely may have forgotten to post a journal saying that I AM OUT OF HOSPITAL! I have been for a fair few weeks now, whoops!
My point still stands on any commissions I may owe, literally just kick me until I reply, it's all good!
But seeing as I've more or less finished... nearly all of my overdue work, It's just a case of getting myself into the right frame of mind to do commissions. it's taken a while to get this far! at the moment I'm pretty much only open through tiiiiny little windows, trying to get back into the groove again, but I'm almost there!
If you follow me on Twitter, any commission openings and streams I do tend to be up on there primarily! Also sporadically!
Shout out to all of my friends for helping me through this difficult time! You're all amazing and I don't know where I'd be without you all!

TL;DR I'm in gay baby jail because the Karma Police finally caught up to me and now I'm paying for it. Fret not! If you have a commission from me pending, I'll still do it, but at the moment I'm in recovery after essentially whatever metaphors you can pull from my bullshit poetry. Self deprecating humour isn't a sign of weakness in this case though.
You keep me sane in my darkest days and that's all anyone ever needed.

So yes I've had a little play around with this new PC and I'm really liking the new setup, streams are now much smoother, faster, better definition. I have dual monitor display so I can basically dedicate my cintiq to JUST ART and none of the background faff I have to do around streaming, it's just really REALLY FUCKING NICE <3
Tomorrow I'm going to begin hacking away at the remainder of my queue, along with the ones I took on to get me back on my feet~ it's been intense but yeah NOW IS THE TIME! Okay Monday is... yes!
I'll be streaming tomorrow night too, hopefully! got loads to finish off!
