So tl;dr doing art fight doodles made me miss doing colored sketch commissions but I had to discontinue them a long time ago because people were being shitty to me over them. But!! I got an idea! :D

I am going to offer colored sketches, at a heavy discount from my full price fullbodies, in very limited, selective slots. If there's a certain type of design I'm really in the mood to draw, I'll throw up a form and have people submit their commission ideas to me and I'll pick out a few that I like.

Please be aware only my colored sketch commissions will work like this; everyone is welcome to submit whatever design they'd like to me for a full priced commission whenever they'd like and I'll 9/10 times accept it! I'm doing my colored sketches this way because the initial idea for them back when I still did them was for me to get practice with other types of characters, and people beat me down into turning them into cheap labor and being entitled about it. But this way I can have control over them again and be able to offer them once more!

I am going to do my first round this week, because tbh I could use the extra funds for my trip, and depending on how well it goes we'll see if I ever do it again! This form will close on July 21st and I'll send out invoices on July 22nd! I will be picking at max three depending on how many submissions I get!

I managed to scrape together the 300$ I needed to get my teeth fixed. Thank you all so much!

I really hate to beg like this I really don't like doing it but tldr my situation has turned really dire and I'm not sure what else to do besides beg for commissions and Etsy sales.

The whole story is that I really need dental work. I'm dirt poor and have a lot of issues with my teeth, I've been having to go to a charity dentist in my city but they're so garbage they haven't been taking care of my work properly. I have this one cavity in the very back of my mouth that fell out last night, while I was regularly brushing my teeth, for the fourth time. These charity dentist people have filled this same cavity three times and I'm sick of going back to them because at this point I really don't think it's my fault this filling won't stick - I need to go to a real dentist but I need about 300$ to get my tooth taken care of. It hurts even to drink water because the cavity has turned into a gaping fucking hole because of how many times I've had to go back to the same shit dentists to fill this one single cavity. I haven't tried eating with it yet but I suspect I can't because of how much pain even water puts on it.

Again, I hate begging, I feel like it's really low of me to have to beg like this but I am legitimately on my hands and fucking knees I've been dealing with this same problem for like a year I can't take it anymore.

If you could consider a commission or even just buying one of my dumb stuff on Etsy it would really really help. Again I only need 300$

Streaming commissions!

So after trying to upload my first recorded stream today I've been having to jump through hoops to find a platform that won't block it due to either length or me watching things while I work. The only way I think to privately stream to Patreon is through a pretty expensive service or through Youtube which...blocked me when I tried to upload my archive there :/

Instead I'll be posting stream archives to Patreon and drawing merch on my regular twitch streams!

So since I've been enjoying streaming commissions recently I thought of adding it as a Patreon reward!

But I'd like to reach a decent subscriber base before I start offering this, as it would feel a little goofy to do streams exclusively for like. 2 people and one might not even show up. Patreon streams would be drawings of merch art, personal art, and patron rewards.

I plan to include this reward even at the 1$ tier!! So :) if you all would like to help me reach this goal so I can feel like this would be a worthwhile effort. Motions.

Additionally though I know it's not, super responsible of me to want to take on new commissions while I still have a pretty long queue I've been struggling with money. Having to replace a lot of things, got a new more expensive therapist, and my merch/con sales kinda go out the door pretty fast with bills and whatnot. I'm considering sort of doing a soft open? I'd be very selective on what commissions I would take on, and the customer would have to be okay with an extended wait time of probably like 3 months.

Paying for express shipping pays off I guess LMAO the new cable is here and commissions will be worked on as normal! Sorry for all the panic for this situation to be resolved in like a week, I'm genuinely shocked it got here so fast I'm used to things I order from international eBay taking like two months to even arrive to the US.

Alright so my tablet fiasco has, convinced me I do need to raise my prices bc I should not have my entire livelihood taken from me because of one device breaking and being unable to afford a replacement.

So, whenever my commissions reopen again (unsure when that will be, still!) these will be my new prices:

I again would like honest feedback about these changes. I have this paranoia that people only buy my commisisons bc I’m “affordable” compared to other artists and it scares me off from ever pricing my commissions in a way that I would like to.

Okay so update; Good and bad news.
Good news, my roommate is letting me use her iPad for the time being and I got it working with duet display.
Bad news; it's - a little wonky, and since it's an ipad it has a battery life. I don't know if I'll be able to get as much done in a day if i have to fight with that.
My cable should be here by May and I hope to god it actually works but for now I'll use this to get some work done.

So. Absolutely nightmare disaster scenario just happened. I don’t know what happened, my tablet slipped off my desk and I think the cables broke. I have a really old model cintiq and Wacom doesn’t produce the cables for it anymore, the only place I could find to get a replacement cable was from eBay from overseas sellers.

I bought the cable, I don’t know how long it will take to come in even though I paid for express shipping. I really don’t know what to do. I’m having a major meltdown because I cannot work at all until this cable gets here. Please be patient with me I will try to get on track as soon as I possibly can.

My commissions aren’t re-open yet and probably won’t be for a while yet but I am, contemplating raising my prices when they do open again.

My current prices are based on when I pumped out commissions like getting something fully lined, colored, and shaded in one day and I can’t do that anymore bc I almost destroyed my wrist doing that and also felt like rushing myself made me produce less quality work.

I got a lot of comments at TFF and from my friends that my prices are really low, and I never thought about it but when money goes in and out so quickly at my current rates and I can’t take on new slots to keep up with it ,,, wails .,,

Anyway sob story aside. I need you all to be brutally honest with me because I am absolutely looking for feedback before pushing such a drastic change: I am thinking of raising the price of a fullbody piece to 100$ and restructuring my smaller piece prices based on that. This does mean costs of things like ref sheets and couple art will jump to 200$

This is a very high price, I understand, and honestly a lot of me thinks my art isn’t worth that much money but idk 50$ isn’t working for me anymore with how many expenses I have now.

Please give me your feedback on if you would still be interested in buying art from me if I raised my fullbody prices to 100$ , if I get negative responses I’ll come up with a more reasonable price. Please be honest !!!

I've decided I'm going to make the full digital images of all of my Pokemon stickers from this point forward Patreon exclusives! The only thing I'll be posting to FA is the product photos I take for my Etsy listings. I've gotten a lot more done since the last ones I posted which I think was either venusaur or the eevees, I just kinda felt like the Pokemon designs were overtaking my gallery and it's also a hassle to put together the group graphics on top of the product images SO yea here is my compromise with meself

This time around I've decided to do a merch-centric focus as the point of appeal! I am offering a sticker of the month club, and the ability to get montly custom stickers! As well as more general things like access to some art early and commission discounts.

I will also be letting patreon subscribers vote on what kind of merch I make next, and make requests to specific topics or fandoms they'd like to see in my merch!

I’m thinking about Patreon again since uhh, one source of consistent paycheck sounds nice.

I’ve tried to start up a Patreon a few times in the past but I’ve never really like, figured out what to post to it? I tried to do exclusive personal art but I don’t do enough personal art for that to be viable, I tried speed paints but they were a pain to record and edit, and I tried to do like step by step shots of my pieces but I thought that was kind of boring.

So I guess turning it over to the people who might actually subscribe to me if I tried again; what would you be interested in seeing me do on that kind of platform ?

The only idea I have right now is like a sticker club thing but I’m not sure how popular that would be.

I’ve made a lot of commission sales at TFF just the first day alone and expect the trend to continue :’D
