i recently obtained 2 chinchillas and I need to do a bunch of sewing for their cage liners. It's a race to finish them before they totally soil their current bedding ;w; so I'm going to be focusing on those for the next few days! It shouldn't take longer than that! Sorry about this!

HEY GUYS! Lots of stuff has been going on for me!! I'm sooo sorry about how slow i'm being about icons, i know I always say that haha. But i have some photos for you guys!

The first thing that happened was that I got a new friend! I was in a very low online friend pool for a while, but suddenly i got introduced to this one dude on skype and we played league together and we literally havent stopped talking to each other for ...exactly a month today. xD Snapchat, skype, league every second. I TRY TO BE RESPONSIBLE AND WORK ON ICONS WHILE HES AT WORK, THOUGH. I never worked so well with someone duo bot on league before♥ i love supporting him xD

But then other things pop up. Like my sister's car crapping out on her so I need to give her rides to cities an hour away for class and to work, and to the car place to buy a "new" car @w@. She got a white Scion xB! its pretty nice <:

I have always wanted a pixie cut, but i was afraid of how it would look on my face shape, but my sister got one even shorter than what i have right now, so i was like WHATEVER LETS DO THIS. And the Hair person said I have a mix of an oval and round face shape, so most hair styles will look good on me, which is good to know! I have some weird little girl crush on the person who cut my hair last. She was a very petite little blonde woman in her 20s with blonde hair that was in tight little girls and was so cute like a doll uvu.

NOW LETS TALK ABOUT FURRY AMINALS. My brother and I have a birthday 11 days apart, he was turning 9 so i decided to get him and me some hamsters. I'd pretend that it was my late bday present to myself, then open the animal box and be like " UH OH.. THEY MESSED UP. THEY GAVE ME TWO!" and one was gunna be his and one was mine xD. But despite everything i read on google, the sign for the robo hamsters at Petsmart said that they weren't meant to house together. My sister pointed out gerbils, that said they could live together, and I was like w/e these are cute too and they look like little squirrels. I did check teh animal shelter for hamsters before going to petsmart, but they didn't have any!

BUUUT since it was the first time buying an animal that wasn't a fish all by myself.. i forgot the check the gender myself and took their word for it when they said they were both girls. TURNS OUT FAE WAS A BOY. So then i was stressing about Pumpkin possibly being preggo, having to decide which one to return, needing to find another pet store that sells MALES adsfjdslfhsdk. We decided to return Pumpkin. I was attached to both of them within a day, but Fae was more relaxed and calm, plus he couldn't be preggo haha. So I returned pumpkin to the female only petsmart, and went to another petsmart that carried males and i got STORM!:http://puu.sh/hSQOb/f7e2015bbc.jpg

Strom is a little fatty. I'm hoping to get his weight in check. I currently have the 20 gallon long tank split in half and it seems to be working fine! When i watch they be together they haven't fought yet! I actually saw Storm grooming Fae a bit <: I love Storm's colors ♥

By the way, from my experience so far with the gerbils, i bought everything you'd assume they'd want. Running wheel, exercise wheel, chew treats, food dish, a litter box, but since i rapidly went from being prepared for robo hamsters, and ended up getting gerbils, all that stuff i listed was not even touched xD. I luckily had the packaging still for the exercise balls, but everything else is just sitting there waiting for the day i get a hamster. haha. All my gerbils need is a tank, bedding, water bottle, bedding, food, and i threw in some PVC pipes to tunnel in. They love toilet paper rolls, and chewed all my cockatiel's untouched toys to non-existence! I hope storm and fae will be sleeping all cute and cuddly together like him and pumpkin did♥

I have stopped by the female petsmart several times while dealing with the gerbil mix-up, and no one had adopting any of the remaining gerbils withink the 10 or so days that i have had mine. My sister says she wants to go back and re-purchase Pumpkin and one of the other females once she gets her next paycheck!! Which is awesome. x3 I just hope she doesn't end up with 2 preggo gerbils that Fae knocked up while everyone thought he was a girl LOL. I want to tell her to wait for the 24ish days that it takes gerbils to have a litter, but I don't want some kid to snatch her up and make her live in one of those tiny colorful wire-bottom cheap hamster houses forever ;-;...

BUT YEAH ANYWAYS, since this is all over with i'm going to work hard and get them icons done!! haha

My life has gotten very busy, very quickly. I have babysitting 3 nights a week, studying for ASVAB (I got a 68 on my practice ASVAB yeyeeee) , researching and mentally preparing myself for joining the NAVY, Setting up direct deposit for a company I work for as an attendant for an autistic child, figuring out what careers I want to try for in the Navy, helping my sister go places since her car is busted, Going to the gym so i don't die in basic, and whatever basic responsibilities I have MY FREE TIME IS DYIIIIIING.

I'm so excited for the Navy tho omg. I have been stuck at home since 2011 doing nothin but babysitting and commissions for money, waiting for my dad to get his tax info for financial aid ( 5 years later...nada) I am MORE THAN READY TO GO OUT AND DO SOMETHING. I'm so excited. I want to travel the world, I want to go through boot camp, I want to finally be independent.

My sister, her boyfriend, and I are all joining at the same time. Maybe once i'm in boot camp I can send out my Boot camp address so you guys can send me letters xD

I have been spending the past week and a half moving my grandmas hoarding booty from her apartment into our house, now our house is full of her stuff that needs sorta out and put away and I got some personal stuff going on now AND I'm sick and my head feels like pudding ~w~ That might be my fault though because I wasn't eating or drinking much the past 2 weeks ( I don't eat much when i'm out of the house) and then my house ran out of heating oil so i woke up freezing, so i set myself up to get a cold ;3; My but kitty let me hold her like a stuffed animal all night so that was nice and fuzzywarmwarm♥

I also didn't get called back about that one job, and i didnt call them because its simply so far away and i'd have to drive home in rush hour every day. Which is good I didn't take it because my cars engine light started blinking which means i couldn't drive it without breaking it more, but then we got it fixed, but now its back on, but not blinking, friggin mechanics yo...

I'm almost done being an inactive butt!!

Looks Like i'm going to have to open commissions a bit earlier than planned. I didn't get to drawing the free headshot/chibis and such that i promised you guys, if you remember. I needed those for commission examples, but I WILL get to them, I promise! I just need to open commissions earlier than expected uwu.

My family is planning on moving out of this shit hole we have been living in for the past 14 years or so. The landlord does nothing and something is CONSTANTLY broken. He just half asses it when he fixes it too. This house would probably be condemned if we called an inspector. We had enough and are finally moving out, but my family needs my help to pay for the expenses!

Also a few moments ago my oldest cat came in with a nasty looking leg. It looks like road rash and its very swollen. He is still using his leg so that is good, but That is another fee coming out of my pocket. This one will cost me hundreds of dollars at the vet.

So between the moving and the vet bills i'm going to open my commissions! Note that I DID raise my prices quit significantly compared to the past. Please respect my decisions.

Why are these so expensive all of a sudden?
While expanding my art to other websites I realized that deviant art is usually very cheaply priced compared to other websites. I see so many people selling themselves short and I find people on here complaining about stuff that is over $10 and when I spend 10 HOURS on 1 drawing, $10 is not going to cut it. This is my only job besides babysitting and I'm not going to waste my time for $1 or less an hour. If you can't afford the luxury of art, I'm sorry. I'm making my prices more fair for me and my time. These prices are roughly MINIMUM WAGE for the hours I put in.

Pft I bet you are just going to jack them up even higher soon...
I'm a bit nervous about having them this high in the first place. I have been struggling with feeling like i'm selling myself very short for years now. I honestly wouldn't even have them this high if people didn't actually buy my stuff for these prices in the past via auctions and such. These prices aren't targeted for people of deviantart, they are more for the people outside of deviantart who pay closer to min wage for art. I do not plan on making them any higher any time soon. The only price I may change is the full background price as I improve in that area.
