Why this image was chosen -
The picture greatly emphasized the chilled out dominance of the Dragon, who is only focused on getting its meal down in once piece, while the prey is enjoying the experience based on the expression. It would suggest the prey was willing.
The amount of drool the Dragon is producing suggests that it is quite hungry and will certainly have an excellent slurping of it's lips once the prey has been swallowed. The Dragon also seems to have eaten a previous prey, sine its stomach has a nice bulge to it. One can only image how much more it will be extended with the entering of this new meal.
The picture itself is exceptionally drawn, a nice darkness to it based on the Dragon's dark body, the shading really brings out the shape and lines of the neck, one which many a prey has certainly descended before. Following the neck down we see the casual relaxation the Dragon seems to hold, the crossed paws are a wonderful feature to the piece, displaying the huge claws that Dragon chose not to use on its prey, including the delightfully large and certainly deadly sharp teeth in its jaws. The Dragon has the means to harm and destroy, but in this instance granted mercy to its meal, perhaps because of the willingness. The fox itself has claws of it's own which it has no intention to use for defenses, meaning the fox is enjoying its journey and is looking forward to a nice warm place to nap.

The image will receive a comment and link to the journal review.
Every end of the month, DAFF will to the best of its ability (based on the schedule of the admins) make a summary journal review of the pics for the month's selections.

Now available, is the DAFF Premium Selections Gallery and DAFF Display Case, where artists, writers and creators may submit their DAFF work to be posted.
All work will undergo a review and selection process.

ALL submissions are welcome. To enter your piece, or nominate one for review; please send a Note.

I have turned the group over to an eager little human that I caught during a recent village raid and told him he could run my group in exchange for me not eating him... for now. But he will certainly end up in my belly at some point
I leave it up to him to add anything to this announcement from here, what he plans to do, how often etc... so welcome back friends!

During the middle of the month there was the downtime when a DDOS attack had shut down the site for a few days. There were some really good pictures that were posted and a good number of them were from artists that usually don't do much vore. I've been changing the way the roundups are being done so that it is easier to see the names of the artists involved in doing the pictures that I've been listing. Once again limited time online has left me doing mostly shout features for the group but at least you are seeing new notes consistently. Just like in previous journals we now show you all of the shout highlighted works from the beginning of the month to the end. Why this image was chosen - This image has been inducted into the group's hall of fame because of the wonderful perspective that dreiko has come up with. Its pretty good when you see detailed maw shots , better when you see prey in those maw shots and then you have this. The image tells a story all by itself, it makes me think of a D&D situation where an adventurer has run afoul of a very large dragon. The tiger soldier is hanging on after a last ditch attempt to avoid going down into that fleshy tunnel below him... does he use the sword? does he try to climb out somehow? I really like this artwork, it doesn't need to be any more detailed than it is and the color has been applied quite well. The saliva, the huge teeth and the tongue is attractive and I like the way that the soldier jammed the staff into the dragon's mouth.
This is a very nice picture dreiko, thanks for posting it and the perspective work is sweet!

Why this image was chosen - This image is quite easy on the eyes not just because its well done but the colors are dark and so is the background. The first things that strike me about this image would be that its feet, ( or back end ) first, then there's the long thick meaty looking tongue. In this kind of digital media the shape of it turned out to be quite attractive and so are the multi colored details in the surfaces. The mouth looks really big, the teeth have some neat looking detail work and coloring to give them more depth. The prey is sufficiently worried looking and i Like the way one arm seems to be pawing ( or clawing ) at the back of the tongue. The detailing work in the scales is impressive and I love the casual look in the predator's eye that makes it look like they've done this many times before. The extra detailing on the chin, neck and corners of the mouth added to the overall strength of the work has me faving this into the group's hall of fame collection.
This is a good image Anrax, and congrats on the D.A.F.F. feature.

Why this image was chosen - Yep, this one's a hall of fame selection. The main reason why it was chosen as such is because of the position of the prey and the cavernous looking draggy maw that he's playing in. When I first saw this image I thought that if I could survive such a vorish encounter that before I went down I think I'd give that tongue some good grinding! Foshu made a good response to this image when they said - " Glancing over, that mouf and pose would do awesome on a vorish porn mag cover" I agree! This picture is a good example of good vore artwork that doesn't need a ton of detail, its just very good on its own merits. Sammy's dragon character has a unique look thats easy to spot and in this picture its almost like a maw shot/vore combo. The teeth are sufficiently big and bitey looking, the tongue is long fleshy and stimulating while an interesting extra touch is the satisfied looking closed eye on the dragon's face. If you want to look at an artist who does good vore without going overboard on detail then Sammy's a good one to study. A final note on this pic, Sammy didn't take out the concept lines and has left them in, a good insight into how they start new art.
Congrats Sammy73, thats a pretty good looking scene with a clever twist on an old saying.

Why this image was chosen - 3 D pictures often don't look as good as the one featured in today's selection but this ones a beauty and here's why I've put it in the group's hall of fame. To begin with the whole picture is pretty decent to begin with, the predator's size difference to the prey works quite well in this scene and is believable. However, when I look at the head, the neck details and the prey character in this scene here is where this image shines mostly for me. The way the prey is positioned in this scene makes me feel that this is a willing scene, not to mention Akaikosh's reply to the upload which reads - " om nom nom into your belly I go (Again) " The best part of the prey's behavior is that while he's going down you can see that the left hand is rubbing under the predator's chin. It makes me think that he's trying to rub it in an attempt to feel any swallowing motions that might further stimulate his enjoyment while being eaten. Then we see the neck bulge which for me is the highlight of the image, its so amazing and nicely done, the neck as a whole is attractive, strong and has a stumpy muscular look to it. The textures work, so do the smaller lumps and shapes that you can make out in the larger bulge as a whole, I really enjoyed seeing this picture and it wasn't hard to put it into the hall of fame.
Congrats to you PWRof3D for the feature and selection into the group's hall of fame, its a very nice image!

Why this image was chosen - This image deserves a feature! The sculpture and the picture is so unique that it deserves a spot in the group's hall of fame as well. The artist who created this statue also deserves mention and a description of them can be found here.

This image was taken by Amenophis with the sun positioned in the eye socket so that it looks like the sculpture's eye is shining... I like it when I see photographers do things like this. Having the mountain behind the image like it is with the levels of differing color shades adds additional surrealism that I like. The way this picture was taken made me think of it at first as being a piece of impressionist modern art or even a Photoshopped image but its not. If I had been there and was able to climb around on it I would have climbed up to the mouth. Then with a photographer in the same place as this image I would have positioned myself so it looked like it was eating me. Then I would have positioned myself deeper in it's mouth for a couple more shots before going to the stomach and getting more photos that made it look like I fell into it. It would have made quite the interesting series of vore pictures.
A very good photo Amenophis and it has earned a spot in our group's hall of fame collection.

Why this image was chosen - This is one of those pictures that looked good from the second that I saw it and with this upload you get the added bonus of a short story. One gets he impression that this could possibly be a consensual scene or at the least minimal resistance from the prey. Even if they didn't really want to get eaten the prey may have found the experience enjoyable once it started to happen. Whatever the storyline or the circumstances might be I really like how the dragon's mouth has been drawn. The way the pred's tongue has draped up and over the Rodent's arm implies that the predator is hinting at the prey that they will enjoy the rest of the trip down. Masturbating on a large, wet flexing tongue while being eaten has probably crossed most vorephile minds when they see a picture like this or imagine themselves in the place of the prey. The partially hidden lump in the dragon's neck is a nice imagination fueling hint at how big that neck bulge might actually be. I like the dragon's eye, the positioning of the prey and the way they look almost surprised that they are enjoying being eaten alive. The way the story has been written has pretty well described how I would feel in Roger's place and because the coloring, the characters look good, attractive and a good short story has been added this piece i being added to the group's hall of fame.

Why this image was chosen - Apoptosis has done it again but this time they deliver with a collection of many vore scenes instead of the standard single scene image. The artist make the following interesting post in the image's description header - " I love how the requests all ended up in an image where the smaller prey is eaten at the same time as if the camera holder said "ok go! eat now!" What we get in this image is what looks like a whole collection of predators who have gathered to have a big swallowing contest. The artist did this a means to fund future travels and that all the characters involved are members of the forum voraffinity.de. Just like in the past Apoptosis has rendered quite a number of hungry well drawn/colored preds and prey in this collection. The amazing thing about this image is that almost all of these are feet/butt end first swallowings, most artists would probably have done mostly headfirst with the occasional feet first thrown in. However, because the artist has done the reverse it gets a big plus from this reviewer and the fact that other species have been sprinkled in adds to the viewer's interest in looking at everything. I think my personal favorite is the kilt wearing wolf in the lower left, mention should also go to the green dragon on the far right center and the black dragon seen from behind in the upper center.
This is a really good piece of work, it is a pleasure to make it our first feature and first hall of fame selection for 2014, congrats Apoptosis !

Its amazing that one year ago at this very moment I started the group to raise awareness about feet first vore artwork and the artists who create the scenes featured in the group over the past 12 months. There have been quite a lot of good pictures that have been posted in the past year. DAFF Selection for 12/30/013 Human vs Dragon.

Why this image was chosen - Humans vs [ insert cool looking pred here ] has always been an attention grabber for me. When I came across 4 new feet/butt first images that were posted today I had a hard time figuring out which one should get the review. The final decision was given to this really good piece of work that was done by Dragonsintheattic because it was the best of the bunch and has been inducted into the group's hall of fame. I knew when I saw the thumbnail that it was a good picture and that I would not be disappointed when I looked at it in full size. To start with Captain Colin belongs to Buteo and the dragon is Mandarax, in this scene the dragon is apparently having the good captain for lunch/dinner. However, the artist puts down some other possibilities in their description. . .
" Mandarax surely wouldn't eat his captain, Colin.... surely not.
Maybe it's a magic trick.
Maybe Mandarax is rescuing Colin from that copperhead.
Maybe Mandarax just has an itch in his throat he can't reach.
Maybe this is just one of those things that shouldn't be scrutinised too closely.
In this rather lovely scene the drawing and coloring is very pleasing to the eyes, the one thing thats stands out for me in this piece is the way the dragon's hair has been done, it's "styling" is unique to the character. Then of course there's the mouth detail, the impressive thick jawlines and the connective flesh between upper and lower. The dragon's tongue is great, so is the drool and the way the dragon's expression makes it look like its something he does quite often. The way that Colin is reaching down along the base of the tongue makes me think that he's rubbing, touching every inch of it to see what it feels like. If I were in his place I know I'd be reaching, touching, feeling every texture in that mouth to add to the experience. The bright red color, shading, the spots and discolorations add some texture to the visual depth of the dragon. The background is simple, earthy green and yet well done, showing a forested scene that tells where this situation is happening.
This is a nice looking piece of work Dragonsintheattic and congrats on the feature/hall of fame selection.

Why this image was chosen - Now this is something I've not seen before and I love the idea! This is a piece of artwork that has been "drawn" with words. Look closely at the image and you will see that everything in it is strategically placed text, some of it is even lighter in color. It looks to me like this is a feet first scene but even if it isn't I want to feature it because of the unique style, its cool! You gotta love the way the words have been placed on this image to shape the head, the eyes, the mouth, the prey ( and I could go on and on about each detail.) The horns, ridges and everything along the back of the head and neck must have been quite hard to do in text, ( especially to have it turn out like this.) I really like the little teeth in the dragon's mouth as well as the text drool thats splatted in the lower parts of this image. Another good detail worth noting is the lighter colored text blotch along the face that runs just below the eye. Consequently you should also take note of the much darker blotch that makes up the lower part of the dragon's tongue. The image may be simple but the idea of a vore scene created by using strategically placed/shaded text has me impressed enough to put this in the group's hall of fame.
Congrats Nolow, this is a really clever idea that has been quite well done.
