Posted 3 years agoYou probably know that now Russian artists and many others have problems with working with Paypal.
I, like all artists, used it to accept payment for orders, and survived on the amount accumulated over the month.
Due to the fact that drawing is the only way for me to make a living, I had to look for alternatives.
I tried this method, how to use Buy me a Coffee, but it was also blocked for Russians. Because of what, I could not use it in the future.
Many artists have switched to Work through Paysend, but I'm still skeptical of this method, as I have never used this site. (If you want to try it out, you can contact me)
they also tell me that the reviews of this method are not very good, and often the payment does not go through or is lost along the way.
My favorite is a Russian Patreon-like platform called Boosty.
This platform allows you to support an artist by purchasing one of the monthly subscriptions or simply by sending donations.

A small minus of Boosty is that all payments there are made in rubles, not in dollars. (I roughly translated the price of a monthly subscription for you into Dollars. I want to note that the exchange rate is constantly changing, which is why I cannot name the exact amount)
