This was a poem that was written for me as a gift by a very special person I hold to my heart.
Every day I look at it when I feel down or upset or troubled. I know at times it may seem my heart is cold or dead or non-existent...but its poetry like that that soothes me and helps tether me into a realm of tranquility.


Dragon on my Hand
--for Skorksis
"I have a dragon wrapped around my finger,
Sterling silver worn with touch and time.
Dragon father's scales and tail and muscle
Crystallized in memory and rhyme.

I see him there and smile when I remember,
A distant elder dragon dear to me.
When stress and trials are harsh upon my spirit,
The talisman reminds my memory.

And when my life may keep my hands too busy,
Reality too harsh for wearing art;
A chain around my neck, beneath my work shirt,
Will keep him safe and warm against my heart."

Many of you most likely know him as  evotrex

But I knew him for years as a close friend. And inspiration. And dare i say...A BROTHEr.

Rex was a good person. While he had a lot on his mind often he still had a heart that was greater then fort nox and glew brighter then any solar flare.

Always willing to talk. Always had helpful advice. And always did his best.

I Will always remember you and miss you Rex....and I will NEVER forget the words of
encouragement you gave me years ago. Even now I shed tears of pain because I feel as if a special person has been taken from me.

My Christmas hope,
My Christmas wish.
To lay beside a fire,
nestled in your wings,
Forever longing,
forever reaching,
For your simple touch,
to make my heart sing.

For one day I could awaken,
And shed not a single tear.
For one day to truly embrace,
In your arms without fear,
To gaze in your eyes,
with those of my own
To feel so safe and warm
and truly know im not alone.

My Christmas hope,

To lay my doubts aside,
To feel myself amongst you all,
and know im truly home,
To feel the warmth of you all near me,
and to rest easy and give myself freely,

So if my wish
and if my hope
should finaly reach your ears
please on christmas eve
an way past christmas day
Bring true joy to my heart

To bless me with what I truly wish
To be beside the ones I love
and to feel that christmas kiss
