Leaving furaffinity

You read that right, I'm leaving furaffinity. Truth is, I only stayed for the commissions I got here, but at this point in time it's not worth it any more.
I'm unimpressed with how this site is run, so I'll be switching to using weasyl as my main art site. Ill also be around twitter and tumblr.

surgery time
Posted 10 years agoHello everyone, just want to give you all a little heads up that if you are waiting on art, it might be a little while before I can get it to you. I'm having major surgery on the 5th, and wont be able to move around much for the first week or so.
I'll try and get as much done as I can between now and then.

Depression + Requests open
Posted 10 years agoI've started to tackle the issue of my depression finally, after a few years of recognizing that I have it. I kept telling myself I didn't need to work on it, it wasn't affecting my life and how I live. I was pretty naive.
I finally swallowed my pride and talked to my psychiatrist about it, and got put on some antidepressants. Supposedly, it runs back further than I realized. He said that my highschool years gave several flags for "Dysthymia", which he said is a long term mild form of depression. Unlike most forms of depression, it is continuous for a period of around two years.
I've been told that my dysthymia has caused me to have severe chronic depression, so instead of putting me on a "starter med", I got put on some strong stuff. I've been on it for a week and it's been messing up my stomach a lot, but at least the severe part of my depression is under control.
I feel weird though. I feel like I don't really deserve these drugs. I know that's a common thing with depression, so I'm hoping it goes away. I'm in a constant state of being mellow right now and it bothers me, mostly because I'm realizing this is actually the happiest I've been for a few months. Which...doesn't really match my perception of how I was feeling before taking these meds.
I'm not sure I'm even making sense anymore.
At any rate, unlike most people who go on a sort of hiatus during depressive periods, my pills give me a huge increase in focus. I don't have the motivation to do much with it, so I've been drawing way more than I used to.
If anyone wants to make a request I'll probably take it. I'm kind of interested in drawing some inflation/fatties again, I miss the squishy furs :9
On that note, if you were to commission me right now, you would probably get a MUCH BETTER QUALITY piece from me than ever before, due to my focusing improvements.
I'm trying out some hand-drawn backgrounds lately, as well, in place of my usual photo backgrounds. I still like the mixed media style, but I feel the hand-drawn BGs are more popular commission-wise.
TL;DR:
I got put on antidepressants that increased my focus, so expect huge leaps in my art-quality. Requests are open, and my commissions remain so as well.

I'd be willing to do just about any kind of thing you could ask for honestly, I'm pretty versatile and new ideas excite me. That includes (some) fetish art!

[ATTENTION] update on the commissions status
Posted 10 years agoSo as it turns out, someone in my house was in my room and accidentally yanked the cord on my tablet, effectively breaking the usb connection dock.
I had to dish out a lot of money to buy a new tablet, the estimated delivery is for between Monday, Sep. 14 and Monday, Oct. 5, so, until it arrives, I may not be able to work on commissions at all.
Theres a chance I may be able to find my old tablet, and a smaller chance still that it will work on windows 10, but I'll do my best and update here when something happens.
I'd like to thank you guys that I owe art to for your incredible patience.

[ATTENTION] Regarding current commission queue!
Posted 10 years agoI'm having a bit of a holdup regarding my current queue of commissions. The problem, in short? Windows 10 has a bit of an issue with my tablet software. Every few minutes it will disconnect and say the driver for my tablet is bad, meaning i have to reset the connection, which can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours to do successfully.
Please be understanding while I try to fix this issue, and otherwise work on the commissions in the few minutes I get here and there. I have not forgotten you all, I promise!

Posted 11 years agoSo in terms of motivation, I have none. I've found recently that what has been inspiring me is particularly unique or fun looking characters.
Look at strive's fursona, or tobibo's Adobe. (Thinking of redrawing him because, holy shit guys look how fun!!!)
These two have really motivated me to draw when I saw them. If you think you have a character of this type, please show me. If I like it enough I can guarantee free art c:
