Fang Con! Awesome new Fur Con!

One of the newest Fur cons will be opening its doors October 26th 2012 to its awaiting audience. This con is located in Nashville, TN with its theme: Musicals! What is more it is Opening Night! That will really come out when Rhubarb the Bear performs as he is the Musical GoH for the con. This bear has brought a few musicals to the fandom. His most recent premiered at Wild Nights to a standing ovation crowd, Fosgate: Ferret Loan Officer. He will be bringing his musical skills in several instruments in his own show and also a number of panels too. So he is not something to be missed.
Everything about it is appealing everything that traffic will allow
Something that you might find appealing is we will be offering the Super sponsors of the con a neat perk and that is a Beer Keg for their use. If all goes well they might even break open a second one later in the con’s weekend. A number of perks are being planned for the upper membership. Autograph and contact books, personalized sketch books, an Aurora badge and more. You can only get these with the upper membership admission.

You can get that happy feeling by being a part of the wine tasting that Fangcon will be offering. This will be a separate admission event during the con and something to look forward if you like to learn more about wine and would want to experience trying the different wines of the fermented grape. If you wish to be a part of this look for details on the Fangcon attendee forums. http://www.fangcon.org/forum/As far as stealing a bow that would likely be Calamity Cougar, our Fursuiter of Performing. As one of the few “talking” fursuiters of the fandom he is one of the one of the most well known for his redneck slang and antics through other cons he has attended. Buy your admission now and that gets you into the door. If you pre-register, prepay and attend we will be offering for those doing so. On Sunday scheduled is Husky in Denial with is own performance. If you also want to catch all of them and maybe more in their own Jam session where who knows what will happen. There is also something else to look forward to as our under study artist Wolfaya steps up on the stage as the artist GoH. She has been cranking out the artwork all year long for Fangcon and the critics are raving about her. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/wolfaya/ We are told she is expecting so we will be having a name the baby contest at the con. Who knows what we will come up with. Since she is expecting and we mean Very expecting, there stands a chance she may not be able to attend parts if not the whole con. The length stars will go to avoid the limelight!

Posted 13 years agoSo I'm looking to see if I'm decent/skilled enough to get into the fursuit game. I say that as opposed to I'm looking to get into it because there are enough so-so fursuit makers out there. I have had the privilege of encountering the better ones, however I want to see if I'm on par enough to put good suits out. My friend Lochland (costuming experience for stage productions) and I are looking at possible starting a little co-op fursuit business, and need a starting point.
Soooo.... this is where the at-cost footpaws/handpaws come into play.
He and I are going to soon start on trying these out. and we want them to benefit someone other than us just having foot and handpaws lying around. If anyone is looking for a set of hand or footpaws to complete their suit, let me know! We have basic black fur on hand, but will try others if requested. Ideally we will take a commission of solid color first then mutli on request!

Posted 13 years agoAlright everyone, you probably don't see this often enough, but I want you to rant, be mean if you have to, but I want you guys to rant about me. I want to know what people see as my flaws. I know I do things that bug people without realizing and I want that to change! If I do something that bothers you in any way shape or form or think something I do isn't right! And I want brutal effin honesty. That's one thing I value in friends, and I know furries try to ignore drama by just ignoring things that bug them. Don't ignore it any longer. Let me know in a comment, and if you don't feel its a public thing to be shared with anyone but you and I, pm/note me! thanks in advance to anyone for you're honesty, it means a lot!
To tell or not to tell?
Posted 13 years agoSo, I'm not sure how to handle this sort of question. When you commission art, and you have a somewhat rare species of character, that not a lot of people know a lot about, do you correct an artist when they don't do something correctly?
Example: I just did a whim commission from Rarakie. She drew my red panda, Daxter. The thing is, Red Pandas don't have paw pads, and they are plantigrade. Now, I'm no snob, but do you tell the artist that it was done incorrectly?
I was thinking about doing so, but I don't want her to think I'm being snooty. I just generally want to let her know these things about red pandas. I don't want her to feel obligated to remake it, nor do I want her to think I don't like it, because I LOVE it! A lot.
Ideas?
