General | Posted 16 years agoI'm starting to try to learn Japanese. I haven't tried to learn a language since I took a year of German in high school.
Right now I just got Rosetta Stone, since apparently people say that works. I also have a book on kanji, and I just got back from the book store with a pocket book on grammer and a Japanese/English dictionary.
Any body have any pointers on learning Japanese or know of any other references are a necessity?

General | Posted 16 years agoAfter almost 3 months of non stop searching I finally found a job. ^_^ Im happy that I have a job, but its far from what I actually want to be doing. Which is lame. Oh well this way I should be able to pay rent and all my other bills, and maybe buy a 1080p camera so I can make movies and make a demo reel for editing.
I really want to join the film editors guild, but I don't want to get in there with nothing under my belt, except college work that I didn't have full control over. Looking at the pay wages for those editors make me jealous. They make like $3k a week! I want that, and I want to make movies for all to enjoy.

But for now, Ill make sure people can watch tv by doing customer service for DirectTv.

Help with SAI key code stuff >.<
General | Posted 16 years agoSo my school deleted my email account, even though I paid to have it stay up, and they deleted all my stuff. And in the process I lost the key code stuff for SAI. I was just wondering if any of you know how to get that information back. SAI's website was pretty unhelpful when it came to figuring that out.
My rant on new US bill passed(read if you care about rights)
General | Posted 16 years agoOkay, I am thoroughly pissed off at the government here. This new bill passed, without a citizen vote, that all flavored tobacco is illegal and is under the authority of the FDA.
Now, I am not a big smoker, but I do enjoy shisha every once in a while and the occasional pipe tobacco or a grape flavored cigar. But beyond that, this is taking away from our rights. I just think everybody needs to be informed about what is going on in this country. We are being treated like little babies. Their reason for this bill, (which has gone pretty much un-noticed by civilians and the people it effects) is to stop smoking by children, because they say that flavored cigarettes and tobacco is a ploy to get children to start smoking at a younger age. This is also putting a ton of companies out of business, such as hookah bars and small smoke shops.

Snowdays in Colorado are insanely rare, they don't cancel unless its extreme weather. So today, I get to relax and not worry about classes or work, cause I can't do them WOOO!

Damn it...
General | Posted 17 years agoDon't you hate it when all day your trying to draw and nothing is coming out. Then you finally get something going and get into the groove, then look at the clock and go... Fuck'n hell, its almost 2am and I need to wake up early.
Well yeah... that's whats happening to me right now. I really wanna keep working on this drawing. But I also really need to go to bed cause I have an unusually busy day tomorrow. I'm still kinda balancing the idea of not going to sleep and working on this drawing, cause I probably wont' be able to touch it until next weekend. >.> But, I have a lot of driving to do tomorrow, and I don't think its very safe to be driving long distances while having little to no sleep.
On the bright side. Yay, I'm getting a new(ish) monitor tomorrow. I decided to borrow my room mates while he went out to Furry Fiesta, and now I'm hooked on dual monitors. I don't think I can go without dual monitors now, it was sooo helpful while drawing, and doing things like Ustream. So I had to buy another one since I have to give him back his monitor tomorrow.
I'm rambling now... nighty night.

Odd question about piercings.

But I'm getting more and more curious into getting a genital piercing. I've been doing some research, but I haven't found exactly what I'm looking for, and decided to start my questioning here.
My question is, how do you go about finding a reputable shop to do it. I can call up any shop and see if they do it. But I'm really paranoid about having it done horribly, cause obviously, its a really important spot. So how do I find a piercing artist that I can be sure they know what they are doing? Anybody with any ideas or experience with this?
