I forget a lot to update but I struggle more and more with time sometimes when it comes to some stuff--
journal updating being one of them haha..
Believe me, I have another journal to update (physical) that I just...havent filled in in a hot minute, so Im looking forward to that.

Every shenanigan and hit of the cold from Feb. got fixed after 2?? months?? so that was a relief. Went a bit smoother than I expected so am thankful for that one.

I also got a lil other work on the side, aside from commissions, so been busy with getting the hang of that while juggling the remaining of the commissions I had at the time.
Nonetheless I managed, so those are ready and done :]

Two updates from me so soon? Baffling I know!
So stuff is coming back to the usual here at least.
It's rather unbelievable, and somewhat remarkable, to me that we had icicles not long ago and the next day it was all gone from the sun haha! But everything is getting worked on in regards to the walls and all, so its still kind of busy from time to time but we keep going o9

Which brings me to my announcement!
Trying to get over my shyness, I'm planning to open the commissions tomorrow, whenever I update up the journal (likely in the morning)!
I still have to contact a couple more people but whatever slots are left please do look forward to them, as well as the next opening once I finish all the batches :]

Bit of a catching up. I still have yet to find a job that will hire me that is the same pay that I had before at least, so been still trucking through that. I still believe I will find the needle in the haystack but for now I know I just gotta keep looking at least.

Drawing wise; I have been doing study poses with a friend for the most part to keep the gears from getting rusty and just slowly get myself back to it, as well as keeping the anatomy in good shape. So if you're interested feel free to give it a try and work out those skills if you like!

Pretty normal stuff, up until this week that is.

Now, I am planning to open up commissions too next week for the reasons below, but if you dont wanna read through all that and get right to it then skip to the where the star is at! ★

Have you ever heard of the Texas cold? Me neither!
Thus on Valentines, that was sunday, a cold front came over here and pretty much turned the whole state upside down.
Which of course included us. We were out of power for about 2-3 days almost? Freezing cold, with little supplies cause we had no idea, and saving wherever we could really. Be it battery or any dry food we had preserved through our previous work.
However, in the midst of this crisis, one of the fire sprinkler pipes broke down and our apartment was drenched to shit because it was practically a monsoon inside the house. Which only got worse with the weather cause it was both freezing and raining at some point too.
Thankfully (although unfortunately for them too) we were able to come in contact with our neighbors in the midst of all this catastrophe who were directly underneath us and having the exact same issue and between everybody we were able to get a hold of residence maintenance and SOMEBODY that could help us.
It was...extremely frustrating and anxiety inducing being so out of options during all this so that was really the saving grace in all of this.
SO, as of right now everything is better than it was a couple days ago, but we're still recovering from the damages to the walls and the floor that is 90% carpet as well as some furniture that we just can't keep anymore.

★ Regarding commissions ★

A few updates on it at least from what I had initially:

- Prices will increase overall as this will be my main source of income for rn
- There will be less options to pick from but new additions along the way if there is any further interest again in them
- Sticker pack number will be reduced too
- There will be a slot system implemented too, first come first serve basis

I have been working on a new page for commissions so ya'll will see the new stuff I have rolling in there sometime next week, this is a heads up for then and I will probably make another journal just before dropping in the info and everything too just so there isn't much that's too sudden either.
I dont mean to be so sudden about everything but our whole situation has me a wee bit anxious still, so I appreciate the understanding and apologize for the inconvenience if any!

I will be contacting those who have asked for me to do so when I was planning on opening so, look forward to hearing from yall, but please otherwise don't try to jump ahead and take up a slot before the opening unless I contact you. If there are any slots left I'll put the page up ofc for anybody who wants to grab for then!

SO HI, HELLO

I DIDNT notice I havent updated here, journal wise, in over a year now.
So, hey I thought I'd give a little update and whatnot or at least announce I haven't really gone anywhere.
I just have the knack to mostly stalk around online more often than update if its not someone DMing me privately at least.
Old habits die hard it seems! but I am really sorry I kept such a long radio silence.

What happened?
well what my fleeting memories vaguely recall:
End of last year: taking care of finding a new job, dealing with holiday schedule there at the time, family visiting and showing up for those and whatnot. Finishing up work I still had pending and the like.
Hit this year: yay new full-time job then boom COVID chaos and lost said new job, not so yay.

Alas We've been doing alright so far.
I've been struggling a bit mentally but I mean, there's just... so much. So much, it kinda got to me and the same can be said art wise. I think I reached a burnout so tremendously big I spent a lot of days just struggling to bring myself to really do anything. Lifting the pen felt like a chore and sitting down felt like I had a humongous rock sitting right on my head. Its not like I dont wanna do stuff, I DO, but my energy is just so low I could hardly bring myself to want to do anything sometimes, even the most basic needs. I still struggle some days, but I wanna say Im progressing better to regular again. Slowly but surely o9

Anyways, I dont tend to share much cause I dont think I have much to say in general, but I hope that gives an idea of my whereabouts even if just a little.
How've you guys been? Im hoping well if anything and do make sure to stay safe out there!

Heya peeps!

As the title implies I will be closing commissions for short bit, probably until I finish my current queue and just a lil further to kind of take a small breather. If Im honest, I am getting a bit of a burnout and I think that's kind of affecting my workflow, I think I haven't really kept a good balance between personal work, commissions and outside work and such as of late, so that kind of has me a bit tired and I do wish to rework it better.

Fret not however, of course I do plan on jumping back and opening them again soon, I just need a lil bit to bounce back better. I think I've been doing commissions ever since I opened them like, a year and a half ago? maybe more? So this is mostly to get myself in a better working habit due to it becoming a bit more frequent and Im getting a bit more inconsistent with stuff. Im also thinking on reworking some things on my page and maybe add some more.

To my current commissioners no worries! I'll be getting to them as soon as I can and for those on my wait list/pending for sure as well! I appreciate all of your patience with me so far <3

Yall have been so wonderful and supportive all throughout I really can't express how grateful I am of everything and everyone. Im hoping I can get around posting a lot more often than I have been at least and come up with more stuff later on, maybe more YCHs and the like!

I had a really bad thing on my arm for a bit now (like a week or so?) we didnt know what it was but it got so bad that it became a staph infection and I had to go into urgent care to get it taken care of :') Ngl that whole procedure hurt like a bich , even with anesthesia and all. Right now its in some bandages so anything that it had inside would drain out, plus some heavy medication too. We had to use the emergency money I had saved up too. SO, into the grind I go.

Thankfully it wasn't the arm I use to draw, but still reaching hotkeys and such makes it burn and sting from time to time.

Which means, I'll still be able to do commissions! It just might be a little slower than usual as I try to recover from this thing and get out of the treatment I was given. So I apologize if it takes a bit for me to get something out but in a week or so I should be back to normal.

So

lent came around the corner and in preparations for it, right at my other job I've had to work for almost the whole week. I say almost because I did have a couple days off BUT I coulnd't progress much with anything due to unexpected circumstances :']

One of them being me getting sick, as it seems that the flu is going around at my work place. Started wednesday and still recovering the remains of it by now.

Well got a few things going- , idk if majorly stressing but stressful enough.

So our roommate is moving out for reasons of her own, fortunately she isnt going to leave us hanging completely, we'll have some help and time until we find somebody or somewhere else in any case. But we've been struggling financially and this might just make it more stressful.

This month I was almost wiped out of what I saved, trying to balance out what I needed to pay + some of my brothers part and car insurance :') . So, back to emergency spot again....(I cant thank my commissioners enough though holy moly)

So on that note, I still have commissions open if anybody's interested. Currently there is no limit on how many I take (but take in mind that if my queue does fill up I might be a bit slower on updating, but I'll do my best!)
