For anyone who reads this... PLEASE tell me what's happened in the furry community over the last three years! I feel like there are artists that I have yet to discover and events I've missed entirely due to my low level of involvement. Perhaps FA isn't even used that much anymore, but I have no clue. I'm interested in hearing how furs are involved in the furry community these days. (I feel old for saying that)

The truth is that I've been out of touch with all of you and I miss you all very much. I miss finding new artists, reading good furry stories, chatting with new furry friends, getting commissions done, etc

SO... what have I missed? I hope to be back and stay back for a while! :P

1. How long have you been on FurAffinity ?
Since July of 2007, so... EIGHT YEARS! Woo! ^__^ It's weird to think that I was a furry for 4 or 5 years before I got this FA account.

2. What does your username mean ?
Its my fursona name! *wagwags*

These are always so hard! Okay, uhm... passionate... understanding... and fun! ^.^

Right handed! Pretty much the only thing I can do with my left hand is play musical instruments. XD

6. What is your favorite type of art to create ?
It's a close call... and even though I have a great love for the visual arts, my favorite will always be music. :)

7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be ?
FURRY / ANTHRO ART! Freakin... oh my god. I know I can do it if I stick with it, I just have to... *turns into Shia Labeouf* DO IT!!!

9. What type of art do you tend to favorite the most ?
The art I tend to favorite usually has one of the following traits (not always but usually):
- Resonates with me emotionally; anywhere from making me smile and wag to making me cry.
- Toony and cute art. Unless the body proportions are just ridiculous or the style is too "stylized" to the point where things just don't look right.
- Sexy art. If it excites my nether regions... then I'll most-likely give it a +fav. XD
- Art with an outstanding color palette; if the colors are harmonious and stand out, I drool for it! And the artist who continuously amazes me like that is  ANGO76! Sooo good!!! (Also TairuPanda, :link blotch:, zombie-wolf, and wolf-nymph)
- Art with great lines/line variation as well as forms that are aesthetically unique and pleasing. My favorite artists who do this are probably horrorbuns, TairuPanda, vallhund, spookeedoo, RedRusker, blotch, zombie-wolf, glowfox, and fluke.

10. Who is your all-time favorite artist ?
Oof... damn... that. >_> That's almost too hard to answer. But if I HAD to pick... probably  Blotch. (YES, I'm aware that Blotch is two artists: Tess and Teagan)

11. If you could meet anyone on FurAffinity in person, who would it be ?
This is probably the easiest question for me to answer. It would be  X-Volt! I've been a HUGE fan of his music for YEARS! Getting to meet him... oh my god, I would be such a happy wuffy. :)

12. How has a fellow user impacted your life ?
I don't think there's a single user on here that hasn't impacted my life in some way. All of the artists on here fuel my mind and creativity and all of my friends on here fuel my heart and soul. I have many friends on here who are also my friends IRL and I assume that this question is referring to those I've not yet met in person, so out of my virtual friends who I've met and known through FA?...
- LWolfy will always hold a special place in my heart. He introduced me to the furry world WAAAY back when, he's always been the biggest sweetheart, the best guy, and is just a very special person.
- The music of X-Volt (Dead Pixel) has definitely gotten me through some hard times.
- ClefWolf has always been there for me and is another person I'd love to meet.
- FenrirKar and huskypupp were two of my first online furry friends ever! Both of them opened my mind a lot and I made good friends in them.
- HrryNrmn is someone who's definitely impacted my life. I've known him forever it seems, and he's just such a great person!
- Wolfpac had me sooo close to moving to Florida when I was a teenager! He's also an amazing person and definitely impacted my life in great ways. ^_^
- FOJazken (I don't think that's his current account but I can't find his current one)... he's one of my best friends. When I think of the fact that I STILL haven't met him, I actually get super sad because I don't understand how after all these years we still haven't met, lol. He's great and I can't wait for the day when we meet. :3

13. What are your preferred tools to create art ?
For music it's my voice and piano. For visual arts, it's Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, charcoal, acrylic, and pen.

14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art ?
Wherever my best friend is. She inspires me SOOOOO much. Her art is so wonderful and magical that I can't help but push myself to be better when I'm around her. Some artists discourage you when you see how amazing their work is, but not her; she helps me and is super sweet about it. I love you  Zombie-Wolf! ^_^

15. What is your favorite FurAffinity memory?
Haaah... probably the time when Vincent ( Draco751) left a shout on my page! All he said was "Bark! :)" but I flipped my shit. I swear, I spazzed out and practically screamed. I've had a crush on Vincent since I first became a furry. His main character is Banshee now, who I also love, but... Vincent and his fursuit are my weakness. I will never forget that shout. I definitely screencapped it. XD

Does anyone here play Monster Strike???

I recently started a furry music blog; this thing features furries who are also musicians, but... I don't wanna feature just any audio submission that's thrown on here on FA. Sooo, today was one of the coolest experiences for me!!!! Today was the KCFur BBQ in KCMO and let me tell ya... it was a BLAST!

I have been a furry for 10 years, been a KCFur member for about 5 years, and I even went to last year's BBQ. This one... OMG! Today was the first time I had seen a real full fursuit in person... AND also the first time I've ever been IN a fursuit!! Thank you Canine_Alters for that amazing opportunity. <3

I met so many amazing people and reunited with some old friends. Even with as much drama as can happen between us furries, it's amazing when we all come together like a family and we just have fun. What a phenomenal group of people. I love you all and I can't wait to see you again. <3 <3 <3

Let me premise this with: I'm not trying to offend anyone, I'm just voicing my opinion in a calm, civil manner. :)

SO... many people on this here website are freaking out.

Some people: "OH MY GOSH, I CAN'T BELIEVE THE ADMINS ARE BEING THIS STUPID! THAT'S THE LAST STRAW, I'M GOING TO WEASYL!"
Some people: "WOAH GUYS, CHILL! THE ADMINS WORK HARD TO PROVIDE THIS FREE SITE FOR YOU! THEY'RE DOING THEIR BEST!"
Some people: "I don't care about what those people over there are doing because it honestly doesn't concern/affect me..."

And then you have me, but I've just been sitting over here watching all of this go down like "Hmm... look at all of that."

But now I've listened to many arguments from many sides, and honestly... I'm a bit irritated. I think the reason why I'm irritated is because most people don't know how to remain civil. Now maybe that's just too much to ask of any internet subculture, but when you're talking about something as big as website loyalty, it starts to become a big deal. Website loyalty may not seem like a big deal, but it really is to a lot of people (most artists, website owners, faithful watchers, etc). Yes, some people are going to be creepy internet stalkers. No, admins aren't always going to behave in the most tactical manner. BUT... there are a two important things to remember:

1) You are an individual capable of forming your own unique opinions. More importantly; you don't have to shout those opinions at everyone else because... they are also capable of forming their own opinions.
2) When you have an opinion about something that you feel strongly about and you feel like action is necessary, you can communicate those opinions to people in a calm and civil manner. I know it sounds weird, but people usually listen better to someone who is calm and collected rather than someone who's freaking out.

... when something like this makes TONS of people leave this site, yes it upsets me. FA is a website I have loved since I was just a teenager. I wish some things were different here, sure, but when someone leaves a website they're loyal to, it's almost like they're breaking up with them. In any relationship, you have to work at it in order to make it last. It makes me sad that people aren't willing to (calmly) work with people to make this a better place. Instead, people are throwing in the towel and ragequitting. I'm considering joining Weasyl, but not because of this whole "FA exodus" thing. I think there are things that Weasyl does better than FA, but since FA has been around longer, there are things that are done better here as well. If I do join Weasyl, it will be because I like the website, not because I dislike this one.

I guess what I'm ultimately trying to say here, to everyone, is... pipe the fuck down. :)
