Yes, i believe everyone should have the same opportunities regardless of their wealth.

Everyone's gender and identity is their own business, no one gets to tell them whether they're right or wrong, and i believe no law should prevent them from being who they are or who they want to be.
I believe a person's uterus is theirs alone, and that goes for what's inside it too, if they no longer wish for it to be there.

I really don't see how anyone can argue with these things. It should be basic stuff... that's why it's human rights. They should be universal.

Though i will say that anyone who actually wanted this to happen by voting for it is absolute scum. fuck you. everything has been out in the open for years now, his true colours have been on full display, and still you chose this. the first time could be pardoned, but now it's entirely conscious and deliberate. there's no excuse anymore. if you're one of those people, you're dead to me... but still not as dead as you deserve to be.

But yeah... third strike, that's it for the old USA. it had a chance to redeem itself and choose correctly this time... and failed drastically. it boggles my mind how so many hatemongers won. it boggles my mind that evil can win, especially when it's not even hiding its true nature anymore.

It's just... very disappointing. For a country that claims to love freedom, it sure does like electing people who's sole aim is to take it away.

Whew, been a long time since i've had a sale. But i've recently left my mundane job finally, so this should become a little more regular. Also keep an eye out for other stuff in the months to come - not commissions per se, but there will be some other things as i figure out how to be a fulltime artist.

First i will post a placeholder image and get stuff set up a little bit before that, but right at 5pm i will replace the placeholder image with the sale, so y'all can refresh and then whatever pieces that are on it which are available to the first person who claims them will be open to grab. (there will probably be a few that will be via bid too, we will see)

After pieces are claimed/won i'll get in touch with people to arrange payment and get shipping info. All the info needed will be in the sale post when it first shows up with a placeholder image, but if there are any questions feel free to ask!

I've always kind of considered FA to be like... the old reliable - the site where an artist can come and share their work and not have to worry about it going anywhere. Free from the pitfalls and mental poison of social media; a remnant refuge of a bygone time.

But, that may be coming to an end it seems. The administration is not interested in what the users think... I mean, they've probably never been - but the walls of asinine and vague policy that can't ever be enforced fairly and without bias are being pushed in tighter by the admins' detachment from reality and reason, and all signs point to it becoming harder to breathe in here. All for what? To appease loudmouthed 'puriteens' who think porn and kink is some sort of sin? Has that small segment of the fandom from twitter really gained so much influence outside their own vicious, paranoid sphere? - Those are the only people this policy change benefits, the only people who will see this as a victory. It's certainly not going to improve the user experience, nor will it protect kids or whatever laughable reasoning they might claim to have for this.

Supposedly, according to them it's not a big change, just adding pokemon and digimon to the list of things that are banworthy under a set of really ill-fitting and unclear guidelines (essentially just giving mods further carte blanche to ban people or subject matter they don't personally like)... but if they really do start dropping the hammer on people for having a particular art style with proportions that "present as children" (which is the most idiotic thing i've ever heard) that really will be the end of FA, i think. The full on banning of "feral" porn in general will be next on the agenda in this worst-case devolution.

I'm not sure where i'll move my gallery to if they ban me for having vaporeons with stylistically accurate proportions, but if that happens it obviously won't be worth trying to appeal in order to stay here. If a small, quadrupedal, magic cartoon cat-dog can be called a "child" just because it has a petite body and a large head with big eyes, there's something very, very wrong with the people in charge.

So yeah, we'll see!
Part of me is hopeful it was just their communicational ineptitude that caused a shitstorm, that people overreacted because the admins didn't explain things properly and it's an uproar for no reason... but their response to the outcry and refusal to be transparent or even listen to users with valid concerns seems to indicate that they really just don't give a shit and are itching for the chance to significantly downsize their userbase. I guess that would save on server costs eh

Just wanted to say for those who bought art from me in the last sale and are still wondering where it is, i've been a little slow getting the last ones out, but it'll be done today!
I shipped about half of them out last week but still have a few left - i've finally got them all packed and ready though, and will be shipping them as soon as the post office counter reopens in an hour.

it's immensely frustrating being able to do nothing about anything, and as you can probably tell by my journals today, i'm taking a break from twitter. ...Which, i suppose, is at least one small something a person can do for themselves

Ugh i wish "blocking" someone on here actually removed them as a watcher and prevented them from seeing your stuff. But all it does is stop them from being able to comment... they can still freely enjoy the content made by people they and the politics to which they subscribe want to annihilate, and that just seems... wrong somehow

On that note, conservative bigots need to get the fuck out of the furry community. People who support the right and its oppression of LGBTQ+ folks (especially the all out war on trans rights, lately) are not welcome here on my page and should not be welcome anywhere in furry spaces.


EDIT: I know it's kind of late to address this, but i feel i need to emphasize the fact that i said "conservative bigots" not all conservatives.
Look... bigotry (particularly racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc) is a fundamental, core component of the modern american republican party, there's really no arguing that. And modern american politics is the lens through which my comments are projected, as i live in the USA. Conservative politicians here don't even try to hide their bigotry anymore... Obviously i think supporting those politicians causes harm, especially to the types of people of which our fandom is largely composed. BUT. I also know most of the people here are not themselves actively trying to be harmful to anyone.
This journal caused a few people, even one i'd known in passing for a long time, to show their true colours, and they've been blocked (for what little good it does) - it was to them and those like them that the original intent and title of this journal was addressed, really.
Most of you, though i may not understand how you can rationalize voting the way you do, are not in fact bigots yourselves.
I'm not sorry for this journal, but i feel what i said was blown out of proportion. Also i was angry, frustrated, and taking a break to detox from twitter... really what can ya do. World's goin' down

I finally got around to watching Sing 2

I'm not a critic or reviewer so i'm just gonna keep it simple and say, goddamn.
It's one of the best... i was blown away and i highly recommend watching it. I hit play for the furrybait but stayed for the feels... and boy were those some feels

Discovered yesterday that Of the Wand & the Moon released a new album in october, after 10 years. Had to get it immediately...
I'm so hooked on this song in particular, ugh. It's a perfect feeling

It's finally spring here and stuff is starting to grow and life feels lifey again. This is the best time of year and i'm starting to feel reborn with renewed creative juices.

I -just- got home. I deliver packages on sundays and i'm usually done between 1 and 2, or 3 at the latest... So of course the one day i schedule a sale i end up having a really long day.

I still have to take the photos and make the image collage thing (thought i'd have time when i got home) so given that it's already late and i haven't gotten that done yet, i'm going to postpone the sale instead of posting it way late. I'm sure you Europeans are trying to get to bed xD
