Alas, nothing lasts forever, especially vacations. Well. Again next year, right?
I cannot complai- HAHA YOU FOOLS I AM FINNISH OF COURSE I CAN AND WILL COMPLAIN
The first weeks the friggin' weather was abysmally hot and I burned the back of my knees. The back. Of my. Knees. WHO burns the back of their knees!?
Me, apparently. Go figure, I am pale as a ghost and that comes with the lovely benefit of being absolutely destroyed by direct sunlight. And oh boy do we have sunlight in Finland during summer time it literally never goes away!
But I digress.
My vacation was very nice, truthfully, if we do not count the early weather. I managed to do my passion, which is games, beer and BBQ. I did other things too, but I am not giving you a full recap lest I bore you all to death.
So, what now?
I managed to do not quite as much art as I wanted during the vacation and I took MUCH longer on some pieces than I wanted, but, I did manage to produce enough to make me feel at least a little accomplished. Yay! Gotta remember to celebrate even small victories, folks!
I feel confident enough, now, that I have decided to open commissions once again! 1 slot, with 1 in reserve.
Art trades are also back on the table as one might notice, I did one with
SamtheTaco and it was hella fun!
IF YOU TOO want to do one, you should talk to me first. Like, naturally that is what you have to do. Unless you can send some sort of psychic messages in which case I will politely but firmly ask you to get out of my head.

Posted 2 months agoI went ahead and rolled a 7-sided die, due to there being 7 participants! Logical, eh?
Well technically no true 7-sided die exists to do the roll with, but I learned you can actually do it with an evenly "sided" rod.
Thankfully we live in the fantastic age of the INTERNET so I could just use a virtual die, no need to look for obscure die to fulfill my specific RNG needs.
This is the one I was using, if you are for whatever reason interested.
And, I guess sometimes the age old saying of early birds, or in this case lizards, rings true, because the dice landed on no other than #1 ! What are the odds?! 14.29%, roughly.
And that means that

Unfortunately there can only be one winner, but I am slowly warming up to the idea of reopening commissions. Maybe even as a summer sale!
Incidentally, my summer vacation from my very real life work is starting soon (but not yet), so I believe I will have a lot more time to draw. Which is good, because I am feeling creative, if not limited by time!

Most of you might be aware that I got myself a new tablet, the Wacom Cintiq 16, and have now done some practice runs on it with satisfying results (at least to myself).
So what better way to practice even further than to do a fully lined, colored and shaded character picture?
I could just select from my OC's.
I could.
But instead I will do something more exciting that I have done a bit in the past, too, and due to my 5 year hiatus this is a little overdue anyway. And I am feeling confident enough that I will not completely ruin someone else's OC this time!
So, want a chance for me to draw your OC? ( You can alternatively choose from my OC's too if you really wanna but... eh, choice is yours!)

* I will be drawing ONE OC character of the winner's choice, fully lined, colored and shaded. Background will be simple or non-existent.
* The OC must be under the winner's ownership, OR alternatively if the OC has a different ownership, I need green-light from the owner themselves for the picture.
* The OC cannot be overly complex, and I will be the judge of that.
* The winner can choose whether the picture is SFW or NSFW, if not too much of a hassle there can be 2 variants of the picture, (nude / lightly clothed, or "clean" / "messy", for example).
* The winner can wish for a particular pose, and I will do my best to follow. But try to keep it simple, I am a simple man and my skills are so-so. Take note that I also do not draw things listed here: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/7094763/

* After all the numbers are pooled, I will toss the total into an RNG machine and let it pick ONE number at complete random. The number picked, will be the winner!

My Medieval festival trip was a great success and despite everything, I also managed to avoid a heat stroke! Breathability of linen fabric is no joke, I can tell you that much!
I also decided to go ahead with the purchase of Wacom Cintiq 16 tablet after consulting a fellow artists whose been using it for years. I do not know when it will arrive through the mail, but hopefully before midsummer since most of Finland will be be in chaos during that.
Which brings me to the doodles.
Once the new tablet arrives, I will be needing to do some practice!
So I am offering some free doodles!
It can be your OCs!
It can be my OCs!

I am going Medieval! Quite literally, in fact, as this weekend I am attending a Medieval Festival so the rest of the week I will be focusing solely on that. Last year I participated in said Festival for the first time in ages and it had evolved so much from the little event that it had originally sprouted from, and I had a ton of fun. I also did what any sane person would have done and bought 20,000 iron rings and "knit" myself a chainmail shirt from scratch. It only took 6 months to complete! It weighs ~12 kilograms! I will be wearing it all day! For days! With the rest of my gear! And I will be having a blast the entire time. And probably a few honey saison beers. Ya know, simply for authenticity's sake.
I wholeheartedly recommend such activities if they are available in anywhere near you.
But that isn't all, and I was hoping perhaps someone here could help me make a decision. I have decided to FINALLY upgrade my drawing tablet into a drawing tablet WITH A SCREEN. All very fancy.
Problem is, I am having a hard time deciding what would be a good choice.
Now I am considering Wacom Cintiq 16, but there is also a pro variant of that that could be useful, as I am a little worried that the Cintiq 16 non-pro is going to be too small for my tastes.
I did also considering some of the "alternative" brands but Wacom does tend to have the best tablet pens which tend to be pretty important as well.
If any of you have any insight for getting a screen tablet for drawing lizard titties I would be most thankful.

Posted 5 months agoHey all! It's been about a week since I did my whole "WHAT YEAR IS IT?!" re-emergence and slithered back like the silly snakething that I am.
Gonna be working to get the Hydra sisters finished, but I am unsure about the schedule, so I will just say what I always say and say that it will be done when it will be done, hahah. I got some personal tasks and stuff to do during the weekend so if I can find time to draw remains to be seen.
I am also attending a concert featuring my favorite band with the missus so I am not sure if there will be time to draw post-concert or if I am just going to game with my better half all night HAHAHA. It truly is a blessing to have a gamerwife, lemme tell you what.
Oh? What band, you might ask? Just the greatest, and most educated, melodic death metal band in the world.
Other things to discuss!
I have decided to slowly creep more of the LORE of the Hydra sisters, possibly also in artwork form. So more than just sexy pics.
... but mostly just sexy pics let's be real here.
But. I have seen that among some artists who have popular characters, they offer their versions of AMA for their creations.
Would there be any interest in doing an AMA for the Hydra sisters? I might even sketch some answers, and thus publish the 'best' questions.
That is all that is on my mind for now!

Anyway.
It's been about 5 years since I more or less disappeared. Well, more like took a planned vacation, I didn't mean to go completely dark but honestly, my personal life demanded so. After a long time, I finally feel comfortable and secure (as much as one can these days) enough to poke my head back in here.
Place has changed. I can't remember how any of this crap works. I can at least still hold a tablet pen and produce some lines, so there is that. Hence, updated mug to reflect my current whims.
Sorry for everyone who might have possibly been worried, HELLO NEW WATCHERS WHO STILL WATCHED ME DESPITE 5 YEAR HIATUS YA ALL CRAZY OPTIMISTIC!
So, the plan is to start slow, I will try to see if I can squeeze some artsyworks here and there, but the rate will probably be slow. Still, feels good to have done even the little I did today.

Wrapping up 2019, FC style
Posted 6 years agoFC style as in incredibly slowly, unpredictably and most of all, with shit-ton of stuff left undone as far as my art projects go!
First, let us talk about the RNG freebie I promised. Due to the complete lack of communication from the recipient after a certain point, I abandoned that project, got pissed and didn't touch the tablet in months. I completed the flat colors on the project, and I shall upload the result nonetheless. Needless to say, this made me think of a new rule regarding freebies if I ever decide to do those again. That rule being, that if you cannot stay in touch with me at least like, once a week or so, don't bother. I don't think that is too much to ask.
Enough about that, then, moving on.
I've secretly (dun-dun-dun-duuu) been working on a crude comic side project, which didn't get too far with my lazy working speed. Nonetheless, I completed 3 'pages' and will provide them. I do hope I will work on this "Dragonfodder" project in the future as well, it has been fun! Also, no, it does not contain vore in any shape or form. Unless I come up with a hilarious joke about it.
I will also upload a new, actually finished 2-variant picture, even if I completely ran out of energy to do anything meaningful with the background, as usual.
Now, the major news is that my family dynamics have changed dramatically (for the better!), but I require more time for my family, work and now, also extra education. Seeing as I will be extra busy, I can foresee my productivity somehow getting even lower than it has been. I will still be here, as always, but don't expect much. If... you did to begin with.
ALSO I am migrating to a new tabletop PC so we'll see how many WIP I will transfer over. I do hope nothing of importance isn't lost in transaction.
I hope everyone has a good remnant of 2019, and hopefully 2020 will be a delightful year.

There would be a million ways to describe this nation, a million ways to say how great it is, a million ways to explain why Finland is amazing, but words do it no justice.

Due to my horrible work-scheduling (artwise) and general lack of basic time management skills, I will begin work on Tari "at some point" :3
However, I figured I might as well keep the list going so I get a nice queue build! Wop wop!

Just like the title says, it is all so very true: I am very indecisive at times, to the point it drives people close to me absolutely bonkers.

Eeeeeeeeeey it's been a year since I wrote a journal and that quite frankly is pretty lazy even in my standards so I might as well write one now, on the beginning of the year 2017.
I ain't going to do no extra promises this year because let's be honest here, chances are I will make them too ambitious and end up doing them... never. So, this year I will just... roll with it. See how things turn out.
I have a lot of 'planned' pictures floating in my mind that I want to do but we shall see how many of them I will actually put to be worked onto.
I got a good start art-wise with a picture done with a new style that I believe will be my go-to style for anything I want to actually contribute to doing.
So I got that going for me.
Anyway, hope everyone's years start with a good note and awesome things keep happening to us all.

I am offering two freebie pin-ups for both a single female and single male nude picture in my newest style for practice (especially in anatomy) :3 Now, I decided that to make more sense to the selection, I will now divide this RNG roll into two categories: Male and female characters. I will roll the RNG dice once for each, and thus select the character from there.
Those of you who put both male and female characters in, I will list only one to balance the amount on either side. This is to make sure no one get's a double chance to win a freebie.
This is also the last chance to enter! All you need to do is add a comment stating you wish to enter, and then give me a reference to the character you wish to participate with. Hydra comics have been iced for the moment being due to lack of time and my horrible, truly horrible time scheduling skills. It shall be continued... in the future.
Now, as I am working my way to enhance my overall quality with shading and have been going through very promising experimentation so far, I feel that I need to keep up with my anatomy. So... what better way to study it than to draw it?
So here we go:
I will take on 2 freebies, which will be lined, colored and sketchy-greyscale shaded & highlighted.
These two freebies are a bit different.
First will be a nude female.
Second will be a nude male.
Focus will be on anatomy practice, so poses will be chosen accordingly.

Upon commissioning me you agree to the following I have listed below. I am sorry to be so... "official" and crap about it but the more clear the rules and conditions are, the less possible trouble we will have. Good for you. Good for me. Good for everyone!
First and foremost, I'm a man with a family and a steady, secure job (with rather inconsistent hours), so I cannot work on the commissions all the time, so progress will be slow. I will work on commissions whenever I get a chance. I can, due to this, keep the commissioner updated on progress whenever I make it if they want, so you know how far from completion the commission is. All "WIP" artwork will be bearing my watermark.
Secondly, I will only take full payments upfront, unless negotiated but I will not make exceptions lightly. I hate to be rude about it but I have had a past experience where I have been left unpaid for and thus, I learned a lesson. Paypal only, and the currency is euro ( € ) due to exchange rate fees and because I do live in the magical Eurozone. And no, I will not take exposure as payment.
Thirdly, understand what I can and cannot do. I have a certain style and certain set of skills I draw with, and while I am open to the idea of trying things differently, there are things I am just unable to do, whether it is due to simple limitations of my skills, or by personal view on things. For more extreme requests, there are specialized artists out there for you. Also, please do not ask me to draw/emulate another artist's style, it simply cannot be done. For the sake of it being said, commissioning me, you also accept that your commission will then be done in my style, and while I am very determined to stay accurate to my source materials and reference sheets provided, my style will always have it's own "look".
Things I will NOT draw include:
- Babyfurs/cubs/diapers
- Toilet fetishes (scat/watersports/etc)
- Non-OC characters (Sonic, MLP, etc)
- Macro/hyper (Not to be confused with big and/or overweight, I am ok with those)
Everything else can be discussed case-by-case. ^.=.^
Base starting prices are listed in my Commission page, but actual price is set case-by-case as well, depending on complexity, style, backgrounds etc. The info given at the page is for simply giving you an idea how much it would cost.
Notes about redraws: Once I provide the commissioner with a sketch and idea, it can still be changed freely. Once I am given green light to proceed, however, I retain the right to refuse massive redraws unless there is a blatant artist error (such as me misunderstanding a part or completely forgetting a major detail). Adjustments can be made, but the sooner they can be made, the better. Upon nearing completion, or upon completion, I also retain the right to refuse further redraws. Be advised that I will not offer full refunds, as I cannot get the time back used on working on the commission.
Lastly, should you choose to commission me, I will have you know you have my deepest gratitude for the chance you are giving me n.=.n

Upon commissioning me you agree to the following I have listed below. I am sorry to be so... "official" and crap about it but the more clear the rules and conditions are, the less possible trouble we will have. Good for you. Good for me. Good for everyone!
First and foremost, I'm a man with a family and a steady, secure job (with rather inconsistent hours), so I cannot work on the commissions all the time, so progress will be slow. I will work on commissions whenever I get a chance. I can, due to this, keep the commissioner updated on progress whenever I make it if they want, so you know how far from completion the commission is. All "WIP" artwork will be bearing my watermark.
Secondly, I will only take full payments upfront, unless negotiated but I will not make exceptions lightly. I hate to be rude about it but I have had a past experience where I have been left unpaid for and thus, I learned a lesson. Paypal only, and the currency is euro ( € ) due to exchange rate fees and because I do live in the magical Eurozone. And no, I will not take exposure as payment.
Thirdly, understand what I can and cannot do. I have a certain style and certain set of skills I draw with, and while I am open to the idea of trying things differently, there are things I am just unable to do, whether it is due to simple limitations of my skills, or by personal view on things. For more extreme requests, there are specialized artists out there for you. Also, please do not ask me to draw/emulate another artist's style, it simply cannot be done. For the sake of it being said, commissioning me, you also accept that your commission will then be done in my style, and while I am very determined to stay accurate to my source materials and reference sheets provided, my style will always have it's own "look".
Things I will NOT draw include:
- Babyfurs/cubs/diapers
- Toilet fetishes (scat/watersports/etc)
- Non-OC characters (Sonic, MLP, etc)
- Macro/hyper (Not to be confused with big and/or overweight, I am ok with those)
Everything else can be discussed case-by-case. ^.=.^
Base starting prices are listed in my Commission page, but actual price is set case-by-case as well, depending on complexity, style, backgrounds etc. The info given at the page is for simply giving you an idea how much it would cost.
Notes about redraws: Once I provide the commissioner with a sketch and idea, it can still be changed freely. Once I am given green light to proceed, however, I retain the right to refuse massive redraws unless there is a blatant artist error (such as me misunderstanding a part or completely forgetting a major detail). Adjustments can be made, but the sooner they can be made, the better. Upon nearing completion, or upon completion, I also retain the right to refuse further redraws. Be advised that I will not offer full refunds, as I cannot get the time back used on working on the commission.
