ToyHouse - I think? + General Update
Posted 3 weeks agoI can't remember if that's the right name but I'd heard about an artist site that I believe is called ToyHouse but that it's purely invite-only in order to join. Do any other artists or fans there know how one might go about getting an invite code and is it even okay that I'm asking? ^^;
I'm afraid my work schedule makes me quite a solitary wolf so I don't really have artistic friends to ask about this. Any advice or help regarding this would be immensely appreciated! I'd love to be able to free-ball some designs or ideas in my downtime and possibly give people some new characters or fursonas with such. :)
I've been a bit a bit sparse in posting because I recently had to reformat my computer when I had to replace the motherboard and CPU. Nothing bad! Just very long overdue update. I backed up my drive and have been setting back up my programs and such, which thankfully has been relatively straight forward in doing. I should be back in the swing of it now, just those occasional moments when I reach for something and realize it's not on the drive anymore hah! :P
Anywho, just a small update there and yeah! If anyone can provide further knowledge or help regarding Toy House, I'd appreciate it! :D

July Sketch'em Window: FULL, TY!
Posted a month agoI'm opening the window for July's Sketch'em slots, of which I'd like to get 1 more, at most!
July's batch will have a delivery of around September/October, so please make sure you're okay with this! <3
The window will remain open until enough slots have been claimed, so no rush!
Not first-come, first-serve, so take your time and read the rules below and apply if interested! ^^

1. Sketch'ems are single-character only.
2. Regular Sketch'em is $200, unless rule #3 and/or #4 applies. (See Rules 3 & 4)
3. Adult work costs +$15! (i.e. erections, masturbation, or sex.) Sexy-theme is allowed without fees tho.
4. Excessive details such as tattoos, spots, wings, or detailed outfits can add up to $15 to the price.
5. Not first-come, first-serve. I'll check out your character/idea first and let you know!^^
6. Multiple-slots are now allowed up to 2. Apply or note me for more info/clarification. :)
7. Turn-around time is set for September-October. (at latest)
8. Payment is due within 24 hours of reserving a slot. No extensions, sorry! Failure to pay in time will result in forfeit of slot.
9. The finished picture will be roughly 1000x1700 and does not have an higher-resolution version. Whatcha see is whatcha get!^^
(Many folks ask about HD versions, so I felt compelled to post this. It's one of the differences between 1-char pics and Sketch'ems)
10. No Alternate versions, i.e. both SFW + NSFW versions of a Sketch'em. Please decide SFW or NSFW and title your note as such. :)

As such, there aren't WIPs but if I miss any details, I will gladly fix my errors. :) Simple suggestion ideas for outfits/gestures/posing are allowed to avoid art too similar to what you already have, but ask first in your application! ^^
That said, this is more for the fun of drawing your character with a general theme/mood in mind!

As some may know, I've had a Patreon for a good number of years now but the slots have always been strictly limited, with open slots only happening when others change their pledge or step down. This still holds true, but I have recently opened a different limited tier which has filled with existing patrons and left a 3 available openings in the $25 pledge tier. One slot has been pledged so far, so 2 remain as of Friday morning (7/25). If you have ever had interest in being part of the Sketch'em Squad team where you get to pay for a Sketch'em over 10 months, now is the perfect time to join!

• You pledge $25 per month on my Patreon in the "For-the-Artist" tier.
• Each month you're pledged earns a 10% discount off a Sketch'em.
• After 10 months, you have a fully paid-off Sketch'em of your choice! SFW or NSFW, you choose!
• This tier can use the saved up discount at any time AND they never have to pay any detail fees or adult fees!
• You don't have to wait for a journal/window opening to commission a Sketch'em.
While I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea, it can offer a great alternative to paying the lump-sum of $200+ for a Sketch'em by paying over time. Remember, these openings only happen when others change their pledge or step down from their current one. I do not open more slots from the set maximum. Once they are claimed, if history has shown me anything, they stay claimed for multiple years. New Commission Type Open, Sketch'em Lite! ^^

So I'm opening earlier this month for art slots because I want to experiment and try a new, more affordable type of commission.
This is the "maiden voyage" as it were of this new commission type, which I've decided to call "Sketch'em Lite".
I will be offering 4 slots to try this new commission type out, possibly 5 if enough folks are interested! :)
Allow me to give the rundown of the basics:
Q: How is a Sketch'em Lite different from a regular Sketch'em?
A: A Sketch'em Lite is a flat-colored Sketch'em with a single-color background in a basic shape (square, circle, diamond, etc.)
Please be aware, no shading will be added to this art! You are buying a Sketch'em that's done to the flat color phase, essentially.^^
Q: How much is a Sketch'em Lite?
A: I will be debuting this type at $130 starting, with $10 fee for excessive detail and $10 adult fee if you want it NSFW.
This cost covers the workload of 3-4 hours, including layout sketch, inking clean-up, and flat colors with a solid color shape background.
Q: If I get a Sketch'em Lite now, could I pay later to have it shaded & finished into a full Sketch'em?
A: Absolutely! You can reach out at any time to do this, just be prepared to pay $70 upfront to have it finished.
This is the cost of the shading, lighting, and finishing stages, which tend to be around 2-3 hours depending on complexity.
Q: What is the turn-around time on these?
A: These will still be put in the queue according to the month they were taken on, same as a normal Sketch'em.
This means if the estimated Sketch'em turn-around time for May is August, the Sketch'em Lites will also be estimated for August too!
Please make sure you are comfortable with my turn-around times before applying for a slot! ^^
Q: If I'm part of your patreon, can I use my discount towards a Sketch'em Lite?
A: Because it would make things really complicated to track, I unfortunately can't allow Patreon discounts to be used towards this type.
Sketch'em Lites will be open and equal availability for public applications. Patreon members can still claim normal Sketch'ems anytime!

So I'm opening earlier this month for art slots because I want to experiment and try a new, more affordable type of commission.
This is the "maiden voyage" as it were of this new commission type, which I've decided to call "Sketch'em Lite".
I will be offering 4 slots to try this new commission type out, possibly 5 if enough folks are interested! :)
Allow me to give the rundown of the basics:
Q: How is a Sketch'em Lite different from a regular Sketch'em?
A: A Sketch'em Lite is a flat-colored Sketch'em with a single-color background in a basic shape (square, circle, diamond, etc.)
Please be aware, no shading will be added to this art! You are buying a Sketch'em that's done to the flat color phase, essentially.^^
Q: How much is a Sketch'em Lite?
A: I will be debuting this type at $130 starting, with $10 fee for excessive detail and $10 adult fee if you want it NSFW.
This cost covers the workload of 3-4 hours, including layout sketch, inking clean-up, and flat colors with a solid color shape background.
Q: If I get a Sketch'em Lite now, could I pay later to have it shaded & finished into a full Sketch'em?
A: Absolutely! You can reach out at any time to do this, just be prepared to pay $70 upfront to have it finished.
This is the cost of the shading, lighting, and finishing stages, which tend to be around 2-3 hours depending on complexity.
Q: What is the turn-around time on these?
A: These will still be put in the queue according to the month they were taken on, same as a normal Sketch'em.
This means if the estimated Sketch'em turn-around time for May is August, the Sketch'em Lites will also be estimated for August too!
Please make sure you are comfortable with my turn-around times before applying for a slot! ^^
Q: If I'm part of your patreon, can I use my discount towards a Sketch'em Lite?
A: Because it would make things really complicated to track, I unfortunately can't allow Patreon discounts to be used towards this type.
Sketch'em Lites will be open and equal availability for public applications. Patreon members can still claim normal Sketch'ems anytime!

Anniversary Project Update! Shading stage is at 6/18 slots!
Posted 5 months agoThank you as always to everyone waiting on art from me so that I have the chance to finish out this sizeable project. Just a little update to keep all informed, we are at the shading stage with 6 out of 18 slots shaded as of today! The background is 50% complete, with more details being added during the finishing stages once shading's done.
I'm aiming to shade 2-3 slots a day so that each spot gets plenty of quality time focused on it. This puts the shading stage at around a week til completion (given a day or two for rest along the way.) Once shading is complete, it will be on to the finishing stage for last details and lighting adjustments.
So ETA on this project is around 1.5 weeks out or roughly 10 days, if all goes well! At which point I will proudly be posting the finished work here and be able to start back up on my regular queue. ^^

Anniversary Project Update - Flats Complete!
Posted 5 months agoAn update regarding the Anniversary Project: I've completed the flat colors for all slots!
All folks who are part of this should be receiving a note from me today with a glimpse at this current project status.
This will be the only time to fix any details I may have missed or gotten wrong, so let me know if something stands out. ^^
Once all of these fixes are done, this project will sally forth into the background being filled out.
Lastly, I will be adding the lighting, shading, and finishing touches which I hope to have complete by the end of April!
My deepest thanks to all who are patiently awaiting their sketch'ems and/or icons in the meantime.
They are absolutely next on my docket once this project from November is completed! <3And that concludes the Big Event!

Big Annual Event Announced! + March Sketch'em Window + Info

Mark your calendars for the Big Event Opening for larger commissions!
Wednesday, March 26th, 2025
This opening happens once a year for commissions such as 2-character, 1-character, and ref sheets!
If you've always wanted a 2-character adult piece or maybe a full 1-character adult piece, this is it!
Reference sheets are also an option, with optional "additional views" able to be added (priced per.)
If you are interested in a Sketch'em, I would recommend applying in the Sketch'em window specifically.
March Sketch'em Window
The March Sketch'em window will be opening tonight at 12am (US-central, March 21st.)
In all likelihood, the window will be open by the time y'all see this journal, so feel free to apply!
There is no set time limit for the March Sketch'em window, it will remain open until the slots are filled.
Goal for Sketch'em slots: Minimum 4, no more than 6.
15 Year Anniversary YCH Project
Lastly, my progress on the Anniversary Project is at 13/18 slots are at the flat-color phase. 5 to go! :D

Big March Plans and Updates!

Now that I've completed the November Sketch'em batch, I wanted to give an update on my March docket so everyone is kept in the know. There's a few things to go over so I'll space them out and address the two biggest plans each individually.
Firstly, Regarding the 15-Year Anniversary YCH piece, which was bid on by folks and signed up for back in November:
From this day forward, this project will be my main focus as I'm finally able to get into it without any side projects or distractions.
For those of you who are part of it, look forward to getting updates and ultimately, the completed project here over the next few weeks!
My goal is to have the full project completed by March's end, but if it takes longer, I will update you all directly so you're informed. ^^
I've genuinely been looking forward to this moment where I can buckle down on this and get this project completed!

Secondly, at the end of this month will be my "Big Annual Event" that I only open for once a year for bigger commission pieces.
As those who are familiar with this might know, this event helps me to raise funds to pay my taxes, hence why larger project slots will open.
Generally, the amount of work I take on during this specific event will aim for a set goal I have on my side.
The event takes place over a few days, with commission types opening for 2-character SFW or NSFW, 1-character SFW or NSFW, Ref Sheets, and icons.
Sketch'ems will be available too, but the larger commission types will get priority since this is the only time of the year you can apply for them! :)
Feel free to re-familiarize yourself with my commission prices and will/won't draw list in the meantime!
The exact date for the Big Annual Event will be announced roughly a week ahead of time. It will for sure be within the last full week of March.

Firstly, Regarding the 15-Year Anniversary YCH piece, which was bid on by folks and signed up for back in November:
From this day forward, this project will be my main focus as I'm finally able to get into it without any side projects or distractions.
For those of you who are part of it, look forward to getting updates and ultimately, the completed project here over the next few weeks!
My goal is to have the full project completed by March's end, but if it takes longer, I will update you all directly so you're informed. ^^
I've genuinely been looking forward to this moment where I can buckle down on this and get this project completed!

Secondly, at the end of this month will be my "Big Annual Event" that I only open for once a year for bigger commission pieces.
As those who are familiar with this might know, this event helps me to raise funds to pay my taxes, hence why larger project slots will open.
Generally, the amount of work I take on during this specific event will aim for a set goal I have on my side.
The event takes place over a few days, with commission types opening for 2-character SFW or NSFW, 1-character SFW or NSFW, Ref Sheets, and icons.
Sketch'ems will be available too, but the larger commission types will get priority since this is the only time of the year you can apply for them! :)
Feel free to re-familiarize yourself with my commission prices and will/won't draw list in the meantime!
The exact date for the Big Annual Event will be announced roughly a week ahead of time. It will for sure be within the last full week of March.

Upcoming February Window + Ko-fi made!

Hope everyone's keepin' warm this month and doin' well! ^^
I'm here with a friendly heads-up that the official February Sketch'em window will be opening on Monday, February 24th!
Rather than limiting the window to 24 hours as in the past, I will keep the window open until the number of slots is filled.
I'm hoping this will help allow a more convenient means to apply for any folks who might be interested in a spot.
In other news, at the suggestion of friends, I've finally gotten around to finally setting back up my Ko-fi page!
As you will see on the Ko-fi page , it is mainly a means of lending a helping-hand or tipping if you were especially happy with my work! :D
It's hard to admit how slim incoming work is getting while I'm trying to finish my current queue. I'm doing my best to remain optimistic though!
Every tiny bit helps and will go 100% towards my groceries and utilities, but please only give if you are in a good place to do so. <3
And even if you just took a look or shared with others that it exists, it truly helps as I don't wish to risk it reaching the wrong hands on other more visible social sites.
As always, I will aim to give my absolute best to my work and those included in it!
