EXALT CH1 COMPLETE
Posted 9 years agoAfter many delays production of Exalt's first chapter is finally complete! We are composing previews to show off and have already started on production of chapter two! After all this time, delays and obstacles we are done, soon enough we will have a backlog and Exalt will re-launch PUBLICALLY FOR FREE, hopefully during the Summertime? Posted 9 years agoI'm planning to integrate more of my content with Patreon first of all, this does NOT mean you will have to pay to see it, what it means is that I will be integrating the production and acquisition of content with Patreon. So the more my studio makes, the more often I can put out image content for projects or adult art on FA for everyone to enjoy. So if you support us, then you get more fun stuff. :3
Now that I've said that, what content do you want to see more of? It can be anything, or heck even sequels to things! Most of this will be produced on the policy of the more support I can get, the more I will produce, BUT, what image types do you want to see? Colmaton Group, Name Meme

The name Meer I had for awhile, always wanting to make a character with the name, and originally for a Lynx too. However I soon found myelf wanting an android lynx instead and thus the term Apex came into play (example being Apex hunter). Meer is meant to be THE ultimate fusion, a near pefect imitation of organic life (with the potential to evolve further into a more ultimate synthetic), thus making her the "Apex".

Sigma's name came from the Mega Man X villain of the same name, one who despite being literally destroyed at the end of every game, returned in a new form just as/if not more powerful. I chose this name for her because of two reasons, the first having gone through the Greek alphabet I chose Sigma as it was the one that best suited her and two, given the nature of the villain she is named after it fits the idea of perpetual evil. The concept that no matter how hard you fight or attempt to change things, evil will always be there, darkness will always return.

Well there's a lot of reasons and I admit, it's not the best option for everyone, especially since Patreon is a monthly support platform. However, I have been pushing for the dream of making a studio, writing comics and leading a team of creators of which I have no intention of abandoning anytime soon. Thus far, Patreon is my only source of income, there is a bit on the page where it states a portion of it is used for bills/food.etc although I suspect I'll have to make it more clear, I split the income between me and the artists, so I can live and they can be paired fairly for their work. Of course the more they do the more we can produce and the faster that things can be done, because their time is not cheap.
Also before you suggest I go get a job to help take care of myself, I have been looking. I've been looking for a very very long time.
So what do you get out of all this if you support? Well, we're not offering any sort of major rewards!
BUT… There are a few things!First of all, me and
tokkinim are working on a comic called Exalt, it has hit some bumps, but we’re nearly done the first chapter. Once it is complete we will be able to work heavily on chapter two, and I am working with others to work on the rest of the expanded universe. Brother out of hospital
Posted 9 years agoBrother was released from the hospital on the night of the fifteenth, from what the doctor's said it was an infection that led to an inflamed heart so luckily he caught it in time and ended up going. Nothing more serious or anything like heart disease, although he will be medicated for awhile, and I've made changes to what I get when I pick up groceries. Try to be more health concious in the house, at least a step up from what I have been (we've been lacking some things that we should have had in our diets to begin with so hopefully that will be fixed), and we're gonna keep him away from some super stress items for a few days but otherwise things seem to be on the up and up.
To be honest I'm still quite rattled, heart related problems are one of the scariest for me, up there with anything to do with the brain and cancer. (Although I have a fear of hand injuries as well, like a lot of people I'm sure. Mostly because other than playing video games I enjoy writing), however the scare is over, it's just a matter of making sure that medication is taken, check ups are done when the time comes and I work on calming down after the few days of worrying stress.
But yay, good news~

Posted 9 years agoMy brother ended up in the hospital, having called an ambulance Wednesday night, not long after 10pm PST due to severe pain. I proceeded to stay up for the entire night, only to collapse into bed around 4 - 5 in the afternoon on Thursday. I found out yesterday that he has, or had, not sure which, an inflamed heart. At least from what my mother told me, but I will be waiting until I visit the hospital today on my own to see what is actually going on. According to him, physically he feels better, but they are waiting on Ultrasound results that will be coming in today. I am not as stressed or panicky as I was before, and I am sure I will be fine, but the simple occurrence left me rattled some. So any major projects that I had planned that were not of utmost importance will be pushed back some, as this experience has not only left mental effects but has also has had a financial impact on us due to my brother missing shifts (he's the one that carries us financially, so that sucks.)

But here's the catch, you are NOT allowed to say what you would want to do with them or why you want to spend a day with them in the first place! You have to wait until I ASK you, I've done this little experiment before (although with a different scenario), so hopefully everyone follows the rules! The convention, VancouFur 2016 is over and despite getting sick at the end of it I had a wonderful time there, spent time with friends, had good food and got stuff. I've since recovered and have been taking some time for myself, roleplay is fun and all but at the end of the day, it's just a game, it's not a huge deal even if it can be fun and thus I've been focusing on more productive things..! So if I promised you an RP or we're in the middle of one, hopefully things should resume soon, and if you're hoping to start an adult one well... Right now I'm preferring things that are more action driven! Sex is kind of boring right now. x:

I passed 50K views when I wasn't looking?
Posted 9 years agoI was going to make a big deal about it and maybe even get an image to celebrate but damn. o.o Here we are at fifty thousand plus, hell I'm already five hundred views beyond it. O.o I guess I'll have to get something for a different milestone then, or perhaps a really really delayed one for 50K. Anyway, thank you to everyone who has watched me from earlier on or only just started, and of course in the middle as well! Here's to making the long journey to one hundred thousand views!
What would you like to see? [Normal Works]
Posted 9 years agoJust getting some feedback here, but in terms of normal works (non-fetish/adult, like actual proper normal and serious). What would you like to see more of? Keep in mind some of my characters are from specific settings but I suggest going through my gallery if you are unfamiliar, but is there a specific type of character you'd like to see more of, certain scenes or perhaps plot elements you would be interested in seeing me pursue? When you suggest ideas here however, please avoid including your own characters in these, even if I am currently working with you or in the same established universe as our own. I would like to keep to my own works for this brainstorm session as much as possible. But yeah, be it characters, concepts you'd like to see me explore or continue to expand upon or something else entirely, what would you all be interested in seeing?
Personal space in IMs..?
Posted 9 years agoThis has started to build up among a number of people, and at first I was just content to let in continue as normal. A lot of people, even over instant messenger do a sort of half roleplay talk, you know including things like *hugs* or otherwise. Simple things like that and other interactions, and that's fine, to a certain degree of course but I've noticed, among all the people I speak to over instant messengers that it's slowly started becoming a trend to attempt to go further?
And I don't mean like "HEY, LET'S HAVE SEX", no, not quite that far, and you know from one or two people sure whatever but when tons of people start doing things along the lines of trying to be gropey, or more cuddly than they should be, or kissing (this can be a tough one, this entirely depends on the person! and I'm not referring to kissing on the lips). There are some people I talk to, where the entire conversation outside of serious discussion is always done in character and thus, me and them are not ourselves or our sonas, we're just playing out our OCs interacting and sure. That's fine, it's just characters roleplaying, but there are other cases we're I am starting to get disturbed.
I've got a number of close friends, these are people who I would trust with personal things that I usually don't tell anyone for any reason, I would trust with money, passwords, all sorts of things. I have a level of openness with these people that ranges from things I will say (even how I'll talk) to how I'll act.
However otherwise, I'd like to point out something. I'm not my characters, if you're going to come on a messenger and decide to give a hug? Sure okay, but this is just a general message to everyone, there is a certain level of comfort I would like to maintain for myself, and that level of comfort usually sits in the realm of reality. (Basically, don't go doing anything beyond how you would act in person), and there are some people who are likely exempt from this, and no, I will not list who they are or how many. Anyone who talks with me on messengers however I ask that you please respect this from now on and also keep in mind that I'm in a relationship. Thank you for your time. :3

Posted 9 years agohttp://www.twitch.tv/skykitsunestudios I did my first proper stream just a bit ago, finished it off, the only downside is that I lack any set of well... I lack a microphone, but there is nothing wrong wit interacting with the chat! The channel is linked, so that way you can all follow it if you would like. Followers are much appreciated, it does help, at least it's a motivational boost and you get email updates for when I go online. I will try to make a streaming schedule in the future, and hopefully I will be able to get a microphone in the future as well so I can actually speak and not have to stall for typing in the chat~
I'll be linking up twitch stream stuff with Patreon as well, so that will support things like getting a good microphone and such, although I won't be doing it just yet. But yeah, there is is!

TRANSITIONING TO TELEGRAM
Posted 9 years agoI will be using the web version of Skype until further notice, but anyone, ANYONE who has me on Skype, get Telegram, you can download in on both computers and phones. Just download it and then tell me when you have it, I would like to leave Skype behind as much as possible so the more people I can get on there the better!

2. As per a previous journal I will be doing Twitch streams via my PS4 in the future, although all I need at this point is a decent quality microphone to speak through as I am currently lacking one. If you have any recommendations for microphones it would be very much appreciated since I will be needing it for this if I actually want to speak to viewers in the chat XD I don't have a specific game in mind for the first stream but among the games will likely be Dust: An Elysian Tail, Mighty No 9, Fallout 4 and a few others (especially since PSN offers free games each month, I do have a decent game list!). So we'll see how that goes.
The twitch stream will be covered under my little group, Sky Kitsune Studios.
3. On the subject of Sky Kitsune Studios, I have re-established communication with my friend and artist 2ll2l, he's feeling a lot better than he was last year and I can safely say that production on the webcomic Exalt will resume and we will make sure to build up the comic before posting the pages online again. Of course people will still be giving previews and updates, with Patreon getting the early view (by a day or a few). With this, there will be a number of other things as well, I will be working to plan a revamp of the patreon's tiers and it's description, nothing that will negatively affect any of the supporters of course but there is good news in all of this.
Our artist, Atherra is not only working on a setting of mine called Forever Falls, but she is now our core designer until we managed to fully restructure. Afterwards she will likely retain this position when it comes to artwork and I have full faith in her, she's young and incredibly talented. You should check her work out! With all of that this year should definitely be a lot smoother, especially since, well SKS has gained free access to a little boardroom here in Vancouver so we're one step closer to our own office XD

Little bit of a grocery boost?
Posted 9 years agoI'm not broke. Not by any means, but the weak ahead is looking a bit tough and I'd rather not eat too far into money. Would anyone be willing to perhaps chip in five or ten dollars to give things a bit of a boost? There is food in the kitchen, but I'm mostly aiming to get things like milk, eggs and such.
