next is The 7th Annual Private SSC/NewYears Celebrations. in its 7th year, this private Meet/party that is held at my house each New Years is only 2 and half weeks away.
Sadly This is a limited numbers meet as its a private meet/party at my house, and have to keep it below 30 people. For those who are home this New years, as tradition we will be Live-streaming the event for anyone who wants to join us online in the celebrations,
Each year this extravaganza got better and better, as a lot of planning and money went into it, and this year is its even better. We will have an Opening Ceremonies speech, a Fursuit friendly Live-casted Dance with Con-level dance lighting, a Fursuit lounge, games, the count down, and so much more.

firestormsix & 
skyryd3r are the hosts/MC's of this event, and we have been working hard to make it memorable for everyone even those at home watching the stream. Also some other volunteers have offered to possibly help out with the set ups, (names will be listed in the report after)
Alot of new plans are in place for this years event, and after some thinking of there is enough interest, maybe.. just maybe this can become a open even held at a hotel as the only Furry "New Years" convention with the help of a committee and staff.
- But for now for those who will be at home, join us online for the all-night stream.

Posted 10 years agoAnother MWFF has come and gone way to quickly ! Meaning it was a ton of fun as all the past MFF cons were.
- This year some friends from Austria flew here to Canada 3 days prior to the con, ( Charismatic/Darcus, Shade/Ataki, and Corrandilla/AusiWedge )
Then we shared the same flight to Chicago on Wednesday Dec. 3rd for 5 days of Convention fun.
Again it was awesome to see so many old friends and new friends there, much way to many to list here.
There are so many this hear i never got to see or meet up with either sadly.

aurawolf again this year.
There was some down moments as i discovered Dakkota's head is really showing the wear and tear of 7 years of use, and requiring much maintenance and repairs to keep him together. its likely that this con is the last for this head, as a 2.0 will be built soon to replace it.
We did the SSC Group photo on those stairs in the atrium area, with a total of 21 suiters on the photo, but another 12 SSC suiters were at the con were not present.

- On Sunday both my evil partner-in-crime/Dance Legend/instructor skyryd3r and i had planned to mess with the minds of the everyone, judges and spectators with an unexpected Dance performance by Zeke Hyena AND Dakkota Wolf, who took over from Zeke Hyena who started of the dance set in the MWFF 2014 Dance Competition, taking second place in the pro-division. ( Not all that appears is what you think though, but i will say both of us were in those suits. :P

The convention overall was a great time as always, except for the mess on Saturday night when some criminal decided to release Chlorine Gas in the stair well between the 9th & 10th floor near the North/East wing, evacuating the 4000 plus people from the Hyatt for some 4 - 5 hours. A few of us spent the time over in the Hilton across the street in TontigFox & Synthfox's room with many other refugees from the Hyatt. As a former Firefighter of 12 years and a former Municipal planning commitee planner, i can confirm how large cities have bloated to wasting so much excessive emergency resources on every call-out from a cat stuck in a tree to a someone stuck in a portapotty.
what i seen confirmed the bureaucracy wasting of how much was at the scene. When i counted four Ariial-Rescue Appratuses there along with some 50 other fire vehicles, an army of Police, and others, its a classic case excessive resource wasting and City mismanagement.
Don't get me wrong, the emergency teams present did a great job of controlling the scene and performing operations protocol, but its what i seen that is Remanent of what Toronto used to do 10 years ago until they re-worked the emergency planning and response protocol to refine the services for better efficiency.
Either way i hope the investigation will conclude with the capture of the person(s) responsible. I don;t know if its the same in the US, but in Canada any attack on a group of people like this to cause multiple casualties and mass-fear and panic is considered a terrorist attack.
Other than that as i said the con was awesome. Again i would like to thank the staff of MWFF & the Hyatt for hosting such a great con that not many others are able to do at this level. This was my 8th MFF, and they keep getting better.

Posted 11 years agoi just got home from MFF. As every year the Con was awesome. ( I will post a report Journal on that soon.)
But this Journal is about what i found when i opened my luggage after returning from the airport.
- The first thing i noticed was a "TSA Baggage Inspection" note on top of my fursuits and other stuff, after working the zippers open with the fur jammed in the zippers and sticking out through them in both suit cases..
The second thing i noticed was that all the suit parts and items were not in the luggage how i packed them, but just all jammed in there in a mess, then after removing the Max Lion head, i discovered this bright green stained liquid "Sprayed" across the muzzle and in another separate spot on a paw nearby.
at first i had no clue where it came from or what it was, but after smelling it i knew it was Lime-Green MIO water enhancer, which i found the open & empty stuffed in the opposite corner of the suitcase. I had three of these MIO water Enhancer bottles packed in a side pocket of the suit case, closed tightly, the pocket zipped up, and the head was facing away and on the other side of the suit case.
It appears to be a deliberate act of damage by some asshole TSA inspector, who likely opened the bottle of MIO to see or test what "liquid" was in it by spraying it out on the head and everywhere then cramming it all back in, zipped it up, and send it off to the plane.
There is NO WAY the bottle of MIO unzipped the pocket, walked across the inside of the luggage to spray its self empty on the fursuit head, then pokes itself in the opposite corner of the suit case. Also it takes some force to push open the MIO top, then a continued & consistent force to spray it out the rubber plug in the top of these bottles. This was no accident or leak. Not a chance in hell.
This was a criminal act of vandalism by some TSA asshole who probably didn't like furries, fursuits, or whatever the case may be here..
The problem here is this government-supported corrupt organization known as the TSA can do these criminal acts or vandalism, damage, invasion-of-privacy acts & more, and get away with it all completely and be protected from prosecution by the very federal government that pays them to destroy, abuse, and vandalize innocent travelers property.
The below photo is the green stain i found as soon as i took it out of the suitcase and ran some water over it to begin loosening the stain. this photo is better resolution and detail than the compressed Twitter one, that shows the stain appearing to be "sprayed" on the fur and not "leaked". its more visible on the white than on the Tan fur, ( which the spray line goes up across Max's face side:

I should have taken photos of how i found all the items just jammed in the suitcase, and a photo of the location where i found the bottle, but the photo below is of the suitcase, the TSA Inspection notes left in the luggage, the MIO container, and a red arrow showing the pouch where i had the MIO bottles in and zipped up. The green arrow is where the Lion Fursuit head was located and facing, and the blue arrow is the corner where the almost empty bottle of MIO was left:

I will not say here what i really think of these TSA rejects, but as many other people have found out with their Actions packers busted open, "TSA-Approved" locks cut off, items missing, damaged, broken, etc. i'm just another victim of a corrupt organization supported & protected by a federal government.
As i am a foreign citizen i have little chance as many others in getting answers as i read before the TSA will deny it, and claim they are just "doing their job" to cover up the BS that they are known to do to travelers property.
UPDATE: - the Oxyclean (MaxForce Laundry stain remover) is working to remove the heavy green dye stain, but taking multiple applications and scrubbings.
- its sad when we all try our hardest to protect, and keep our fursuits safe... then some asshole who is immune to prosecution that we have no control over can just do what they want with it behind the scenes, and get away with it under protection of who they are.
These idiots could of even take the heads & suits out, throw them around, stomp on them, laugh at them, blow their nose in them, or piss in them for all we know and never know about it.... I just want to cry because it makes us feel so vulnerable and abused by an organization that was "supposed" to protect us, not destroy our personal things out of fun for them.

- also the sticky door handles, the aroma of pizza and booze, the glow-sticks littering the hallways and Dance floors...
- The cameras, fursuits, massive hugging and happiness, the room meets and parties, the artists and sketchbooks everywhere, old friends and new friends... Its a place where we can be with friends, a place where we can just be ourselves, a place where we can just have a ton of fun and make memories...
Even after nearly 15 years of attending Furcons, the fun and enjoyment is still as strong as ever!
I'm sooo looking forward to seeing you all soon at the MidwestFurfest extravaganza coming up soon :D

** UPDATES ON SSC/MFF GROUP PHOTO! **
Posted 11 years agoI'm thinking this year as soon after the parade group photo is done, we all met up by those stairs just inside that sough Lobby exit, ( the small lobby area just past the Fursuit Headless Lounge)
It would be cool to do the group photo different this year than the usual outdoors.
Also, there is an option to do the photo at another set time if its better overall for everyone, i will let you decide. If needed we can arrange & set a time in the evening when everyone is free, to meet there for a photo shoot.
Lets hear your thoughts.

Posted 11 years agoOk, for the SSC fursuit group photo, we will be doing it at the end of the group photo of the fursuit parade, but we all will move just inside the door to the stairway area.
We all will meet up outside during or after the main fursuit group photos, then head inside for the SSC photo.
IF the weather is good, we may do the photo outside as we did over the last number of years.

Dakkota Wolf 2.0 ?
Posted 11 years agoAfter 8 years since i built my very first fursuit on my own, which is the current Dakkota Wolf, im discovering his current head is really showing its age, and with it being still the original-prototype that determined if i would venture into fursuit building as a profession, he is really showing the wear and tear of time.
I know i mentioned it in a journal a few years back, but i delayed it and kept him going for these last few years.
I believe its time to build Dakkota a new head with all the modern techniques and designs.
MFF may be the last con for this current head, but the next con he may be new.
I am interested though in your thoughts on the design. As Dakkota has become a bit of a "known" character in the fandom, i'm not sure how some design/shape changes would be accepted.
Should i build the new head with the shape of the original, but with new internals and material, or build him in the new current design that most people want in commissioned suits, ( as in the current shape of the recent suits like the Charismatic Wolf, Beauwolf, etc.) but with Dakkota eyes, colors, fur, and patterns ?
I may do a Photoshop of the current shape/design to see how he would look.

Posted 11 years agocurrently i am overloaded in so many things over the next couple months its very stressful, depressing, and even unhealthy.
Between the rush to finished up certain fursuit stuff before MFF, a now increased work load at my other job, and falling way behind on errands and things needed to be done around the house before the winter, there are a lot of things that really bothering me and causing me pain.
- I have to get some important errands done over the next month, ( including some renovations finished before Xmas,) some things winterized in the yard, etc. and added with the extra work load and the current rush of getting a fursuit completed before MFF, i do not know how i am going to handle it all..
I am reaching a point of wanting to say " i'm done". & give up.
With all this on my plate its even affecting me to the point i'm not even looking forward to MFF or Xmas this year.
Its all just way to much for me. So many things have piled up on me i can not cope with anymore and its dragging me down quite a bit.
Between the rush to finished up certain fursuit stuff before MFF, a now increased work load at my other job, and falling way behind on errands and things needed to be done around the house before the winter, there are a lot of things that really bothering me and causing me pain.
- I have to get some important errands done over the next month, ( including some renovations finished before Xmas,) some things winterized in the yard, etc. and added with the extra work load and the current rush of getting a fursuit completed before MFF, i do not know how i am going to handle it all..

Posted 11 years agoSo now the first auction that took place back 9 months ago was done and completed, is it time to soon open another one ? I keep getting people asking me when the next open full suit auction will be. As i am currently booked solid with work load until into the new year,
i may offer another auction over Christmas or December, to close it during Xmas to the winner to open in the new year. -

Posted 11 years ago- CR Crafts / MontereyMills finally fixed my fur order, and a truck load of fur is on the way for some WIP suits in need of it.
- Completed the Anubian jackal and Jake Shepherd, full suit photos soon !
- Finished a head base tonight, beginning the furring tomorrow.

Posted 11 years ago- First i have some bad news about attending Furlaxation next weekend, sadly i have to cancel due to several unforeseen obstacles preventing me from going this year at this time.
I was really looking forward to this one too as one of the GOH's there this year, but some family issues, financial obstacles, transportation difficulties, etc. all combined is preventing me from attending.
I will be at Midwest Furfest in December however.

I am currently working on three full suits, two partials, and two head commissions, and a suit body partial rebuild. two of the full suits are almost completed, and another is waiting for the back ordered White Teddy fur that Monterey Mills/CR Crafts have been out of for over 4 months, now and when my first ( of three) orders arrives last week it was useless creased and matted trash, delaying me further waiting for these needed furs for this 3rd full suit and other body repair.
among these current suits are the Auction-winner German Shepperd, the Anubian Jackal, a white & Grey wolf, a white and black wolf partial, a V2.0 blue,white, grey Wolf/husky, and guess what else... a "well known" realistic, orange overall-wearing raccoon that we know of in a recent Movie. :D
- I may have a little meet on Halloween weekend this year, ( it won't be all out like the SSC New Years Bash, but just a relaxing weekend or night of fursuit photos, drinks, dinner, etc. ) if there is enough interest i may plan something. The 7th Annual SSC Furry NYE Meet is on as usual, along with most of the attendees from last year already confirmed attending this year.
- In December i will be attending MFF, with Darcus, Wolfbold, and Corrandilla all from Austria visiting me a few days before the con then we all fly out to Chicago together. I will be there from Wednesday evening till Monday morning.
- once i can get some of the above suit WIPs completed, (hopefully by mid to late October) i will be opening up the next 3 more full suits from the list, along with preparing the Toony Corgi head to be auctioned off as a full suit, but the Auction will be set for the Auction winner to have their measurements sent to me so the body can be custom made to fit. :)
- Also plans are already begun for the 2nd Furry Canoe Back Country Camping trip in May to Algonquin. ( on the VictoriaDay/MemorialDay weekend) This time there will be room for up to 8 or 10 people, (This spring past on the first trip there was 6 of us with 3 Canoes) and this time around we will have some new tents, 4 to 5 canoes (depending on the number of attendees) and w2ill be for 3 nights to a private island campsite on beautiful Lake Opeongo in Algonquin Park. ( likely a different Island camp than this year.
as far as i know now all the same 6 people who went this year are confirmed and interested in going again, so we do have up to 4 spots available, but if you have your own canoe and vehicle, we can likely go as far as 12 people if all the spots fill up. (we seen a site on an island this year that had at least 12 - 14 people at one camp. ) i do have the base-camp gear available to supply a group of 12 or more, we just would need more canoes, vehicles, and tents. This trip needs to be planned early and people confirmed as soon as possible, as i have to reserve/Pre-register with the Park a month or two in advance for the Campsites. Cost of this trip is $ 130 per person, That covers everything, your transportation from my house to the lake and back, it covers all the food/meals, Gear, supplies, fuel, Permits, registration, pretty much everything for the entire 3 night/day trip. all you need extra is basic personal camping gear.

CR Crafts screwing up more fabric orders.
Posted 11 years agoHave other builders been experiencing worsening customer service form CR Crafts ?
So after 3 months of waiting for the Teddy Bear White fur, they send me 6 years of damaged useless white fur.
It was matted and creased so badly it is unusable or fixable. ( it appears to be the fur near the core of a roll that is usually creased so badly its trash.)
They said they would send more, but would not tell me when, and if it was going to be any better..
So now this puts more delays on some WIP suits in need of this fur.

On Wednesday night
indy5brad and 
bashley1991 arrived at my house for the night before we left for Feral, then on Thursday the rest of the convoy gang arrived.
a convoy of 4 vehicles, with Myself,
komm-wolfgang , 
aceclaw , 
keanu in my vehicle, Indy5brad & bashley1991 in their van, with archeus68 , 
raverfox420, and 2 others in Archeus's SUV, and two more in another car. ( i can't remember their FA names, if anyone know them let me know i will add them here.)
With us also brought along a half a dozen Mountain Bikes, tons of gear, Archeus's 1938 vintage BSA motorcycle, and a Minion. :P >> http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14391908/
- on the way we all stopped at the Weber's Charcoal BBQ restaurant for lunch, then back on the road to Algonquin. We arrived at the Camp around 5 - 5:30 pm, to get unpacked and moved in to our party cabins # 19 and # 21.
shadowspawn arrived later that evening. The new Main Lodge at Arowhon was quite the amazing building, a little bogger and more modern than the old lodge. Even though the old lodge was more rustic, the new one was well designed to give that "camp feel" and now with the washrooms in the lodge instead of outside.
- as with past Ferals, there was lots of fun stuff through out the weekend, Archery, high-ropes, Canoeing, Kayaking, the Sing-along Campfire, Furries against Humanity, other board games, the Melee, Dodgeball, greased watermellon, the dances, Star gazing night, Biking, lots of good food, the list goes on.
Some of our high lights is our area near # 21 & #19 became the party area, especially on Friday night. :P
After getting rained-out last year to solo the giant Voyageur Canoe, this year was a nicer day on Sunday,
and the first time a Fursuiter solo-paddled the giant 35 foot long Voyageur Canoe: >> http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14366228/
a little wind was blowing making it very difficult to steer this boat, it was like paddling an Oil Tanker with a table spoon.
Among other highlights was the memorable moments when a group of visited a certain place with a certain light. :P
