On another subject, like I said Weasyl is another site which I make plenty use of.
While smaller than FA, there is one aspect which make it so that I still enjoy it is it's search feature.

While the website doesn't have a "browsing by subject, it instead has sections for submissions in general, character profiles and a section which allows one to see all journals posted on the site as well(so people can se what's being talked about by other people than just those they watch too).

However the search section itself, rather than being hidden in another menu like some other website, is instead available at all time to users thanks to a space at the top of users' screens at all time from which they can launch a new search whenever they want. Thanks to the way their search functions and tags filter system works, I find it -very- efficient at finding exactly the kind of content one likes by searching for art tagged with "TF" and "transformation", alongside tag filters to remove those tags whose content I like least.

(additional tags, for more precise search, can be added in the search by simple adding a + at the start of the word. For an example search for art containing both the "werewolf" and "transformation" tags would be simply written "transformation +werewolf" or "werewolf +transformation").

As a result, I'd be tempted to say that people who watches me on that side might find that Weasyl has a very nice selection of both TF and werewolves art even without having a "transformation" section in it's actual browsing menu, while it make it easy at all time to run precise searches for things pertaining to one's interest(ontop of the -very- useful, in my eyes, tags filter system ^^; ).

The news: Trudging along

A bit of a slow news week as I continue working on my current batch of commissions. As I continue to work on the current batch(two rather large orders) I decided I may have an announcement regarding future commissions once I'm done.

To give a bit of an head's up, do expect a (slight) increases in my prices of about 5$ for some of the different options. Possibly more options too once I get around to updating my pricelist.

Theme wise, I do need to warn that TF fans should expect perhaps a different way for things to be handled from now on, possibly with more standardized format. Especially for sequences which I note are both one of my more popular products... and I must admit one of those giving me the most difficulties.

So the last week has been a bit unproductive when it came to streams. There was a lot I hadn't expected to happen which sapped a lot of my will, to the point of possibly hitting a mini-burnout. This said, I've had a great weekend which helped me recover.

Also recomforting was a notable demand for large commissions which I didn't expect, which is always great for an artist. Some I might not be able to post here, but it's going to possibly keep me busy for a couple of days at least.

I'll thus be temporarily close my commissions queue until I've got more progresses underway. But this said, busy is good : )

This said, I'm also revising streaming schedules to less streams per weeks so I may stream only wednesday this week. Whether or not I will be open for commissions will depend on the progress for my current batch.
On a similar subject, I may also adjust my pricing rate and system for livestream in October, as I might possibly switch to a fixed pricerate for both streams and offline work fully(though there might possibly be some price adjustements to offline works as a result.)

I've just started work on a very large commission tonight. As a result, there are chances that I may not be streaming tonight to better focus on this especially with a lot of different things I've had to deal with both in art and life lately.

I might still stream later, but I'm just voicing it might be possible to not especially expect it. I might also stream but in a more private setup to keep the habit of streaming but let myself do it tonight in a bit more of a comfortable setup to recuperate from some RL stuff.

Edit: in hindsight, at least for a couple days, I might lay off streaming until I'm more underway with this commission

For a very short story, my offline queue got booked for the most part(one spot left, but two other spots are also reserved for the next queue) very quickly recently for a very large commission so I'll be taking a break tonight to prepare for this.
I've also had some difficulties with sleep lately that has taken a lot of my focus in a way that bothers me, so as a result I'll be using most of the evening for personal warm-ups and ideally trying to get myself to go to sleep not too late so I can recover a bit.

The news: Art, family and birthdays

Went to eat breakfast at a restaurant this morning for my grandmother's birthday which was very nice. Me, my mother, grandmother and a very close family friend went to eat at an italian place.
Right after, to combine the useful to the agreeable, I took profit of the proximity of an art store I had a gift card for(since Christmas! o.o ) to come walk out with a new set for acrylic painting as I'm considering taking to traditional art again and augment my selection of mediums. Sidenote: I may experiment with that soon.

This said, on the subject of birthdays it was my parents' wedding anniversary this weekend(the 34th!) and today I will -not- be streaming as this evening we'll also be celebrating my father's birthday and eating cake at my parent's place. As a bonus again of combining "nice things" with the practical, it will allow me to borrow a small "table easel" from my mother who's generally stopped painting(though she still has a very large easel for herself. As a sidenote I'd say she was a very competent painter, with good skill and experience painting with both acrylics and oil paint).


All of this said, art streams will be resuming tomorrow.

The news: Configurating along

I'll be currently be unable to stream tonight as I'm visiting family. However, there is some good news for commissioners of offline works. Due to recent events, I was unable to work whenever I had to leave outside of my home due to damages my laptop had received. My visit to family recently has however allowed me to get hold of a laptop my sister is lending me to work on my art when I need to leave the house for varied reasons. I'm currently thus spending my time configuring it for use with my tablet as well as giving it a test run which so far seems satisfactory. It's weaker than my own laptop but, for now, will do the job. I do have plans, in the future, to replace my laptop with a surface pro which would provide me with a setup that would allow to replace both a laptop and art tablet for my mobile setup. This said, this is not something I can afford with my current means so will be unlikely to be something I can afford soon.

The news: Draw A Werewolf Day

So a new week is starting again. Again, I'll be streaming tonight.
This said, today being a full moon we are thus currently on Draw a Werewolf Day. As this is a small event I very much like to participate it(as well as occasionally partaking in Werewolf Wednesdays), for the whole week werewolf commissions(excluding already discounted preposed commissions) will be 5% off for works worth more than 10$.

For commissions based on previous preposed character refferences, the discount will go up to 10%(this week's discount, plus the bonus discount for commissions based on previously commissioned preposed character refs).

This said, I also already have some pieces that I worked on recently that will be going up online today as soon as I scan them as they are more traditional art. I'm slowly building up a set of refferences that will hopefully be going into a traditional art price list at some point in the future. Keep alert for that!

Been feeling under a lot of crazy funk yesterday. Part of which I'm starting to believe was the result of a mix of both exhaustion and witnessing a lot of crazy shit online(the kind that led to someone whom I'd just started watching and enjoying the work off abandonning their career of 9 years after constant bullying and harassment).

As a result I'm probably going to use part of the weekend to chiefly relax, recover lost sleep and work on personal projects I've overlooked since the old job had hired me which, at least being currently unemployed, I can give some focus to again.


On a more positive note, Draw a Werewolf Day is coming on the 8th this month, this very monday, so that wil be something I will be looking forward to.

My apologies for this. I've been feeling shitty through most of the day for reasons I'd rather not discloses here right now. I wishes to improve that next week.

So as job loss is confirmed I am back to searching a new job. There seems to be promising leads in the area but I'll be crossing my fingers a bit. At the very least my region -tends- to be decent at employment. So I guess it'll be mainly a matter of taking my courage in both hands like we say up here to then kick my ass to fight off all those uncertainties and fears I tend to have when facing the prospect of searching for a job.

This said in the meantime I'll still need an income. And since I'm finding myself with a lot of "free"(insofar as I do not have a "scheduled" job) I will be using some of that freedom to resume my artstream in the evening. If anything it will force some level of stricture and order in my life such that I don't let myself go too badly.

Commissions Queue, pricing and rules

Maybe prone to be revamped and modified slightly in the coming weeks. This said, for now this is still the chart which applies.

Current state of my queue. There's still an openings left for the interested. If there are still some left to complete once I resume streaming, commissions in my queue will be prioritized at the start of every streams.

Process and communications:
First and foremost, offline commissions will be handled through notes for the time being. If you are interested in a commissions, just leave me a note on the gallery of your choice(http://www.furaffinity.net/user/fringedog/ https://www.weasyl.com/~ludocrow http://ludomercier.deviantart.com/) and I will reply to you as possible.

Once a commission and price(based on my pricelist) is approved, I will first start on the line sketch and then send this for initial approval. If lines are approved, then work will continue up to either shaded/toned or colors level depending on what was commissioned(or considered complete .

I allow for two revisions at each stages, to keep my work pace brisk. Normally I don't really expect to ever need more than one if any based on past livestream experiences.
Work-in-progress images and completed commissions will be communicated as dropbox links to the commissioners via private notes.

Commissions will be handled on a first-come/first served basis and I will add commissioners to a five-slots queue from which they will be removed as their commissions are handled.
Note that multiple-pictures commissions will see every pictures count as a single slot so a single commissions asking for a 3-stage sequences would be taking three slots by himself.

Payments and Pricelists:
Payments will always be handled via a paypal adress given during communication and is to be paid for upon the completion of work only. All commissions are to be paid in Canadian dollars, and payment IS to be paid for as "good and services".

The pricelist is as follow:
Line Sketches: 15$
Shaded/toned sketches: 25$
Colors: 50$

Separate pricelists will be coming for Digital Paintings and traditional works in the future.

Also, the prices are prone to adjustments as follow:

Additional characters: +50$ of BASE price
Backgrounds: +75% of BASE price
Extra Details(complex suit of armor or clothes, complex anatomy, etc):
+50$ of BASE price

Livestream Schedule

Current livestream rate: 25$CAD/hours

Week's Schedule: We're back to business. Taking this a bit slow but going to start official streams again tonight.

So for now the schedule will be as follow: tuesday, wednesday, thurdsay, friday I will be attempting to stream from 7h30pm to 11pm.

Just a little head's up until I get the time for a more proper update journal(after another full week without any) but considering that as previously discussed friday ended up my last day at work, I will be resuming commissions streams this week on either monday or tuesday on a near daily basis.
