July/August Commissions Open
Posted 2 months agoChanges - Digital painting commissions and Backgrounds
I’m tentatively opening more rendered digital paint commissions. I’m still figuring out how I want to do these so they’ll be a bit experimental, so please keep that in mind if you want to commission me for one. That being said, I want to do more of these!
I also want to practice my backgrounds more so I’m opening for full backgrounds again! (Digital only) Just keep in mind natural environments are what I’m better at. If I feel like the request is too overwhelming I might have to decline. Pricing will depend on complexity, and I’ve updated my site to show different options better.

New Commission Site and Portfolio
Posted 6 months agoMoved to carrd for my commission info site and my portfolio! I think it looks a bit better now.
Prices and tos are pretty much the same but I've changed the wording a bit and cleaned some elements up, so hopefully things are clearer. Commissions are still open!

February Comissions
Posted 7 months agoCommissions are open! Two slots available!
Some changes for the new year, even if you’ve commissioned me before, please check out my updated commission site: https://tashartcommissions.weebly.com/
And terms of service: https://tashartcommissions.weebly.c.....f-service.html
Bringing back digital sketches
After some more experimenting with clip studio, I’ve figured out a slightly quicker digital sketch style I’m happy with. Just note that these have more limited edits and are intended more for simple ideas and exploring concepts.
Changes to digital colour add ons.
My digital colour style has gotten a bit more detailed lately. I enjoy working that way, but it has gotten more time consuming. So, I’ve increased the price a bit, but I’m also offering a cheaper simpler watercolour-ish style if folk just want a splash of colour.
Designs and reference sheets
Honestly my favorite commissions are ones where I get to design something!
I’m offering a set of three digital concept sketches and reference sheets. I suppose I did have these on offer before, but I have more info on pricing now.

Back from Holidays
Posted 8 months agoHi!
Hope everyone had a great holiday and a Happy New Year!
I'm back home and I'm easing myself back into my usual art routine.
For the past while I've been feeling a bit disconnected from my work. I've not really felt satisfied with it and it doesn't really feel like "me" but then I'm not sure what "me" is. It's hard to put into words. Its not a big deal though, its not burnout or anything, I still want to draw. But I think I need to step back and think about the direction I want to go in, maybe spend some time doing studies of things I like, experiment, go back to traditional for a while.
I don't want this to come off as whiny cause I'm genuinely looking forward to these things! But my posting might be a bit irregular and I'll be closing commissions for a while.
Also, I got new pet rats! Four adorable boys! They are quite skittish at the moment, I only got them on Tuesday. So I'll be trying to get them used to me for a while. Maybe I'll draw them once I figure out names for them all!

If you’ve been following my recent work, you’ll have noticed I’ve made the switch to clip studio paint and I’m no longer using photoshop, due to not wanting to support adobe products anymore. It was a little rough at the start but now I’m enjoying it! If you notice a slight change in my digital work, that’s why though.
For digital options I’m changing things a bit. I’ll be dropping digital sketches, it’s been tricky to get a consistent look for faster drawings (some look good, some look awful) especially now that I’ve changed programs. I think it’s better to just to spend a bit more time making them look nice, so I’m bringing back digital pencil commissions.
Digital vs Traditional
Digital is better if you’re looking for something more specific, really want to get a design figured out or your particular about your character’s details and colours.
Traditional options are harder for me to edit (though I do offer some digital adjustments.) So, if you aren’t too focused on the details and want a physical drawing or painting feel free to choose a traditional option.
Note that I’m not as confident drawing human characters traditionally and if your character has complex colours and markings, I’d recommend a digital option.
Thanks for reading, let me know if you have any questions!

Commissions Update
Posted a year agoHi! Commissions are currently open and I'm just posting an update for my commission options.
Digital sketches are available again, though I've changed my process on them a bit. They'll be like my most recent unicorn sketches, and the recent swamp witch drawings as a stylized example.
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/55823368/
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/55800526/
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/55738900/
£60 - standard full body
£45 - standard half body
£45 - stylized full body
With colour -
£110 - standard full body
£80 - standard half body
£80 - stylized full body
Base prices. Complex characters and background elements will cost extra.
Process - 2 rounds of revisions.
Once the sketch is close to completion you'll get a chance to check the pose and proportions.
No major changes to the pose or proportions can be made after approving this stage.
Once approved, I’ll finish the drawing. Small adjustments and details can be changed at this stage.
With colour +1 round of revisions.
Once the drawing is approved I'll move onto the colour stage. On completion you will be able to check the colours and shading.
I will not edit the sketch lines once on the colour stage.
If your after something a bit more refined I've got my digital ink option. My traditional options are still open as well.
See my commission page for a full list of prices and examples. https://tashartcommissions.weebly.c.....-and-info.html
And read my full tos before ordering, thank you! https://tashartcommissions.weebly.c.....f-service.html

June/July Commissions Open
Posted 2 years agoHello everyone!
I’m open for commissions again!
2-3 slots open for now. I might close early if I get more complex commission requests.
Just a note that I’ve changed my digital drawing process so it’s a bit faster. It shouldn’t be too much of a change but the drawings might look a bit rougher. The price has been moved back to £60 (for a full body detailed drawing.)
I’m also no longer offering a discount on extra characters. Though I might make an exception if the other character is a lot smaller than the other. Since there’ll be some loss of detail.
Tentatively offering digital ink commissions again! I found a process and a brush that feels more natural for me and I like how it looks. I’ve always preferred kinda sketchy/scratchy ink drawings. For now they’re the same price as digital pencil drawings.

April Commissions Open
Posted 2 years agoI’m open for commissions!
Two slots for now. Though I might open more later.
I’ve had to tweak prices again. Just looking at the amount of time some of these take me and due to prices of everything going up in the UK. I need to get my savings back up after the move and there’s some gear I need to get.
I’ve introduced a new sketch and colour option! It’s a bit quicker and cheaper than the digital pencil and watercolour effect.
Digital paintings are tentatively open. Though they might be a bit experimental as I figure out what method/brushes etc work best for me. I’m currently working on another example.
I’m not doing traditional drawing commissions at the moment. They’re just trickier to edit for clients. Traditional watercolours are still open however! Since I can still just transfer the drawing onto watercolour paper.
See my commission site for examples, pricing and tos. Including info about process and edits, shipping etc. https://tashartcommissions.weebly.com/
Will be working on commissions from 10am to 6pm roughly. Monday to Friday.
With the exception of the 7th to the 10th of April, as I’ll be away visiting my sister then.
Feel free to ask any questions!

New Year's Plans
Posted 2 years agoHi everyone! Hope everyone is having a great New Year's Day!
Thought I’d share some art related goals and plans for this year.
For my portfolio work I want to branch out and try new things this year. Drawing objects is always something I’ve avoided but I think designing some fantasy weapons and clothing could be cool. And a way to get my stubborn ass to draw something different!
I also want to try some more simple styles. I’ve already got my stylised style but that’s still fairly detailed. So just something quick and cute, but hopefully still “me”.
I’ll be continuing getting used to digital drawing and painting and keep going with the creature and character designs. Human characters and rendering in general are things I want to improve on.
As for personal and fun stuff I’ll keep up with the traditional work in the evenings and Fridays. I was thinking of doing a set of small drawings and paintings on one theme. Just like 2-3 mini paintings per subject. Some might be fan art, or original characters/creatures. Might sell some of them if they turn out well but my main focus on these will just be for fun!

Holiday
Posted 2 years agoJust an update before I go spend the holidays with family!
Mostly moved in to the new place and managed to finish one commission! One still to go after I get back.
Might sketch a bit while I'm on break but mostly I'll be trying to relax as its been a busy month.

Moving Home! + Chair Recommendations
Posted 3 years agoHi guys, some exciting news!
Me and my boyfriend are moving! No more renting, we got our own flat!
Its also around a ten minutes walk away from our old place so we'll be able to move stuff bit by bit. I'm so excited, I can't wait to properly move in!
But that's going to be a lot of work, so things will slow down here for a while. Folk who have commissioned me already know. Plus I'm still working on one final illustration for the dragon dogs, but that's gonna take a while in between everything else!
My old chair is no longer very comfortable and I don't want to end up injuring myself. Since I'm moving, now might be the time to get a better one. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good supportive computer chair? Maybe one that's good for artists? And isn't too expensive?

November Commissions Open!
Posted 3 years agoHi everyone, my commissions are open again!
https://tashartcommissions.weebly.com/
I've had to put up my prices again because of the economic situation going on in the uk.
I've got roughly three slots open, but depending on the complexity of the commission requests I might add more slots or close early.
I've added digital paintings, reference sheets and concept sketch pages as commission options! I'd like to get more examples of more rendered digital paintings and character designs for my portfolio.
Digital inks are taking a break. They weren't the most popular option plus I want to experiment and find a more comfortable inking style for me.
Prices, instructions and tos are all on my commission page. Let me know if you have any questions!

Shop now open!
Posted 3 years agoEdit
Made a mistake! UK tracked 48 hours is only available online (and I just use my local post office) so it'll have to be signed for 1st class instead. Sorry about that! On etsy I have an upgrade for tracked special delivery if anyone particularly wants tracking.
My shop is now open!
Head on over to etsy or ko-fi if you want any charms, stickers or art prints!
Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/tashcrow
Ko-fi shop: https://ko-fi.com/tashcrow/shop
On etsy I'll just be selling to the UK, USA and Canada.
Shipping is worldwide on my ko-fi!
Ko-fi doesn't have as many variation options so you'll have to tell me what kind of charm attachment you want.
All shipping will be tracked. With the exception of stickers when posting locally in the uk, which will be sent 1st class.
I aim to pack orders on Monday and Thursday evenings and drop them off at the post office on the following morning.
I'll be slowly adding new prints. Maybe one or two a month?
Let me know if you have any questions!

Shop Re-Opening Soon
Posted 3 years agoCharms, stickers and prints available soon! Opening on Saturday.
Just a heads up I'm planning on re-opening my etsy store! I'll also be selling on ko-fi.
I'm having to make some changes though -
Charm Decorations
I'm no longer adding the little charm decorations. They were cute but it was a hassle. Plus they often get ripped off or caught in things in my experience. And to cut on costs a bit.
Shipping
All shipping will be tracked. With the exception of stickers when posting locally in the uk, which will be sent 1st class.
Sorry about this! I like being able to offer folk cheaper options but this is just safer for both the customer and me.

Might sell some originals but I'll see which store gets more traffic first.

Update and Commissions Opening Soon!
Posted 3 years agoCommissions
Hi everyone! Just a heads up, I’m going to be opening commissions on the 4th of June. This round will be human and humanoid characters only, as I’m looking to get more examples for my portfolio and commission site. By “humanoid” I mean I’m looking for characters with very human-like faces and torso’s at least. If this interests anyone, please keep a look out for my commissions post on Saturday. Happy to answer any questions in the meantime!
Commission Info: https://tashartcommissions.weebly.com/
Kofi
I’ve been updating my old ko-fi account with artwork and using it as another gallery. I’ve also made a sketchbook subscription tier. If anyone wants to see my wip's for £3 a month! Mainly pencil drawings and uncoloured inks just now.

Personal Project Plans
Unfortunately I ran out of steam for the mage character design project. It just wasn’t what I wanted and I’m not quite sure what I want for it tbh. I had other characters in mind for it but I’m having trouble feeling attached to it. I also feel a bit daft wasting the time on it, though I still learned from it. I think its best to take a break from it, let the idea develop into something I actually want to work on or think of something better for my portfolio. Still working on smaller creature design projects for fun and practice in the meantime.

Gryphon Pokemon Suggestions Twitter
Posted 3 years agoDesigning some gryphon pokemon on twitter!
Comment on this post to have your suggestion counted: https://twitter.com/tash_crow/statu.....04550392533001
How come there's no gryphon pokemon?
Lets make some!
Suggest one feline pokemon and one bird pokemon in the comments and I'll make some gryphon pokemon!
I'll be picking two or three as something fun to work on in the evenings. I'll probably be doing them in ink and watercolour. I'll keep this open for 24 hours.
Again, please comment on the twitter post not this journal! Thanks!

Redbubble Shop Open!
Posted 3 years agoI've made a redubble store! https://www.redbubble.com/people/ta.....row/shop?asc=u
If you want a print, sticker, mouse mat, coasters or more with my work on it check it out! I get a small percentage from each sale.
So far I've chosen what I think will sell better and what merch fits those works. But If there's something specific you'd like, let me know and I'll see what I can do!
No fan art or commissions though. Unless you commissioned the work.
If anyone is wondering about my etsy, the truth is I don't really have time for it just now. They also recently raised the transaction fees, so that helped my decision along!
I want to focus on portfolio and commission work for a while, so selling my own physical products will have to wait for now.
I might go back to it in the future. It wasn't a big income but it was rewarding in other ways! And making products was really fun. I'll probably sell on kofi instead and at a smaller scale next time though.

March - April Commissions Open!
Posted 3 years agoHi everyone! Commissions are open again!
3 slots open for now.
Will try to get them done within a month or two depending how complex they are. Let me know if there is any deadline needed for your commission and I’ll see what I can do.
Examples, prices and all other info are on my commission site: https://tashartcommissions.weebly.com/
Even if you’ve commissioned me before you should have another read as I’ve made changes to the pricing, tos and added more commission types.
Since I’ve gotten more confident with digital art again, I’ve added digital commission options! Digital pencil drawings and inks with colour options for both.
I’ve still got traditional pencil and watercolours up and I’m more than happy to work traditionally! But keep in mind these have some restrictions for edits.
I’ll be working Monday to Friday on commissions, from 9.30am to 4.30pm with a break on Wednesday mornings.
Happy to answer any questions!

Happy New Year 2022
Posted 3 years agoHi guys! Thought I'd give a life update and plans since its New Years!
Since getting my first real art job in August my life has changed a lot, mostly for the better!
I can't talk about it too much but I've learned a lot, broken out of some comfort zones and just really got some insight into animation production. Mainly doing character designs but I've gotten the opportunity to try some other things too!
The pay is pretty good too! I've upgraded some of my tech, got a new cintiq! And for the first time in my life I have some decent savings. I'm extremely lucky and I'm glad I didn't give up.
Trying to balance personal art, errands, exercise, being social and just going outside has been kinda tricky, though. Glad to have gotten some rest during the holidays!
My contract has been extended till February, no idea if it will be extended again or not.
While I'm still working on this contract I'll be making time for personal work now and then. If you've seen my recent uploads you'll know I've been experimenting with digital work again. Working on this contract made me realize digital isn't so bad and it certainly has its advantages for freelance work. So I'll keep experimenting with it.
Don't worry, I won't forget my paints and pencils though! I got some nice new watercolours and coloured pencils from my boyfriend this Christmas so I'm sure I'll find the time to give those a try! I'll be trying to keep a balance between digital and traditional.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CYMlwmtox11/
Here's a wip of a digital sketching experiment. Not sure if I'll ink him or just refine the drawing so it looks more "pencily"
After this contract I've got some plans. I've certainly got a confidence boost from this job so I'll be looking for more freelance jobs! I might already have something lined up, we'll see.
And I'll be focusing on character and creature design for my updated portfolio. Model sheets especially, since that was what got me this current work. Fantasy illustrations are also something a want to work on.
Commissions might open again when things aren't so busy!
All in all my life is better despite covid. Still really lucky I've avoided it so far - keep being careful folks its not over yet! I know its not been the same for a lot of people, and I hope things are better for you in 2022!!
