I want to do a quick poll, to get an understanding
Posted a year agoI am thinking about changing my charging plan. No longer hours based. But that raises a question, that i need your guys help with.
The point of this change is that it will take a lot of pressure off of me, and i might become more productive. My SubscribeStar already proves that a non hour based charging method is far better
Pick any piece of art ive made, or multiple if you feel like a hardworker today and rate them by what you think its worth (in the market, not what i charged). Leave a comment with a link and under it a cost. It can be as approximate as you want, afterall you dont need to respond to this journal in the first place
If you chose to help me out, thank you~
And if not... wish you a good day anyway~

Tracing, referencing my art

- Give me due credit
Then go for it

Commission info [NSFW]
Posted 2 years agoIf you are interested in commissioning me, this is what you can expect:
- High levels of communication with you during the process
- Lots of effort to make sure your character/s are the way you like them
- Unlimited changes, tweaks (as long as the timer is running)
- Relatively high price, i charge 8 Eur per hour, vaguely expect 100 Eur final price (if it takes about 12 hours to make, which is average. Btw, i leave time taken in a corner of my submissions, so you can check what you can expect)
- Ref sheets, comics and whatever other type, is same cost, becouse it all depends on how long it takes to make
- Usually slow. You will need patience with me
- Will take forever to your slot. Talking about a year at least. I cant satisfy spontaneous wishes...
My specialties:
- Hermaphrodites
- Fantasy incest (fem characters)
- Public lewdness (hiding and showing off)
- Slim bodies and more realistic proportions, only a little above normal
- Large amounts of cum
I will not draw some things (ask me if unsure):
- Gore, vore, scat, and similar
- Anal (maybe unless its DP)
- Male/male
- Highly unrealistic proportions (except up to a certain size of hyper genitals)
- Some other things i probably forgot to mention, ultimately ill let you know if your idea is not okay for me
How it works:
1. Contact me
2. I will give you a slot (Its free and no limit to my queue yet)
3. Time comes and i will ask you what your idea is (can help you with it)
- If you dont have an idea or money i will put the slot into a 'paused' queue, not delete it. Once you have both, and i finish the current commission i will resume your slot.
4. I work on your com, with hopefully as much input from you as possible (if you want you can stop the com short to save money, best to let me know beforehand)
5. Charge you and give you the full res. If you want, source file too.

Ive deleted a couple posts
Posted 2 years agoSince there was an update on the policies regarding explicit content including younger/minor characters, i went over my gallery and picked a few posts that would not be allowed and deleted them.
In case you see any more that may be questionable let me know ( keep in mind that characters in my art style look young, but they are intended to be 18 years old or older )
If you want to see the deleted posts, or just all of them, go visit my IB: https://inkbunny.net/GreyCore

Shout out to my friend
Posted 2 years agoTwitter: rimaurm
Said friend is Rimau, ive helped him to get into art, but got to say, he's been doing most of the work himself, and has been improving massively. Id say he is definetely worth to look into since he opened coms recently, and seems to be someone who cares about doing the job well. Told him all about how important it is to keep in contact with his commissioners, and he knows it well. He doesnt have much posted yet, but i think that could and should change~

How to start in art and why practice is the last step
Posted 3 years agoSo, i've been teaching a few people how to do art. More or less beginners. I got a few tips for anyone else who has the time and wants to make art. Doesn't even matter what kind. This should work anyway:
Edit [2023 05 31]:
Dopamine detox: Seems that dopamine is more important than we give it credit. If you can increase your dopamine receptivity, you can do more difficult tasks, including art.
How to do that? - decrease the amount of pleasure you put yourself through. Less video watching, less gaming, dont watch videos while eating, dont browse while using bathroom, ironically (i mean im saying that here), less porn watching, less masturbation, most definitely avoid combining pleasures. Basically - be bored, let yourself be bored, and when it happens its good. Just make sure - dont torture yourself, that will also work, but its needless stress. You want to achieve neutrality, less entertainment, not more suffering. Besides torturing yourself will make it more difficult to resist all sorts of pleasures.
What to expect? - for me, the same day i did it, i didnt watch videos before all the work i wanted to do, so only in the evening, i applied all the things i just recommended and i already could make myself work. Usually it takes so much forcing it can cause a burn out, but that day it was easy. For me, the effect was instant, but i feel another, slower effect, that makes me more relaxed, and just feeling better. Slower i mean that its increasing very slowly
You must not get into pleasures before work! That makes you immediately less receptible to dopamine, and it gets way harder to do otherwise unpleasant tasks. You should reward yourself FOR working.
Lower your expectations. When you start, why do you? Its likely becouse you looked at peoples art and you decide 'i want to do that too' If you are thinking realistically, you'll say that you will take a long time to get there, so you should expect to be able to do a 100th of that. That is wrong. You will be able to do a 1000th at best. Lower your current goal. Draw very low level things, expect them to look nothing like the art that inspired you. When you start you really do start from 0. Imagine the worst art you've seen. Expect that. Its better to be surprised that its better, or that your expectations are met, rather than be frustrated that its not even close to what you want it to be. However, that wont work unless you still have fun.
Have fun. Seems obvious but its a skill of its own. How does one have fun while doing art? And isn't it different for everybody? Well, the second question says that the first can only be answered by you. Keep your expectations low for figuring that answer too. My advice is - low effort, high reward, aka, doodling.
Doodle, but follow a few rules - Don't ever, ever, over-detail a doodle. Don't work on it much. The lines or whatever should be rough, and if you feel frustrated with it, you don't see any easy way to progress, put that one aside, start a new one. They are meant to never be finished. Don't work on it more than an hour. Use low resolution, talking about 1k by 1k at most. In that resolution you wont be able to do much detail. You are supposed to materialize your ideas in a very rough way and keep thinking of them. And at some point you will notice that you end up spending hours upon hours on a doodle, and art will happen spontaneously.
Idea making is also a skill. Nothing in art is given to you from birth, except maybe good eye sight, and lower energy levels. But even then, if you want to do it, you can. Or rather, you are the only one who can decide whether it can or not be done. Anyway, said skill of idea making will start off from 0. So ill give you a hint. In case you draw NSFW like me, write down a list of things you're into, and try to think of a situation where a scene includes multiple. The more limitations ( in this case its your fetishes ), the easier it is to decide what you want it to be. When its super open ended, its way harder.
Make it simpler for yourself, start with orthogonal view, draw characters in simple poses, maybe one character at a time. Use plenty of references. Trace it, becouse looking over it and drawing over it will make you discover very different things. However, don't post traced art, that is very scummy, do it only for learning purposes.
Tools are important, but not as much as you think. You can draw with a professional tablet with a screen that costs multiple thousands of euros. You can draw with an hb (medium softness) pencil on printing paper ( that is how i started ), and take photos if you want to upload. It takes time to master either, and both can produce amazing results. Sure, if you know how to use the tablet, and software, it will be easier, but it has its own drawbacks. It is complex and over-complicated compared to pencil and paper, and ultra expensive. You could also aim for an in between option - and use a cheap screen-less graphic tablet. Either on PC or phone (tried it, its a little wonky, but really cheap for the benefits). Now if you want to actually get something, i have few recommendations:
-> https://www.storexppen.com/buy/artist-12-pro.html <- Its super cheap in comparison, ~200 Eur. Ive been using XP-Pen and i have few complains. For the price, its definitely a good pick. (now would be a good time to get sponsored by XP-Pen... )
-> https://www.storexppen.com/buy/deco-m.html <- really cheap, and it even gets cheaper. If you're using it with your phone can only draw vertically, but you get most benefits from PC digital art ( works with IbisXPaint app )
I tried them both.
And if you are going to use PC, Krita is a good option. Has what you need, is free, just has bad blur options and may benefit from optimizing some of the cool features it has like clone layers and transform masks.
By the way, noticed how i didn't use the word 'practice' the whole time? Let me be a bit salty here. A good artist is not necessarily a good teacher. In fact, in most cases, they are really bad at it. Not saying that i'm good at it, but i'm good enough to tell you that practice is not the first step to art. Its the LAST. Once you lower your expectations, set you mind to learning how to have fun all while doodling and making it easy for yourself, have your tools ready and dedicate some time to it, that is when you start drawing. And practice is the result, of doing all of this successfully.
Need be, ask me for advice, even if you don't know what is wrong ( ill be able to tell ). I mean i'm already teaching people, and i enjoy it. Also, comment if you got any more questions

Moving
Posted 3 years agoNormally that would mean a lot more than what is my case. Im just moving to a friend, taking the necessary things and then making myself at home there. However the bigger thing is that i will have the option to start doing art seriously. I will start trying to work 3 hours a day, next ill try to do that twice a day, and if things go well, if i see that i can, ill try drawing 8 hours a day. Basically making this a full time job.
Sounds hard, but also exciting. However i dont want to raise many hopes, since im not a productive person. Those are my goals, but not results. Not yet at least. Ive struggled before, but never had the option to fully focus on art. It was always a side thing. Wish me luck, if ill succeed, ill finally be able to start clearing out my kilometer long queue and be an actual artist

You might want to know
Posted 3 years agoIve been working at a job for the past two months. That really really got in the way of my arts as you have noticed. Ive been working o arts a bit, but ive decided to make a pretty big change in my life. I was given a kind offer to move in with someone and they might potentially be a way to let me do arts as a job. That, however will not be easy to do, gotta quit my current job, which i cant wait for, but then there will be lots of documents to take care of what im not very good at, plus work at home. So i might be just as busy for a while still. But progressing towards a dream of mine.
Maybe relevant artist advice?
Posted 3 years agoSo, its been quite a few times this has happened. I do my best to make the best art i can for my commissioners. That means that i cook up the best idea i can and then proceed to give it justice with the best execution i can muster. One problem though - im not a machine, im a lazy human being. The idea that i come up with ends up being pretty damn difficult to pull off with lots of effort required and doesnt feel that rewarding to me. So, the advice is, if you find yourself procrastinating on your commissions, or just general drawings, there is a big chance that you have set a goal that is way more than you should have gone for. I hate backgrounds, especially when i need to detail them, yet, two commissions im working on have backgrounds with high detail required in them... and guess what, im procrastinating on them. I will be thinking of simpler, more efficient ideas from this point on i think. You might want to try for that too...
Also, as a result of this - i keep making and posting other, lower effort art in the mean time, which probably doesnt feel the best for the commissioners. Sorry about that...

So ive discovered something interesting
Posted 3 years agoMy drawing productivity is far from good. But what ive noticed is that when someone joins me in drawing, it becomes much easier. It can be something as simple as me and the other person drawing our own stuff in a voice call and we can see each others drawings. Doing it alone is pretty bad. I even dread drawing sometimes, especially when im tired. My motivation is non-existent. But when i draw with someone else, its as if, i am given motivation, or i just dont need it anymore. I was wondering - have you experienced anything like that? Do you know why that happens?
Need your advice
Posted 3 years agoHi. Lately ive been uploading more arts and ive realized that ive lost grip on what people like. If i even had any in the first place... The thing is that i will upload a piece that i think is pretty average, but it will be really liked by people, and on another occasion i will upload something i really like, had fun making, but nobody cares about it. I want to enjoy what i do more and part of that is to make sure that you guys enjoy it. So the question is this: Why and how are the most popular pieces made by me better than the rest of my art? Or just give me advice on what makes a piece good and enjoyable. Ive still got so much to learn...
Thank you~
Thank you~

I am back to streaming. New PC, so quality is excellent. I will be streaming randomly, but if youre interested despite it - go give me a follow there and you will get notified, just dont forget to enable notifications or add your email.
I will mostly work on coms there and will spend 2 hours minimum, though not every day. Depends on how ill feel.
My timezone is GMT+2 and i normally draw past noon, might even draw in the evening. For your convenience: https://time.is/GMT+2

Posted 4 years agoSo, at this point ive got 15 slots taken up. Im working very slowly, and that number just keeps going up. As you might imagine that has a toll on my mental state. I keep seeing 15 people who i disapoint. Of course all the people are incredibly patient and cool about it, but that is how i feel nonetheless. For starters i will set a limit of 10. The 15 slots wont disapear of course, i just wont accept any new coms until there are only 9 slots occupied. Apologies for anyone who will try to get a slot before that.
Those who left my SS
Posted 4 years agoIve tracked the money given and some of you have hours left. If you ask me i can tell you how much. These hours can be used to cover for coms fyi.
I wouldnt feel too great about myself if i took your money and did nothing in return. And even though i cant promise it will be soon that i return the value, at least i can promise that i will if you use it.
Thank you for supporting me~

Timelapses will be your choice from now on
Posted 4 years agoShould have thought about this sooner - it should be your choice.
Not many people care about them, and they can be a nuisance to record, especially when i do most work on streams, and when sreaming, due to a fishy setup, i cant record a timelapse and stream at the same time.
So, once i will make a com info sheet, i will have this written there. It will be an option that wont change the price. It will only mean i wont be able to stream making it.
And with this journal i will not start recording any new timelapses, just finish the ones ive started.

Posted 4 years agoFor the time being i will close commissions and trades. Need to do all the things in my queue. I never thought this could happen, but it just did. Ive got at least 13 pieces ive got to work on.
Timelapses!
Posted 4 years agoMost if not all of my commissions will have timelapses attached to them, so just a heads up if that interests you.
Just attached the first one. A little late, but better that i didnt forget it entirelly...

Timelapses
Posted 4 years agoRecently ive been trying to always film a timelapse of my drawing process. Ive already got a few filmed. There are gaps, but that was due to my or my computers errors, but im getting better at it. One way or another, in the future, if all goes well, i should have fully timelapsed every drawing. I could just simply upload them here, but ive got an idea, so i want to hear your opinions about it - Should i upload the timelapses here and on SS, or just SS as a perk?
SubscribeStar 2nd tier is a good choice?
Posted 5 years agoNot long ago i spoke with a person about my SubscribeStar and the tiers ive got - The first tier gives access to discord where ive got a ton of basic perks. And its really cheap - 2 bucks a month.
I thought that the 2nd tier was overkill. 15 bucks for just a single extra perk. However, that person said to me that my price is even low for the perk i give. If youre curious - I let people from that tier to request sketches not limited to what i like, so you can request anything, and not limited to the amount, only limited in complexity - up to 3 characters.
What do you think? Is 15 bucks a month worth it?
