Working on something big...
Posted 5 years agoI've wanted to write a long-form story that spans several installments for a while now. I tried to do it with Karlott, but after a lot of issues with writing and my computer, I ended up scrapping that story, and recycling the characters into other works. Max Carrison, for example, is my personal OC, the guy in my profile pic, and I could never get rid of him just like that. So, I've repurposed his character, and made a few tweaks. Max is now Bisexual, like myself, and in my main canon, has been dating Mabel Cross, my other OC, since his college days.
I've also wanted to take Markus, from The Accursed Doughnuts, and rework him into more stories. He'll be showing up in individual stories by himself, as well as the big storyline I'm trying to write. Sadly, I don't think Erik is coming from Karlott to the new stories, at least not now, anyways. I liked his and Max's relationship, but it just wouldn't work out the same way in my new canon.
Anyways, I'm making this journal as a little teaser for this story, as its definitely going to be several chapters long, maybe even novel-length in the end. I haven't written much of it, but I know what I want to make it into. So, without further ado, I introduce you to my brand-new project: Joining The Party!
Synopsis: Max has agreed to being roommates with his childhood friend, Loki, but he wasn't told that there would also be four other furs staying with them. His new roommates seem very chill and laid back for now, but as he lives with them and gets to know them better, He'll soon learn that all of them have their own personal sins and vices that they like to partake in. Now, Max has to survive a whole four years with these people, and get his schoolwork done at the same time. Can he do it? Or will he call it quits and leave?
Characters:
-Max: A shy, introverted corgi, with a stockier, bottom heavy build. His most notable features are his permanently blue hair and his affinity for magic. Knowing this, several of his roommates beg him to give them magic solutions to their problems, and eager to not upset them, Max reluctantly agrees, to mixed results. He's studying Magic as a Major, and Acting as a Minor
-Loki: An outgoing, friendly fox and Max's oldest friend. Tall and athletic, Loki is always the one to kickstart social interactions between Max and potential friends. he admires Max's intelligence and skill in magic, maybe to a much higher extent than he should. He likes to spend time with people, and gets upset when he doesn't do so for a while. he studies Teaching as a Major and Childcare as a Minor
-Markus: A stocky, muscular, but kind and friendly grizzly. He's eager to be friends with Max, much to Max's chagrin. The fuzzball loves baking treats for his friends, and also loves the positive feedback from said friends. He is usually a sweetheart, and it takes a lot to work him up, but when he is worked up, the person responsible can expect a painful fate. He studies Culinary Arts as a Major and Restaurant Management as a Minor.
-Clyde: A chubby blue jay who is indifferent to most situations. You usually can't pull him away from his tasks, whether that's a video game session, a study session, or his actual job. While on the outside, he seems plain and uninteresting, he had a darker, kinkier side that he tends to not talk about, unless its on private messaging servers. He's studying Political Science as a Major and Computer Science as a Minor
-Cameron: An obese arctic fox, and active gainer. He's an intelligent fur, not only knowing a lot of information, but also being clever and quick-witted. He's very shy, however, and only does so when with close friends, or if the situation is a bit too tense for his liking. He's currently dating Dante, who actively encourages his studies and his weight gain. His Major and Minor are unclear, as his schedule consists of several different classes in several different areas, but he seems to be able to balance it all.
-Dante: A buff, muscular stallion and Cameron's feeder/encourager. For the most part, Dante fits the bill of the stereotypical Jock. However, after dating Cameron for a few years, he's been introduced to several new pastimes he quite enjoys, such as role-playing games and reading. He is unsure what his Major and Minor are, as he was more focused on playing Football for the college team, but he keeps up in the classes he's enrolled in, thanks to Cameron's help.
For now, this is going to be a linear story, told over the four years of Max's college career. It will tell the story of how Max managed to become less sky and introverted, and learned about his own sexuality and interests, through the help of his peers. I hope you guys end up enjoying this new story, when it comes out, and I hope that I can meet your expectations.

Shinies Enabled...?
Posted 6 years agoSo, I've seen some people I've been following make announcements about enabling Shinies. I dunno if it's a bit presumptuous of my to do that, but I'mma do it anyway.
What are Shinies? I don't really know. From what I do know, they're $5 notes that you can send to your favorite artists to support them. I guess they're a response to sites like Ko/Fi and Patreon cracking down on NSWF/Furry artists, but I'm not certain.
How do they work? Basically, you can pay $5, or the equivalent in your currency, and send it to your Artists, with a note attached if you so want one.
Why send one? For a majority of artists, it's hard or even impossible to make money off of their art, unless they have these programs like these or have a full-time job in tandem with their art.
Do you have to do this? Absolutely not. This is of your own volition, and in truth, you don't need to if you don't want to.
What do you get in return? Depends on the artist you send one to. I, personally, will give you a personal thank-you, and if you so wish, a sketch/short story.

My Next Few Stories
Posted 6 years agoHello, dear friends! Your favorite magical Corgi is currently working on a ton of stories, and that might take a while. I tend to spread my focus out amongst the stories instead of focusing on a single story at a time. So, for the time being, here are the stories I'm currently working on, in order of progress/completion level, and will most likely be coming out sometime in the future. Consider this a May Writing Direct Connect or something.
Boys of Karlott: Dragon's Gut The second installment of the Boys of Karlott series, Maxwell Carrison begins his secret plan to "help" the good folks of Karlott, and maybe the world, one day. First up on his list, a shy, nervous dragon named Jordyn. During his final football game of the season, Max slips him a potion that should cure his shyness and give him an energy boost. However, when the broken English of his spellbook misinforms max of the potion's true nature, it may fill Jordyn with more than energy.
Boys of Karlott: Harley's Bimbofication Max takes his magic to the next level in the third segment of the Boys of Karlott series, when he finds a magic wand to take his magic to farther places. He tests his wand out by uses a Feminine Figure spell on a local thrift store cashier. THe next day, he's almost horrified to find that this spell turned the bright, young fennec into a brainless bimbo, only thinking about sex and guys.
Accursed Doughnuts 2: Customer Satisfaction Fan-requested, the second part to the Accursed Doughnuts series follows certain people as they go about their lives, each one affected in some way by the Sweet Tooth Cafe. Such people include: A thin bunny trying out Sweet Tooth for the first time, a heavily obese bull, soon to be bedridden, and an employee at Sweet Tooth that gets a bit too curious as to how the doughnuts are made.
The Fox and The Bull Fat and nerdy arctic fox Cameron Hyles and buff jock-type bull Dante Lyman are paired up by the school to help each other. Bouncing between tutoring sessions and gym training, the two learn more about themselves and each other than they ever would. Maybe even more than they'd want to.
Vitali and the Three Wishes Part one in a planned three-part series, scrappy tomb raider Vitali Donasa finds a treasure she's been searching for: an ancient Genie lamp. When learning of the restrictions and benefits of the Genie's powers, she makes her first big wish: The power of shapeshifting. And, of course, she does what any horny fur would do: sex, sex, and more sex, eventually with the Genie itself.
Clawhauser's Raffle Prize When the ZPD is putting on a Benefit Concert with bombshell popstar Gazelle, Benjamin Clawhauser is desperate to win an exclusive backstage pass. However, when he wins the pass, he realizes Gazelle had far more than just a simple meet-n-greet planned for the obese stud of a cat.
Toriel's Mighty Moment A generic Toriel X Human story, with the basic plot yet to be determined. I plan on it evolving into a WG/Inflation sort of deal, with the existence of magic in the Undertale Universe.
Welcome to Animopolis This one's a tad iffy, as I haven't written much beyond the title. The basic premise is describing the life of ANthros, which are creatures that can magically shift between Human, animamorphic, and fully animal. Also, whenever they 'die', they magically go back to their beds like nothing happened, maybe retaining a few small scars. The actual plot isn't even close to being done, but it will be the overarching universe and rules that all my stories fit into, maintaining those basic rules and structure.
That wraps this month's Direct Connect up :P. I'll do these things monthly, starting next month on June 2nd (I have a huge thing going on the 1st). Check back regularly for new stories in the works.
