Sorry if I have been slow with anything online, be it with posting/uploading, responding to notes, or responding to comments. A lot of stuff to do on and off the internet and still waiting for my jury duty excusal request to be responded to (It's been 4 days, today would be nice. -_-) Once 4th of July passes I should have some more free time on my hands to make some new content for posting.

Well it's officially summer time here, and with it, comes the three hottest months of the year. Guess I can kiss consistent and comfortable yard work goodbye until Fall, huh? Hehehe. At least the shed roof got repaired before the worst of the heat began to arrive so I guess there's that.

Hey. Been almost a week since my last post. Still recovering-ish from the sheer amount of work last week with the shed roof repair and the constant rain shower make me pretty tired and low energy, to which some of you already know that from conversations in Discord and FA notes. Couple of extra things have popped up during this week so I'll give a numbered list of updates in regards to things that have happened, things happening, and things that will happen in the future.

1. Shed roof is cleaned off and replaced. No more rotting wood. Feels so good to have change and truly legitimate progress at my late-grandparent's house. There's still more stuff to do, but for now, a new roof was the most important.

2. Rain showers. The constant rain almost every day is sucking my energy. Sure it's nice sleeping up to 12 hours...but I want to get stuff done but can't. >~< A good thunderstorm just puts me to sleep! So sorry about a lack of art uploads. I wanted to do a model or two within the last couple of days but, man. Just been too lethargic.

3. Mom's foot surgery. Now there isn't a specific date for this yet, but all I know is it's some time during the Summer. More details in regards to this will be added when they occur. Mentioning this since I'm trying to help my mom lose some weight too so she can actually walk more properly and better. One of her biggest fears is falling. This stuff may or may not affect my ability to do stuff online for a time.

4. Jury Duty. Yep. I got selected for Jury Duty for July 21st (7/21). Still a whole month away but jury duty isn't entirely my favorite pastime. Nevertheless, will see what happens and how things go or if the case, what ever it may be, gets resolved before that date. Need to find my 'nice clothes' for that though, now that I think about it...

Happy Father's Day everyone! To all the hardworking dads out there, I hope you enjoy this special day today!

Just got home from dinner with my family, dad wanted to go Buffalo's Reef here in town. Food was surprisingly good! At least compared to the past couple of times we went. Food wasn't overdone and fried to absolute hell. Wait time was a bit long, but it was pretty packed! Guess we weren't the only ones with the idea to go there for a Father's Day dinner.

Ugh. Sorry for any lack of conversation or overall posts this week. It's been very busy. The heat and humidity are cranking up down here and the entire week was spent fixing the fence gate and completely redoing the work shed awning/roof. Goodbye rotted wood, hello new metal! God it's so amazing. Bit-by-bit, order is gradually restored. Hope everyone had a good week though!

Well, the Switch 2 dropped yesterday! And Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4 are also out. I don't have either, but to those of you that have one (or both), how is it? Are you enjoying Deltarune? Are you having fun with the Switch 2? Let me know! I'm curious as to everyone's thoughts about the latest console and game releases.

Speaking of Switch 2, I've heard pretty good things about the Scarlet/Violet update on that console. 55-60 FPS and no more intense lag spikes in areas such as Casseroya Lake and the Coastal Biome? No more lag when it's raining anywhere in general? I gotta say, might give me incentive to actually go back to Casseroya Lake, haha. I always avoided that area of the game. Not because of Veluza, but because it's just so painfully slow.

Hey did anyone else see that 'pink moon' last night? I saw it, though it wasn't really all -that- 'pink'. Bright and beautiful though. Apparently it signifies the spring season or something like that. Still! It was a gorgeous sight in the clear night sky.

Anyone out there play Stronghold Crusader? If so, are you equally as hyped as I am for the Definitive Edition coming out in July? I literally grew up with SHC as a kid and seeing it get its rightfully-earned and deserved remaster, along with 8 new units and 4 new AI lords is legitimately a dream come true.

The 20th is here, which means one thing- Spring time! The Vernal Equinox officially began today. The chill of winter recedes as the steady warmth of the new season ushers in a hopefully pleasant season for everyone!

For those that were curious about my garden that I mentioned earlier, I am happy to say that things are going well! The beans and peas have sprouted, and the tomatoes and strawberries took to their new transplanted homes nicely. Tomatoes are also growing in my indoor planter and in my miniature outdoor greenhouse. The indoor planter has 11 out of 12 seeds that sprouted, and the outdoor greenhouse has 9 out of 14 seeds that have sprouted. Not too bad, considering these were older seeds and not newer ones.

But enough about me. Any plans for the Spring season?

Wow. Hard to believe about 2 weeks ago, the south got hit with one of the biggest, 'once-in-a-generation' snow flurries ever, and now we're already back up to 60s-70s temperature, hahaha, and Winter's not over yet! Vernal Equinox doesn't start until the 20th of March! I digress though, the warm temperature has not only made yard work pleasant, but I can plant my garden now substantially earlier than anticipated! What's better, the robins have returned to the Florida panhandle, heralding the sign of warmer temperatures. Honestly one of my favorite bird species. So beautiful!

Although it's only 12:44 PM at the time of me posting this journal, I still nevertheless want to wish everyone a Happy New Year. We bring 2024 to a close with a bit of good and a bit of bad, as is the case every year of course. One's definition of 'good' and 'bad' is debatable of course and highly-varied, so let's not argue that here please. The point is, there is always good in every year no matter what happens. There's always friends that you have, friends you'll make, and things you cherish around you and stuff you enjoy doing. I'm actually very excited to be going into 2025 very soon, although reason for said excitement is gonna have to initially wait, haha. Cleared out the area behind my shed for gardening but not really gonna be able to plant until late-February or March after the winter freeze is over. Gonna start getting cold (as far as the South goes at least) once January kicks around. I guess that's my 'New Years Resolution', to make that gardening space work. Considering I spent about 2-3 months clearing all that out, clearing off the fence and uprooting weeds and saplings. Bleh, but enough of my rambling. Is there anything in particular you're all excited for next year? Any big plans or desires or wishes?

I'm sure by now that all of you, or at least most of you, have already exchanged lots of fun and amazing gifts with your families and loved ones! So! With that said, and judging by my journal's obvious title, what was everyone's favorite gift received this year?

I'll go first- I got a card box that can hold up to an apparent whopping 3,200 trading cards! Perfect for organizing my Pokemon card collection! Oh yeah, I totally collect Pokemon cards. Have for a long time! And speaking of cards, one of the random card packs I got had a holographic Hisuian Zoroark V card inside of it. <3 Definitely my all-time favorite card now.

Hello everyone, I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Christmas Eve and tomorrow, Christmas Day with their friends, loved ones and family members alike. Take this time to not only celebrate gifts and company with those close to you, but to also look back on the start of this year up to this point, for Christmas heralds the ending of this year, 2024, for 2025 will soon be upon us. Let us head into the next year with a positive attitude and see what comes in store for us all, good and bad alike. I genuinely hope everyone has a good one, whether you actively celebrate Christmas or not.

October 14th is the day I officially make another full-orbit around our solar system's sun. Which means it's my birthday today! I wanna thank everyone on Discord and a few on FA that already gave me birthday wishes, and thank the handful that sent gift art for my birthday. <3 I appreciate all of you guys so much! Well, it's September 22nd. It's officially the first day of Autumn! And quite frankly, it's been a long three months of Summer, urgh. It'll be nice to actually go outside when the temperature finally drops below 70 for a change coming up next month especially. Personally? This is my favorite season. Not too hot, and not too cold either. Just perfect right down the middle! It's also the season of my birthday, which is on October 14th next month! My birthday falls on a Monday this year, it seems.

But, more on that when it's actually October, heh. For now everyone, have a great start to Autumn, and a safe rest of September!

Also, I know a while back I said I was getting into SFM, but unfortunately, it's not something I have a lot of time to use. It was worth a shot and was interesting to play with, but I just don't have excessive time in the day for that. Heroforge is just more convenient and 'readily-available' for me, I guess is the term. I apologize for any inconveniences this might've caused.

Well, it's the 20th of June. The official first day of Summer in the Northern Hemisphere. Know what that means right? Beach weather! Also very, very warm weather. Stay safe, stay hydrated and use sunscreen if you're going out for extended periods of time! Getting sunburned is such a bitch and terrible pain. Seriously where I live we've already gotten 90+ Fahrenheit weather even before Summer officially began. But, South hot huh? Heh.

Also, semi-considering opening up Heroforge requests or trades again. I had such a fun time doing the last request I did for a really good friend of mine, that I do sorta feel like spreading the love around a bit more this Summer. Would anyone be interested maybe? However, I really only do best on Heroforge with felines and canines so don't expect anything 'super crazy' or whatnot.
