I have been warned.
Posted a week ago"Keywords, Ratings, Categories, Themes, and Species are used to define images as they appear in Fur Affinity's search engine. Abuse of these (misleading, inaccurate, or false) is not allowed. This does not apply to the Gender section. Submission file type should correspond to submission type. Intentionally listing inaccurate keywords in the description is not allowed.
This is a Warning Notice (1st Level Offense).
Please note that repeated violations of site rules may result in further administrative action, such as a suspension of your account. Content uploaded before administrative action was taken is not exempt from further administrative action. As such please take this opportunity to review your account to ensure your content is in compliance with site policies."
For the 18 years I've been here, we seemed to get by just fine without keywords being mandatory.
I refuse to jump through hoops.
I'm tired.
I'm tired of petty, bureaucratic, oft arbitrary bullsh*t, eating away at my time, be it seconds or hours.
I'm tired of the ensh*tification of systems, changed only for the sake of change.
If they need to suspend me because I'm not dotting an "I" or crossing a "T"; I won't rail against it. I've never provided any kind of support to the platform, so I don't feel I have any right to bitch about how it's administrated.
I'll accept whatever punishment they feel I deserve for the heinous crime of typing "Three Mandatory Keywords".
EDIT:
I won't bow to a platform, but I'll certainly bow to my audience. If you all think I'm being a moron, here; I'll shut the hell up.
EDIT EDIT:
General consensus seems to be; I'm being a moron.... and have terrible spelling.
Not sure which is the greater embarresment..... embaracement..... em......
...... sh*t.

Beware of scams.
Posted 7 months agoI've heard there's someone trying to use my name to con people.
In the (very slim) chance that I've taken on a commission, I do not ask for money up front. I operate under this crazy belief that a person should not be paid until they've done the work.
Do not send money to unverified parties.

Patreon Sketchbook
Posted 10 years agoAfter much fretting over the potential ramifications of making use of the Patreon service, I have decided: f**k it. I'm going ahead with my plans.
Might be a mistake, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.....and then jump off to make a daring river-escape should things go south.
Assuming I haven't ballsed anything up (I'm new to using Patreon), my page can now be found here: https://www.patreon.com/jollyjack
Content is much the same as you'd find in the "Beasts and Babes sketchbooks" that have appeared in the Apsara Portfolio previously, so if you've no interest in that kind of material, save your time and coin and don't bother with it.
I'll be adding a new sketch roughly every day, along with sneak peeks at new Apsara comics that I'm working on.
Nothing will be 100% exclusive to Patreon, it will just show up there first. Eventually all content will become available via the channels I usually use, so don't get in a twist if you don't want to use that service.

A note on (potential) comic commission requests.
Posted 13 years agoThanks to a few recent commissions being posted here on FA, I’ve had a few queries regarding comic commissions.
I do take them on, but there’s something you should note; Comics take a while to put together, longer than an average pin-up. As such, they carry a higher price tag. If they didn't, it wouldn't be a financially viable enterprise for me and if I accepted them, I’d very quickly find myself living under a bridge, eating gravel for sustenance.
Do keep that in mind when sending a note asking if I can draw you a multi-page comic….
….you might find the estimate scary.

Yes; I am THAT JollyJack.
Posted 14 years agoI get asked a lot if I have an FA account, or if this is the FA account of the guy that draws the Sequential Art webcomic (and assorted smut).
Yes, I do.
Yes, it is.
Yes, I am.
I don't really see the point in uploading my work in multiple locations, though, so with DeviantArt being my main haunt; I just don't use it.
