Moving accounts, that is!

(EDIT: Okay, I made the new account, it's more or less set up, i'll be announcing officially later on! Virensere )

First of all huge thanks to all these new watchers!! And of course to the old ones too. I know i'm not the most good at communication here, but ya'll are super great and i'm very stoked to see people are interested in my artss!

But in the topic of moving, I've been more and more considering changing accounts. Why? Mostly just the username, really. Kacha was just a desperation pick when my old username was already taken. I haven't used it ever since i was a teeny child, so I feel like it disconnects from my artistic online identity -orwhatevericancallthat-, especially now that ya'll are popping by more and more, it just creates a lot of confusion.
I've been using Virensere everywhere else for a solid 3 years now (literally, i changed from Dragoono to that in November) and while sometimes I'm doubtful, at most i'm rather happy with Viren. The -sere is mostly just a filler.
At this point i'm more keen on it implying on Viren 's 'ere.
...get it? Heheh i am tired.

But yeah! Enough me rambling, What do you think?
I think it could be somewhat nice and refreshing, although a bit creepy.

Hey guys, so it's been a bit of a while, I believe. It's been pretty busy. I'm personally not used to this sort of strain, so I don't do much in the sense of art sites other than checking if i've got any messages.
To those who don't know, I got into the Art Academy of Latvia, in the department called Motion. Picture. Sound (idk if i translated it right, but you get the idea).
It's been an interesting experience so far, my coursemates are very nice, I'm glad I can finally study with somewhat likeminded people and that I can feel free around them.
Our lecturers are also very nice, great and skilled artists.
I was quite hyped at the start, because almost all lectures seemed interesting in one way or another, but as time has went on and work piled up, i've been in some ways disappointed. I'm so happy about the animation-wise lectures we have, but then comes a lot of the other lectures, which include all the abstract and contemporary art themes, which I simply despise, because I both don't enjoy them both it takes so much time. It's such a shame I have to put half-assed effort into what I like, just to get done some nonsense modern art stuff.
I mean yeah, I knew it's gonna happen. I knew that this school is a lot more into the academical and modern art stuff, I was expecting that, but it's really disappointing now that I have to deal with it.
And my guilt makes me feel shitty for doing bad work in them, but there's nothing I can do about it. Vicious cycle, eh.
But still I'm very glad about what i've already managed to learn and improve here.
I do my best to get trough the unlikable part to do the fun ones.
I'm also super fortunate to have such supportive parents that I can rent a super comfy aprtment room, so i feel comfortable and happy there. Big thanks to them!
Soon this semester's gonna be over.
I'll be doing the christmas sale again this year, so keep an eye for that!

Heya!

Okay so i've gotten internet for now! It's a bit wonky and unstable, and I'm not sure how things are gonna work out with it, but so far I live!
I've settled in my new place and it's rather nice here I like it a lot! I'm getting some anxiety in the evenings, it's been a bit hard to cope with the big change, but i'm holdin in! This evening i actually felt nice and relaxed so that's great!

Point is, due to the feeling of insecurity or whatever it is, I had a hard time concentrating on things, I couldn't focus and doing any art so I got a bit fallen back with things and the comic. But i'll do my best to get back in it.

Gonna have a ceremony at the academy tomorrow, and start studies at the 5th, so I'll see how that goes!

Hai guys!

Okay so, I keep making 'change' journals, but I can't help it, it's happening D:

So I'm starting studies at an art academy, a uni pretty much, so I don't know what will happen to my arting time. This means I don't know how much effort I'll be able to put into my Just for Fun comic. Decrease in it's quality is pretty much inevitable if I want to keep it weekly. But even with that I have doubts about managing to keep it weekly as much as I want to. I really wouldn't want to make a short story last a damn year. :'I So my point is, i'm just giving you all a heads up about possible significant quality drop and frequency.

Second thing regarding activity is that I'm moving out tomorrow or after tomorrow, and as far as I know the apartment I'm in doesn't have internet yet. I don't know how long it will take to get it in, since I also don't know if there are actually any place to plug it in and so on. I'll be checking in from my phone, but I won't be able to post things INCLUDING the comic. My phone is pretty shat, so that's why, BUT MAYBE I"LL FIGURE IT OUT IDK. I'll be able to art there, but i'll just be disconnected majorly :'I


Oh boy, I have no idea how this will all go. I hope deeply that i'll still have power to do personal art while I study there. It'd be a huge shame if it'd take out all creative juices.

My studies will begin on the 5th of january, but there's just some event going on there starting from the 29th, so I'm going for that.


Geez this is gonna be crazy. Let the nerve wreckage begin I guess.

This is gonna be an update journal thing. I don't think much people care for them from me, but I figured I'd just put out some thoughts as i rarely do that anyways.

So yeah as expected reality has finally hit me, and the weight of the situation has finally sunken in. I'm talking about the whole 'finished high school, now gotta get in university' thing.
Ofcourse I didn't expect it to be easy, but you know, when it's here it just gets to you. This shazam needs money. Lots.

Tomorrow i'm gonna have my exams until the 14h to get in one of the universities, so we'll see how that works out.

But yeah, I've understood that saving up on money is important now, and I feel like I need to earn it more. I'm not going after a summer job, because my plans were to practice art and hope to grow in the sense of 'popularity' that would help to get commissioned and because these first 2 months are being inconsistent in busy/free days. So instead of a job like that, I wanna work more on getting commissioned and such. Maybe do some designs, though I'm never sure what works for them.

I guess what I'm trying to get to is- I want to become more serious with my art and 'online presence' i guess. I hope to be able to make some sort of tiny earning from this, as I doubt I'm gonna get a job any time soon. Art schools and jobs are quite hard to combine, but we'll see when that comes. Any sort of monetary support is incredibly appreciated.

This all just often makes me anxious.

Okay, so hear me out

This morning i've been toying with the idea of making an interactive webcomic. I'm getting REALLY big urges to make one.
How'd it work? Basically I'd draw it in single -or several- panels, but with each post YOU have to say what the main character would do next and all sort of other details that are asked at that certain situation.

Basically it's a co-operational story building for fun! It can get serious, silly, normal, anything that YOU GUYS make it be. It could actually be called a game, where all of you are the main character and i'm the game master haha.

I'd probably be choosing one or two options that you comment, since I can't take all of them. Maybe sometimes randomize it and all.

But yeah, what do you think?

The format would mostly be 1-3 panels of a simple drawing (kind of like homestuck - very free and crude) and then in the description i write down the situation more in detail, and at the end ask what should the character do or say or whatever other detail.
The world it'd take place in is my created world Torgua, that way you can get to know it and maybe even build it more. Heck, you might even meet characters from Just for Fun or in general any other charas of mine.


Please do tell if you'd be interested, because I can't really make it if there's no one to move the main character. x) I'm personally really hyping about this idea!

Hello friends!

So I was meaning to ask this for some time, and since ya'll here know better about things such as commissioning, I wondered whether anyone could give me some advice?

I'm always pretty torn about what sort of currency to use when selling artwork or designs.
The currency at my place is Euros, so I pretty much prefer that, but I have a feeling like people often lose interest because of the payment currency. Maybe it's just my imagination, but it feels like a thing that's going on haha.
So I pretty much sell designs for Dollars but commissions for Euros as for now, because I'm not really sure about the efficiency about these things

So I suppose I mainly just need some input as in, should I stick to my Euros, or would Dollars work better?

I'm really not too educated about money biz xD

Heyy guys!

Yeap, i'm going on a trip to London with my mum from the 1st to 6th of July! How cool is that?!
But yeah, that means i won't be around much those days.

It's pretty much gonna be plain ol' tourism! Gonna check museum, and stuff like that. Definitely go with the London's eye hah! But besides tourism I'll also be going to Bournemouth on the 4th. I'll be visiting Bournemouth university's open days since i've been eyeing that place for some time.

So yeah, that's that! If something eventful happens I'll tell it after I get back, though i don't think many would be really interested in that x)
