Posted 13 years agoi'm excited; i actually managed to edit things in my Etsy store without screwing it up, and i managed the end of season sale i wanted to do on my hat/ear/scarf sets. All the winter items are reduced by $10! i know some people have been waiting for a sale, and it's the first one i've run so i'm all happy about it. The learning curve with me and computers is HUGE, so any small step is a good one, in my opinion. :)

This weekend, i had my kitty ears and paws taken to their first convention! A very nice woman named Linda, wanted to buy kitty and pet-gear from me wholesale, and take them to anime and gaming conventions to sell. Again, for me, this was a very big deal, and i was nervous as hell, but with my disability, this was the best way to get my gear out into the world without me collapsing trying to run a booth i couldn't handle.
Well, i am astonished and thrilled! In one weekend, all but 1/4 of the kitty-gear sold!!! i always have trouble feeling like nothing i make is ever good enough, even when i love the design and KNOW it's good....i'm just so self-critical and perfectionistic about it. This was a gigantic step in a positive direction for me, and i needed it. The more positive vibes and positive thinking i can get into my life the better.
i'm just feeling really thankful today! :)

It's been way too long...
Posted 14 years agoi had only just begun to be active here, when my life took a huge and drastic u-turn that changed everything. The entire past year or more has been devoted to getting back on my feet and making and adjusting to the change. i have still a great deal to do, but i finally feel like i am on the path i want to be on, and i am slowly becoming able to do more and be more friendly and social. i regret letting my connections at this site lapse, and i hope to become much more active here, a bit at a time, from now on. :)
i'm excited to be exploring my work again, and happy to have a place to express this side of myself without fear of judgement or censure.
