Coming Changes
General | Posted 10 years agoI'm going to be taking time to start renovating both of my pages.
Blargh
General | Posted 10 years agoYeah Wednesday was a no go even though I should have done something. It seems like already it's not working as I had hoped. the stall this time was bill paying, though that part shouldn't matter. I'll make it up Saturday and Sunday.
"Summer Style"
General | Posted 10 years agoI've finished the project here at http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16871364/
Once again, I've swapped over to the new account for posting my actual artwork. If you don't watch it already and want to continue to watch my art, take a look.
This is the last reminder I'll give.

Reminder: Account Transition
General | Posted 10 years agoFor those of you who'd like to continue to watch my art I'd like to remind you I have switched over to
Daemon-Wolf as my main account. This account will likely be used for art I've received from others or specifically Chaos Incorporated art or likely both.

General | Posted 10 years agoOver time I'll be slowly moving to the alt account http://www.furaffinity.net/user/Daemon-Wolf
Reason being, I use the name Daemon Wolf everywhere else. This just makes things simpler. It does not mean I'll kill this account automatically, but it does mean that color works will appear on that account from now on. Most color works already finished if not all will also appear on the other account as well. If you don't already watch it and would like to continue following my work, click and proceed.

Quick Commission
General | Posted 10 years agoI'm one who doesn't mind being asked about commissions and I'm aware that not many people know that I'm always open unless I state otherwise. What I need however is to do a quick commission to see if I can get a bite to eat. Typically, prices will range from $15 to $20 sketches depending on level of detail (more if the detail is staggering) and around $40-$50 for full color. You can guess I'll middle road for line work, although since I no longer ink, the line work goes around $30.
It's not like I'll starve or anything, but the talk of pizza and food stuff does get to one, y'know?

Taking Music Suggestions
General | Posted 10 years agoI'm getting ready to revamp my playlists. I need music that helps me focus. To clashy, crashy, clangy, and it's likely I'm going to end up walking away from my computer or turn it off. This is mostly to help my focus since the observation has been made that I can't do so unless it's steady and even music. This also means that I am having to separate based on the atmosphere the music generates. To go immediately from sad and depressed to happy and excited for example would just make me want to rip someone's arms off.
This doesn't mean that all music should be the same, but it does mean that I need to set up new playlists based on mood and emotion the art piece conveys.
I literally should have done this years ago. I'm only just now getting to it. Still, I'd like to hear thoughts on what to try out.

F5 Everyone!
General | Posted 10 years agoI'm hoping to get back into mainstream. I'll have to divide my time evenly to do it, but I think I can manage. More coming soon, but for today, Avatar.
Monthly Maintenance
General | Posted 10 years agoSo far so good. I took the Tahoe in to have the fluids changed and after a quick run down with new oil, transmission fluid, and fresh water in the radiator/filters and so on, I was quite happy that it took some of the rough out of the run. As a preplanned extension I threw in a little ZMax for the fuel, oil, and of course transmission in order to preserve the vehicle.
I don't even notice it's running on idle except for the RPM reading. Bum door handle replaced, some clips for my interior, light dusting, freeon, all of the above and here taken care of for less than $200. Remaining details include new strips and seals for the driver side door, some adjustment made so it can open and close more easily, driver and passenger power mirrors, driver side door switches, since the child safety melted into engaged mode, I'll also want to scope the wiring and see if there are any shorts somewhere that belong to this assembly.
Art: I'm due to get back into action until May 8'th where I'll be kept busy for a few days, roughly 12. Sure, I'm busy now, but at least I just about have real life fixed so I can continue work again. I'm sure everyone has noticed significant improvement in short time. I've been trying to upgrade my speed as well, which has been made easier just by changing my approach. I can start work on complicated commissions soon, but I will be having to finally make a price sheet. I'll keep posted.

General | Posted 10 years agoWanting to do something with the group again. Where you fuckers at, anyway?
Accomplished.
General | Posted 10 years agoVehicle is done, now to move on to fixing some wiring bugs in the system. I no longer have problems with Hell on Wheels.
The Damage Thus Far
General | Posted 10 years agoAfter doing a breakdown, I was worried I lost the entire Tahoe and that the engine was completely blown. Reason being, the grinding noise and vibration. I have been working early mornings in order to pry it apart and assess the damage and I made the discovery that not all was lost. In fact, fortunately it was just the fly wheel that was bent out of shape.
What this means is that I'll have to replace it, which is merely another $40 fix at the most unless I get a high dollar component that really doesn't do anything special but look pretty while doing it's job. Well, that only has me pinned down for the meantime for about a week at the longest now.
As for the bank account raid, the bank looked into the whole thing and discovered that it was in someone else's name on a discovery card which to them said that it was just a simple mistake where someone entered the wrong routing number and got our account number by mistake. I had it fixed as well.
By the next week, everything should resume normal operation. I'll have what may as well be a brand new truck (as I always took damn good care of the engine and it's still a very strong piece of machinery). I had to make a few adjustments on lines that were severed and already replaced a couple hoses that were cut by the jack and jack stands when they fell. Transmission lines, a fuel line, and a couple dents in the assembly were removed. The frame is still in good condition and the engine really didn't seem to notice the damage at all.
What this means is I can buy time before setting down and getting a new vehicle, which should give me time to finish paying one final outstanding debt and should prevent my father from causing any more mishaps even with his tricky bullshit gambling problem. Once this is complete, I'll be able to actually travel to friends' and do things I always wanted to do. This also means that after my experience with the worst Chevy ever made, I feel like I am much wiser now and ready for anything else this thing can throw at me.
What made the difference: I have a tool now that I never had before. Something that I went out of my way to purchase because I was sick of doing shit the hard way. An impact wrench.
This tool alone saved me hours of heart ache and despair dealing with any component on this Chevy. If you don't already have one and would like to work on your vehicle, GET ONE. Mine is a corded Impact Wrench designed for shop work and fast tire replacement. At the most it set me back $60. This thing more than paid for itself in one night.
Originally, I bought it to disassemble what I could from the Tahoe then call a wrecker to come get it. After doing this, I managed to discover exactly what went wrong and now I'm able to fix it pure and simple with little effort. It's something that made a tremendous amount of difference and seems like my little junker may finally get the mileage I set out to accomplish.

Assessments
General | Posted 10 years agoI've been checking, seems like the vehicle is salvageable and wont be under for much longer. After correcting a few points when they were broke, I managed to patch it together and now the engine starter gear seems to grind on the body plate. This isn't major, but it is loud and obnoxious. I've got a few adjustments left to get it up and running again, but fortunately, this means the vehicle isn't really hurt.
It's a saving grace compared to something else that happened late last night. I was checking my account and everything I had in it was sucked out. I managed to pay most bills including rent (minus insurance and truck loan) but I haven't been able to get food for the entire month like I usually do. I'm reduced to $1800 in the hole since some felons tried to take out $2750 from my account. Well, the charge was declined according to the bank but I have to wait until the process clears before I can afford to do anything. During the meantime, I am out of resources.
With this shade of luck being absolute horse shit, it's a wonder I have at least some sliver of a green light that keeps me going. Either way, I have to spend on new tires, so I might as well get the same type I have on it already. They were on the vehicle for over 150,000 miles since I got the vehicle itself, and they've been damn good tires.
Here's hoping that after all this, I can continue streams and artwork.

That Monthly Report That Never Comes
General | Posted 10 years agoIt's not an easy thing to say, but I definitely need a new vehicle. The Tahoe has been beaten to hell and it's over. It'll never run right again. In my haste to get it back together during reassembly it managed to fall off of the jack as I was letting it down while trying to remove the jack stands from underneath it. The vehicle rolled despite being in gear and not only blew a tire, but also fucked up my engine and new transmission both. I'm just lucky I wasn't under there when it happened. Either way I am in a difficult situation.
TLDR Below
I have no one locally of whom I can rely and it's a critical time of the month when bills are supposed to be paid. I can get the lion share of them done online however this means I have no real way to get food and items for the month. It's basically what had kept me busy and silent for a long time, trying to keep what was literally the worst Chevrolet I have ever owned together. I'll be glad to see the back of this myself, and I intend to throw a BBQ when the junk yard finally turns this thing into scrap. It behaved too much like a God forsaken Ford. Every time I fixed one thing, something even more major would break. Now, before you think I'm just dissing on Ford, here's the story:
Every Ford I have ever owned had the same problem. They would work fine for the first few weeks and eventually need maintenance. As time went on, the simple changed turned into major malfunctions and eventually the trucks broke down before they ever hit that 100,000 mile mark. GM has never done this to me. They average of about the same years in age, they travel the same type of roads with the same type of driving. Every Chevrolet I have ever owned has always exceeded 300,000 miles. Not this Tahoe. Every Ford I have ever owned at least never had transmission trouble which is strange enough in of itself. Not this Tahoe. I've even seen Ford Truck suddenly lose both axles from under them during peel out. Every Chevy I have ever owned has managed to rip into speed when I needed it the most, same can be said for Ford, however one Bronco II managed to pop out of Overdrive during acceleration and blow itself to pieces. This Tahoe while it has never been able to do either of those things before and it blew itself to pieces in my driveway. That's an achievement.
I can honestly say now that I have just had a cursed/doomed vehicle. It never made it past 250,000 miles either, which is still sitting at a rather achieved 234,000 miles at best. I have never owned a Ford that has gone that far without blowing an engine or having had been replaced over something major. Due to experience, I still can maintain that my worst Chevy has been better than my best Ford. This is by far the worst Chevy I have ever seen, and I hope it returns to hell where it belongs.
Now, I will likely continue being silent while I'm trying to fix this situation with a decrepit and stupid father who likes to send money to foreigners who try posing as his long lost girlfriend. In short, this wont be easy. Like always, I'm having to fight fiercely just to be able to sleep at night. I admit though, it's still better than having to struggle just to make rent or face eviction, which is something I see a lot of these days. I wish I could help, but it's really hard to do when I've got my own problems to fix. This isn't something that depresses me or saddens me, strangely. No, I just feel white hot rage for any and everything that goes wrong. It's best I don't bring everyone else down with it.
TLDR Version
Truck's fucked, can't fix it, need new one, WORST. CHEVY. EVER. MADE. BY. SATAN.

Maybe Stream
General | Posted 11 years agoMight do something in a little bit. I still have to get a few things done but life is slowing down for a change of pace. Got a joint commission left to fulfill and I'm already half way done with it. I will post a new journal when ready.
To let everyone know, I'm still alive. I haven't simply moved on, I'm just slow at progression. I realize it may have been more beneficial to leave a journal explaining this but as it was I admit I don't always feel compelled to write.
Lately, I had to take final steps and order a new part and now my computer is experiencing some odd behavior from time to time, so I have to be careful with what I do and let all scans take place. Hopefully, it's just a hiccup.

About That Phone Book...
General | Posted 11 years agoI'd rip it in half right now. I was supposed to spend roughly a month preparing for a large collection of submissions over a couple days. This did not happen.
What did happen is that I was kept busy to the point where I want to skin someone alive so now instead of that, I'll have to release art throughout February as time goes. Generally, art that I've drawn a long time ago that I never intended to color, adult art, is being completed over time.
Don't worry.
calypso_laforet is also working on some of it as she asked for three pieces from me out of this folder. I look forward to watching her work on them, as she is evolving nicely.

General | Posted 11 years agoProject done. TCC Regulator valve was stuck and now I have that fixed. All that is required now is to fix the flow problem with the fuel tank and an oil change.
'bout time I found the real problem.

Deadline: February
General | Posted 11 years agoI've got quite a few things I want to submit on Valentines Day, seeing that it might as well be the perfect time for this.
I know what you're thinking, it's a fucking terrible holiday and whoever conceived of it should be shot, hung, stretched, drawn and quartered. Fuck it. Make the most of it even if you're a loner. Even without Cabbit, I'd have done this anyway.
That is the plan, and since I expect bad shit to hit the fan as it usually is, I'm trying to get done asap so it doesn't phase me much.

Trying to Meet Personal Deadlines
General | Posted 11 years agoHas been an extremely difficult process. Anymore I'm fighting my fucking tablet which seems to want to smash itself in the face then grin at me like it's completely stupid. Normally, this wouldn't bother me except when faced with it requiring a computer restart that takes roughly an hour or two long, and even then it's a question as to whether I have to reinstall drivers again or not.
Yep, looks like it's time to get a new tablet.

Where I've Been...
General | Posted 11 years agoOver the last few weeks I've had a massive tooth problem to deal with as well as pain in my jaw and an intense headache brought on by just a collection of other problems. I'm still dealing with the fact that every time I get focused I get into singular function and I don't hear or know about anything else going on until after the fact.
For numerous reasons, I had to keep out of sight and out of mind for the time being until I felt I could deal with everything again. Now that most of everything is dealt with, I'm still waiting until FA comes out of this query process because it has been eating submission notices. For December, I plan on doing something I haven't done last year or the year before.

Game Set
General | Posted 11 years agoTrying to get a bunch of my friends set up for a weekend game isn't easy. Yet again I'm having to hold off, personal issue being what it is, it has to do with massive pain on my right side. I'll keep everyone updated here, it might be easier.
Other news, I had my Tahoe hooked up to a computer. It needs to be broken apart and have some components yanked out of it (namely the shift band is stuck on 4'th gear which explains why I have no Overdrive, and the o2 sensor is out). It's gonna take roughly a short while to fix, but I need parts first. I'm still working out details, but I may do something as a trial basis soon.

Settling Down...
General | Posted 11 years agoI'm getting some work out of the way and hopefully I'll be able to stream. I'm going to post another journal for it.
This month has been a long one to say the least. Also, to anyone trying to add me to skype, I don't do random out-of-the-blue invites. I refuse them, so please, let me know who you are. I'd also like to point out that I don't add just anyone. I get irritated as is during easy days when I try to game a little bit to build momentum and I get skyped every three fifths seconds.
Truck: It's mostly fixed, functionally. After flushing the fuel lines it starts without any trouble, and the shifting has gotten strangely easier. Speaking of shifting, when it doesn't shift I'm the oddball who'll pull into a center lane to fully stop so I can get it to shift correctly. When it does so, the truck will sort of "nod" as it does so, indicating that it's on queue. To my best guess, after jerking with the computers, there's likely a vacuum line that's busted/clogged so I'm going to be picking at it to search.
