Where have I gone?
Posted 2 years agoThe past year has been tough for me and my boyfriend. It all started when russia invaded the territory of Ukraine and started a bloody war, committing war crimes and genocide of Ukrainians. At that time, military censorship began in russia, and I was scared to stay in that country, since my boyfriend and I could be arrested for any word against the government or the war. The family was also against me, as they supported the putin regime and the war. Since the beginning of the war, I have lost a lot - a good and well-paid job, hope for the future and faith in my family. We wanted to leave russia at any cost, because after February 24, 2022, for me it became a strange and cold country with cruel people who rejoice at the deaths of peaceful Ukrainian citizens, including women and children.
Not all russians are bad, but unfortunately there are many more of those who support russian aggression against Ukraine. My boyfriend and I moved to Montenegro and now we live there, and my fears about the family were confirmed over time. During the mobilization, when a call-up paper arrived at my residental address in russia, the family wanted me to return to russia and go to the front, but I refused and finally expressed my negative position about the invasion of Ukraine. Before the war, I spoke to family and friends about my disapproval of the policies of the putin regime, but this moment put an end to my communication with them. Now my boyfriend works as a 3D artist and earns us a living, I'm only studying and helping him with easy tasks, but at the same time I'm also trying to earn money, but now I'm not getting much. Montenegro is a calm, beautiful and safe country where our stress after last year's upheavals began to disappear.
Ukraine will defeat the enemy and cleanse its land of rashists!
Слава Україні!
