Posted 3 weeks agoHey y'all! I just wanted to thank anyone who took the time to read the story commission I wrote with the accompanying sketch for it! I would be extra grateful if anyone has any feedback as well on it. Pacing, quality, length, details, etc. and what you liked/thought could make it better would be super helpful! If there's enough interest I may do the drawing+story thing again some time soon.
In other updates I have been quite busy with my new job position. I've basically been drinking from the fire hose ever since I started, but thankfully things are starting to level out a bit now that I've been doing damage control and spending some time in development. Here lately I've been finally tapping back into my creative side so I'll be finishing out owed stuff and start taking on more commissions! I also have surgery scheduled day after tomorrow to fix hearing in my ear so that will leave me down for the count for a couple days, unless I get bored and decide to doodle while I'm resting and recovering.
Also I have other places I'm fairly active too! I post a lot on Bluesky and I also have a Telegram art channel, so feel free to follow/join if you feel inclined to do so!

I want to apologize for being pretty quiet lately. This year's been pretty tough on me mentally to put it lightly. I've been doing my best to keep high spirits but it's been tough to get back into the swing of creativity when I haven't had much motivation. My dad passed early this year and I found my mother in her home passed away just a few days ago. I'm slowly getting better with the help of loved ones but it's going to take some time. I desperately want to enjoy life more, especially after losing both my parents in such a short time span. It's going to be really tough being as introverted as I am but I hope that I can get that spark back, life's just too short to let it pass by.
Anyway, I just wanted to let y'all know that if you would like to help my sis and I bury my mom, I started a GoFundMe here: https://gofund.me/ef6df6ae and there is no obligation to give. Just some kind thoughts and wishes are greatly appreciated too, or even if you choose to share our fundraiser with others. Be sure to cherish your time with loved ones, because you never know when our last moments are here on this world.
I'm also really hopeful to get back into working through commissions too. I plan on experimenting with some small things to hopefully get back on track and enjoy drawing again. The AI thing has been really killing my morale but I just gotta keep in mind that my art is unique and can't be replicated by a robot.

One of our beloved pets passed away today...
Posted 6 years agoMisora and I have been grieving the loss of one of our beloved pets today, Shadow. He was a Great Dane/Black Lab mix with a pure, kind heart, who lived to the ripe old age of 15 and whom we loved very much. He always liked making messes, but was always easily forgivable because of his gentleness and love. His health had been in decline rapidly over the past few months, especially the past couple of weeks. We had to make a very difficult decision to have him euthanized as his pain and suffering was becoming far too much for him and us to handle. We loved him so much, and having his cremated remains returned to us was something we needed to help cope with his loss. I'm asking for any donations to help with a portion of his final expenses so that we can pay them off and have peace of mind. Thank you so much for keeping us in your thoughts. TFF 2018! +Fat/Inflation Art Panel!
Posted 7 years agoHey guys! TFF is coming up soon so I figured I'd post some info about it. This year is going to be special because not only will it be a new hotel, but I will also be co-hosting a fat/inflation/round fur art panel with Zaf and Misora! It's going to be an 18+ panel so I won't have to hold anything back... x3 But everyone 18 and over is more than welcome to attend! We'll have a lot of info about drawing fat/inflation stuff as well as a bit of story writing tips, but it will mostly just be a casual meet-and-greet style panel where we can all share and appreciate the broader side of the fandom. :3 It looks to be most likely happening late Friday night, but the schedule is subject to change. The conbook will have a definitive time slot! I really hope to see you guys there and get to meet some new folks and see old friends again! One thing I ask is please be courteous and respectful to everyone at the panel including myself and the co-hosts :)

Just letting you all know I spent a little bit of time this morning getting all my submissions sorted into folders, as well as getting my submissions up-to-date! I have also worked on making sure my Weasyl is up-to-date as well for redundancy. Here's my Weasyl if you haven't followed me there yet: https://www.weasyl.com/~kobaltsilverstar
I think I'll be posting here every other day for Inktober commission opportunities! I was normally only doing them on Twitter but I figured I would offer them here every other day as well to be more fair. They're $15, and I'll ask for a keyword that you would like to use. Also, thanks to all my new watchers! I make it a point to visit everyone's page who watches me, but I usually don't leave a thanks comment as many folks would rather not have those comments placed on their page (I get that!). So I'm taking the opportunity here to say thank you!
More art will be posted up in the coming days, as well as some art streams soonish as I now have a reliable Fiber Optic internet connection at my house. c:
