Emergency commissions?
Posted 7 years agoSo I need to really get some money over here, Times have been tough since the car accident
So if anyone would like to commission me, name your price for the most part - only pay when done.
I can do illustrations or 3d Sculpts
Same goes if anyone has a 3d character they would like to rig, I can rig it for animation.
Really anything you think I can do and that I can deliver on.

Posted 7 years agoMaybe the reason why aliens haven't visited us is because before they uncovered the technology capable of traversing that far in so little time they have instead digitally transcended the existence of a physical body and now have no need to travel at all.
Or this is a hologram and what you see is what you get.
I often wonder about those pentagon files that were released featuring encounters pilots had on video with UFOs.
The first thing that comes to mind is speed, gravity and size.
They don't seem to be very big
They defy the limitations of aerodynamics
and ..well..Gravity.
So here's a theory.
It's fine to break the rules of aerodynamics if you've somehow figured out a means of manipulating mass and its interactions with gravity. atmosphere be damned - if you can do that you can also move that fast without burning the earth to a crisp in a second
( see Relativistic Baseball - https://what-if.xkcd.com/1/ )
The problem I think most people would come down to is how could anything alive be in something that small, survive what ever methods are needed to create zero mass or deflect gravity(which I wanted to misspell "Grabbity" heh) AND defy the conservation of momentum and not be turned into jello when these things move - HOW can they be piloted?
Well. besides these aliens already being made out of jello...When we visit other planets do we send people or machines? Machines. Which seems more likely an explanation than anything else.
Aliens are not visiting our earth, Drones are (maybe?) A machine would be a better occupant than a living thing inside some sort of mass defying impossible machine and G-constrains are a lot better with robots. Heck, The people that built them don't even need to be alive anymore. They could of been roaming the galaxy for millions, billions of years, automated to explore but not contact continuing as they were programmed regardless of if there is anyone still listening.
Who fucking knows. I'd fuck an alien, thats what I'm getting at.
How are you anyway?

Washed out Textures in DAE Formats
Posted 8 years agoanyone know a solution to DAE format models having washed out colors when imported to blender?
Great 3d Modeling programs
Posted 8 years agoSo I've been 3d modeling~ Yea~
I haven't been drawing much - I should, haha, It's not that I was particularly bad at it or annoyed by it - its just that I found modeling far more freeing for my creativity , being able to manipulate mater into any shape is amazing. So far so good too! I've been learning a lot - faces, edges, vectors - rigging , meshes, materials textures weight painting - its all starting to become super easy!
That said I do have some suggestions for anyone wanting to start animating because some of these tools are hella expensive. Great, but maybe not the best to start with. Of course if your goal is to be an industry professional - it doesn't hurt to learn Maya haha
So here what I use
Blender~ https://www.blender.org/ A fantastic ground up system that can handle sculpting, mesh editing, weight painting, texture, material posing and animation - Though do not be deterred- while there is ALOT in this UI, it's basic core is broken down into what appear to be "widget windows" That have about 7 or so different states - no more no less. Once you understand how all these windows can become any of the others - its starts to become a lot easier to utilize them.
That said, I recommend highly the Blender Exstention Sensei https://blendersensei.com/ an amazing extender that adds extra features and slims down Blender without detracting for a much smoother experience - this is my bread and butter.
Now I did find modeling from scratch in blender to be less intuitive than I wanted - with mesh issues and all and control is lacking. Luckily The creators of Zbrush have a slimmed down version of their product for free called Sculptris! http://pixologic.com/sculptris/ Now, this may not be as comprehensive as Maya or Zbrush but it packs a suite of auto mesh fixing tools that allow you to sculpt with ease - dare I say more ease than Zbrush itself.
I use Sculptris to make basic character models and objects - especially feet, hands, faces n diiicks. You can also texture and apply materials in Sculptris but I recommend other tools for that like Substance painter - https://www.allegorithmic.com/produ.....stance-painter - the only non free item I recommend here - although sculptrist and Blender could likely do what you want for free.
NOW Rigging and animation. You can do all these in blender - infact I recommend Sensei format and to watch his tutorials on his site for rigging - very very enlightening.
But what if I told you that you could take any Obj file, model, etc. Upload it into a program that auto rigs, weights and animates your characters, allowing you to download those models back into blender with rigs magically placed inside, keyframes already set for animating?
Well you can it's powered by adobe! https://www.mixamo.com/#/ - I dont even know where to start with this one - it is amazing what can be done with very little effort. Although I recommend if you're making porn, maybe dont upload it on this? Or maybe you can - I just assumed you shouldn't.
And of course it's fun to play with models that already exist out there - many are free - but making a profit off other people's property is - honestly - a lot more sketchy in modeling. We all draw porn of Yakko and wakko n Darnell but at the end of the day creating character assets and selling them - can be far more lucrative and far more fair and legal if they are yours. Don't steal and profit from protected models, the industry as a whole suffers when you do. Oddly enough, far more than illustration.
That's why I suggest Sculptris and the rest of these free tools. Let your creativity out and create whole new objects and characters you can sell on a thriving market place
Once you get a knack for model making you can freelance sell those models on sites like Turbosquid - however I am not expert on this part of the process and you may be breaking your balls in royalty splitting or exclusivity rights
Which I'll touch on quick here. Some sites can offer up to 80 - 90 % royalty for every sale on your models - some sites demand exclusivity meaning they expect you not to sell your work on any other website. Some times the royalty and exclusivity are balanced one way or the other but honestly when you start out dont be too picky. Money is money in your early practice years, you'll be making far more high quality models as you go and if you work hard you can make over 50,000 a year doing it - JUST SELLING ASSETS!
So thats all I had to say this week - hope everyone is doing alright out there :3

Lots of racism lately
Posted 8 years agoIt sickens me to my core the amount of racism i'm seeing these days, it surely got worse in the past two years.
The thing that drives me the most crazy are furries and gay people being racist, especially gay people. Don't you remember how hard you had it coming out? How even the TV had it out for you since the 90's, We may be the most disparaged group in all races and communities but it seems we learn nothing about discrimination and hatred.
We all came here to be in "different skin" As it were, to be something completely amazing and fun, contrary to the cruel world we live in. By doing so I hope we learn it was never what was on the outside, its the mind, its the heart that really come together to make a person. Their experiences bad and good.
Really I just want to say, that anyone facing discrimination, for any reason, be strong because that strength is what already separates you from your detractors and always will. Hatred is a weakness, a improper defense mechanism to something someone never bothered to be awoken to and to learn about.
If anyone wants to talk to me about anything they are going through, please, I'm all ears.

I've been doing the wrong things~
Posted 8 years agoHaha Yea I've been kind of dumb with art. I beat myself up over stuff when I know what to do.
I gotta do more shape and body studies, one thing I never did was sit and draw, like with pencil, paper, never really drew something over and over
Its always a hail marry and hope it comes out great. Those Horace pics, Roger? I drew both those dudes everyday for nearly a week. when I started, Oh boy I don;t wanna tell you what it was like when I started haha. They looked awfull, like a todler did it.
Now when people in person ask what kind of stuff I draw I give them a one line horace in less than 30 seconds.
Gotta stop beating myself up when I don't know how to do something. Find some one who does and do what they do over and over until you get it
