Posted 13 years agoI haven't been home is SO long: nearly 3 years. Also, I have never attended FWA, and will be doing so this year. Looking forward to great times, new events, and hopefully (and likely), meeting a slew of awesome new people!
My First Con Report

A. This isn't my first convention. I have attended AWA, Frolicon, and SCUTS (Scientific Community for Unappreciated/Unknown Theorist and Scientists). Among these conventions, while certainly entertaining, I have found little to be impressed by, and little for which to return.
However, at RCFM last weekend, every infinitesimal detail struck me like fireworks at midnight, new year's eve. Staff executed events and regulations smoothly, as well as interacted with attendants with respect and friendliness, activities were all very entertaining (even astonishing), room parties seemed disobey the laws of time, and I met not one individual that wasn't simply amazing.
I shall have everyone know that I discovered my furr-dom at this event, and in that rebirth I found myself drowning in hospitality, friendship, crazy fun, new experiences, endless and interesting chatter, and not caring if I ever took breath of anything else again. However, I must also point out, that even before I came to know my furry existence, I was at that point still having an equally amazing time, and THAT is all that can even begin to illuminate neither the magnitude of how very impressed by RCFM, nor the extent to which I enjoyed myself.
This con is an absolute MUST. Anyone who hasn't been, simply has to go. I look forward to seeing you all next year, and many of those that I met sooner than that.
