/RETURNS IN A HUFF

Hey guys! Evan and I are back from our super romantic, actually kinda nerdy and super cheesy week long Octobertrip! We had a blast. I'm thinking about sharing a folder of pics from the trip (Including things like Savannah, Halloween costumes/decor, adventures, etc) on my Twitter. In the meantime, I'm gonna leave you guys with this meme I swiped from ! Evan and I have been nonstop productive ever since getting back home- we completely unpacked and did laundry last night. And today we went grocery shopping, paid rent, cleaned Valentine's cage, and I've taken down like 90% of the Halloween decorations since we gotta get them Chrimmus ones up. 'Last Call' Fall Commissions 2015 [OPEN]

1. Fill out the appropriate form for the type of commission(s) you would like to order.
(For multiple commissions, fill out one form for each individual commission)

2. Note me with your filled out form.
-Do not note me multiple times. Please take a minute to review your order before sending it to avoid having to note me about extra references or forgotten details/questions.
-DO NOT DELETE PARTS OF THE NOTE CHAIN. I try to keep only one note per user in my inbox (the most recent note in the chain) to prevent hopeless cluttering. If you delete parts, I cannot access that commission information.

3. I will reserve Tuesday, October 20th & Wednesday, October 21st to review incoming requests.

☠ If I incorporate a background with your theme, it's going to be a very soft 'watercolor-like' type of background. So that the character will remain a focal point and the boldest part of the piece.

☠ I am offering thigh-up colored sketches and chibi sketches

☠ You'll need to pick out a theme, supply me with your character references, and let me know some guidelines for the mood of the piece (Essentially, fill out the form and you're good to go!)

☠ Make sure you pick out ONE THEME! Themes that are under the same number but are separated by a '/' are still individual themes.

☠ With your theme, you can choose one of the following to show in the art:

-Your character 'holding' or interacting with the item ("Holding")

-Your character wearing clothes or accessories (or a cosplay) that display that item ("Dress up")

-Your character standing in front of the theme that would be drawn as a background/scenic view. Suggestible for themes such as: Birch Woods, Fog Rolling In The Forest, Moon, October's Constellations, November Rainy Days, Fall Mountains, Autumn Lake, Autumn Windowpane, etc etc. ("Background")

It's funny to think of those ridiculous mash ups, but it's very harrowing as an artist to handle confusing combinations that don't mix well, and this year I may either ask you to elaborate on what you picture with your unique combination or to pick another more compatible combo.

I was inspired to do something like this mostly because it's October- along with commissions I'm also working on several 'art challenges' that are related to the season. (Octoberbook, Costume Challenge, and Inktober) But as always, I'm torn between wanting to do fanart, personal art, or giftart in my freetime.

So I figured I'd ask you guys, hear from all of you on what you like to see most in my gallery/what you'd want to see more of!

I can't promise that the content will change drastically after this poll, but knowing what you guys want to see helps me involve and consider you more.

NSFW SIDE NOTE:

I haven't posted any NSFW fanart for Steven Universe yet. I definitely have 1000 sketches and at least 1,000,000 ideas-

But I learned recently that there's a really negative stigma for it? I've heard of/seen people getting downright offended by it and lashing out at the artists.

So let me ask any of you who are interested-

Fall Quarter Commissions 2015 [TEMP CLOSED]

1. Fill out the appropriate form for the type of commission(s) you would like to order.

**You may notice I used much older art for references. This is because the newer colored sketches I have been drawing eventually became so detailed they were essentially colored linearts. The only difference was the fact that there were translucent 'skeleton frame' lines visible still. However the file sizes were double the size of the older standard, they were fully shaded, and had hard detailed lines along with the barely visible 'skeleton sketch' lines.

☠ If I incorporate a background with your theme, it's going to be a very soft 'watercolor-like' type of background. So that the character will remain a focal point and the boldest part of the piece.

☠ You'll need to pick out a theme, supply me with your character references, and let me know some guidelines for the mood of the piece (Essentially, fill out the form and you're good to go!)

Okay guys! Now that all the business stuff is laid out, there's something I wanted to take a minute to explain to you all. You may have noticed that some of my prices have gone up, specifically my colored sketches (+$2) and my colored linearts (+$10)

I was really close to not relaying WHY that's happened, but I think it would be kinda underhanded and sneaky and crappy of me to not address it? MAYBE THAT'S JUST ME BUT ANYWAY--

There's two reasons.

The first reason is because of how much more work I've been putting into my art lately. I don't know how I was so bad before. I understand that art is a growing talent- the more you work at it, the better it gets. But I cant even go past 2014 in my gallery without feeling intense embarrassment. How the frick did I not know how to draw a smooth, thin line before then?

But for whatever reason, I have a huge drive to make my art the best it can be now. I suppose I felt that way back then too, but I clearly didn't notice that there was so much more I could be putting in the artwork to make it better. Like shading, highlighting, shadows, better lines, truer anatomy, etc etc. But now that I do, my art takes twice as long for me to sit there and carefully hash out all the detail I think the art (and the commissioner) deserves.

However, I've always been shy about money and the worth of my work. Even after doing commissions for years now, I STILL want to get the 'money talks' over with asap. So even though I was doing a LOT more work, I didn't feel like that was enough to charge more for it.

But then two days ago we got some amazing news.

For anyone who read about my current situation on my 'commission opening date warning' submission, we're essentially going to be out of a place to live on August 16th. Our roomate gave us insanely short notice that he is moving to Montana, and since he told us that he had just renewed the lease we weren't ready for something like that. No savings, no plan, you name it.

So we start frantically searching for places around town, hoping for availabilities in our price range (which is abysmal OTL ) that we would be able to afford start-up fees in such a short amount of time.

Nothing is really happening, we're getting information but nothing is working out. Until we find this AMAZING place. It's safe, it's quiet, it's not pushing our price limit, it has tons of space and is such a cute apartment. You get a private balcony, lots of window light, it's a great location...AND THERE WAS ONE AVAILABILITY. We could literally move out on time from our current shithole apartment and right into the new one.
So we get the information we need to apply, get home, immediately go to reserve the unit online and--
It's already gone.

Needless to say we were pretty pissed. So we go up there the next day to make sure that it was actually gone and not just some site error. No, it's gone. Snatched up that quickly.
Until the lady told us that another identical unit was just announced to be available about a week later than the first unit.

So we quickly apply right there in the leasing office (normally they do electronic applications but we didn't want to waste time going home and asked for paper ones), and I swear it took centuries for it to process and for us to find out if we were approved.

AND WE GOT IT.

WE'RE MOVING OUT OF THIS SHITTY, DEPRESSING DOWNTOWN. LITERALLY EVERY PLACE DOWN HERE IS DISGUSTING AND NOT TAKEN CARE OF AT ALL. NO MORE SHOOTINGS, NO MORE STAB VICTIMS IN THE PARKING LOT, NO MORE WEAVING AROUND THE BAR PEOPLE AS WE TRY TO GET UPTOWN FOR DONUTS OR PET FOOD. NO MORE BEING SO FAR AWAY FROM EVERYTHING WORTH VISITING.

I am literally vibrating with excitement right now. Still paying out for the deposit, and doing an obscene amount of math to make sure we get what we need prepped and don't miss any payment deadlines. But none of that holds a candle to how happy and I are for our new place.

But, this means that now I'm going to have to be paying more than I was before in bills. Which is SO worth it, but long story short- that's why prices have gone up. ;w;

P.S. All of that apartment searching and visiting is also why I wasn't able to get the last commissions all colored before today. They'll be taken care of today and possibly tomorrow if they run over, but I was assuming our search would be just as boring and fruitless as it has been since the beginning and that I would be at home drawing instead of signing a lease to the most adorable apartment I've ever seen.
HAPPY TO BE PROVEN WRONG, but also not happy that everything isn't perfectly in order yet. Off to go fix that and review any notes that come in!

Now that I'm finally back home (presumably for a stretch that will allow me to finish up commissions and all that jazz) I've been able to reply to comments and notes and work on art and UPLOAD A MASSIVE ART DUMP SORRY 'BOUT THAT. But all this activity has me feeling super social and generally okay! And it also leads to me having all these ideas, so I'ma tell you guys about one. ★ STEVEN UNIVERSE GEMSONA ART GIVEAWAYS I'm thinking that, as a 'no pressure warmup' kinda thing- I could do one free chibi(ish) drawing every week for one person. I'm THINKING Fridays, and the only catch is-- I want SU Gemsonas. GIMME YOUR GEMSONA IN THE COMMENTS ON THIS JOURNAL, and each Friday I'll do a little colored doodle of one of them! Not sure how I'll pick yet, or if it will be randomly generated, but I'm so excited to see all the different gemsonas out there! Looking forward to seeing all the different gemsonas out there! ★ TRAVELING QUESTIONS This isn't something I can do right now, but something has inspired me to PLAN something like this. I've traveled a lot- but the thing is, not to a lot of places. I've visited Savannah upwards of 100-something times (which is not an exaggeration and is very embarrassing that I visit monthly but don't live there yet. We're working on that though.) The only other places I've been are: -Georgia -South Carolina -North Carolina (hardly, it was Carowinds.) -Tennessee -Texas -Florida I'm interested in doing a road trip and traveling through AT LEAST all 48 states, but if we're dreaming big- lets throw Alaska and Hawaii in there too. A good friend of mine lost her husband to cancer in February. Both and I had worked with her husband, and he worked with him up until he had to quit because of how much the cancer had taken out of him. It was clear cell sarcoma, and he held out until the day after his wife's birthday. They were two of the most inspiring and wonderful people I've ever met, and right now Ashley is traveling through 48 states with their two young children, spreading his ashes at places they had wanted to visit but weren't able to. I can't say my roadtrip would be that symbolic or noble, but I would definitely be thinking of them the entire time. That being said, I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT WHAT IS OUT THERE! Even my mum and dad haven't traveled since before I was born. And my dad only traveled for work, or visiting family in South America. Mum has always been down south and had zero interest in leaving Georgia. But I want to experience different places, so if you happen to live in a state (or even outside of America and know of another neat destination place!) PLEASE feel free to talk about it in the comments and I'll put it on a travel bucket list. (I could personally talk all day about Savannah but I won't reverse my request and bore you dudes and dudettes with that noise!) ★ SITE EXPANSION So, as of right now I've posted my art on FurAffinity, DeviantArt, Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, Gaiaonline, and Weasyl. But I've been considering getting a SoFurry or InkBunny account to expand where my art goes. Hey ovaries and brovaries!

Official update thing here, finally sheesh. I'm gonna try to keep it short and sweet, but I'm really excited so that's prooobably going to show up in my writin's.

WORK SCHEDULE

MON - FWA work
TUE - FWA work
WED - FA work
THUR - FA work
FRI - MISC work (more than likely FA work due to how long of a break I've taken from digital)
SAT - Free day
SUN - Free day

FWA MAILING LIST/COMMISSIONS THAT ARE FINISHED

I currently have a good deal of commissions from FWA done. And since today is technically another FWA-work day, I'll be spending it seeing how many other comms I can get done before going to bed.

Meaning- tomorrow I'll be mailing out all the commissions that I get addresses for tonight! (And of course if I can't get an address for a commission before mailing the rest out in the morning, I'll just mail it with the next batch. Probably within a week or two)

DIGITAL ART CHANGES

Okay guys, I still don't have it officially set up yet- gotta get some more programs on it and actually DRAW on it for the first time ever. But I am now the extremely proud (a-and grateful) owner of a Wacom Cintiq Companion 2.

I will probably also be investing in a laptop (not sure PC or Mac yet) to connect it to for desktop mode eventually. But the good thing about the Companion 2 is that it doesn't REQUIRE a laptop connection. I do have a terabyte external hard drive to put extra files on in the event that I run out of space on the 256GB hard drive that comes with the Cintiq.
So it's all coming together.

RL issues aside, the current tablet I have was a huge part of why it was so hard for me to get digital work done consistently and quickly. This tablet is really old, and along with being slow and overheating- it also likes to shut itself off in the middle of being used.
On top of that, it's also very heavy, clunky, and needs to be hooked up to a fan to keep it cool enough to work on. So the only way I could draw on it was to kind of weirdly cradle it in my lap while sitting on the bed by stuffing pillows under it and all around me. But of course my legs would go to sleep or I would get muscle cramps or the tablet would constantly slip down or fall off of the fan.

I-IT JUST WASN'T FUN.
But now the Cintiq is incredibly faster, lighter, way more efficent, touchscreen, and comes with an adjustable stand that will prop it up so I won't have to use the pillow-method anymore. I can actually work at my art desk, or travel with the tablet and easily draw anywhere. IT'S KINDA A DREAM COME TRUE IS THIS REAL LIFE?

What this means for you guys is that commissions and personal art (in the digital category that is) will be worked on and put out much faster than the embarrassingly slow performance beforehand.

I hope we can get it officially ready for work tonight- but I'm not going to let that keep me from working on digital commissions. Today is going to be for FWA art, but as it says on my schedule tomorrow will be digital art time- even if it's still on this old tablet.

SAVANNAH TRIP

The morning after my last journal, I went to Savannah for a one-night-stay. I used to go every month because the city feels like home to me and is like a reset-button when life gets really suffocating or stale or sad for me. But since October I haven't been able to, had to save any extra money I could to go towards saving to actually move there.

And no surprise, it was as amazing as any other trip before it.
But uh, different outcome!

I don't know what made it different, but everything just sort of fell into place.
We visited an apartment we really liked from before, but just to see a showroom.
And kind of fell in love with the place. The location is great, the prices are higher than the cheaper ends but its a safe area with awesome rooms and lots of amenities.

We still have to get a call back from the leasing office to ask them some questions about the applications we took home but I'm already writing up two checks for the app fees and the reservation fee-
And we've set the date for October.

SO HUGE LIFE NEWS THERE.

A bunch of other cute stuff happened too, like seeing wild dolphins in Moon River. Or the honeybee that flew into the Nourish bath shop on the corner and started hanging out on a bar of soap I had been about to pick up. Or how I finally watched the whole movie Ghost- and loved it. We also went to the beach in the pouring rain and almost went on a lighthouse tour but they were closed because of the weather. And on the second day before we left we were heading to Leopolds for Ice Cream but saw two baby finches on the street who had fallen out of their nest. So we saved them and got in touch with a bird orphanage that's run by a lady and her husband out on Skidaway Island- she took the nestling and we got the fledgling back into the nest after borrowing a ladder from the Blick Art Store down the street.
We also relocated a little green anole into Reynolds Square after he was being chased up Planet Fun's window by a bird. He was super chill and just kinda sat in my hand letting me pet him even when I was trying to get him to climb into the azalea bushes in the square.

Back home my mum and pretty much the rest of the family who lives here (even extended) really surprised us when we told them about the official moving plans. They told us that they want to throw us a 'going away/housewarming party'. I'd never heard of that, but they're gonna help us by buying towels or plates or other little house-hold things that we don't already have and have a big party at the house.
It's kinda blowing my mind and makes me a little starstruck that they would want to do that for us, words can't express how grateful I feel ;w; They all keep calling us and telling us how proud they are that we are taking this huge step in the direction of our dream. Huehrjbgfsdf /blushes forever

ALSO: Little side project, if any of you are ever in a Starbucks and look at one of their honey packets- it might say 'made in Savannah, GA'! I know no one else will probably geek out about that, but every time I go to a Starbucks I can't stop myself from picking up a packet and smiling at that.

Of course Rod Stewart would have some of the best damn words of wisdom for the stuff I'm dealing with. Being in Savannah took away all my feelings of anger and frustration and vengefulness. I don't want to hurt anyone, regardless of if they've hurt me.
I think it's over, and now I'm going to keep moving forward with my life.

STEVEN UNIVERSE ART RAFFLE

I am seriously addicted guys.
THIS IS AWFUL OH NOOOO BUT ALSO GREAT?!
It's awful because holy smokes all my personal art time I want to go towards drawing fanart. W-Which I don't mind. But there aren't enough hours in the day ;A;

THEN THERE'S THE ISSUE OF WANTING TO CREATE A GEMSONA. But my favorite gemstone is Opal. (Which is also my birthstone and something I've been connected to since I was a baby) But I feel shitty making an opal gemsona when there's already an Opal in the show. B-BUT THEN LIKE, I DON'T LIKE ANY OTHER GEMS AS MUCH?!
So I might make a gemsona, but just have it not based off of me. Which is less fun, but I dunno.

But I could really use you guys help!
This would not only be fun, but also be a great eye-opener for me on how I could design my gemsona without just using my view of myself alone.

And even if you don't know the characters or the show- you can still enter if you wanna do a quick google search and look up the characters!

PSA On My Art

Stopping in real quick to publicly address something.

My art- personal, commission, trade, etc- is NOT posted for copying or tracing purposes. People share opinions, fandoms, etc, so trends and similarities between art is bound to happen and isn't a bad thing. But tracing/original concept theft is not okay, at least not in my book.

This isn't the first time this has happened, and I've tried direct contact to dissuade this behavior but I guess that doesn't work. Now I cannot even contact the person due to being blocked from even attempting to do so.

Instead of reporting the issue and causing them possible direct harm (such as a warning offense or ban), I'm posting this where I know they stalk and read my material. I'm also not going to be giving out any information about the person's identity or how you can find them. (So please, don't ask.)

I am angry towards the decision to use my art like this, but not in a way that would make me ever want to harm the person.

Hopefully you'll see this and remove the traced piece. And hopefully it won't happen again.
This is not cool, and we both know it.

Okay sorry to extend this but I've never had a problem with admitting my faults- but I'm not going to accept blame that isn't mine to accept.

It's hard to show this without also showing you who I'm talking about- which is against ToS. But the person who I'm referencing and their partner (an ex of mine and theirs) have decided that, instead of quietly removing the trace- they'd rather make up complicated lies about how it's not the artist's fault and they had 'no idea that it was my art they were stealing'. Bunch of bull.

I didn't want a fight- I expressed how I didn't want to dig up old things because it gets nasty on both sides and I have put it behind me. But I want this to stop. But seeing as I've been threatened now, I guess I should do the right thing and say what I already said in the comments, in here.

IN THE PAST I HAVE USED OTHER ART AS SKELETONS/POSES. Marvel, DC styles, heavily referencing other artists for inspiration. Never for paid work, and I don't think I ever posted them to galleries. BUT THAT DOESN'T MAKE IT OKAY. I also used to keep folders of some of my favorite artists work- the very artists that I liked to draw similarly to.

The person who traces my work and uses my ideas taught me that this was okay- encouraged me to 'better my art' this way.
I remember years and years ago, they used to print off anime pictures and trace them right in front of me. Hey, we were young and stupid. That was the past- and I moved on from it over the years.

As you can see- it hardly looks like my work now.
The reason for this is because that work is from 2008-2009. Six to seven years ago. (And there is art of the other persons just like this- but I won't post it to drag up old dirt)

However, my work is being ripped off currently still. And no amount of innocent blame switching will change that fact.

But seeing as it's against site ToS to 'call people out' by using direct links to profiles, using names, or directly attempting to harm their reputation through non-anonymous statements- I won't be able to link you the art on their page next to the art on my page.

I am glad this new mule account is harassing me directly though. It's stressful, but it is another callout offense connected to the tracer- as well as a harassment charge. They've turned a simple, nameless, somewhat polite public plea into a dirt-throwing contest and have shown that I'm being stalked by these people maliciously (I haven't created any mule accounts myself to 'defend my name' on posts where the tracer has called me out twice- so there's one difference between us.)

So, they've referenced my dependence on other artist's styles in the past- six to seven years ago (to which I already admitted in the comments beforehand)- check.

They've lied, and claimed they 'gave my lineart to the tracer to color for their icon'. Which is absolutely RIDICULOUS. They're trying to say that they are my ex (and the tracer's current partner) doing these things, but I'm pretty sure it's just the tracer posing as someone else. The tracer knows my style.
They know my character, Seven.
They would have known that it was MY work.
Not to mention they already know about the lineart because they 'called me out' about a drawing I posted on March 25th (meaning they were watching my profile at least up until then) And the original lines that were traced and used were posted on March 15th- ten days before.

They also have threatened to say more about me in their journals (also against site ToS but in my experience these people's interest isn't really set in the truth or civility.) So I'll touch on that now- they claim I said 'nasty things about the other artist' And I certainly did!
It was after I found out that the other artist had moved into the apartment I had once lived in with my ex. I had no right to be angry, really. Because we were not right for each other and they seem to be.
I should have been happy, or at least neutral- because I had long since found someone else. This did happen years ago, but my outburst- while emotionally fueled, was uncalled for. I think it was time, having been with my ex for so long (both unhappy though) it came as a shock to me. So I called her awful names in my private journal, pretty much a rant to myself and to my ex (whom I was friends with) He then screenshotted the journals and would share them with her.
Not sure why if they are both so avid with avoiding her seeing nasty things or being harmed- but thats another thing I'm sure isn't true.

I was quite the asshole, but I kept from ever saying it to her directly because part of me knew the anger was misplaced, wrong, and the things I was saying was like getting the last bit of the relationship out. Kind of like really nasty closure? Either way, I have apologized for that. But I guess that's still relevant.

In fact, I didn't think any of this was relevant.
Both the other artist and me have hurt each other in the past multiple times back and forth, neither is truly innocent. But in terms of actual facts- I'm going to revert to current times.

Because for years I kept burying the pain and anger, moving past it- getting over it. But it's STILL GOING ON.

So-
As a recap.
I've used other artists work six to seven years ago for personal art, not cool of me.
I've said awful things about the other artist after they moved in with my ex in an emotional outburst in my private journal on another site that my ex took pictures of and shared with her, not cool of me.
I've probably stalked their page as much as they has mine- but for different reasons. Still not cool of me.
I decided to get white hair around the same time the other artist did, but succeeded sooner- and upon seeing that they asked me how as their methods hadn't worked. So I helped them get white hair, not that that needs mentioning but apparently that's been forgotten.
(I was also wearing braids since I've had white hair in 2012/13. I have photos of this but I don't even need to dig them up because it showed up in my art before theirs anyway) DOES THAT MATTER THOUGH?

The list goes on-
I make Axel, they make a very similar character.
I make Axel's fursona, they copy it and sell it. (I also have a message where they admit to doing this as a 'stab at me') They say it's because I 'stole their birch trees' when in reality I was posting birches in my art about a month before them. But when I showed them that evidence, they claimed they never saw it.
I use chalkboards in my art obsessively, they make a chalkboard ref just like Seven's.
They use my poses, my forms, etc.
I start shading and highlighting colors, they do as well

AND YOU KNOW, WHATEVER MAN! I wasn't going to talk about all this- I didn't want to bring up this stuff because it all feels so irrelevant and childish.

But if you want to lie, and harass me after stalking me, and spread all these rumors then I'm going to have to back up my side with what evidence I have. So before this gets out of hand- can we just stop?

I even talked the other artist up in here. I talked about their potential, their talent. I never once said bad things about them, or showed the other examples. I just wanted the one lineart that THEY TRACED of mine to be taken down.

Because it was the most recent. Because they are moving on and have a new profile and are doing great it seems- which I'm happy about. But after seeing that, it's like 'why is this happening? Please stop'
Anyway- I know this isn't 'another person' talking on their behalf because that person already had an account on here. I am certain that this is the other artist attacking me, pretending to be innocent and unawares of what's going on.

But instead of assuming and drawing common-sense conclusions, I'll just say this.

I'm not interested in hurting you.
I'm not interested in fighting you.
I'm not interested in the admin interference that I'm sure will happen if these callouts or harassment get any worse.

I want peace.
You know what you did, just take the art down. No one had to know it was you- and I'm not going to throw your name in the mud like you did to mine. Even though your evidence is years old and the rest is false (Like that male Seven bit that I had to defend myself on- which is viewable on the piece's information section, or the Jacky Daniels'? I saw the comments on the other artist's friends page and when I tried to go to your facebook to see if it was there- there are screenshots I have of nothing showing up on my end. So it was either deleted, or private or I don't know, but I've already created a Jack Daniel's character- it's Seven. Old number 7? But I decided I wanted an even more Jack-ish character after Tamyra's cat puns on tumblr. Which I think I mentioned in the sub info but honestly none of this matters.)

This is seriously sick.
Stop using my art, it's not for "my ex" or in other words the other artist, to use. You should both stop stalking me as well. Because evidence shows that my themes and poses keep showing up on your end, but none of yours show up on mine. (And there's a reason for that- I don't draw inspiration from those that leech it from me. Or used to, whichever.)

I know it was you who attacked me and my commenters below. I know, because I know you. But it's also so convenient that your page, with the traced art of mine, was last accessed four hours ago (around 5AM) which is when the mule account was created and also when the comments were made.
You're still hiding, saying you're my ex and that the other artist is 'innocently sleeping and has to wake up to this' but you're not doing it well enough.
Doesn't matter though, it really doesn't I'm not being sarcastic- I won't hold it against you that you lied again.
All I want it you happy, to stop using my stuff and be happy with your own great talent. You know- just the other day I was thinking about how much I wished I could just call you and go out with you. That I would put aside all the pain you've put me through just to see you because I care about you (and talk about Steven Universe because I love it so much and after I posted about it I saw you post about it too- meaning you must adore it just as much) But I know in the past when I've tried to meet you you've avoided me or disappeared, and that's good. Because I shouldn't be paling around with you- I just don't think it's a good idea but I'm weak and soft hearted. So I'm sorry I had to make this journal- but this bitterness doesn't have to continue. It can die here.

But that's what's going on now.
I am really tired of this, and I know you are too. Prove me wrong, that you aren't all about being malicious and hurtful- go your separate way and I'll go mine, in art terms that is. We don't need this or each other, so it has to stop.

Gosh it feels like it's been a month since I've been able to sit down at the computer. Actually starting to get minorly irritated at things that are requiring my attention outside of art or communication online. But I'm about to take my little brother to his dental appointment but for whatever reason I have to be at the school at 2 despite the fact that he gets out at three-something. And I guess just sit in the parking lot then just sit in the waiting room until five? Aklfjs;dflkasjf

I have some paperwork to fill out and may try to draw what I can without character references in the waiting room. B-But then again probably not because tits n' ass isn't the most guardian appropriate things to be working on when you're waiting on your kid brother I guess aha?
I swear though, if anyone else asks me to do something for them or leave the house for the next few days I'll literally Merlin myself outta this world.

With that being said, I know a lot of people probably aren't looking for updates here but for now this is where I'm going to post before I leave here in a minute. I do have a LOT to say about the last few days, but surprisingly none of it has to do with the art theft.

I realized that I could be destructive, vengeful, ruthless, I could be a lot of things. I have so much evidence on my side- and while some think that I should mercilessly execute it, I don't feel okay with that.
Sure, it would prove my side unarguably and probably ruin the other person's image as well as any merit to things they say, but I think my point is proven without me having to do that.
And I don't want to bring someone else down-

I heard something yesterday that really touched my heart.

They said:

I'm no architect or mason, but it really hit home.
I don't want to be the building that tears down others, I want to focus on building myself. So that's why I'm not going to go down the path they have. It may be harder, not snuffing out the problem once and for all- but I have to hope that they might find some kindness and love and fill themselves with instead of dissatisfaction, jealousy, hatred, or bitterness.

I have no sympathy for people who blame the world and everyone else for their problems. But I do have endless forgiveness, and I don't see that as a weakness. (Just kinda inconvenient for me sometimes haha)

Anyway,
I expect this to be over now. And it had best be. Or I'll have to defend myself with the tomes of evidence and screenshots and timestamps that I have on my end, which can't all be falsely blamed on 'some anonymous ex- I mean friend- I mean admirer- I mean nameless faceless person- whose account was made the same time I was logging into my own account and I had no idea I was doing it'
I'm dropping you, and all of this nastiness. Let this be a clean slate- and lets keep it clean from now on.

In other words, thank you all so much for your support and kindness and concerns. I showed you parts of myself that were old, or shameful, and you accepted me anyway. I'd like to think it's because I've changed over the years and grown past all that- but for whatever reason, I have to thank you.

I will be replying to comments, notes, and (bless it really) the giftart some of you have given me to cheer me up. I don't know what I did right to come into contact with so many wonderful and genuine people but gosh I am so glad I did.

Anyway, I'll be making a new journal to talk about plans and other exciting stuff once I'm back from my brother's dental appointment. Hopefully my dad can still pick him up and take him home afterwards but I get the feeling plans will change and I'll wind up having to do that as well. BUT THAT'S THE LAST THING FOR NOW UNTIL MOTHERS DAY BECAUSE DAMN IT I HAVE PERSONAL STUFF TO DO AND ART I OWE AKDFJA:F

Literally just throwing this out there as part of my after-con announcement.

While I was at FWA a bunch of people were kinda shocked about me not having a twitter- because apparently that's a good outlet for art. I always looked at twitter in a really negative light, but people were talking to me about how it's great for WIP shots or scrappy doodles that you might not want clogging up your gallery.

(Also instead of posting albums of photos with me and the art buds on here, I can just throw a picture or two on twitter and it won't be out of place or disruptive like I feel it may be on here)

SO while this is mostly for commissioners who ordered traditional work and would like to see any WIP shots they asked for when ordering, any of my watchers are hella welcome to visit too if you're into that kinda thing 8D;; I know not everyone is- so the option is totally up to you guys.

DIGITAL ART REVAMP

In other updateish news, I have a new way of doing digital art that I'll explain later- really excited but also kinda scared of this new thing- but I hope it will improve the way I work and also how fast I work. The tablet I've had for the last sevenish years is obviously reliable, but it's also VERY OLD and malfunctions often.

It's also incredibly hard to maneuver or work on, both because of it's weight and built. Every time I work on you guys digital stuff- it's been hunched up in the corner of our bed, trying to stuff pillows under the lap desk/tablet and around me to be able to draw at the right angle.
Then the damn thing always slips or overheats and it's just a shitty experience.

SO EXCITED FOR THIS NEW THING BUT I DON'T WANNA OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCE THE DETAILS UNTIL I'VE ACTUALLY SET IT UP.

COMMISSION MAILING PREP

And in ways of traditional art, all mailing supplies have been bought. I thought the FWA commissions would take me longer to work on but when I'm actually able to sit down and focus on them- they go by pretty fast.

I was able to do four today, which will be posted tomorrow- and started a fifth. I'd like to mail everything at once if I can get it all done within two weeks- but if it drags on for longer then I will mail things in batches so people aren't waiting longer for art that's already finished.

Either way I'll be letting yous guise know!

FWA Aftermath & Info

Hey duderuses and uteruses!

I'm officially back home and after taking an eternity to cuddle the mousebabs I'm finally signing in to give you all some updates and stuff. The wisteria was dying as I was leaving so it's kinda sad af to come home to no more purple mysticalmagicplants but at least it bloomed before and not while I was outta here. I guess I should also say some bits about the con itself? But I sorta wanna try to draw out the funnier more memorable parts and post those as ridic doodles for laughs.

FWA COMMISSION QUEUE

At the convention I had a good amount of take-home orders requested. But on top of the take-home orders, there are (I believe- could be one less or one more) three orders that I was attempting to finish at the convention but ran out of time to do so. O-or like that one that I finished but chaos led to me not being able to hand it off to the commissioner before we had to leave.

There are also a few commissions that were paid for via paypal- and I'll need to get started tomorrow organizing that information and checking off who I received payment from. (As well as sending out an invoice)

I'll also be messaging all commissioners whose orders became take-homes unintentionally, and let them know that I am posting information and updates on here in case they haven't come across this journal and are waiting on a text instead.

Literally nothing has changed aside from commissions being closed so I can knock out the list. But I wanted to add this here so yous guise know you're not forgotten or something awful like that!

WORK SCHEDULE

Normally I hate these sort of things because I can't commit to the layout I design and end up switching everything around but either way- work's gonna be getting done in these next few weeks.

FRI - MISC work (probably will fluctuate every other week between FA and FWA or be a mix of the two)

FWA BLIP

UUUHHH SSSOOOO this convention was the bomb. Aside from Sin. I literally got to see everyone I wanted to see. Maybe not for as long as I would have liked because I was mad busy- but it was a definite step up from last year.
MOVIN' ON UP YEAH.

Like I said earlier there are paragraphs I could write about the funny shit that happened or whatever else, but I'm going to TRYYY to share that through crapdoodles that will hopefully make you pals laugh as much as it made the rest of us who were livin' the moment laugh. But as a highlight I did get to hangout with the best art group in the everloving world, got to meet and (total babes lemme tell ya YEESH) And made a hella bunch of new friends as well as running into old buds too!

I have tons of photostuff from the trip and I'm pretty convinced on making an album and posting it/tagging all the awesome peeps. But that will have to wait until some time that isn't tonight because I am literally the embodiment of the word 'nope' right now. The exhaustion is real guys, it's freakin' real.

THE PLAN, STAN

-Wake the cockadoodledoo up tomorrow
-Unpack/put away stuff like a responsible adult (what is?)
-Mark off FWA commissions from the notebook that have been given out
-Connect Paypal payments with commission information to confirm what's been paid for or not paid for

It's been a busy Tuesday and Wednesday guys, holy jeez.

-Photos from FWA stuffed into a folder on my computer (to be uploaded later)

Now I'm in the process of messaging all FWA commissioners to let them know about this journal and how they can find any/all updates here. Aside from WIP shots that, if requested, are texted to them privately.

-All FWA commissioners have been texted to notify them about this journal and my work schedule

Inbetween that, tonight I'm planning on trying to consolidate all commission refs from FWA into a single folder to promote faster work on my end instead of searching between emails, user galleries, hard copies, texts, and whatever else.

-All FWA refs have been organized and added to a single folder

~~I'm also going to dive into my inbox here and read new notes/clean it up a bit so I can focus better.~~

Otherstuff:

Okay guys so I've been on a metaphorical diving board for days now. WEEKS NOW. I am finally getting to a point where I'm feeling like I'm not a total trashboat waste-of-space for wanting to take personal time to kind of reset and get my mind right. But that doesn't mean I don't feel extremely driven to either constantly update yous guise or chip away at work even when I may be having bad days.

So speaking of that diving board- I have been sitting here wondering when I should jump back into things. Kind of like that scene from Elf where Buddy is terrified as shit of the escalator and keeps waiting to get on it.

Now that I'm here it's sort of playing out like this but I'M HERE SO I DID THE THING AND ANXIETY ASIDE I'M HAPPY TO BE BACK YES.

And at first I had all this stuff to tell you guys day-to-day, pretty much just stuff I was up to or what was going on in my life or why I was insanely happy or super down y'know- non-consequential stuff that no one probably wants to hear anyway- but it's kind of blowing my mind how I waited so long to say any of it that I can't remember half of what's happened.

But to give you a stream-of-conscience runthrough:

-I made myself really angry by turning around in the bathroom with my toothbrush sticking out of my mouth and snatching that shit right on the doorframe ouch

-Miles died on the 12th and for a while afterwards I was really out of sorts and blank trying to sort out my feelings

-I got a Jurassic Park sticker for my car's rear window so now every time I'm parked I'm JURASSIC PARKED AAHAHAHAHAh

-I made Mile's wife a basket of giftstuff and went to sneakily drop it off on her porch but she caught me and it was probably one of the most real and heartbreaking and inspiring afternoons of my life when I got to come in and talk with her for a while

-Been reading 'Tuesdays with Morrie' because of Miles/his wife and it's an amazing book

-Going to watch the Fault In Our Stars because of Miles/his wife probably tonight

-Watched the Oscars for the first time ever after going to dad's to make everyone a spaghetti dinner and that was p cool

-Also we ate so many girl scout cookies while watching the Oscars it's almost embarrassing how many empty boxes there are now oops

-Bought myself a Baymax plushie as my personal Valentine's present to myself

-Got to go to Savannah for the first time in months after my best friend offered to take me for free

-I might be going to Florida to kayak at the beach with the sharks and in the springs with the alligators

-My not-to-myself Valentine's present was an adorable baby mouse. I'm not really one to like the idea of losing a pet and replacing it (cause' in my opinion they aren't replaceable)- but she's a huge sweetheart and it's nice to have three mousebabs again for the first time since Calhoun passed. Her name is Valentine and she's so...valen-tiny OOOHHHHH

-I was also given a Wisteria Yankee Candle and I flipped my frick when I saw it because Wisteria is my favorite 'wild flower'

-Charlie the hedgehog floated on her back for the first time ever during bathtime. But then I think our excitement scared her and she promptly flipped out

-I made a chalkboard themed 'good days' mason jar thing for that '365 Positivity' challenge. I don't write a note to put in there every day, but the jist of it is that you write down something happy or funny or ridiculous that happened that day and put it in the jar. Then at the end of the year open it and read all the little notes.

-I painted an octolion/cephalion for someone on a whim and now I want to do more paintings like this.

-I now have a doormat that says 'Work like a Captain, Play like a Pirate' and it's so relevant that it'll probably be what I'll want written on my headstone.

-I held a living starfish on the beach and that was one of the most therapeutic moments of my life, it was hella cute

-My friend gave me a "tiny shark with a fricken' laser on it's head". It's just a laser pointer and before then I never thought I'd need it but now I know I do.

-Galaxy bath bombs are really nice and everyone who considers one should try it at least once

-I've been drawing a lot of dinosaurs

-And kaiju

-Started packing up stuff we don't use everyday for the move. This is as intimidating as it is exciting.

And I'm sure there's more- but talking about yourself gets really redundant and boring after a while so thanks fer' reading guys and I hope you're all doing swell!

Because It's November The Seventeenth

Commissions: Closed | Art Trades: Closed | Collabs: Never | Requests: 1000 Nopes ____________________________________________________________ Actually there's nothing special about November the 17th and I was going to title this after a Yankee Candle (November Rain ohoho) But then I remembered this little gem of a title and I think the 'Because it's _____ the _____' journals are gonna become a thing around here. Since y'know, I suck at coming up with cool titles. AndEverythingElseHhh COMMISSIONS -Commissions that are left to do are listed in my journal -Many of these are AUTUMN THEMED COMMISSIONS, and as we all know, Autumn is coming to an end on December 21st. I'm looking to work on several (3-5) commissions a day, and for days when my carpal tunnel is giving me crap or my inspiration is lagging, I'm going to still push myself to draw these up traditionally as sketches then digitally draw over them. I'm looking to set myself a deadline on December 1st as motivation. -I won't be working on November 22nd & Whichever day we go to see Ashley and her husband- To be announced. (I mentioned them a while back, he is the man who used to be my General Manager but is losing his batter with Clear Cell Sarcoma Cancer and has a few weeks left.) -For anyone interested in getting a commission done by me, I will announce reopenings once I am closer to the end of my current commission list. I'm thinking of playing around with color themes as well. Not sure if any of you guys are into set-color Christmas stuff, but I'm into the 'Cold Christmas' colors. HOWEVER, this year I've thrown red up in there. It's weird, because my OCD sees the blue and red together and wants to separate them, but I am happy with what little I have. Cold Christmas: Blues, Silver, White Traditional Christmas: Reds, Silver/Gold, White, Ivory, Greens Rustic Christmas: Browns, Beiges, Ivory, Greens Elegant Christmas: Gold, Silver, Ivory, Greens Other: Whatever the flip you want! ;D Honestly, I'm just happy that WBBQ has been playing Christmas music since the 4th. The station doesn't change from that, fricksake it makes me feel so nostalgic and happy. I have something else to add to this- but I'll be tossing that in later. Alright uteruses and duderuses, it's that time again.
And this time around, you have TWO commission style options-
Here we go!

HOW TO COMMISSION ME

1. Fill out one of the forms below (if you are ordering multiple commissions, fill out a form for each commission you'd like to get)

2. Note me your filled out form (Please do not note me multiple times before I am able to reply, I have a spastic brain and my attention span with putting scattered information together is nonexistent. On that note, do not delete/clear responses between notes- pls keep it all in one place ;v; )

3. I accept payment up front and in full, and once I accept your commission that's the greenlight for you to send the funds through paypal. (I do not put your name on the commission list or start working on your commission(s) until payment is received.)

4. Dance if you want to, you can leave your friends behind.

7. I am only accepting COLORED SKETCH COMMISSIONS, REFERENCE SHEET COMMISSIONS, and CHIBI COMMISSIONS at this time.

8. I currently don't have a slot-limit posted, but if I feel I'm taking on too many commissions I will level out and close them temporarily- but it's a touch and go sort of thing right now.

9. DO NOT SEND PAYMENT UNTIL AFTER I'VE ACCEPTED YOUR COMMISSION. After I ask you what Paypal email/name I can be expecting to see from you- you are free to send the payment over.

✖ For a short time, you can get a Fall/Autumn/Halloween/Day of the Dead commission from me!

✖ With these themed commissions, you have very minimal input in how the commission is set up.

✖ You can get one of two types of themed commissions: Thigh-Up Colored Sketch or Chibi

✖ With these commissions, you essentially just have to pick out your theme, give me your character reference, and tell me what style you want drawn (Sketch or Chibi)

✖ In the commission themes list, if multiple themes are listed under the same number separated by a "/", you can choose ONE of the themes from that number (They were too similar to be listed under their own new numbers)

✖ "Trick" means your commission will be more creepy/gorey/scary

SO DOES ANYONE WANT A FREE WAIST-UP COLORED SKETCH? Why am I offering free stuff? Because I kinda wanna draw something free for someone and take a super mini break from drawing personal stuff. Commission Reopening, Autumn Style

Plot Twist, LA is going to throw more Halloween in you guys faces. NotReallyAPlotTwistAtAllButMovingOn- Not only did I forget what day it was today (like every day) but at one point when I was driving to my dad's I forgot what freaking part of the year it was. I was sitting there thinking about where in the hell I can find a formal dress for this event and for a split second I was like: Oh yeah, it's getting close to prom right? Stores will be filled to the brim with dress selectionados. EENNGH. I was horribly wrong. And that is no bueno, so here's to getting a little more focused. Therefore in the spirit of being more organized- I'm gonna put on my announcement captain's hat and try my best to forewarn er uh--mention to you guys ahead of time when I'll be offering commission slot stuff. C O M M I S S I O N R E O P E N I N G S l2EDPANDA COMMISSIONS WILL BE OPENING ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND. I was going to open them right chyneaow- but there are a couple of things I have to do this week that I really don't want mixing with commission time and slowing me down on art progress. -Commissions that are left to do are listed in my journal



-I plan on forcing myself to stop drawing anything but commissions. Or at LEAST only draw one personal art for every five commissions I get done. Self control, activate!



-For anyone interested in getting a commission done by me, I will be announcing reopenings once I am closer to the end of this current commission list (lets say, maybe around the 'five commissions left' mark?)

SO GUYS UH, 

I have this thing- where I've always wanted to draw up a silly, plotless, anything-goes comic for fun. I pretty much just wanted to draw something that was slam packed with jokes that were tied together with uh..more jokes.

And funny stuff.

And laughs.



I also wanted it to be something simple, 

So- A while back I drew Seven in Regular Show style. She was called Axel, but now that Axel McThunderThighs is a big part of my art- I'm just gonna call her Seven.

I wanna throw a bunch of my friends in the comic. Now, this is all for fun. And it's non-profit, so I won't be able to put everybody ever in the history of ever in there.

There will likely be either canon or sometimes noncanon interactions between the actual show's characters and these characters. Also, since there are humans, animals, and bubblegum machines in the show your character can be anything. 

However, you don't have to make up a new character for this if I've put your name up there. You can request a certain character- but you don't have to. Chances are I've already associated one of your main characters with you and will be drawing that one.
