Hello everyone! It's finally time for a new journal.

After 20 excruciatingly long months, this week I finally moved into my new house!! The construction was a nightmare and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone ever LOL I'm so glad it's over. That doesn't mean the house is finished though, I still have a lot of work to do especially on my front and back yard. We took care of the most important parts of the house so that I could live here comfortably but some stuff's gonna have to wait, I just have to deal with a lot of dust for now. So far things have gone mostly well, the dogs are having a blast exploring the new place, I got most of my stuff unpacked already, I just haven't had much luck with internet providers yet, that'll have to wait until next week. I've been super busy packing, unpacking, setting things up, organizing, cleaning and all that, but I will be getting back to commissions as soon as I can! My queue is very short anyway, so there shouldn't be any big delays.

In other news, for the past couple weeks I've been doing some thinking regarding my name. Not username, I mean my actual name. Ever since I started my transition nearly 8 years ago I've been going by my chosen name online, offline, everywhere. That of course is great! I'm happy to be accepted and respected for who I am, by friends, family and strangers. My chosen name became my legal name shortly after and I even prefered to be called by it online rather than my fursona's name like most furries do. But that started to change some time ago. I think it started a few years ago when I made a new fursona (Killu), I tried for a while to impose that name on my online personality but it didn't really catch on. Later I made Lynk (my current icon) and the same thing happened. I even came up with a new username to separate my personal account from the vore stuff, and tried to have that as my new name again, but very few people ever called me Lynk. It never really bothered me much because I like my name but I do feel like it's time to make some definitive change. Except I decided to continue the trend of separating myself from my fursonas, so their names are not changing, and I'm obviously not gonna change my legal name again, instead I just want people to call me by a new name. Does that make sense? Maybe not LOL but in any case, from this point on my name is Kris. If you knew me by my legal name, I'd appreciate it if you could make an effort to not use that name anymore, but I'm not gonna be upset if you can't. My legal name is not a dead name, but I want it to be just my legal name. I'm not gonna change this username either since it's become my main "brand name" for art, but please don't shorten it to Lee or Leeo when refering to me anymore. Just call me Kris. I'm not gonna sign my art with my name anymore either, I'll use a small watermark with my username instead.

Anyway! Long and rambly journal as usual. I could be typing for another hour to explain why I chose this name but it's not important so I'm not gonna do it dfgdjf. I sincerely appreciate you for taking the time to read this far! I'm very excited about this new beginning in my life, moving to my own house has always been my biggest dream and it's crazy to think I was able to get this far with just furry art (and a shitton of help from my parents lol), so from the bottom of my heart, thank YOU for making my dream come true! I mean it! I'm extremely privileged to be where I am today and I really don't take it for granted.

TLDR: I've moved into my new house and my name is now Kris. Please don't call me by my legal name anymore.

So you may remember about two months ago twitter got completely blocked in Brazil due to some legal shit. I was away from twitter for about a month until the ban got lifted, after that I resumed my usual activity and posted everything I couldn't post before. All good, right?

Clearly not. Aside from one or two posts, I noticed most of my stuff wasn't getting as much traction as it used to before, ESPECIALLY posts advertising commissions. I know this has been an issue for artists on twitter for a very long time, but I was fortunate enough to never really feel that effect. I've always had plenty of RTs and likes, which kept my posts going and showing for my followers, although still a lower reach than you'd expect from a 10k follower account. Back when I made an art giveaway to celebrate that follower milestone, I had a lot of people tell me they didn't even see the giveaway post despite me RTing it almost daily. On my last commission opening I had no access to twitter, so I expected fewer people to apply. That turned out to be true, but now I do have twitter again and I'm not getting any more commission applications than I did last time. In fact most applications seem to be coming from telegram users instead.

Now, since the ban a couple months ago, I completely moved my personal account from twitter to bluesky and never came back. I already disliked twitter, but chose to stay because that's where everyone else was, but with twitter constantly getting worse (especially now) a lot of people moved to bluesky as well, very few still remain exclusively on twitter, sooo it became mostly unnecessary for me. And after some thought on the matter, I decided I will no longer be posting art or anything else on twitter. I'll close my DMs too, so if you need to contact me do it somewhere else. Sucks that it has come to this, despite everything I genuinely think twitter used to be a good place to advertise and sell my art not too long ago, but that changed very quickly. Keep in mind I will not make a vore account on bluesky, my vore content will remain exclusive to FA and my telegram channel (I invite you to follow me there if you haven't yet).

I made a post about this on twitter last night but I don't trust it'll show for many people, so I'm posting here too for more visibility. Also PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE beware of possible impersonators! If anybody on twitter OR bsky tries to sell you anything under the name Leeomon, IT IS NOT ME. I've never known of this happening with my name so far, but I see it happenning frequently with many other artists, so keep that in mind just in case! I've kept this all bottled up for a long time and was trying to get over it on my own but it's not happening. I don't even know where to start lol

So uh. I'm tired. Really tired.

If you've been keeping up with my past journals you may remember that I moved out of my little apartment early this year back into my parents' house while I'm dealing with building my own house because that was the only affordable option for me. The whole process up until now has been really fucking slow, stressful and a lot more expensive than I anticipated, and the construction only really started this week. It's a short turnaround but it still took way too long to even start, so I'm not moving in any soon. My plan was to stay with my parents for no longer than six months, now it's looking like it'll be well over a year. And while I thought staying with them would make it easier for me to keep on top of work and bills, it's actually the very opposite. I already don't have enough money to pay off the house anymore, which brings me to the next and most relevant topic. Burnout.

I'm sure the whole stress mentioned above is intensifying this feeling, but yeah, it's bad. Drawing has become increasingly difficult, I can't stay focused for longer than an hour, I'm not at all satisfied with the stuff I finish, and surprise, surprise, it's especially bad when it comes to vore art. Whenever I'm working on a commission I sketch down the base pose first, and as soon as I have to turn it into a vore thing I immediately lose interest in continuing. Reading through my commission forms is depressing, not because I don't get enough people interested, but because all the prompts look the same to me. All my art looks the same. I'm so bored of it, but vore doesn't really allow for much artistic creativity, and the more "creative" or alternative types of vore don't interest me at all. My personal preferences for vore are very limited, and I can't bring myself to draw anything too far outside that bubble just to appease my audience. Hell, if even drawing the stuff that I'm into is already causing my so much stress, imagine how bad it'd be if I was drawing something I don't even like. Some people may argue "well that's your job, you can't always do only things that you like", and that's true to some extent, but when it comes to art it feels really shitty to draw stuff I don't like just for money. Art is supposed to be made with passion, and I'm really not passionate about what I'm doing right now, and I think it shows. That doesn't mean I hate drawing, or vore. I like both, but this burnout is making it hard for me to enjoy things.

So what now? I can't just stop, or take a vacation, or whatever. Like I said before, my savings are already not enough and I need to fix that asap. Getting another job would probably only make things more difficult because nothing I'm qualified enough to do would pay half as much as what I make through art, and part-time jobs are not really a thing here. Honestly I'm kind of at a loss right now. I want to continue making art but I really don't wanna draw so much vore anymore. My gallery doens't bring me any joy or pride, I want to create something I'm proud of. I can't even explain how it feels to get compliments on my art, when the only thing I feel after finishing something is relief for getting it out of the queue. I honestly never felt like I belonged in the vore community no matter how many followers I have or how many people want to chat with me. I'm very humbled and thankful for everything you've given me, but it always felt undeserving. There's so many other artists out there who are better and more passionate than me, and who are not always getting the attention they deserve. It all feels really unfair.

Anyway. Sorry, I just don't know how to explain this without being as honest as I can be, plus I feel like you deserve to know since you're the ones paying for my art. I became a vore artist by choice, and I need to make it clear that I don't regret that choice. I'm just tired and ready to move on. I don't plan on completely abandoning my vore content, I'll keep doing it for as long as I need, and when I don't need it anymore I'll keep doing it whenever I want. I'll keep doing my best on your commissions for now, even if it doesn't give me the satisfaction I hoped for as an artist. As long as you, the customer, are happy with what you get, that's good enough for me. Also, if you're a long time follower I know I probably sound like a broken record to you right now, I've been in this position multiple times before, and I guess that just goes to show how badly I need a change. I just had nowhere to run to before, I even tried dedicating myself to making fursuits a while back but that didn't last very long and I was once again stuck with vore art as my only option for income. Sometimes I feel like I can keep doing this forever, but it's very clear to me now that if I do I'll never be truly happy.

I supppose that's all for now. I'll still be here, I'll still do vore commissions, but my hope is to slowly transition into other types of content. Maybe I'll have some YCHs up soon, maybe I'll eventually move to a fresh new account. We'll see what happens. And btw I completely understand if what I wrote here upsets you and if you want to unfollow me. That's fine. Like I said, there are many other artists who deserve the attention instead of me, go support them too. I need time to find myself again.

I just want my house. I miss my freedom. I miss being with my dogs all day. I'm so sick of being in this house.

If you're on twitter you might've heard about this already, but long story short, twitter has been blocked in Brazil as a result of disagreement betweet Elmo and the supreme court of Brazil. It most likely will not be a permanent thing, but this discourse has been going on for quite some time now and finally it came down to a nationwide block, meaning no one in Brazil has access to twitter right now. They also threatened to fine people a ridiculous amount for using any VPN to access twitter (tho I'm not sure how they expect to track this).

So what now? Now we wait lol. To be quite honest I don't really mind, I hate what twitter has become in the last few years and I genuinely think we're better off without it, but I understand tons of people (myself included) used it to sell our silly little arts and pay our stupid little bills and stay alive. I had just reached 10k followers over there and losing that does sting a bit, but luckily I have alternatives so I'm not too worried. If you followed other brazilian artists make sure to support them outside of twitter now more than ever, cause we don't know how long this will last. As for me, I'll continue posting here and on my telegram channel. I'm also on bluesky and instagram (@/wildlynkk), but those accounts are for sfw art only. Feel free to follow me wherever it's more convenient for you!

As for some life updates, I'm taking the steps towards building my house but the actual construction hasn't started yet, there's a lotttt of little things to take care of before that can happen. I'm hoping to sign the contract with the construction company very soon so we can start building next month! It goes without saying that everything about this is stressful and costly, so any help I can get right now seriously means a lot ;w;

Hello!

If you remember in my last update journal I mentioned I'd be moving sometime soon but didn't quite have the date yet. Well, the time has come and I need to free up my apartment in the next few weeks! The full story is a little more complicated, so for the sake of transparency bear with me for a little bit.

Let me start by saying the real estate business where I live is a little bit different from what I know about the north hemisphere, and I'm in a very privileged situation of owning my own apartment thanks to my family's help. I've been planning to move out of this apartment into a house for a couple years and only now I feel somewhat prepared to handle the financial side of it, so at the end of last year I sold my apartment and I've have been looking for a new house since way before that. The problem is, I couldn't find one that I could afford that fit all my criteria, so instead I'll be buying a plot of land and building a house from scratch (trust me, it's worth it). I already found a perfect place (although sales transactions have not quite been settled yet cause banks hate me), but of course building a house takes time, and I need to free my apartment very soon, so for the time being I'll be staying with my parents until I'm able to move out for good. During that time I'll be working my butt off to make as much money as possible to put towards the house, and this is where I'll need your help.

Very soon I'll be open for commission again, but other than that I have a donation drive going on right now (right here) which so far hasn't been very successful thanks to the terrible time I chose to start it (holiday season, big cons happening, etc) but I'm super grateful for the donations so far! We're a little over half-way through the first goal and I'll be making a new update to promote it soon. I'm also thinking about making a new multi-slot YCH soon, AND I also have a t-shirt design available at Slosh.dog! I've been meaning to make an advertisement post for that tshirt but I keep forgetting lol. Buying the tee directly supports both me and the store itself, which is run by the lovely theTWFZ (who's also in need of help right now, so GO SUPPORT THE SHOP).

Hi all!

I haven't written a journal like this in quite some time and possibly the first one in years that's not about me going on hiatus lol, although technically speaking I do need to address a short break I'll be taking very soon cause next week I'll be having my top surgery! The surgery is scheduled for the 12th of october, and I'm not sure how long recovery will keep me away from work. The full recovery process is gonna take months, of course, and it might slow me down a bit, but I should be able to get back to work no problem after the first week or so. I'm doing my best to finish everything in my queue before that day, but just in case I can't do it, please understand there'll be a bit of a delay 😭 As for when I'll be open for commissions again, only time will tell.

Which brings me to my next topic. I'm thinking of starting a fundraiser of sorts to help me with moving costs. This is a less urgent matter because I still don't have a date for when it'll happen, but it's something I've been preparing for for quite some time now and I'm hoping to achieve before the end of the year. I currently live on a small apartment with two dogs, a fish tank and dozens of plants and I'm in desperate need for more space (and also to get away from this insufferable city), so I'll be moving to a house as soon as possible, and while I do have a fair amount saved up it's still not quite enough. Moving is very expensive, as I'm sure you all know, so the more money I'm able to save in advance the least stressful the process will be. I'll probably make another vore/WG donation drive sometime soon, as well as YCHs and maybe adopts? I'm open to new ideas as well if you'd like to suggest something!

To be honest I might start offering art commissions more regularly again from now on since I've stopped making fursuits and still don't really have much of an alternative option for income. Now that my queue is clear I can say something that's been on the back of my mind for the last month or so. While working on this last batch of commissions, it's become fully clear to me that I no longer want to work with art commissions, it's no longer something I enjoy doing or something I can feel proud of, vore or not. I know some years ago I talked about something similar, and after I started making fursuits as my main source of income I felt like I could keep doing art comms on the side, however now I realize that drawing has become incredibly tedious for me, and it feels unfair to my customers to deliver something I'm not passionate about. For that reason I've decided to stop offering art commissions. That doesn't mean I'll stop drawing forever, I might even offer YCHs every once in a while when I'm in the mood or if an emergency comes up, but regular commission slots opening will no longer be a thing. I know this might be disappointing news to some, but I hope you all understand.

That said, I wanna once again thank you all for sticking around for as long as you did, and for the immense amount of support I've got for my work. It honestly still baffles me how many people enjoy my art and how generous you all have been over the years, I'm so sincerely grateful for everything you've given me! This community allowed me to grow so much as an artist, and it's bittersweet to leave it behind, but it's time for me to move on. So thank you all so much, and I hope I'll still see you in the rare occasional new art I might post in the future hahah
