Well, I just realized that I still had a front page journal post up bashing an artist for skipping out on a commission and whatdya know, they came through. Late is better than never so yeah, false alarm everybody. Go about your daily business. And also... happy kumquat. That is all.

Does anyone know how to get in contact with The Artful Dodger? I commissioned a badge from her at MFF, things came up so it wasn't done on time and now yeah... the business card linking to an FA account doesn't work and I'm hoping to talk to her about either getting the badge or a refund. Does anybody know anybody or am I out twenty bucks and generally screwed?

Normally not a big deal but seeing as how it was a gift for a friend and that twenty represents half my life savings at this point, it'd be nice to either get something or my money back >.>

Holy crap, despite my art absence I somehow managed to hit my first milestone as an FA artist... 50 watches! That lovely feat was accomplished by :icon lilbluecolt: so he'll be rewarded with a gift piece of his choice! Thanks everyone. It may not be much but it's still kind of nice knowing at least a few people out there might see what my brain churns out from time to time.

Here's hoping that in the near future I can get back on an art kick. Student teaching has been sucking up every spare moment of my free time and then some. I've even got a couple scans left over and almost ready to post after some minor editing and clean-up and I haven't even managed to do that. Damn but does having a big kid job suck.

On the note of an art kick... any suggestions from anyone as to what I should be trying to churn out? I'm afraid my creative well has run a bit dry. I won't guarantee that suggestions will make it onto paper but hey, you might get what amounts to a free commission if you ask pretty please =p

So... I seem to have surpassed 500 page views. Now, as is the tradition, I'll certainly end up offering a gift sketch for whoever hits the 1k mark but it got me thinking. Could I make money at this, even just as a laugh to see if I could?

I've never hired myself out for commissions before because I've always viewed my art as more of a fun outlet than a hobby or job and don't usually do well when I HAVE to produce something. That being said, I do feel I've been getting better of late and I was just curious: If I were to offer, would anyone be interested in possibly trying to get a commission from me? It wouldn't be expensive though I admit I have no idea what I should be charging so price would be negotiable. This is more a theoretical rant than anything at this point but the question remains... would you be interested in hiring me?

Alright everyone, I've had a couple people poking me to post new art since my computer took a crap (should be fixed in another week or two I hope) but I haven't been able to do anything about it until now!!! *dun dun duuuuh!* I found out the university library has a rather nice scanner so I went ahead and scanned in all of my clean art. woohoo for the good news! But now for the bad...

Well, the first and rather obvious is that there is no pron. *sad face* Yes, yes, tragic I know. Especially because I went through a month phase where I just did figure studies of backsides and stomachs. They'll get scanned and added once I have my own computer and scanner working so as not to draw too many raised eyebrows or angry mobs. The second piece of bad news... this damn computer doesn't have image editing software! When I scanned the images, I had a ton to get through (52 scans all told) so I just got them saved onto my flash drive as quickly as I could without resizing them to post. So now until I take some time upstairs in lab resizing all the images, I can't post them! A minor detail but it might be a few days before I find that kind of free time.

So the long and short of it bitches and studs... my art is scanned and will be posted soon! I promise! Once I have everything ready to go I'll probably post a handful every couple of days until I've gotten them all up. For everyone who's been patient or encouraging with me, thank you sincerely. It helps to know a few people are at least mildly curious about what you've been producing =)

Well, seeing as how the semester is fast drawing to a close, I went back through my gigantic notebook from all my classes searching for interesting and amusing doodles. I found quite a few nifty ones and my usual routine is as follows...

So I was just wondering... would anyone be interested in me actually scanning some of them and posting for all of FA to see? They're on lined notebook paper and usually rather small (margins, top of the page, worked into evil and exceedingly nasty organic chemistry molecule sketches) so the quality isn't the best but honestly, I think sometimes I do my best work when I don't feel the pressure to make something decent.
