So, do all the seasons in Pokémon happen within like 4 months? I know it's a kid's show and a suspension of logic is required. I suppose they feel that the new generation of Pokémon fans wouldn't care or know about the older series regardless. But, I'd like to give kids more credit, and believe that they would call bullshit on him still being 10 years old while having traveled ALL over the world, defeated EVERY Gym Leader, and caught hundreds of Pokémon with a Pikachu that should be as powerful as a Legendary by now.

I think the world is ready for a Fourteen year old Ash...Even though he should be about twenty by now.

Ugh, I don't know how it is for most people, but I go through a cold in stages. First a sore throat, then a head cold and finally a chest cold. I'm currently in the middle to end of my head cold while just starting the beginning of my chest cold. This is pretty much the reason the updates have stopped. I'll be back into form once I rid myself of this annoying virus! *AAAHHHCHHHOOOO*

You know, if Fast and Furious hadn't already sucked every cool and ridiculous car stunt (Not to mention car race plot) off the face of the earth, I might have actually been excited for this.

I've been through a few other artists journals myself and I've noticed the same thing they have. It seems as though many users aren't commenting like they used too. Feels like that trend sort of started sometime earlier this year. And like them, I wonder, is there some sort of thing going down with people who make comments on pics?

I've never really had problems with rabble rousers or trouble watchers so I dunno If there's something up. But If anyone feels apprehension about commenting on my stuff, don't. Your feed back lets me know what about my artwork you particularly enjoy, whether or not I need to do more of a specific kind. or how a pic in conjunction with a story made you feel.

So don't be shy, I always enjoy reading comments.

The trailer for Phantom Pain gave me such a boner. I'm not talking about the gameplay or mechanics in it's self, but the photo-realism and cinematic scope of the trailer is just awe inspiring. Kojima knows how to grab your goat and get you pumped for something that COULD be a horrible game, but even the worst of the MGS serious were still good games.

I loved Samurai Pizza Cats, the chance to see the original uncut, unedited version was just too good to pass up. So I was quite excited when my copy came in the mail yesterday!

Well...There's one gripe I have with it, and many of you might have guessed it's the single most important thing in the whole deal. The Translation. Now for the average person, you'll have absolutely no problem with it at all. But for some one who's been watching subtitled anime and fan-subs (Which can sometimes be superior to official subs) for the better part of 15 years it's kind of a let down, but not a deal breaker.

The short end of it is that they get the job done for the most part. You'll never be confused about the story, and you'll always know whats going on. But ever so often you'll get the Chinese bootleg DVD syndrome with the translation. Remember when Anime got REALLY fucking huge at one point, and on-line discount anime dvd stores started popping up with whole Complete series for like $35 bucks? (Which back then was like a fucking steal!) Those were the Hong Kong "bootleg" DVDs. Apparently they weren't actually official or something, even though for certain releases that came to the U.S., they had both Japanese and English language dialogue. Well, try understanding what the hell is going on using subtitles that were double translated from Japanese to Chinese then to English.

Some actually came out pretty decent, others like this Sonic X and Shaman King dvds that I couldn't sell to save my life are just plain awful! Thankfully Pizza Cats never gets THAT bad. But I've run into bits and pieces of off translations in EVERY episode so far. Words like Shounen, which simply means young man, translated to "You Cad!". It's a lot of little things like that. When the old rich monkey tycoon says "Uki, Uki" which is the Japanese sound for a monkey's cry becomes "Look, look." which made absolutely no sense in the scene. Oh yeah, and one of my biggest gripes? All of the kanji that's presented on screen? Not translated at all. From signs, to robot names even when Yattaro (Speedy Cirviche) is reading a newspaper, which the camera then zooms in so yo can "read" it? Nothing. There's a lot more Kanji present than in the dubbed version, why the hell isn't it translated? I know it's not easy to translate these, but even fan-subbers translate the visible kanji in animes they work on.

Another problem I've recently just came across in the second disc, is the subtitles being off track. Meaning they're running too fast (Or too slow). I'm reading lines from two lines ahead in some cases. So far, it's only been in the end of episode 8 and all through 9. Hopefully I won't be dealing with to much of that in later episodes.

While I have my problems with it, this is a MUST HAVE for fans of the series. And I suggest you get it now while it's affordable. You see this shit right here? Look at those prices!! This damn thing went out of print a few years ago. It's apparently the rarest one out of the whole collection. I Bought volumes 1 - 3 a some time ago before it got this crazy and retailed for about $35. How pissed am I that volume 4 at a minimum is $139! And I guarantee you, at the very least, the Japanese version of Pizza Cats will be going the same route. It wasn't anywhere near as popular as Dragon Ball Z, so you know it's going to go out of print faster and few places seem to carry it.

You know, it's never really been hinted on the anime series which have pokemon constantly eating berries and kibble. But in Pokedex 3D Pro for the 3DS, the annotations are a different story.

The one for Golbat reads, "Flitting around in the dead of night, it sinks its fangs into its prey and drains a nearly fatal amount of blood." The one for Ekans, "It sneaks through grass without making a sound and strikes unsuspecting prey from behind." and Pidgeotto? "It flies over its wide territory searching for prey, downing it with its highly developed claws."

WTF? So apparently in the game shit gets real in Kanto and beyond. O_O

Okay, it's been quite a while since I've posted something. Those of you who've frequent my page know that this hardly means I'm not on here, I check my FA account everyday. It just means I've got shite to take care of in the real world. I've got an awesome group of watchers and the majority of you know they'll be art when I can get a chance, so first and for most, thanx for your patience and interest in my art! Seriously, some artist like to say whether they get praise or not it doesn't really factor, but the shit goes a long way for our self esteem even though they won't admit it! XD

So on the other side of things, got a job. Not cushy like my projectionist one, where I'd sketch up all sorts of deviancy while monitoring the quality of your motion picture experience, it's a day stocking deal. Gotta wake up at fucking 3:00am to make sure I can get there by 4:00am and help unload a truck full of boxes ranging from a few ounces to 175lbs and palettes full of boxes themselves. That first week sucked balls. Had a hard time getting acclimated, but I'm good now. I'll be getting power equipment training in a few days, so I'll be licensed to operate forklifts and such. Something I can use to get me in a higher paying job. Still sucks ass having to go to sleep around 7:00pm though.

Gonna try to get some art stuffs done, also give kind of an announcement on a little side project I've been doing. Some of you probably already know so don't say anything!
