NOLA babyfurs?
Posted 2 months agoHey crinkle cubs, are you out there? Are all New Orleans furs hostile towards babyfurs, or is it just the ones who host events? If you can see this, shout out!
Highway 61
Posted 3 months agoThere is a small highway that follows the path of the Mississippi river, called Highway 61.
It is known as the "blues highway", especially for the stretch that runs Memphis to New Orleans.
Where the highway ends on the Southern end, I have made my home, in that place they call "the big easy."
For over a year now, Muira can be found there playing live music in the streets and on various stages. Sometimes in uniform, sometimes in fursuit, sometimes in a diaper, or other skimpy fet-wear that shows off the once-controversial babyfur tattoo, but always with that look of insanity glued to his face.
So you see, there is life after death. After surviving a widowmaker heart attack, stroke, business failures, bankruptcy, motorcycle crashes, PTSD, there is still time for rebirth.
Although I warn you, each new release of the puppy gets a lil' bit crazier than the last.
It takes that kind of crazy to defeat the devil, who travels up and down highway 61, buying souls at the crossroads, funding his travels via church bingo.

What happened to Muira lately?
Posted 9 years agoWhat happened to Muira lately? The music happened.
Wind instruments, I can play them all, like a true jazz man. *jazz paws*
(Rewind) I played trumpet and euphonium in high school and college. Won a National Endowment for the Arts scholarship, played in symphony orchestras, worked in theatrical pit orchestras, performing arts camp, and some funky progressive jam bands.
After an extended break in the last few years of not playing any of my instruments regularly, I had a spiritual awakening and started a full year devoted to practicing the flute & piccolo every day at home.
The flute is my favorite. It can portray many feelings, fits in with many styles and doesn't need to be over-bearing like the sax or trumpet can be. I can play it anytime or anywhere I want as 'soft' is always an option, and it's ultra portable. I carry a flute with me everywhere I go in my 'man-purse' (diaper bag).
I managed a couple of brief appearances at the end of 2015 playing a little flute backup at a pet fundraiser and a Christmas party. Although brief, these performances were monumental just in the fact that I was playing an instrument in front of a live audience again.
I've been riding this wave of motivation, starting out my 2016 right off the bat as a great musical year. Working on new songs each week to add to my repertoire, and composing custom backing tracks in the studio.
As of this weekend, I have performed flute live to an audience 24.69% of the days in 2016. Saturday marking performance #20 and today being the 81st day of the year. All leading up to a major concert scheduled for May.

Posted 10 years agoMy diaper doesn't define me.
All my recent personal artistic endeavors have been outside the realm of furry and ABDL, and that's OK.
There is much more to experience in this world.
SO I AM LEAVING FOREVER!!!! (dun, dun ,duuuun)
LOL...not quite. (once you get a babyfur tattoo, you're in this shit for life yo!)
But it's still really funny to say in my corny idea of humor.
Actually, I want another one...
What was I talking about again?
Oh yeah, nothing of real value, I really just needed a fresh journal on my profile page as MP is like months behind us.

Another trip around the sun.
Posted 11 years agoCompleted another trip around the sun,
It sure has been a lot of fun.
I'll keep it short before I run,
as the next pass has already begun.
That's it...I'm done. :p

So, the tattoo shop I like is there.. the one that did my babyfur tattoo, receiver of lulz and dramas. I still want to get another.
What to get? I have most of the elements of my being covered in permanent artwork form, some subtle ...and some that come nowhere remotely close to being subtle.
please share your weird and wacky ideas here!

Year of the Dragon Luck.
Posted 13 years agoSo, there must be something to it.
Reaching back I was born in the year of the Dragon. The next one at age 12 brought significant changes as I started working for my grandfather that year on weekends at the flea market, something that blossomed into a lucrative business for a kid. I started with band/choir/theater something that had a major impact. The next one was 2000, a year that saw a major shift in everything for the better, job, education, living situation, musical and web ventures.
So here we are, another year of the dragon. My last post I resolved that within the year I would find not just a new job, but a new career...a major change.
That opportunity presented itself already, and not just a new job, but my own business.
So, lucky dragon powers...activate! I am quitting my job and opening a business of my own. A major risk, but without risk there is no chance of winning, and given the way the cards are falling ...I won't skip out on an opportunity like this and whine about "shoulda/coulda/woulda" for life.

Unable to Resolve Host/Unable to Host Resolve
Posted 13 years ago...or something like that.
So, usually I am all hipster-ific and say "I don't do new years resolutions, and set myself up for failure...blah blah blah" (yes I do verbalize the "blah blah blah" part)
But this go around, I thought about it long and hard. (*giggle* I said "long and hard")
I recon I wants me a new jorb. (yup)
Not another job of the same basic thing, but a change in career. Something less stressful, not dealing with governments at all, and not quite as formal.
I'm tired of not being able to be myself. I'd like to ditch the polo shirts and put the rest of my piercings back in. Revert to my stylish and mysterious ways. I'd like to work where it's ok to be gay (not rainbow-crapping flamey or anything, but not in fear and and treated poorly for such.)
The main deal above all is, I want what I am forced to do by day for survival to mean something greater. Money is not so much a concern for me. Neither is slaving for little appreciation to make some rich stuck-up yuppies even richer. I have a wealth of talents and an amazing resume...I've just not taken the chances in a while. To reach for the stars.
TL/DR my resolution thingiemabobber... to get another job this year, where I can be me, and that benefits society.

Christmas Concert
Posted 13 years agoTis year 2 of our new tradition, singing for old folks tucked away in "a home" on Christmas day.
This year in an all Dementia/Alzheimer's facility.
Unlike singing in a nightclub, a cliquey gay bar, or a stuck-up private club it 's really nice to perform where it's appreciated for a change.
I must practice.
*Belts out notes in operatic baritone*

Birthday Weekend Report
Posted 14 years agoSo, yeah. Yesterday was my birfday.
I wanted to do something for Saturday, so I would have a recovery time buffer. I was originally thinking about going fishing or sailing, something water related and meditative to ease my depressive angsty feelings lately. Watching the weather reports throughout the week, it looked like less desirable an option with the scattered thunderstorms increasing as Saturday approached.
So Saturday morning comes and I crawl out of bed around 11am and make coffee and get contemplating a new battle plan as the rains pour down outside. I got my present from Kuppy early, which was a new LG android phone that's quick and responsive as opposed to my last Samsung that was all buggy-freezy-crashy. So I hooked it up to compy and got busy playing and customizing. Looking around for something to do on the webs, I am reminded of the Flamingo Gay Resort up in St. Petersburg. It had been open for almost 2 years now since the old run-down Suncoast of similar design was tore down right up the street. The place has 6 bars, a restaurant, a big pool, and is a hotel, so no need to drive anywhere.
Dropped off the dog at her daycare/boarding place, and hit a nearby Goodwill looking for any "fab finds". Then stopped at a buffet for lunch. When I was little, there was a Duff's Buffet in a nearby town in Michigan. I remember going there frequently with my grandparents before they closed down, the mall became abandoned as new ones built up, and went through their own similar life cycles. After we moved to Florida, the next town over was home to the founders of the chain and they had a popular location there, and recently moved into a larger building of a failed Chinese buffet. So...amazing! After intense episode of gluttony, onward to St. Pete.
The place was smaller than expected, but still interesting. Two outside bars, a little tiki bar and a larger cabana bar, main bar, sports bar, dance club, and a dark dungeon/leather bar. Checked into the room and chilled a bit poolside, they had a bartender auction hosted by Ongina from RuPaul's Drag Race. It was entertaining to watch, but being a charity fundraiser the anty was too rich for my blood. Otherwise I told Kuppy we should bid on a bartender and use the 2 hours time to parade him around the resort in a diaper on collar/leash. >:3
I changed into a flashy Goodwill score uber-gay shirt and my new purple sparkly studded collar and we commenced the bar hopping. Obviously, we hit up the lil dark dungeon place the most, hitting up the inner places with decent air-conditioning to cool off in intervals of roaming. The bartenders at the places were stingy about giving out the birthday shots, except for the last place we hit up. It helped that the bartender there recognized us from the little Sarasota gay bar doing our Wednesday night karaoke gig. The older couple sitting there had overheard, and bought the next round. (Enter the point in the late night where Muira gets dizzy.)
Other random highlights of the evening included: getting pulled around a corner to try on a leather harness, because a guy wasn't sure he was putting it on his boyfriend correctly, a guy in a mermaid tail being dumped into the pool and swimming around, and a compulsive masterbater guy in swim trunks wandering around from place to place with a hand down them fapping to literally everything he saw.
So, yesterday we got some breakfast and with time to kill on the way home before we could pick up the dog, we stopped at a flea market, then a huge pawn shop, and Sam Ash for browsing time. Overall, it was definitely a chill time to remember.
Back home at night, I vegged out totally, and Kuppy did the homemade Italian cooking thing making ravioli with shrimp in a yummy vodka sauce.
TL:DR A rundown of weekend events. ..and now I am old :p

Rat a tat too
Posted 14 years agoThinking about adding another tattoo for my bday, but it must be way out there.
The last one: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2848523/
made WTF_FA, lulz.net, and Failblog.
It's gonna be kinda hard to top that.
So, perhaps some kind of contest. Like where the best weird-ass original tattoo design submitted wins a cash prize?
Would anybody be interested in participating in such a thing?

My Megaplex Report, 2011 edition.
Posted 14 years agoI've procrastinated on writing my con report. This one is gonna be short and sweet in comparison to my former long ramblings of happenings.
Just like every single other Orlando event, the tradition continues that something unexpected delays our arrival. This year it was Kuppy being held up by something for his work.
I packed on Friday morning, piss-poorly! I couldn't find my collars and the majority of my badges (they must be hanging out together somewhere). Drop my dog off at the doggie camp place, pick up a local furry hitch-hiker who needed a ride, bank stop, liqour store stop (booze is way overpriced around Mouse-world.), gas station stop, and off for some highway driving in a beater van with no air conditioning.
Get to hotel, get in room, see cub friends, meet more cub friends, wander, explore, eat cake, socialize, see Uncle Kage tell stories, watch minor drama, laugh off minor drama, setup karaoke, perform karaoke, tear down karaoke, back to room for socializing and drinking. Pass out.
Woke up in time to make the fursuit parade, wandered in suit and sweated buckets. Later in the day I suited again and took advantage of the photo-shoot. That was crazy cool, the photographer was creative in coming up with ideas and poses. Went with friends to Cracker Barrel for some country goodness, and supermarket run. Socialized, Did karaoke again by popular demand (but earlier), then I drank vodka like it was water for the rest of the night and was like wooooo!
The next morning I didn't want to move, but eventually did. Did the Shoney's Breakfast buffet tradition also, but my tum tum was in a bad state so mostly I just gulped down liquids.
At the Funday Pawpet show, I got a laugh for pulling out a pair of KP's boxer shorts during the audience participation story, then kinda embarrassed myself for a signed poster.
http://www.justin.tv/megaplex/b/291476402 (scene @ 1:14:45)
It was like a scavenger hunt type dealie whee they were calling out things that people might have on them, and first to show each thing gets signed poster.
So, all the sudden Mutt calls out the next item as "who has a diaper on?" Theres a bunch of other cubs sitting in the same area, but nobody's moving. Then before I knew it, I was standing and slowly making my way to the stage. Where Uncle Kage peeks in my shorts to verify theres a diaper in there.
I held up the poster and muttered "I have no shame!"
Enter a very weird feeling of embarrassment, humiliation, mixed with a hint fuzzy warmth that didn't go away for quite some time.
Bawww, fun times fly by so quickly, and it was time to say goodbyes and roll on home.
To all the old friends and new friends, cubs and big kids, thanks for an awesome time. I am too lazy for proper name-dropping (and some don't care to be mentioned by the likes of me *evil laughter* But know, I love you all very much.

Back in black, also megaplex
Posted 14 years agoBack after a leave of absence from the webs, I have a ton of journals and submissions to sift through.
My obsessive-compulsive tendancy of adding every babyfur/diaperfur/kidfur I find and the artists that draw them is catching up with me.
Also, Megaplex is coming up (yay)
I will be there and hosting Karaoke again, and generally being a goof in suit.
If you have a room and extra crash space, there are 2 cubs looking for a place to stay.

Comic based on me IRL ...sorta
Posted 14 years agoWhen I set out into the world, and crazy things began to happen. I found myself in such bizarre situations, embarking on adventures that I never intended.
As the tales of said shenanigans first started getting back to my small hometown, they became local legends.
On one return visit, I learned that one of my friends had created a comic based on me, and had the 1st premise issue published in a periodical compilation.
He gave me an autographed copy of the first "episode". (Page 4 is also autographed by the IRL "Dark One")
Here it is 15 years later in it's original 4-page glory ...and I'm still waiting for these questions and more to be revealed.
Ladies and gentleman, may I present to you:
Tinsly Bigelow, Soldier of Fortune
