Vore Cafe 20th Anniversary and another Birthday.
Posted 8 years agoDecember marks the 20th anniversary of the Vore Cafe on Tapestries MUCK. It is the oldest still intact and active vore gathering point on the net. (For those history buffs out there. The Food Chain on FM is older. But fell into disuse and was gutted by a spitefull admin in 2005.)
If you play on Taps then do drop in and Eat or be Eaten!!!
This is also my Birthday so I expect everyone to totally forget to draw me as usual...
Thank you all and see you around for the 21st next year!

Lost in Transmission: Print-n-Play vore Board Game
Posted 14 years agoWell as some of you allready know. I do board and RPG game design. Of late I have been working on a new print-n-play board game for a contest. The contest rules were that the game had to have the word Sneak or permutations thereof in the title. And sneaking has to be an element of the gameplay. Also the setting had to be sci-fi or post apoc, involving humans or some other race on the loosing side against invaders, mutants, robots or whatever.
My entry involves a luckless scientist transported to a maze game and being chased by hungry jelly creatures. It uses a simmilar theme to my older Chompland pnp game. But with new rules and a strong vore element.
Your task is to explore the maze and collect all the markers on the field while trying not to attract the attention of the patrolling Jellies. Sneaking prevents them from easily detecting you. And scattered around the maze are power-ups. One new twist though is that the power-ups now have diffrent possible effects such as Stealth, a Map, or even a Freeze ray.
If a Jelly locates you it will try to slurp you down. You can use garnishes to distract them. But if you fail then you end up sloshing around in its slimy transparent gut. The jelly then starts looking for its home, carrying you around untill you either escape by luck, or the Jelly reaches its destination and sprawls out to relax and digest you.
Another twist is the addition of co-op play with other players, or even competitive play in which case players can even try to eat eachother! Also included are optional Grid Bugs as players. These appear as my martian ants look.
Thanks to playtesters I have also added two new elements to the game. The Yellow Jelly, mistress of disguise, is a liiiiitle too good at looking like the players and the other Jellies may inadvertently swallow her instead of you if you are all in the same section at once! This idea was presented by Jannet. Alexander Ant put forward the idea of a worm monster so I have added an optional appearance of a Data Worm which grows longer and longer as it eats things. The head section will try to devoure you and the body segments will try to coil about you and thus make you easier to catch and gulp.
The contest reached the voting stage and my game won!
An updated version will be up soon I hope and I am considering changing the name of the game.
Currently the download files are MIA. Will re-upload them later.
Give it a try if you like board games of the freeform explorer type!
If you have any questions or ideas for more expansions, characters, etc do let me know here, via PM, or e-mail!
I'd also like to send a big thanks to Alexander Ant, Jannet Ammor and Lordstorm for their excellent work on playtesting the game and improving it!
