Posted 14 years agoHi everyone!
I accidentally went on hiatus there for a while. My last submission was over a year ago (!!!) Time gets away from me! The biggest reason why I stopped posting here is because I got a job at a totally kickass company doing production art. I got to draw eight hours a day, every day, and it was great! But it was all under a non-disclosure agreement and I couldn't post any of it here. Outside of my full-time job, I also did a little freelance work for miscellaneous video games so I had almost no free time for myself, and when I did I spent it doing things that weren't related to art, like travel and scuba diving. I have done almost zero personal work lately, which is kind of unfortunate, and also why I haven't posted anything to FA in a while.
Several people emailed me in the last year asking if I was still alive or if I quit art or something (and thank you to those people for checking up on me! You are very kind.) In reality, I have been checking my messages here almost every day since I left, and though I have been doing more art now than ever before, I haven't been able to post any of it!
Well, it seems nothing is safe from today's economy and my job at that company has come to an end. The good news is that I am gradually getting permission to share some of the work I did, so I will be posting some of it soon. More good news is that I managed to get a new job making my own video game! This is pretty much exactly what I've been trying to do with myself for years, and all of a sudden the perfect opportunity threw itself into my lap. I'm not sure how much about it I can expose at the moment, but is a game for mobile platforms (iPhone, Android, etc) about a time-traveling dinosaur who eats all of human history. It's coming along pretty well so far I can't wait to show you all! :)
Thank you, everyone, for all of your support this last year even though I have been so out of touch. I really appreciate all of your emails, comments, favs, watches, and journal features. You all rock my shorts!

Commissions are closed
Posted 16 years agoHello all! This is just a reminder that I am not taking commissions at this time. This is nothing new, but I still get noted/emailed about pretty regularly. I sincerely appreciate those of you who enjoy my work enough to inquire. It is a tremendous complement! But right now I already have too many commissions on my plate that I want to finish before I accept anything new. Also, once I finish, I have other projects of my own I need to focus on. So commissions are closed indefinitely. Rest assured that whenever I reopen I will post here and let everyone know, but it won't be happening for a long time.
Again, it means the world to me that you like my art enough to pay money for it! Thank you!
While I am not offering commissions right now, I do sell prints! Wouldn't you like a print or five?! I can make prints of nearly everything in my gallery. The prints are very high-quality giclee prints on very sexy paper, all signed by myself. They archival-quality and will last over 100 years if properly cared for. Because I typically don't constrain my pictures to standard print sizes, these dimensions are very rough. If you need more information about precise dimensions of a particular picture, please don't hesitate to ask.
Sizes and prices:
Small (approx. 5 x 7") - $8
Medium (approx. 8 x 11")- $15
Large (approx. 11 x 15")- $30
Other - ask
Many of my images are at a high enough resolution to print larger than 11 x 15", so if you are interested in something like that, please ask me about it. I can also do canvas prints. I order my prints through a professional printing service, so please allow a few weeks for delivery.
All prices are in US dollars. Shipping not included. Yes, I can ship internationally. I can accept paypal, check, and money orders. If you would like a print, please send me an email at the.rahbop at gmail dot com.

To those driving to FC:
Posted 16 years agoIt's FurCon time again and I know that like half the people on this website are going. This is just a heads-up to the people who are driving there: the highways are bad right now.
Driving down I-5 from Oregon and Washington, the mountain pass from Ashland (Southern Oregon) to Redding (Northern California) can be tricky on a good day. The road is steep, windy, with blind corners and semi-trailers. With the addition of possible snow and ice, the road could be pretty dangerous, if not closed. The road reports say I-80 from Reno is about the same, though I have no personal experience of it.
I'm sure there are plenty of you out there with experience driving in these kind of conditions, but I'm certain that at least an equal number of you are not. Before you leave, make sure your vehicle is in good working condition, check the road condition reports, give yourself lots of time to take it easy and please be safe. Traffic accidents make me so sad.
Here are some great tips for winter driving. Read this, please.
There are some severe weather warnings for California right now and a few places in San Francisco are already blocked off due to flooding.
Anyway, to all you FC people, driving or not, be safe and have an AWESOME time at the con!

back
Posted 16 years agoTo those who commissioned me at RF: I have finished all the commissions except for the watercolor sketches. Those of you who gave me your addresses, your stuff is in the mail. Those of you who commissioned watercolor sketches or who have not given me your address, I will get to your stuff as soon as I get back.
To all other non-convention-related commissioners, I am still working on your stuff. I'm sorry I have been so slow lately, but I promise I am making progress. Please hang in there.
See you guys later!
I am back home, and back to work on commissions.

vantid in the dealer's room, so please stop by and say hello. I'll also have some stuff up in the art show.

Finally back from AC
Posted 16 years agoI realize you all are probably sick of hearing about AC still. :x
After the con I went bumming around western New York with a pile of friends for a while. I just got back the other day. I have a few badges and sketches left over from the con that I wasn't able to finish, and those are underway. To those of you who commissioned me, I have your email addresses and I will be getting in touch with you as soon as they are done.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by my table. The best part of AC was meeting so many awesome people. I shared a table with Skulldog. She is awesome! Shouts go out to Dineegla, Dingbat, Jonah, Cyrakhis, Keden, Noxal, Nemmy, Kitoxa and Sellix, Ahkahna, Maggock, NeonDragon, Miss Monster, Loba North, Likeshine, Painted Dog, Fluffy, EC Major, Fishyboner and Chaoseven, Cyaneus, Heather Bruton, Airu, Tresh... gosh, I'm probably forgetting so many people. It was great to see everyone!
Our wings panel went well, I thought. We had more people show up than I expected, and they stayed the whole time even though our panel lasted a thunderous 2.5 hours. There are some things I think we could streamline... Nambroth and Vantid have both done this before, but it was a first for me. I didn't really know what I was doing, ahaha. Those of you who attended our panel, feel free to give me/us some critiques so I/we can improve our performance the next time we do this. Were there things we did well or did badly, or just didn't cover at all? Let me know! <3

AC time!
Posted 16 years agoon my way to Anthrocon with all the other cool kids. I'll have art in the art show, so please go check it out! I'll also have a table somewhere in the B section where i'll be selling prints, commissions, and a few originals. On the 4th I'll be co-hosting a panel with
nambroth and
vantid on drawing realistic wings. It should be good.
Hope to see you guys there!

Anthrocon preorders!
Posted 16 years agoHey all! Who's going to Anthrocon this year? This is my first time going, and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. I'll have a table in the dealer's room, some stuff in the art show, and I'll be co-hosting a panel with
nambroth and
vantid on how to draw wings. We will have all sorts of amazing hands-on reference material for you to learn from. It should be good!
I am doing some super cheap preorders for badges and prints for those who can come and pick them up at my table at the con. Click here for details!
p.s. To those waiting on commissions: things have been put on hold until I get back from Anthrocon. If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact me. The commission queue can be seen here.

Go commission this fine lady!
Posted 16 years agoEveryone's favorite
nambroth has been closed for commissions for a while, but now she has opened for one, and only one, commission! See details here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/768540/ Get it while it's hot and moss-flavored! Nambroth is the top of cool, so if you win the commission, you surely won't be disappointed. Also, the proceeds from the commission would really help her out right now, so you know that on top of getting a kick-ass piece of artwork, you'll be doing something really nice for a good person.

Posted 16 years agoCommissions are now closed. I have a lot on my plate now! Thanks, everyone! Commissions will reopen as soon as I can get through my current queue.
Also, I am selling the original of my scratchboard wolf. I'm asking for $250 USD, including shipping. I'm willing to ship internationally.

Gallery spam ahoy!
Posted 16 years agoSo I went to Further Confusion last week, and I learned something very interesting! Apparently it's difficult to sell one's art at a furry convention if you don't have a furaffinity gallery. It's like you don't exist at all! So I have decided to actually upload stuff here after all. Brace yourselves for some spammage!
Hello intarwubs:
Posted 17 years agoI'm not really planning on uploading any artwork here, but I do keep dA sort of up to date so you can see my stuff there.
