These animals are not throw-away pets... and they do deserve the love and care, same as a dog or a cat. :(

I am unbelievably happy today. You see, yesterday was the Wisconsin Reptile Expo (WIRE) in Madison, and I was working the MAHS booth as I normally do. This alone was making for a great day! THEN, everything got better when two kids brought in a cage and were asking random people if they wanted what was inside. Curiosity got the better of me and I HAD to see what they had... lo and behold, it was a young Blue Tongue Skink!

I had been wanting a skink for a while, but had never really acted on it. Just put it on the list of animals that I would "someday" get.

So, here I am, caring for this amazingly cute little thing. :) I hope to raise it into an awesome little show animal. :)

Not sure where to look for this, but does anyone know where I can get a clean/assembled python skeleton? I've come to find out that there are MANY people in my area who have no clue that snakes have bones. ._ .; Ball python preferred for ease of transport when my organization does our educational outreach.

So, guys, I am like... OMG EXCITED!
On 1/25, I'm going to spend the night with some of my friends and the next morning, we're headed for Chicago. Why? REPTICON. OMG.
Best part? I get paid on the 25th. HAHAHAHAHAHA. How much you wanna bet I'll come home BROKE?? xD

I'm hoping to either find Eumeces Schneideri (Schneider's Skink) or Scincus Scincus (Sandfish) while I'm out there... maybe a nice boa. >>; I want something small and approachable, though! So, maybe even just a leopard gecko would be a nice addition. :) We'll see!
