Leaving The Fandom (Again)
Posted 10 years agoSince I just sort of "vanished" the last time I left the fandom almost a year ago, figured I should make it a little more official than before, for the sake of being absolutely clear.
Do -not- expect me to upload anything to here anymore. For serious. The only places I'm ever posting again is DeviantART and maybe, MAYBE Weasyl, if I can steer clear of the furry community well enough. I'm just so very, very, VERY over this fandom. I really am. The last time I left was literally the BIGGEST relief and freedom of stress and anger from my life, and I honestly and truly question why the FUCK I ever even remotely entertained the thought of trying to return, given all the positive aspects staying away brought me. So I'm rectifying that and returning to what worked best for me--not actively participating in the furry community anymore.
Do I still identify as "furry"? Within my own definition of what I feel it means to be a furry, yes. By what the fandom, as a whole, would consider being furry ... no. So I guess the answer o that would be yes/no/sorta. All I know is that I will continue to represent myself through half-animal avatars and always still prefer drawing anthro-related subject matter, as well as enjoying visual media involving anthros. And indeed, you prolly will still see me faving art on here now and then (as well as talk to people I consider friends, because I'm not about to abandon them, furry or not). But I, myself, won't be making any contributions or engaging in any kind of community participation anymore. All I ever do is get burned whenever that happens.
So that's the long and the short of it. People who I know and trust will be told where to find me in non-furry areas of the net, and to the rest, I'll pretty much just disappear off the radar unless they stumble upon me by chance someplace else. Sorry to get your hopes up in coming back and trying to pick up where I left off, but this place and these people are just absolutely NOT for me anymore. There's nothing positive left here that's enough to counteract all the bad.

P.S.: Drama-related BS will systematically be hidden from all aspects of my FA account, whenever I stop by now and then to clear out my inbox and fav things. Repeat offenders will be blocked. Like I said ... I'm not about that life anymore. So long as I still intend to keep visiting here on occasion as a lurker, I'm not going to live my life dreading what sorts of foulness I'm going to arrive to the moment I type in this site URL. This account is going to be kept clean and sterile for my visits, at all costs.

Unused Characters For Sale CHEAP!
Posted 10 years agoThe financial situation is much the same from when this was posted on my original account 7 months ago (with the additional situation of both of my mom's dogs needing to get spayed this month, and my little girl the month after that), so I figured it wouldn't hurt to try again on this account.

Just today I was approached via notes by someone expressing an interest in one of my old character designs, but while that didn't pan out, it -did- give me the idea to rehome ALL of the unused character designs I no longer have definitive plans for. I'd rather someone actually put them to use for stories, roleplay, or make into suits and actually ENJOY them. Instead of them just gathering dust in my gallery in a state of neglect. I didn't think to do it sooner cuz honestly, I wasn't sure there was that much of an interest in my characters. @.@
So below is a list of of characters currently listed as being for sale. If there's one that you really want that isn't on here, ask me and I'll consider parting with them, as well. Prolly goes without saying, but no versions of Syn or Pookin (both current and previous) are going up for sale. The designs are just too similar for others to be using. Especially since Syn's markings and coloration have barely changed at all over the years. >_> But down below are the ones currently available:

This about a $10-20 discount, as if these were commissions, the simple refs would normally be $20 a pop, and the more complex ones (featuring additional character art, close-ups, text, and backgrounds) running anywhere between $30-45, depending on complexity and additional details. But as it stands ... I just need to generate some extra side income (since 90% of me and Pookin's money after the other basic necessities get paid off goes towards our fuzzy daughter's care and comfort), these poor things need to actually see the light of day, and I want people to be able to get their hands on some nifty characters if they can't afford the prices of adoptables, character auctions, or custom commissions from more "well-established" artists that can charge more for their work than I can. So in the end, everyone wins! XD
