Hey guys!

I'm posting this journal to let you all know that I'm officially released from the hospital. For those who don't follow me on twitter I've been in the hospital for 4 days fighting an e-coli bacterial infection in my kidneys. The prognosis is good and I'm home and finally off the IV, so it means I'm getting more rest but I'm still not feeling 100%. As a result I'm a little backlogged art wise, though I'm trying to get on track and am hoping to open up for more commissions and stuff at the end of May.

I should have a youtube tutorial up for Tuesday May 10th (hopefully!! No Guarantees!) and I plan on having a Patreon stream sometime this weekend, maybe something Sunday night for Mother's day! :D

Aside from that, other exciting things happening in our life, we're getting a Pembroke Corgi puppy in July who is due to be born sometime this month! :D As soon as I have pics and stuff, they'll be going up over on my Dog instagram account @ instagram.com/pococorgi Please follow there if you want a dose of puppy love! I'll be updating it with training videos and puppy pics and all our adventures.

This summer we'll be spending a month road tripping and adventuring on Pender/Vancouver island, so keep an eye out for that via twitter! I'll try and bring my computer/tablet with me, but again, we'll see what happens. <3

Hey Folks!

I'm planning on opening for commissions soon, so I thought I would give you an idea of what to expect!

Payment Plans: As this commission type is over $100, You are welcome to a payment plan! Half up front, and half upon completion of the linework.
($150/2 = $75)

Character References: I require an image reference for this commission. It does NOT have to be a reference sheet, but if there is anything you want changed, It needs to be in writing or in multiple pictures (ie. I like the nose from this one, but the ears from that one.) I will be asking you to pick 1 or two colours for clothing (if clothed) and all of your stickers will use that basic colour scheme. I will not be doing complex outfits unless discussed in advance.

Sticker References: I would like a concise list of the stickers you would like. This can be a set of mixed stickers you like, or a series of expressions in images you'd like or a list of expressions you want. I can work from pretty much anything, but this needs to be prepared in advance.

Edits: When you receive the initial sketches please look them over carefully! Edits in the later stages will cost you $5/edit to the linework, $2 for colour edits after the first round of edits! Please make sure your colours are accurate when sending me a reference or that you point it out to me before I begin working on the colouration!

I DO NOT USE TEMPLATES UNLESS SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED TO. Each sticker I design is unique to you, I will not use a template unless you specifically request one of my previous stickers.

Would anyone be interested in a 5-year span art book thing? I would put in pictures, talk about the effect art has had on my life, what some of the pieces represent and how I came to draw them and grow. It would be kind of a journey you would take with me to explore my art. It would be hard a little bit, but I would like to do a project like this. Now, the interest? Would anyone like something like that? it would be like 100-200 pages with lots and lots of pieces in them? I don't know. I'm rambling and I'm tired. What do you think?

So I've watched a couple great movies in the last little while with Tony ( ) my roommate. It's been great. We both really love documentaries, and space stuff and just Ah! It's so exciting to have all these ideas in my head.

If you haven't seen The Martian yet, like me, Totally go check it out. Some of you, like me, may have the "Team America" thoughts about Matt Damon, but he did a really good job. And even though I made Tony spoil it for me, I really REALLY enjoyed it. The Space and stuff was basically sound and the visuals are amazing. I think this is the first Ridley Scott film I've ever seen. (Mostly cause the only other ones I know of are like... The Alien ones? Which are scary and I don't do scary well.)

The other film I wanna talk about, again space themed, is 'Moon'. That was a lot of fun. I couldn't believe it when I realized what was going on. It was great. If you like minimal cast dramas, this one is for you. It didn't have me as on the edge of my seat as the Martian but it did make me think a lot about things.

I spend a lot of my time in the studio watching TV and movies. If you ever have something to recommend and you think I'll be able to find it, please recommend it to me! I love catching up on things. And I'll be sure to let you know if I've already seen it so we can gush about it together! :D

To our regularly programmed Rhari!

I can't believe how time has flown by, between moving in July, Drama through August, getting my little one set up in school and then RF I haven't had time to get my head on straight! But I'm back now and things seems to be settling into their routines again. I'll be opening up for commissions again probably around mid october and will be fairly open to projects through to mid december. Unless all of y'all want art, it should be do-able.

As ever, my Patreon is open for business! Each month I put out 2 portfolios, one of work finished throughout the month and one of ALL my creative pursuits throughout the month. The finished work portfolios are $1/month and the Big ALL ENCOMPASSING portfolio is $10/month. The size difference is astounding though. One month we had 20 images in the finished works and 90 in the complete folio. It's crazy how many projects I sketch through each month. Things that never really get "finished" to the point of posting. You can view my Patreon here

All that said, we had an amazing time at RF, met loads of people and had a blast. There was so much dancing and hanging out and going to Panels! I wish we'd had even more time, I kept running into people and I would have loved to spend more time talking with everyone and getting to know people. I cannot wait to have more convention experiences. They're so much fun!

Hey guys!

Wow, it's been a while since I posted! Gosh, so much has happened over here. With the summer time taking over and the busy-ness of being a family, it's seems I've gotten so caught up I haven't been posting. Part of that has to do with the fact I am in the midst of moving! I've gone from country moue to city mouse and so far it's been wonderful.

I need to make a huge thank you shout out to Fever.Low who got me organized and packed and ready to go, my new room-mate tgreyfox for getting us in and doing a bunch of heavy lifting and so far Taodeer and queerecology for helping us paint! :D I've been so lucky to have friends around helping and getting me set up. Thank you all so much.

The next few months are going to be busy too. I owe my Patreon Patrons some streams and I want to spend some time working on some personal art. Of course I will likely open up for some commissions too, but likely quick turn around ones, so keep your eyes on my twitter handle (@Rhari) to jump on those!

Slots will be $30/hr with a maximum claim of 3hrs.

To give you an idea of what you can expect, in 1 hour, I can complete:
1 Character with Full colours;
or, 2 Characters inked;
or 2 Characters + a background Sketched;
or 3 characters sketched

I GUARANTEE to finish the level I start at! If I'm halfway through colouring your piece, I will work on finishing it.

Hey guys!

Some of you may have seen it already, but I have an ad up on FA right now for my Patreon Campaign!

Now this is a little different from other artists in that my patreon is used almost exclusively to fund comics! I have a couple long running projects that I would LOVE to get off the ground, but I'm not exactly able to and still make sure that I can go to conventions and travel and experiment with my work. A lot of the times I do fall onto my clients to fund those types of expenditures, leaving little time to expand my craft.

I would like this to change!

By supporting my Patreon it would allow me to change how I take client work, and focus on my personal and collaborative comic projects! These range from one-off adult comics (available on Patreon) or on quasi serial projects like Lake and The Naked Bean or even Long term Long running projects like Aimless, Eludria and 6 Hearts (which some of you may remember from my Y!Gallery days!)

This is exciting for me, but I understand some hesitation to back Patreon Creators. It's putting money forward every month without getting something SPECIFICALLY for you, but as you know with my gallery, I can do a lot in a day! I'm not guaranteeing that there won't be times where things fall a little flat, but there will ALWAYS be content uploaded there.

As for the rewards the Highest level comic tier is only $10!And here's what it gets you!:
-An archive each month of ALL of my work. That includes Comic WIPs, Client files and my own personal work.
-Suggest YOUR characters for YCH slots in my comics (Speaking/Interacting roles will be available!)
-Joining in a private skype call/chat and Private Livestreams! Allowing you to give direct feedback and input on the stories developing on Patreon!

Seems like a while since I wrote about something other than art and stuff. Well, I guess this is about art, but not directly! Huzzah!

I'm Community Spotlight (aka Local GoH) for Vancoufur! I can't tell you how thrilled and honored I am to be chosen and it's been so much fun and a fair amount of work. I'm really excited for the con coming up in two weeks! I have some stuff planned for at the con and I'm also going to be dealing in the Dealer's den. Come say hi!
