No Stream Today
Posted 6 days agoBeen suffering with con crud ever since I got back from PAX (at this point I think it might be covid). Going to take today off streaming to continue recovering.
No Stream This Weekend
Posted 2 weeks agoI'll be in Seattle for PAX West this weekend. So the usual Saturday and Sunday streams are cancelled. I might do something Monday night (low chance) or Tuesday (higher chance), but we'll see.
Commissions Closed
Posted 3 months agoI am temporarily closing commissions. I really have been struggling to do the one I've got plus the raffle prizes. My heart just hasn't been in it as all of my passion right now is dedicated towards working on my TF comic. I've had a lot of struggle just trying to find any motivation to work on any other art. I will still get those two raffle prizes done and do some small pieces here and there, but I want to be in a state where I can solely dedicate myself to working on my personal projects. I will most likely reopen once the comic is complete or if I need a break. Thank you for your understanding.
Cheetah TF Comic Update on Patreon
Posted 4 months agoI just finished up the 11th page of my new cheetah TF comic over on Patreon. This covers the whole initial transformation before it goes into some very fun post-TF reality shift content.
Please check it out if you're interested or just want to support me.

Raffle
Posted 5 months agoIt's been awhile since I've done one of these. With work finally slowing down, having next week off, and my commission queue being quite empty I figure it's a good time to do one. I had promised last year to do 4 of these and since my work destroyed those plans, I'm going to instead pick two winners.
What do you win? A fully rendered piece of either two characters and a background or a three panel TF sequence. My usual commission ToS rules apply for what I will or will not do. https://docs.google.com/document/d/.....h.epb61r3mzac8
How do you enter? Just add a comment below and be one of my watchers.
When does it close? I will be drawing the winners on Monday, April 21th. CLOSED.

Comics, TF Commissions, and Slight Changes
Posted 5 months agoHaving given this a lot of thought, I’ve decided to retire comics as a commission type. I know there’s some people who have already talked to me about getting them in the future, and I will uphold those requests. I will just not be taking any new ones. There are a lot of reasons for this, the main one is that comics are just meant to tell stories. There’s a lot of complexity that comes from trying to fit the story into the page in a way that makes sense and is appealing to look at. This means that sometimes simple concepts might take many pages to get the point across in a satisfying manner. Since I need to charge a lot per page as each one is a large amount of work that can also vary heavily, a large conflict between cost and quality is created. It’s just hard to do a single page comic, and commissioners don’t want to pay for 4 or 5 pages to actually make their concept a reality.
There was also confusion about whether the comics were commissions meant for TF works. I realized I didn’t have a commission offer that matched a TF sequence. My half and full body shots are priced with the idea that there’s a background with it, since that’s what I like to work on. Still, I realize that there is probably a demand out there for TF sequences. So, I’ve added a new tier for you for a TF Sequence Special starting at 3 full body shots and no/minimal background.
As always you can find my full commission ToS here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/.....8/edit?tab=t.0
And you can also see my current queue here: https://trello.com/b/ngjEqyJc/roidhs-art
In other comic news though, I have decided to start putting together my own TF comic for a retelling of the canonical story of how Spots (Kasi), my cheetah sona came to be. While I am still in the process of locking down the full plan, I have thumbnailed out 38 pages so far with at least a dozen or two left to go through my outline. It involves some cheetah TF and some reality shift stuff. I hope it turns out fun for everyone. I haven’t tried making a long comic like this since college, and I’m very excited.
The first page is already up on Patreon if anyone wants to check it out (it is just a boring cover though): https://www.patreon.com/posts/sotroww-1-126657588
My plan is to upload all of the images up there first as they are completed, and I will not be posting any of them publicly until they are all complete. I also put up HD resolutions of all of my own art on Patreon if anyone is interested in that.
One final thing, since cheetah TF is on the brain, my friend
Kaevon has just finished writing the first chapter of a large feral cheetah TF story that we planned together. Think of it as an alternate version of how Spots/Kasi came to be. It is going to get rather explicit by the end, but I wanted some proper build up to it instead of it just being a bunch of porn. If that’s something that sounds interesting to you go check out the first chapter here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/60565336/

I Have Regained Control
Posted 5 months agoSorry for the disruption Spots caused yesterday. I have regained access of my account and kicked him back to
RoidhCheetah where he can post all of the NSFW stuff we commission. Now back to your not so regularly scheduled content that hopefully I can hopefully have some more free time to work on soon.

New Direction
Posted 5 months agoMuahaha. It’s me, Spots, or Kasi, or whatever it is people are calling me now a days. I’ve taken over the account now. That’s right. It’s going to be all my content all the time now, and that means nothing but large hot cats. No more Ækerin, no more Ren’s story, not even more of Howard’s tale (that feline is too sad), just hot cheetahs and lions, preferably together. I hope you all enjoy this new direction with me.

TF Art Jam
Posted 6 months agoI'm going to leave this up just in case people aren't aware, but most Sundays I stream on Piczel as part of the TF Art Jam. It's a large multistream with a lot of very talented TF artists and writers. I don't usually advertise when I go live for it as I tend to be rather variable when I do (and sometimes I just skip it), but there are plenty of other great artists and writers who are also regulars with streams popping up and down all day on Sundays.
So if you like TF content, come hang out. Things are known to get a bit NSFW and spicy. Just fair warning.

New Year, New Plans
Posted 8 months agoWell, another year has gone. I covered a lot of my thoughts in my summary of art post a few weeks ago. So instead, I want to look towards 2025.
I had mentioned planning on moving awhile back. At this point I have figured out where I’m going to move. My goal is sometime in the spring to actually make the jump. We have a few more months of hard work at my day job, but it should be a nice slowdown afterwards. I’m hoping this won’t impact getting my art and writing done too much, but we’ll see.
Writing wise, I’ve put a hold to a lot of stuff as I try and get Part 1 of the Tales from Ækerin University rewrite done. I’d like to get back to doing some Thursday Prompts, but time has just not been on my side. I really want to get to writing the stuff I’ve had in my head for after Felix’s TF is done, but there’s certain bits of build up and reveals I want to write first for the audience’s sake.
Art will continue. I’ve a bunch of commissions lined up that I’m quite excited to get started on. First up is going to be a piece that was raffled off for
Luke32's Ratathon last month. I do hope I can find time for some personal projects in between all these paid pieces.
Speaking of paid pieces, you might have noticed I updated my commission prices yesterday. There were a few reasons. When I picked my initial commission prices, they were all just a stab in the dark. People told me they were low, but I had no idea how much would be fair. It took a long time for people to begin commissioning me at all, but starting in late summer, the flood gates opened, and I’ve had a growing queue since then. With how much time and detail I’m putting into each of these pieces, I really didn’t feel like I was getting paid enough for my effort. We’ll see how these new prices go. People tell me they’re still too low, but I feel like I made quite a leap upwards already. I also feel like I’ve gotten good enough at traditional art to be open to working in that medium for people if anyone is interested.
Lastly on the monetary front, I decided to open a Patreon. For now, I’m not going to be doing much with it, just offering the HD versions of all of my artwork for those who want to toss me a few bucks. I really have to downsize the art that I post here on FA compared to the resolutions I work in. I might offer more perks in the future, but I don’t have any immediate plans for Patreon exclusive artwork or anything.
I really don’t like shilling. So, this will probably be the last time you hear about either of these (other than a Patreon link I added to my post signature) until I make a change to policies or prices.
The last thing is about streaming. I’ve decided to move over to Twitch as my primary streaming platform. I’m still going to be streaming on Piczel in the TF Art Jam on Sundays, but my primary art streams will now be on Twitch instead. I’m also doing some game streams, if you want to hang out. I’m going through all of the formative games of my youth. Right now, I’m doing the Jak series and it’s been a lot of fun.
Anyways, I wish you all a Happy New Year.

Holiday Announcements
Posted 9 months agoWith holiday travel coming, streaming is going to be quite difficult. I'm not exactly sure when I'm going to be back at my place, but regular streams will resume at least by January 4th. I will be moving my regular streams from Picarto over to Twitch and probably also getting some gaming streams in. Still deciding what I'm going to be playing there. The primary reason for this is mainly building an audience. I do like the cosey streams on Picarto and that I am not restricted about what I draw, but 90% of my stuff is SFW and so it feels like I'm really holding myself back by staying over there. I will continue streaming on Piczel during the TF Art Jam every Sunday (something I don't usually advertise due to the NSFW content of all the other streamers).
I also just want to remind people that I will be raising my commission prices on January 1st. So, if you want to get in the queue at the current rates, please contact me before then. I'm going to be going back full into working on commissions in January. Got some stuff I've been wanting to work on for awhile coming up.
Anyways, Happy Holidays to everyone. Hope you all have a pleasant season.

Special Holiday Q&A
Posted 9 months agoI'm planning a special holiday Q&A release if anyone wants to submit any questions direction related to the holidays, whether it be what types of traditions characters normally follow in their worlds or just who they want to meet up with under the mistletoe.

Two years on FA
Posted 10 months agoIt’s been two years since I’ve come back to posting my own art. Unlike last year, where I gave a massive retrospective of my entire art career, I’m only going to look back at this last year. In many ways I’d look at this whole last year as wishing I could do more. While I am pleased with the work that I’ve done, there is always this looming sense I could be doing more, especially with my writing. My free time has become extremely limited from work, and many days I must decide between writing or art. Art, being the easier of the two to pick up and put down, tends to be the default choice, especially with Bella (my needy cat), who loves to interrupt me whenever I’m about to get into a grove. I’ve taken to escaping to one of the local breweries to try and get anything written. Still, progress continues to be made. I’m hoping to try and get Ækerin part one done by the end of the year, a far cry from my original goal of getting the rewrite done up to the end of Felix’s transformation, but it’s something.
Though as far as quality goes though, I have been really pushing myself, especially with my art. Many of my recent projects have taken me far out of my comfort zone, but I’ve been quite pleased with the results. I’ve also really enjoyed the traditional works that I have produced and hope to have more of them (including the rest of Kaj’s Inktober story) soon.
Anyways, I can’t think of more to say. Here’s to another year that is hopefully slightly more productive.

Commission and Queue Update
Posted 10 months agoSince I’ve gotten quite a bit of interest in commissions lately, I have just updated my Commission ToS for how the queue is going to be working going forward. The short version is I have no cap to the commission queue, but I will only take money for and work on a single commission at a time. People can only have a single entry in the queue at a time. There are some people who queued up and already wanted a second one after that. I will allow them to still hold their second spot, but moving forward I will not let them do that again. Additionally, if you are queued up you will be locked into my current prices for that commission.
This brings me to my next point. I will be raising the price of all my commissions starting on January 1st, 2025. I haven’t decided what they will be, but I just wanted to give everyone a heads up in case you wanted to jump in line now.
I have been working on a rather large commission for a certain cybernetic liquid vixen since the end of September that will hopefully be done soon. I can’t wait to share it with you all.

This Week's Stream and Inktober
Posted 11 months agoFirst of all, I am going to be out of town this coming weekend. So, the stream on Saturday October 19th is going to be canceled.
Secondly, you might have noticed that I didn't put up an Inktober piece today. Well after doing yesterday's I sat down and for the first time in a long time, I just relaxed. I didn't start jumping into my next project. I didn't join the TF art jam (like I usually do). I just sat there. My body decompressed and a wave of illness washed over me. It was then that I realized just how much I had been pushing myself. I've been spending a good 3-4 hours on each of these Inktober pieces. At the same time, I've also been putting together a new TTRPG campaign and before Inktober began, I had been working heavily with all my spare time on some written story content (that has been on pause since the start of the month). I just think I hit my breaking point and couldn't do any more without a break. I'm going to try and relax (though I seem rather bad at that), or at least spend the time doing some smaller things.
I will going to try and get back to the inktober art soon (maybe after I get back from my trip this coming weekend), but at a slower pace. I don't like leaving things unfinished, and we're only a third of a way through Kaj's journey.

Autumn Updates
Posted 12 months agoI am sure some of you have been wondering where the sign up for the fall raffle is. I still want to do it, but I have hit some snags. So, I am probably going to end up delaying it till later in the season or instead just drawing two names for winter. I promised (at least to myself) to do one a season for this year and I want to hold myself to it. Unfortunately, between my work, the commissions sitting on my plate, Inktober coming up again, putting together a TRPG campaign, and wanting to actually get some writing done, there is little time for the raffle at the moment.
After these two I had promised, will I continue doing them? I am still undecided. I had originally started these raffles because I wanted to draw things I normally would not. At the time I was not getting any commissions, and so I figured this was a good way to branch out. However, in the last two months I have gotten seven commission requests, when I had previously had three total. While it is nice to have work and it does achieve my goal of drawing things I normally would not, I also want to figure out how to properly balance it with my personal artwork. Furthermore, I need to figure out what to do about a queue, and if I want to let it keep growing or close and cap it. These are things I have never had to consider before now, but I guess that is another problem to solve.
Writing wise, most of my energy is currently being spent on putting together this TRPG campaign world. While it is still within the realm of fantasy, it is instead taking place farther in the past than the usual medieval affair. Instead, society is at the level of the late bronze age with warring city states. Hopefully, it will turn out to be a fun setting that I am sure I will harvest for future stories.
As for some personal life updates, I will most likely be moving sometime in the next few months. I have lived in the same apartment for a dozen years now and it is time to move on. This place was great when I went into an office ten minutes away. Now that I work from home though, there is little point staying in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is far too expensive here and most of my friends have already moved on as well. I am going to be taking some trips to scout out places I am interested in living in the next few months, but most likely I will be residing out of California for the first time since I can remember.
Anyways, I hope you are all doing well and there will be more art and stories in the near future.

PAX Con Report
Posted a year agoI have just returned from PAX West in Seattle. The experience involved a lot of walking and waiting in line for 8 hours a day with no breaks, leaving our legs stiff and feet hurting. Still, we got to play all sorts of interesting games, a few AAA, but mostly indie. The lines for the AAA games were extremely long. We couldn’t even get into the Monster Hunter one. Though we heard later that if you did make it in, the line took 3 hours to get through. Instead, we mostly went around and played smaller indie titles as well as chatted with the developers. Below I have compiled some brief thoughts of every game I played (or at least remember) with links to their Steam page (save for the Nintendo ones). If any of these sound interesting, please Wishlist them. It really does help the developers out.
All Systems Dance: This was a weird game. There really wasn’t a ton to do. You did dance battles with robots. These involved doing dance moves to a beat in order to navigate a dance arena while dodging the attacks from robots. I really didn’t get what the game was about from merely the short length of the demo. My friend felt the game needed to feel faster, and I can see that. It almost felt like they wanted that Jet Set Radio vibe without committing.
Away From Home: Another rhythm-based game like All Systems Dance, but this time in the form of a quirky RPG. The writing was cute and had some good humor. The characters and animations also felt pretty good. My only complaint is that the triggers of when to hit the beat seemed visually difficult to read. Otherwise, I think this might be one to watch out for. Also, the music was quite catchy.
Echoes of Mystralia: This is a new rogue-light ARPG. As you progress through the game you get spell upgrade tokens that allow you to modify and customize your spells. As an example, I had a boomerang disk, and I got an upgrade that added a fire trail as it moved around. I could have also added this to my lighting beam spell to instead allow that to place fire as it was shot. Seems like a cool system and I want to see how it’ll develop. Even in the early state that it is in, the game felt polished with smooth controls.
Fowl Damage: This was one my friend played, and I watched enough to get a good idea what it was. It is a puzzle platformer where you are an egg. Like an egg, you crack easily if you fall too far. Unlike a normal egg though, you can jump very high. This creates an interesting dynamic where you actually need to pick your way down slowly to make big leaps up, so you just barely make It over the ledge and not take fall damage. Overall, it seems like an interesting game and I’m curious how the design of it goes after the small demo section they showed.
Herdling: This seems like it’s going to be one of those moody somewhat artsy games. You take the role of a child who picks up a tree branch and finds you can use it to herd strange yak-like creatures. After befriending a trio of them, you make your way out of a decrepit city and into the fields as you make your way to the mountains. Gameplay wise there was a single minor puzzle and most of it was just directing your furry friends about. I’m curious if there’s going to be any deeper gameplay or if it is just going to be a glorified walking simulator. Still, I liked some of the music and the feeling of running your yaks through the gorgeous environments was great.
Inpulse: Another platformer that I merely watched my friend play. If you want a painfully difficult precision platformer, this one is for you. In it you have to ride and shoot out magic notes in order to get through small quick stages. It looked like Super Meat Boy levels of difficulty, for these curious. Not really for me, but I know others like that.
Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom: After waiting over an hour to get into the Nintendo booth we got to play about 15 minutes of 4 separate titles. The upcoming Legend of Zelda game was the first one. I will say in advance that the top-down Legend of Zelda games are some of my favorites and I prefer them to the full 3d counterparts. So, I am really looking forward to this game and it did not disappoint. The ability to learn how to clone objects is super engaging. The ability to create enemies actually seems like it’s going to be one of the more interesting parts since each enemy has its own attack pattern that you have to learn how to utilize. I’m now even more excited for the game when it comes out later this month. Also, the map seriously looks like Link to the Past’s.
Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition: Another fun one from Nintendo. It’s basically like a bunch of mini speed run challenges that you play against other players. For our demo, we did all original Legend of Zelda challenges. These ranged from killing enemies, bosses, or even just getting the sword at the beginning of the game. While I don’t think I’d actually get this game, it could be a fun little party game if you actually have friends you play games with.
Path of Exile 2: I personally have never played Path of Exile 1 so I cannot compare it. My friend though is a massive fan and really thinks 2 is going to be a massive improvement. The main thing he mentioned being different is skills no longer being tied to equipment. I played as a Ranger and went through the opening area of the game, doing the first dungeon. I had a good time, despite having no clue what I was doing. He went into a more mid-game scenario and was apparently given a pretty bad build for the demo. This ended up pitting him against a boss he had no chance of defeating since his damage was complete garbage.
Pioneers of Pagonia: This was a cool medieval fantasy town builder. You play as humans who have landed on an island and are developing a new city for themselves. Here, you have to ally with all of the natives while fighting off various villains such as thieves and werewolves. The game had kind of an objective list of what to build that felt a bit overwhelming as I was mostly just looking at what the game was telling me to build rather than making decisions myself. I also never felt like I was avoiding a failure state. While I liked it, I wasn’t sure if the game was going to hold enough depth in the long run.
Rivals 2: I’ve actually backed this game through kickstarter. If you’ve played Rivals 1, it’s that, in 3d. For those who haven’t played it, it’s kind of like Super Smash Bros. Melee with an all furry cast. I played as Fleet (the fox) and spent my entire round trying to figure out my kit. Still, it was fun even though I got destroyed.
Rooster: This was a super cute game. I didn’t actually get to play it but watched other people do so and talked to the artist a bit. She really wanted to try and bring the style of watercolor to the game with all of its imperfections rather than the more digitally perfect art that you see in most games. Gameplay wise, it seemed like some hidden object game, but I believe they mentioned there were more game modes it was composed of, all based on characters of the Chinese zodiac calendar.
Star Wars: Hunters: This was the last game we played at the Nintendo booth. I really hated it. Not only am I bad at shooters, but I am really bad at them on the console, and the controls were inverted in ways I didn’t want. We got destroyed and I had an absolutely terrible time playing it. Maybe if I wasn’t fighting with the controls, it could have been fun. This was not the case though.
Super Mario Party: Jamboree: They had 3 mini games for us to play through. I haven’t played a Mario Party game since the original one. All I remember is Mario Party destroying friendships with how angry it’d make us towards one another. In this case, the mini games were fun. I got to be a giant Bullet Bill and murder all the other players. It felt good.
Tears of Metal: I absolutely loved this game. It was basically Dynasty Warriors as a rogue-light where you play as the Scots destroying the English. You tear through waves of enemies and build up cool special powers throughout your run so you can tear them apart harder. Complete with tons of blood as you slice them apart with your claymore.
TetherGeist: This was a rather fun puzzle platformer. You have a mechanic where you can astrally project your body slightly away from yourself and then teleport to it. Your astral form can pass through some objects, but not others. You also have the ability to use mushrooms to launch your character. Interestingly, both of these require a resource that needs to be picked up. These are placed in a queue that needs to be used in order. This makes the game rather interesting in not only do you need to pick up specific resources, but you also need to grab them in the right order to solve the puzzle.
The Big Catch: this felt like a throwback to old N64 era platformers. While the graphics were a bit better, they were definitely harkening back to that era with style. Here you play a bird who has a fishing rod in the middle of a desert. I really like the main character’s design, and a lot of the movement felt pretty good. The biggest issue with the camera. I just felt like I was fighting with it the entire time and it needs the most work before the game is ready for prime time. A good example of this problem is that there are creatures you can latch your line to in order to be pulled across the desert quickly. As you steer them, the game doesn’t move the camera with your movements, so you end up moving in a direction that the camera isn’t facing. I think if they made some adjustments to get the camera to be a bit smarter at following you then this has the potential to be a great little game.
To the Moon: I hated this. We only sat down at the station because it was open, and we were looking for stuff to play. I am 90% sure it is an RPG maker game. From what we can tell it involves a pair of scientists going back in time to revisit memories. I’m not sure, it didn’t grip me. There was some rather terrible collision issues that really took me out of it where decorative flowers on the ground added like solid objects. It made navigating some of the objects really unintuitive.
Edit: I have been told this game is actually really good. They just gave me a bad demo that started me in the middle of the story.
Ultra Mega Cats: This isn’t something I played, but I did watch someone else playing it enough to get an idea of what it is. Seems like a rogue-light 3rd person shooter where you play as cats and mow down robots. From the run I was watching, they were playing with a cat riding around in a giant mech. I’d have to really give it a try personally to say more, but it seemed interesting enough.
War of the Western Deep: This was a super gorgeous game with an all furry cast. The art is great, and it is all being hand animated. It seems like an adventure game (in the sense of a point and click adventure without the pointing and clicking). The combat looks quite nice and is more about reading your opponent’s moves. While I didn’t actually get to play it, I did have some long chats with the writer and artist of it. The game started out as a comic that they produce that they later decided to create a video game based on. I haven’t read it yet, but I did pick up all three hardcover books (that they so graciously signed for me) of the comic and can’t wait to see what it’s all about. If you want to read the comic, you can do so here: https://westerndeep.net/
Winter Burrow: This is another game that I mostly saw and didn’t get a chance to play, but it looked interesting. Visually it looked like Don’t Starve, but it stars a mouse. I really don’t know much about it, but I figure I’d let people know about it.
Anyways, that’s my con report. If you have any questions about what I played, I’ll can try and answer them below. In any case, back to work in the morning with more art and writing soon.
PAX West and Streaming
Posted a year agoGoing to PAX West this weekend, so no streams. Have a great Labor Day.
Trellos and Saturday's Stream
Posted a year agoI decided to create two Trello boards if you want to keep up with what I've got planned/in the works for art and writing.
https://trello.com/b/ngjEqyJc/roidhs-art
https://trello.com/b/MfYpVMso/roidhs-writing
Additionally, Saturday's stream (July 27th) will be cancelled as I am going to the Bloomburrow Prerelease. I might decide to stream that night when I get home, but no promises.
