Character can be either an alligator, crocodile, snake, monitor lizard, heck even dragons that have not been in last year’s pics can take part!
1 paint render piece per month spanning across the year from January to December
If there’s more than 12 people wanting to partake, I will select the winners.

- no scaly/mammal hybrids, latex/pool toys, feathered or dutchies.
- male characters only
- no characters from media (exceptions: here)
- must be OCs
- Also feel free to fill up a slot by saying the month name.
- It's free too so no need to worry about money here.

So another year has come to a close and another year has been opened.
In retrospect I made a lot of progress on the things I wanted to do in 2024
Make a game (80% complete)
Make a new VR that looks good at low poly (Didn't start)

2024's summary:
I know that 2024 was a year that will be marked as a historical year for many of us, whether it be a good year or a bad year for us.
Emotional turmoil, cheers, new friends and connections.
that's just from a general perspective:
Here's my 2024 in small chunks
January:
-Dragon Appreciation Year went well and was pretty well received in terms of what people thought of the concept!

February:
- I am close to finishing the first public release of my game Trimino Trouble which is on itch.io, a free to play game which is in for some reworks at the moment. (More on that later)

March:
- Trimino Trouble sees its first release on March 6th and is the first public dev version to be brought out.

April:
- Nothing too significant happened in this month but I did get Twitch botted on my affiliate anniversary, which is funny because the person who did it self reported.

May:
- My game started to shape up really nicely and I got a couple of 3D models finished for a friend and for the boyf.

June:
- The boyf and I celebrated our 10th anniversary, I love him a lot and many more years of being together. (Love you sweetie 💜)
- Furality came around and had some fun, checked the stalls and met who is a total sweetheart!
- Pride month rolled around and I did some YCH art, I wonder what people thought of that YCH as a whole?

July:
- Nothing too significant happened but worked on my game a lot and doing art while doing more game dev

August:
- Do I need to say more about this month?
- Made my first large group pic

September:
- My birthday was around the corner and I planned something for that too
- Just doing more game dev work alongside and more assets for my Twitch channel

October:
- Not my most favourite of months but I did have fun doing art for some people
I will admit that this month was not my most active of months because my room was getting a touch up as well as my parent's room

November:
- Things got back into a relatively good position for me, I finished off a couple things for this month and finished off the remainder Dragon Appreciation Year pic for the year

December:
- A few pics here and there
- My development had gone from good to I can't believe I done this levels of hell. (context: refactoring code and half the things are broken because 2 player implementation)**

For 2025:
This means that for this year I will be doing another yearly based art thing but this time instead of dragons, it will cover all kinds of a scalies!

regarding my game
I know this is hard to say but with a refactor in place comes a lot of complications with how the game works.
I am working on getting player 2 up to speed with things but there are some issues that are plaguing the progress.
Having said that I’m not sure what to do because it seems strange that it does work as intended for 1 side but not the other despite using a different subset of variables in the same code.

About that YCH, it’s still available if anyone wants to get one.

This is a journal about my game, Trimino Trouble.

I have a pretty big update that I have just finished.
The game got an absolute massive facelift from the previous update.

I will be planning on getting this update up and out by November 6th (bookmark that on your calendars if you need to)

Also reminder:
The skin contest is still going on and you still have 3 weeks to get entries in but there’s also an update on the things you’d need to add to the sprite sheet, that is symbols that indicates that each piece is different (6 required but 12 if necessary) and particles (4 for each of the 6 colours + stones, these are 16x16 in dimension)

Because I made an update to the way sprites are made, adding skins will be less cumbersome but it comes at a price of having to add more required sprites.
