And welcome back to many of you! I just wanted to drop in to say we are super excited for this year! We have a lot of trips, music videos, tutorials, and fun events planned for you guys this year based on feedback and how we've run the previous years. Once again we have our end of quarter fursuit bowling meet!

- FURSUITS ARE ALLOWED! Like last time, we would prefer to have a general head count of people/suiters going. Additionally, please remember if you're going to bowl that you cannot have fursuit feet, you MUST wear bowling shoes! We already called ahead and we recommend bringing around $15-20 if you plan on bowling and eating (abut $5 for single game and $5 for shoes, the rest is a cushion)

 savannimals are free to join us as well! We love the extra company!

Hey guys! Sorry for the short notice on FA but Martin Luther King Jr day is tomorrow and, as most of you may know, it's a big event in Savannah. Last year a bunch of us went and had a great time and we hope to have even more fun with more furries there this year!

The parade runs 3 hours starting at 10 am but we likely wont last the whole time.

MEETING

Location: SCAD Museum parking lot (located right across the street from Turner House dorms)

Time: (Monday) Meeting at 10 am and leaving parking lot around 10:30 am
If you're not there to meet us, just come find us. We'll be walking slowly and getting swarmed by youngins!

AS ALWAYS, we extend this invitation to :D Come join he fun again!

*We'll start on MLK since that's where the museum is and from there we will be walking upstream (opposite of the parade flow) toward Brouton street. We'll woddle our way to Subway eventually to rest and eat lunch and then we'll trace our steps back. :)

**If you're a SCAD student who needs to drive to the museum, we recommend parking at Turner Annex or Dyson. MLK STREET WILL BE BLOCKED OFF IN THE HISTORIC DISTRICT STARTING AT 9 AM!! Either head down early or use alternate routes. I know of one detour that spits you out on Gwinett and from there merges on to Boundary street so please plan beforehand.

***At the end we like the SCADfurs to take a group photo by the Museum so if you can join, we'd love to get you in it!

Hey guys,

I just want to remind everyone that tomorrow night is our Bowling meet. Information can be found ( Here

If you are a current student at scad and plan to come to the meet in suit, BE IN CLUB TOMORROW 2pm to 4:30pm. I will not allow any scad students who are in suit to suit at the meet if you are not in club. We are going to be very strict about this rule.


If you are NOT a current SCAD student and plan to come in the meet in suit please note by tomorrow morning. Note, do not comment here. We need to have an accurate suit count for the manager tomorrow morning. If you do not note me then you will not be allowed to wear a suit at the bowling alley!
If you plan on suiting, even if you aren't bowling, SEND A NOTE. We will be asking people to de-suit if you come without telling us. Also please be aware of common fursuit etiquette rules. There will be children there and if you do something rude then it comes back on SCAD furs since we are the ones hosting the event. Officers will be asking people to leave if they are acting in a negative light.

Please note if you are a SCAD fur, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DRINK AT THE BOWLING ALLEY. Drinking on any SCAD event is against SCAD rules and we could get into serious trouble if someone found out.

Sorry to be strict but since this has SCAD's name attached to it we have to act according to their rules.

Sorry for getting this journal up with only a week advance!
Since the end of the quarter is coming up, we've decided a nice way to step away from the stress of finals is to have a furmeet!

- FURSUITS ALLOWED! However, please let us know by Friday morning if you're going because we NEED to give the manager a headcount of how many fursuiters we'll have! This lane is generous enough to allow us to suit but we have to show them that we appreciate it. :) Also, if you will be bowling, you CANNOT wear feet paws. You need to wear the bowling shoes so keep that in mind! (Please come to club on Friday so we can go over fursuit etiquette)

GRADUATION
it's coming. and as such i know alot of the people in our listing will be graduating if you are [even if i know you and know you personally are graduation] please comment here with GRADUATING nice and bolded and easy to see, and then i'll be able to do a thing. yup.

my dream of planning a scad group did not work out, not enough interest but also i dont have the monies for it anyway, so instead i'm focusing on my casting stuff. speaking of which...

ATLANTA KIDS and LOCALS
Mold-making/Casting Demo!
this summer, I, corvuszero, and hoping to to get alot of work done line regards to my line of urethane cast naturalistic digitgrade feet/legs, as well begin my line of cast antlers and horns.
In late july, or sometime in august, i want to do a demo for how to make molds and cast resin object. You will get to watch as i make a mold of a new product, even get to touch and feel the materials, and i will explain about the different materials and different uses for them, information you can apply not only to horns and hooves, but to resin masks, claws, resin eyes, silicon noses and tongues, and much more!
Ideally this will be a 2-day event, the first day being mold making, and the 2nd day being casting and demolding. Also i intend for this to be a potluck event, and also art jam for those who get bored watching/waiting. [and because this stuff goes pretty quick and it's silly to have a meetup only last an hour].
Please see my post in the GAFurs forum here for a more in-depth explanation on my plans. If interested, you may comment on the GAFurs thread, or respond here. I'll be taking a tally, and if i have at least 6 people interested, i will begin planning for the demo.
It will not be limited to SCAD students, so if you have friends you want to bring, let me know! only requirement is no parents, no non-artist stragglers, and no moochers.

Hey everybody, here! I saw we have a bunch of new watches and new students, and i wanted to give a shoutout to our new watchers! A big warm welcome to the new savannah furs  snackshark and  jaktalen

and i want to personally welcome to the atlanta campus  sirkus-pandemonium and  stormcloud09! I am local to the atlanta campus so feel free to hit me up to hang out sometime or get lunch/dinner! I have class tuesdays and thursdays 2pm and 5pm, i commute from Roswell [20 minutes north of atl] and am sometimes around on fridays in the Temple of Cartoon Mojo aka the sequential art lab<3

At some point in the next couple of weeks i'll be setting up [or trying to] an imformal gathering of the atl campus furs, hopefully before FWA so we can know who each other is. I wouldn't want you guys to do what i did, go to scad for a year having class with someone who turns out to be an artist in the furry community i admired for freaking years [that would be doirn i'm talking about XD]
