So I put in my work profile that I wanted to be a department head about a month ago. I decided I had gotten a little burnt out a work and wanted a change and a new challenge. I was tired of seeing things in departments that I wanted to change or fix but not having the time to do them due to conflicting time constraints with my current position.

About a week after putting in for it I was contacted by my former Department Head of Garden who had recently been promoted to an assistant manager at a different store. He informed me of a open position for the Garden Department at his store, which happened to be the position I was really going after.

At that time my current store manager said he'd like me to interview for a pposition within my own store before trying for one at another. I didn't press the issue, and after about a week I interviewed at my own store for the floor and wall department head position. I -sucked- on that interview. Didn't get it and after about a week my store maager finally gave the okay for me to interview at the other store since the position was still available.

I did pretty good at the interview, even with the other assistant manager at that store firing off questions at me. Slightly intimidating.

Anyway, I got the cal back today that the job is mine, we just need to figure out what my last day at my current store will be. With inventory coming up I dan't thing I'll be able to transer for another three weeks. Which is cool.

I'm really excited though. I so ready for a new challenge. The commute is about three times as far but luckily there's a highway that helps speed that up. only will put about another 10 minutes on my driving.

It's 9pm and I should have been asleep two hours ago.

I haven't posted on FA, art or otherwise in quite a while so I figured I'd at least make a journal entry.

Life is boring for the moment. I got my yearly well women visit over with last monday and talked to her about some ongoing and new issues I'd been having, She's referred me to an OBGYN, and that appointment is not until the 20th. Hopefully things will be alright for another two weeks.

Anywho I did find out my new insurance is spectacular. I got 4 months of birth control for 15 dollars. BooYah! I didn't really want to get 4 months since I'm also going to talk to the OBGYN about the Birth Control implant so I don't have an "Oops" for the next three years. I really am bad about forgetting to take pills.

Anywho Work is all crazy at the moment, all the department heads I was used to either already left or are leaving soon, or have talked to me about leaving in the near future, plus our Store Manager was moved to another store and I don't thenk the new one will last much longer. Garden's new department heads are trashing it and It frustrates the hell out of me. If I knew they wouldn't be stingy about a decent raise I'd take department head over it.

I ready for a little vacation in June. Hopefully we'll be able to make it out of state. Washington would be nice but I'm not sure we have the funds for that. Jeremy was wanting to go to alaska, but my mom said airfare would be about 700 a person x.x *die* That's certainly not feasable.

I'm slowly starting to draw again. Yay!

Hopefully the trend continues and I can start painting again too. !.... !!
