Hello there!

So, as the title says; I need to change what I do for sketch commissions.

Up until now I hadn't realized that my current way of sketching is... not really even sketching.
I had started filling in sketches with color for people with little to no backgrounds, but then I just started doing it for everything. This way of doing it is actually a good amount more work than just doing a flat color; and that didn't occur to me until it was pointed out.

That being said, from this point on I will be doing sketches how I used to; as shown on the example of my pricing sheet: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/59421600

(i.e. There will be no, or very minimal color filling for sketches)


The exception to this rule is Patreon rewards, which will continue to be filled in (and of course any commissions I may have already agreed to)

Apologies for those of you who were interested in that type of sketch commissions; but again, I was unaware of how much extra work I was putting on myself doing them like that, at that price point.

Posting this now before I open comms again on Dec. 1st:


I will be changing my pricing for commissions, starting January. My current prices are just not enough. The last few months have been barely scraping by for bills and rent; on top of burning myself out due to working on regular comms and patreon sketch comms back to back. My savings has been under $100 since the end of September because everything goes to bills and sometimes food.

That being said, I'm going to be raising my prices by a minimum of $50 (excluding sketch commissions, which will either remain the same or go up $5); in addition to reworking, if not removing the sketch commission tiers on my Patreon.


Just wanted to let you all know at least a month ahead so I don't blindside anyone with it.

Hey there; just a heads up, I will have to open commissions right out of the gate, as I've made some miscalculations with my bills and I'm not... it's not good. ^^;

I'll have my new commission sheet/pricing posted on the first, rather than now; just so people don't see it and think they're open already.

Also I slightly changed how the sketch commission tiers on Patreon will work, once they're opened. They'll be $20 rather than $15, and are also $15 cheaper than what an actual sketch commission will be. The catch being that while the tiers will be a guaranteed commission, they will be one character, but also at a fairly large discount.

I had stuff about this on my patreon (Here) for a week or two, but didn't know when I should make it public; which is now, I guess!


Starting the beginning of next month, I will be living off art.
This was planned to happen around September, after I had learned what all to do for taxes, setting up new stuff, etc. etc.; however due to my job seemingly not giving a crap after I fell and twisted my ankle/banged up my arm pretty badly, I left.
(Doing alright now, but ankle still hurts sometimes; nothing serious)


Back to the point, I'm going to be changing two of my sketch tiers on Patreon to sketch commission tiers, so people can get a guaranteed sketch comm every month.
These will be single character sketches at a slight discount, as these tiers will be using my current sketch pricing, while regular sketch commissions will be about $5 more. I'm still trying to make a new commission sheet, though I'm finding out I'm not too great at designing actual sheets...

Anyway.

New schedule.
I'll be working every day except Friday through Sunday; while streaming every Tuesday and Thursday.
(and sometimes Saturday if I just happen to feel like it and friends are also streaming ^^;)

This may change, as I've never made my own schedule before, but the days should stay the same.

Regarding normal commissions, I'll try and open them a few weeks into August, once I see how everything is working out.

Hey there; just updating on my lack of... ever being here. ^^;

Straight up just don't have energy to be here most of the time; which is no excuse, but it's the main reason.
Between patreon, sometimes commissions, and day job; any and all free time I have is usually spent on video games, or just more drawing (dnd also my time management is abysmal, but I'm sure you all know that by now.)

That is the main reason I'm rarely here... or, anywhere, really.
Anyway.

Relating to commissions, I think I'm going to do the one last one from the existing queue; before eventually opening them again. It keeps happening where I feel bad turning people down, so in turn take on way more than I can handle; which is the secondary reason for my lack of existing (easier said than done; because it keeps happening, though).

So yes. Still exist; just still failing at managing my time.

Long story short myself and parent have been in and out of hospital for 2 months for various health crap, which is ongoing.
Also I just had to get my car repaired the other day and it cost more than what I had in my bank, so... commissions.
