Posted 13 years agoIf you have any experience with Kinko's or printing of digital artstuffs, I just have a few questions I'd like to ask. I won't take much of your time, but I'm getting pretty close on deadline here and it's important. D:

Selling fox tails, shoulder dragon, hats + commissions open
Posted 13 years agoRaising money for AC.
Taking a couple commissions for colored, clean, full body sketches like this for $10, busts done the same way for $7, and either one uncolored for $2 less. I can also do badges for $15 (laminated and presented at AC or shipped), which I will have examples of very soon.
- 3 of my fox tails for $20 each. I paid a great deal more for them than that, and the $20 does include shipping. I can sell for $15 if you'll be at AC and want to get it there. They're very, very pretty. They are all equipped in some way to be attached to belt loops or hung.
[link]
- Grey Gloomy Bear hat. Really, you need to see it. This is a fantastic piece of the universe. WEAR IT AS A PILLOW! (images below are from google, not me) $20 shipping included, $15 if you want to get it at AC.

- My Dragon Woodbaby shoulder puppet. I hate to give him up, but we need the money and he's sat on a shelf too long. I take my reptiles or ferrets to Renaissance fairs now, so he has no place. His head is controlled by a simple wire mechanism that can be hidden under your clothes. You turn the end to turn his head, and push it to make him lift his head. The effect is surprisingly realistic, if you've never seen one of these guys in person before. I've startled more than a few people. The wings are wired and can be posed, and the legs will settle into position wherever you place him. I won't sell him for less than $50+shipping. I paid almost twice that for him, and his condition has not declined whatsoever. Can also pick up at AC.

Questions about badge printing/laminating.
Posted 13 years agok so.
itsubun and I are planning to drive together from SE Michigan to Anthrocon and we're rooming with two others upon arrival. Itsu is having some real financial struggles and it's looking like he's short about $150 for everything. Needless to say, with money being pooled between us for gas, food, and half of the room cost, his financial problem is my financial problem. Basically, if he can't go, I can't go, and I pretty much wouldn't bother attending without him anyway.
So he has opened commissions. He's an amazing and underrated artist who is just too damn shy to have gathered many watchers, so I'm pathetically begging you go and take a look and see if there's something you'd be interested in! He's pretty damn cheap compared to what I normally see around here.
If you're not into his style, I'm going to be taking limited commissions as well. All proceeds funnel directly into our shared gas, food, and room cost pool, and we'll be closing commissions as soon as that's reached. For my part, I'll be selling colored, clean, full body sketches like this for $10, busts done the same way for $7, and either one uncolored for $2 less. I can also do badges for $15 (laminated and presented at AC or shipped), which I will have examples of very soon.
So if you can help us out, please do. D; If you have no need for the art, I'm also selling some interesting things:
- 3 of my fox tails for $20 each. I paid a great deal more for them than that, and the $20 does include shipping. I can sell for $15 if you'll be at AC and want to get it there. They're very, very pretty.

Taking Requests! Quick!
Posted 13 years agoIdk, need some stuff to draw. Drop me a ref (preferably something I can refer to with just one picture, max 2) of whatever, and maybe I will draws it. No promises for completion. could be a scribble, sketch, linework, headshot, whatever!
Doesn't have to be your character! Drop a ref for yourself or a friend! Whatevs. If you know someone who might want a goodie, send 'em to this journal!
BUT NO HUMANS.
It's never too late! As long as this journal doesn't state otherwise, these are still open! I'm of course highly unlikely to get everyone. Most likely going to pick an choose a few to get myself going, but there's no reason not to drop in and try! I'll get to them in my own time. :>
I'll update this with ones I've done when I had the time!

Update on kittycat, for those interested~
Posted 14 years agoAfter a lot of waiting and some good ol' TLC at home, I'm happy to report that Boomer is not only alive, but he's back to his normal routine of chasing around and generally terrorizing my dogs! :D He's acting every bit like his old self, and I don't think I could ever find the words to thank everyone who helped him get there. I don't know what I would have done if I'd lost him over financial barriers, and you guys helped me tremendously. Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who helped and offered words of encouragement and consolation. Pictures of embarrassingly patchy-shaved Boomer soon. :'D
ilu guys..
Posted 14 years agoTHANK YOU from the bottom of my heart, every last person who had words of encouragement, thoughts of my kittycat in mind, and of course anyone who donated/commissioned/bought from me today. Once again I'm at an utter loss for words, and I've spent the better part of today in shock from the raw display of kindness and empathy I've received from this community. It's astounding... and absolutely humbling. There'll never, ever be words to thank you guys enough.

To those just arriving, my beloved kitty cat companion was attacked by what I assume was a dog, and is now faced with the choice between death and surgery. I came here begging for commissions/sales/donations and got a great, great deal of help for his surgery, and I will be there at the vet with him first thing in the morning tomorrow with the downpayment for his surgery, thanks to you guys.
I will keep you posted on how he's doing! THANK you guys, and
Excess-0 for spreading the word to those able to help me. There just are not words for how eternally grateful I am for this.

Posted 14 years agoI had very nearly forgotten what it felt like.
But over the last ~year, I've come to remember again. I'd like to say that some art can be expected out of me very soon. I've been drawing quite a lot, thanks to the encouragement of someone very dear to me... but unfortunately the bulk of it has been in sketchbook.
In my efforts to get back on my tablet a bit, I wanted to let you guys post references of a character you'd like to see drawn. Yours, a friend's, whatever. Just give me some material and we'll see what I come up with. No limit, as I don't guarantee any in the first place. No humans~
And guys, don't forget the importance of love and laughter in your lives. Don't live a life you hate for anyone else's sake or because you think you have to. And don't ever be afraid to take a chance when it matters the most.
I believe that misery, regret, and hate are a waste of emotions. I'm done with all of them. <3
Now gimme dem references.

Good Plush Maker?
Posted 15 years agoLooking to have a plushie made, and I am just too far removed from the community anymore to realistically know where to begin looking for someone. So many new artists on the radar that I knew nothing of in my years being a bigger part of this community, and I just need some help.
I have some specifications before people start barking suggestions, however, so please read before commenting.
First of all, this plush will be loosely based off of a Tauren Druid bear form: http://asset.soup.io/asset/0570/7650_8acc_960.jpeg ..I say loosely, I mean loosely. About all this means is that it's to be a bear, to have horns, claws, and pointy taurenbear ears. The markings, for the most part, can just be forgotten. I'll work details out with the artist. I'll want it to be simple. No need for open mouth, etc.
I want it to be sqooshy, soft, and cuddly! No statue-esque "plushies" that are meant to be shelfed and never change position. I don't want a stiff, stationary plush. Floppy is good. We're talking beans in the paws!
Don't give me an artist who is going to charge me as if they're building me a fursuit. I have a humble budget, though I don't expect a handout and I'm not cheap. I just don't want to be spending 32432465252 bucks for a floppy ol' custom teddy bear. This is something I want to squeeze, not put under glass.
And I'm looking for big-nose floppy woppy cute factor! Not a replica.
SO. Anyone know anyone? Point me in their direction? :'>

Sifting.
Posted 16 years agoTrying to pull myself together emotionally over the last.. while. Haven't really been up to drawing, and even less up to posting when I do.
But I'm trying. I exploded my last handful of journals somehow and I'm pretty sure my commission info was out of date anyway.. so if I owe you something, just let me know and I'll get to it. I deeply apologize for anything I missed over all this time. Things have been hard for me recently, and I know that's not an excuse, but it's something.
I don't check around here much at the moment, but I don't mind being bumped outside of FA if you need something or just want to chitchat. I'm happy to see friendly faces pop up.. and I'm always on one of these, listed in order of priority.

Posted 17 years agoCROSS POSTED BECAUSE I DON'T CARE.
SO today I heard possibly the best news EVER on the radio. I am to understand that New Kids on the Block are going to appear at the Palace of Aubern Hills sometime in October, together for the first time in 15 years.
NO. YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND. I GO A BIG FAGGY ONE FOR THESE GUYS. This is my childhood incarnate. I still know every word to every song I ever heard, and every so often, I pop in one of my old NKOTB VHS tapes and fap the night away to it.
I never did get to see them live or anything, as I was like WAY fucking little when they were big, and by the time I was even close to old enough to even know what a concert was, they'd already stopped performing.
NOTHING IN THE FUCKING WORLD COULD MAKE ME HAPPIER THAN TO ATTEND THIS CONCERT. I'll of course probably have to pay someone in sexual favors to get them to go with me, as I won't go alone, but I am going to go.
I don't care. They're fucking awesome. >|
