Movie Reviews?
Posted 6 years agoBeen thinking about getting into it. Would anybody be interested in reading them? Already have the first movie selected and will be open to suggestions.
Side note: Wow! It's been way too long since my last journal! I'll have to make sure not to have so much time between them from now on...

My First Time...
Posted 9 years ago...going to a convention, that is! If anyone was wondering, I spent the weekend at Gateway Furmeet 2016, my very first con, and I must say, it was a blast!
This was not my first time meeting
Guan and
SpiritWolfe, but it was great seeing them and spending time with them again! Got to play some Cards Against Humanity (Geddit?) with some of the furs, and
Guan gave us a card combination which caused a few double takes. There was an event later on where there was supposed to be a documentary about being a furry, but the original presenter didn't show up, and their replacement just didn't do well with the material given, so unfortunately, we left before it was over. At night on the first day, I got to meet
Crusader_Cat for the first time after knowing him for many years, and he roomed with us for the rest of the convention, which worked out very well for all of us!
Second day had a little bit of a rough start, but not for us, luckily. One of the guests at the con was left behind by their friends who went back home out of state, leaving them stranded at the con. Thankfully, we helped them calm down, get things sorted out, and we later found them enjoying themselves, so it all worked out in the end! There was a later event about furries on YouTube which was very fun, silly, and even informative, followed by a A Trek Through the Known Universe with an astronomer fur that was interesting to see.
Last day was fairly laid back and uneventful, but there were exceptions. I finally got to meet
Mr_Natel, which ended sooner than either of us would have preferred, but I at least got to give him the hug I owed him, so I count it as a win! There was a later event about writing and drawing furry comics hosted by
boneitis that was very helpful and intriguing. I talked with him for a while afterwards while he worked on some artwork, and he was very nice and friendly, so I had a good time doing that! Next up was a meeting about dragons and dragon furries, and it was definitely interesting to see and hear about how many dragon furries there are. After that, we had to take
Crusader_Cat back to the airport and they took me home. Spent a surprisingly long time talking to mom and dad with them, which was a nice surprise.
Overall, an excellent first convention! There were 200+ people attending, which was relatively small, but you got to stop and talk to them rather than having to say hello and then move on. But it's much easier than a convention with 7000+ attendees, so I'm glad this was my first!

New Story Series!
Posted 9 years agoJust a head's up to my readers, I will be posting a part of a new series of stories called "Tales From the University" very soon! Unlike my previous stories, these will be adapted from role plays I did in a Skype group. Also, these will be co-written with a dear friend of mine,
Nate-Lightningwolf, my first time directly collaborating with another writer! I hope you all enjoy them! I hope you all enjoy!

Today Makes Four Years!
Posted 9 years agoFour years ago,
-The_Zomby_Woof- and I got together. Originally, we were with another as well (it didn't work out, obviously), that proved to be a blessing in disguise, as it served to strengthen what we had even more.
Lately, we've been having a lot of relationship problems, like frequent arguing, low and/or inconsolable moods, impatience, feelings of isolation and loneliness and simply not knowing what our future will entail. But despite all this, we've still pulled through and made it the longest relationship either of us have ever had! Here's to many more!
I would also like to thank everyone who supported us against all odds and all opposition, especially ones who supported us despite ourselves. They knew who they are!
(More information and a different perspective can be found here, by the way: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/7399730/ )

More Artwork?
Posted 10 years agoAfter the positive reception (not here, oddly enough) of this picture https://www.furaffinity.net/view/18393035/ I'm wondering if anyone else here would like to see more artwork of my tigress? Let me know.
Twenty Five Years Old!
Posted 10 years agoAs of today, this otter is twenty five! He has also NEVER broken a bone or been hospitalized in any of those years! He is quite proud of that fact!
Have you ever...
Posted 10 years ago...been blocked by someone here that you've never spoken to and have no idea why they did it? I'm genuinely curious to find out.
Sir Christopher Lee: 1922-2015
Posted 10 years agoOne of my all time favorite actors, known for hundreds of roles, for being the best part of the movie in almost every single one of them, as well as a few heavy metal albums.

Upgrades In Life?
Posted 10 years agoOnly a few weeks ago, and for the very first time, I got a new phone.
Guan and
Spiritwolfe got me an iPhone 4 a while back. It was my very first cell phone, and I had never owned one before. Then I upgraded to a Droid Turbo (which cost me nothing and came with $100 worth of free accessories), and it is honestly like the first phone was almost a mockery by how much better it. Just this week, I got a new computer. Cost me about $800, which was just about all I had in my savings account. I got a 20 inch monitor, six core processors, and other terms I can't recall at the moment. The computer I had before this one I got it in 2009, and it was already a year old by then. Again, this new computer blows the old one out of the water! Is that what upgrading is always like...?

Parting Is Such Sweet Sorrow/Looking Back
Posted 10 years agoAs many of you know, last week, I met the love of my life,
-The_Zomby_Woof-, for the very first time! It was my first time ever traveling alone, and I must say, there were a LOT of problems encountered.
First off, I left on time and got to Atlanta, Georgia. No problems, and no hold ups, it went smoothly. However, shortly after landing, I get a text telling me that the flight to Pennsylvania was cancelled due to weather! So I'm stranded in Atlanta and have no idea what to do. After making a few calls, I get something to eat and am told to check in at a Hilton Hotel. My mate would be covering it. Except when I get there, they refuse to allow him to do that. So I cover it myself, and it cost $149 for ONE night AND wi-fi is extra and had to be paid for. I was also told that I wouldn't be able to make it to Pennsylvania until 11PM the next night. The trip wasn't off to a good start.
Our friend,
Uzukitty18 had lamented that, with my layover of only one and a half hours, she would not be able to meet me in person. However, with the flight cancelled, that was no longer the case. So with the help of my mate, she was able to come by and meet me in person. She brought dinner and we spent a few hours together and it was a great time! The day was salvaged and proved to be worthwhile and memorable! Thank you both for saving the day!
I found out the previous night that my flight was rescheduled to 9:30AM, a much better time! So I got up early, repacked everything, and hurried down to get to my gate. Got there with lots of time to spare. So I hung back and waited for the worst...except nothing went wrong for a change! The flight was on schedule and there were no hold ups and I got there on time. Took me a while to find my bag, but it was a relatively minor issue. I finally see my mate and, after the initial disbelief, I set down my bag and run towards him and literally jump into his arms! That right there has to be one of the best moments of the trip!
Took us a couple of hours to get to our friend,
Spell900's place, where we were staying, but we made it intact. Also met his boyfriend,
gh53890, and it went well, apparently. My mate had car issues, which were detailed in a journal of his own, found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6553224/ On the last day, on the trip home, our plane got held up by two hours or so due to a latch or something needing to be replaced. A couple hours is nothing compared to an entire day. And I got to talk to some interesting people the entire way back! So it wasn't so bad.
There were other moments that stood out as my favorites, like my mate getting a fortune cookie that said 'The love of your life is right in front of your eyes.'! Us laying down on the couch and just holding each other for the very first time, Feran's timing with a certain text, sleeping in the same bed, our first times together *Blushes* I know I am forgetting a few moments. They will be added when I remember them.
So! In conclusion, there were a LOT of difficulties in meeting my mate and traveling alone for the very first time but I would do it again if I had to, and I don't regret doing it at all!

Happy Anniversary!
Posted 10 years agoThree years ago, today, I got together with
-The_Zomby_Woof-, and we have been in love ever since! Despite many arguments, moments of doubt, weakness, and numerous misunderstandings, our love has never been stronger! In six days, I will be leaving my home state for the first time on my own and going to see him! Sunday can't get here soon enough. X3
Love you, baby! With all my heart, all my soul, and every fiber of my being!

Anniversary, News, And Updates
Posted 10 years agoHi, everybody! Sorry for not writing a journal in so long, I never know what to say here anymore. ^^; How is everyone doing?
Anyways, there are a few things I wanted to say. First of all,
-The_Zomby_Woof- and I will be having our three year anniversary on February 23rd! Three years of ups and downs, three years of going through thick and thin, good and bad but, most importantly, three years of true love, always being there for each other, and too many amazing memories to count! I love you, baby! Forever and ever!
Secondly, to celebrate our three year anniversary, I will be making my very first trip out of state on my own to go and meet my baby for the very first time! This is a very big step for us! We have the flight booked and everything! I'm very nervous but, even stronger than the nervousness we both feel, the feeling of excitement and anticipation is even greater! We can't wait! Wish us luck!
Thirdly, there are a few pieces of artwork that are coming up soon, so keep your eyes open for them! That is all for now. Thank you for everyone here who took the time to read through this!

Another Day, Another Year Older
Posted 12 years agoI am now another year older and, as one of my friends said, 'You wake up one morning, and you're older. Nothing feels any different'. He was absolutely right.
Parting Is Such Sweet Sorrow
Posted 12 years agoI spent all of last week with my mentor/Master,
Guan, and my furry dad,
Spiritwolfe. We went to The Arch and the zoo and, overall, it was quite an amazing week in what could have been very mundane and average otherwise! On the weekend, we stayed in and did a "Lord Of The Rings" marathon, which was always something I wanted to do, but never got around to.
It was...extremely difficult seeing them leave, after one of the most amazing weeks of my life, but I take comfort in the fact that I'll see them again sometime. And next time will also have me finally meeting my mate,
-The_Zomby_Woof-, and possibly
Ven_Blackfurr as well!
How is everyone else doing?

Roger Ebert: America's Favorite Critic
Posted 12 years agoIt is with a heavy heart that I am writing this. Earlier today, Roger Ebert, respected film critic and tv host, lost the long, ongoing battle he'd been having with cancer. He was seventy years old. Rest in peace...
http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/.....th-cancer.html
I no longer have any faith in professional film critics. Ebert was the only one I ever respected enough to follow.
"I cannot recommend the movie, but...why the hell can't I? Just because it's godawful? What kind of reason is that for staying away from a movie? Godawful and boring? That would be a reason."-Roger Ebert

"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey"
Posted 13 years agoI have never written a movie review before. But hell, if any movie was going to get me to do one, its this one!
We (My mom, dad, and I) saw the movie on opening night, at forty eight frames a second and in 3D. And...wow! It was like there was no movie screen, just a window you looked through and saw it.
Right. Onto the movie itself. The first thing I noticed was how jaw droppingly beautiful the entire thing was. None of us had any difficulty seeing it at 48 frames per second. It added quite a lot to it, as mentioned above. I think the most impressive feat of the movie was seeing Christopher Lee looking very much like his younger self (Think either 30 or maybe 40) and...it wasn't obvious! It looked completely natural! None of the other returning characters looked like they aged a day, and Galadriel actually looked younger somehow! The rest of the movie was done just as flawlessly. The scenery was good enough that they could have made the entire thing just one set after another and it would have been good. They managed to develop all the dwarves and the other characters, the fight scenes were frenetic, intense, exciting, and very well executed. There was more than enough humor to keep everyone laughing when they were supposed to. And the music...oh my God! No words can do it justice! I honestly couldn't find a single thing to complain about in this film, and it managed to be as good as "Fellowship Of the Ring".
All in all, I give it a 12 out of...wait, why are you still reading this?! Go see it! Now!

Birthday Today
Posted 13 years agoJust thought you all should know.
On a side note, why are there so many furries with September birthdays?
sunktokeca had an interesting explanation as to why: Most September babies were likely concieved on Christmas or New Year's.

I'm Very Disappointed In You
Posted 13 years agoHear I am, putting all my heart and soul into a story (Found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8082459/ ), and it barely gets thirty views? I have over five hundred watchers (Though I feel unworthy of this fact). To anyone who has done the math, that's fewer than one tenth of my total watchers who have viewed it. I'm almost reluctant to post the next part of my story on Wednesday.
NOTE: To those who viewed and commented on it, you have my heartfelt thanks.
